Good to read that woke little studes like these kids are having to learn how to stand on their own two feet!

I’m sure a ‘degree’ in politics and economics (degree? – how about a useless piece of coloured paper saying this little twat thinks it knows everything now), will ensure that they make a big living after all these hard times!

Thank Blair for making sure that its parents had to foot the bill for a crap uni stay and keep it off the unemployed lists!

There’s No obvious context there for shouting paedophile.
It could be that a number of Republicans have been convicted
but he supplies no evidence for that.

Or it could be he is a crazy activist with a Tourettes like habit of shouting “pedophile” .. his many tweets
      That’s mudslinging

Ironically half the time he mocks Republican supporters for conspiracy theories about Democrat pedophiles
      like this
“Who else thinks Democrats need to do a MUCH better job countering the absolutely disgusting Republican “pedophile” attacks?”
“Get this! A man who believes Trump is working to take down a powerful cabal of CHILD-EATING PEDOPHILES will be a Republican House candidate in Ohio this November”

      eg

Matt Gaetz, sits on a house judiciary committee.
He hasn’t been convicted of any such crime.

One of his many tweets throwing the label on Trump

      To DonaldTrump jr

And the next victim group, selflessly identified by the BBC in their unending pursuit of dividing society is……wait for it……university students in shared housing.

Yes they are feeling all hurty because people are asking each other to turn the lights off, use less heating, share out the loo rolls equally etc etc. Get out the hankies. But…

Hang on. Use less heating and lighting ? Aren’t these students the very same Greta- loving ones who ‘say no to fossil fuels’ , support ER, just stop oil and the like?
Why are they whingeing? Surely they should be using almost no heating or lighting as Gas is our main source of energy. They should be glad to be cold and in the dark. It’s what they wish for the rest of us.

Cynical? About the BBC selective reporting? About hypocritical virtue-signallers? Moi?
    Surely not.

Biden and Obama take stage together in battleground state
    https://www.bbc.com/news/live/world-us-canada-63525117

Goodness me : this should be entitled ‘Party political broadcast for the Democrat party donated by the British public’.

I’ll assume the BBC charter only means they are ‘supposed’ to be neutral for British politics because this ongoing blog is more like a North Korean propaganda piece.

Two things stand out for me.
First is how desperate the BBC clearly are over this election and are pushing the bias line about a foot here instead of the usual inches.
Second that it exposes completely how the real person behind it all is Obama. He has become centre stage and the actual President is more like an assistant.

Here’s a taste of the general narrative the BBC push in this article:

Denise Garfield told me that she really doesn’t want to see Democrats lose control of Congress because “our democracy is at stake, it truly is”.
“The chaos! I don’t have the words for how bad I think it will be for America and for the world.”

Stephanie Ryan said that how Pennsylvania votes matters “because women matter. Because our rights matter. Because black lives matter, foreign lives matter – everyone’s lives matter!”

Hidden in the rhetoric you learn Trump is also campaigning but they don’t mention him much at all. We get the odd paragraph with titles such as ‘Will election deniers be running elections?’ from Lurch and ‘How many election deniers are running for office?.’. Classic left-wing labelling.

This article is the BBC at it’s most extreme. They are desperate.

I can’t wait to read the excuses, bitterness, spite and complete change of attitude when the partisan BBC sulk after the election. The word ‘democracy’ won’t be used much then.

    Regarding the above:

Liberal Democrats: Give struggling homeowners £300 a month https://t.co/9ZdEBWbCuU

It mentions the Conservative “gross mismanagement of the economy” (problems largely due to debts caused by lock down and furloughs) so, what did they say at the time ?

    Here we are:

    “Protect Furloughed Workers
Ending the furlough scheme too early would be a disaster for millions of families and our economy.

    1. A “Safe to Return to Work Scheme” providing a new wage subsidy for all employees coming off furlough, with:

●50% of salary paid during the first month in work, after furlough.

●40% of salary paid during the second month in work, after furlough.

●30% of salary paid during the third month in work, after furlough.

New “Prepare to Return to Work” flexibility for part-time work in the Jobs Retention Scheme:

Building new extra flexibility into the existing Jobs Retention Scheme, to help businesses prepare for a return to work.

From 1st June, a furloughed employee would be allowed to work up to 50% of their time, whilst remaining on furlough, with the existing 80% wage subsidy.”

    https://www.libdems.org.uk/protect-furloughed-workers

    And here:

“Fixing the Government’s Response to the Covid-19 Pandemic

The Liberal Democrats have watched in horror and disbelief as the government made mistake after mistake tackling the Covid-19 crisis.

NHS, social care workers and emergency service personnel need proper support with a proper pay reward.

The Government must increase their support for disabled people through the social care, housing, education and mental health systems.

It is a moral and healthcare imperative that migrants are not prevented from accessing vaccines, healthcare or financial support.

We are demanding the government suspend the ‘no recourse to public funds’ rule, end immigration checks and upfront charging in the NHS “

Obviously I can’t see the evidence but I would be interested in interrogating Tim Jacques’ definition of “extremist ideology” and his expertise in such matters since I suspect it might merely be taken directly from the likes of Hope not Hate.
As Steve Laws points out in the first 6 mins of his latest Roundup From The Coast HnH immediately jumped in with attacks on the ‘migrant spotters’ – i.e the people who have tried to tell us what goes on in Dover and elsewhere (in the absence of any real mainstream reporting and constant attempts by the government to suppress the facts).

Tim Jacques is the Assistant Chief Constable from Lancashire Constabulary and described as ‘Deputy Senior National Coordinator’ within the ‘Specialist Operations’ team at the Metropolitan Police. I dread to think what training courses he has been subjected to. Not directly the BBC ….

But every day we are told of shortages and failings of various bits of the UK State – won’t bother listing them – you know about long waits for ambulances – full hospitals – full schools –

But why is the root cause never linked . It’s population . Looking at the figures we have gone from 59 million to 69 million from 2000 to now – and the actual population may be far higher .
I won’t do demographics – age ranges – the nature of that 10 million more people – but has there been much by way of planning to meet the needs of those 10 million ?

Yet every day we get individual stories about housing costs and shortages – but silence about this huge population increase in such a short time . ….

However, the public is not told that since 2010 there have been almost 7million new GP registrations by migrants in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Since 2017 there have been 3.1million migrant registrations, yet there are 1,343 fewer doctors.”

AFAIK the government has STILL not redone the constituency boundaries. Remember a Cameron pledge to create equal sized constituencies ( by number of voters).

Labour has a large inbuilt advantage, compare the Tories 2019 ‘landslide’ majority 80, popular vote lead 11.5%, with Blair’s 2005 result, a not dissimilar majority of 66, with a popular vote lead of only 2.8%.

Yet the Tories have been asleep on this one for a decade.

“It just shows there’s a decent wage to be had, coming here to get kicked out.
“The government needs to just grow a pair and send illegal migrants back to France the day they arrive here without a penny.”

The double act of Presidents Biden and Obama drew a huge crowd in north Philadelphia. I talked to some of the people standing in a queue that stretched several blocks down the street.

Some of the crowd admitted it was really Barack Obama they had come to see, and they might not have turned up if Joe Biden had been here alone.
Denise Garfield told me that she really doesn’t want to see Democrats lose control of Congress because “our democracy is at stake, it truly is”.

You may want to leave the the doom and gloom of the BBC and MSM news and read this news for a change.

In this week’s newsletter the theme is food , read about Eilat’s international summit of food technologies; Israel’s new agricultural agreement with Bahrain; an experiment to grow seeds on the Moon; Tel Aviv’s FoodTechIL conference during Israel’s AgriFood week; two Israeli NGOs investing in agricultural technology and sustainable farming; and the finalists of an exciting Israeli FoodTech competition.

An Israeli startup uses 3D-printing to produce marbled beef; another is creating proteins to preserve food; Israeli crop irrigation pipes are being recycled; and water contamination is being eliminated. Finally, an Israeli device helps maintain a healthy metabolism, and Burger King has launched their first vegan Whoppers in Tel Aviv.

There is talk that Sunak/ Hunt may reduce the pension lifetime allowance, currently £1,073,000.

Many readers may say, ‘millionaires, serve them right’. I do not. It’s equivalent to a pension of about £35,000 a year. Which, say, an experienced teacher would get. Or police or fire officer.

With inflation at 10% the value of that allowance reduces by 10%.,Just like that. Pension values above that are taxed at 55%. Annuities, even after the recent hikes in interest rates, are still way below 5% for an inflation protected product.

So now let’s compare this with the public sector. That’s the sector where everyone wants to strike for more pay.

Their pensions are inflation protected. No 10% reduction for them. And to convert their pension entitlement into the equivalent lifetime allowance, a factor of 20 is used. Which equates to an annuity rate of 5%. And their pensions are totally guaranteed, irrespective of stock market fluctuations, especially crashes just before retirement, and their pensions are free from the fear of the pension scheme going bust. Remember Robert Maxwell and the Mirror Group?

So my question is….if they reduce the lifetime allowance, what equivalent measure will they introduce for the public sector? In the interests of fairness and equality, you understand.

    Listen. Total silence.

Even the Labour Party decided Perfessir Murphy AKA The Sage of Ely was an eejit and a liability – not exactly an endorsement from an outfit that still retains the services of one D.Abbott.

I thought Tim Worstall was overdoing it for a while, constantly hitting “The Spud” as he calls him – but, like the Guardian – he’s a perpetual source of misunderstanding / idiocy.

I feel sorry for his students.

Jomana Abedi: ‘Why can’t people leave us in peace and realise we suffered too?’
Her brother Salman Abedi, 22, killed 22 men, women and children in May 2017
His younger brother Hashem was later jailed for a minimum of 55 years for role

Their father, Ramadan Abedi, and elder brother, Ismail, 29, remain in hiding.

They have refused to appear as witnesses at the bombing inquiry or answer any questions from British police who say they remain ‘persons of interest’. The family have not spoken publicly about the attack for five years.”

“Report into London Bridge terror attack won’t name killer Usman Khan” (Times on Friday 28th)
The name of the London Bridge terror attacker Usman Khan is being erased from an official report into the tragedy over fears it could “demonise” Muslims.

However, critics warned last night that the decision instead risks “fanning the flames” of far-right extremism
It has now emerged that, because of a Labour councillor’s fears of “demonising” the Muslim community and boosting far-right extremists, the name of the 28-year-old jihadist was to be erased.

At a meeting of Staffordshire county council’s Safeguarding Overview and Scrutiny Committee on Monday, which was receiving the chief coroner’s report outlining how future deaths could be prevented following the inquests of Khan’s two victims, debate focused on the inclusion of Khan’s name in the report.”

The Muslim lady Labour councillor is quoted
“It also detracts from the fact that we have, in the world as a whole, a far more far-right and neo-Nazi threat than we have now of Islamist jihads.
The NSPCC recently reported that a record number of our children are now being groomed by the far-right”

That blame shifting seems offensive to me.
I can imagine some wacko or police double agent might get a kid or two into praising actual Nazis
However the word grooming should not be used cos that disrespects the rape ordeal of 5,000+ Pakistani grooming raping gang victims
