Roger Hallam, one of the driving forces behind Just Stop Oil, warns what could happen if food shortages due to climate change lead to “social collapse”.

That’s from a TalkTV video I have no intention of watching

I bet he is supported by the same voices, that condemned the Kent reporter for “extreme language” mere cos he quoted residents saying they *defend” their homes against illegals.

Isn’t hindsight a wonderful thing as all the people involved in the disaster caused by the green lunacy leaves a kind of circular firing squad with all those responsible pointing the fingers at others and never accepting responsibility themselves.

This of course includes the BBC who to the best of my knowledge never reported on the downsides which they are claiming in this report was well known about, and yet revelled in what it believed was a ‘green’ dream (for them and a nightmare now for us)!

A woman was murdered in a village on Sunday
then this morning in Doncaster police turned up while a gunman was robbing a shop and they shot him
And in an adjacent area (Halifax) one kid died cos they were throwing fireworks at each other.

Does anyone know if there is any free internet screening of World Cup footy matches ? Eg you tube ? ….

    • StewGreen says:

Doubt that they’ll be general free internet screening cos each nations TV companies will have countrywide rights.

In the UK .. BBC and ITV will have most matches free to air, cos sponsors want maximum eyes on their advertising boards.
So abroad you could use a VPN that gets BBC and ITV.

Both TalkTV and GBNEWS did “kids don’t respect Churchill”
Both brought on a racebaiter who hates Churchill
One black woman one a Bangladeshi imam
Both racebaiters went with “See Churchill murdered 3 million Bengalis in the famine by diverting the grain”

but TalkTV’s Piers Morgan handled it best
“He said stop right there, the Bengal famine is complicated
#1 It was a cyclone that caused the famine, not Churchill
#2 Churchill did have grain that could help, but he made a decision to prioritise that grain for allied troops in Europe, cos keeping them going was critical
#3 He then sought grain from other sources for Bengal , he didn’t say eff you”

whereas on GBnews Dan Wootton didn’t handle it well, he passed it to Anne Widdecombe who wasn’t prepared
Instead of closing that argument down, she went off on a tangent with “Lets look at the big picture , we in England would be speaking German with Jew in concentration camps” .. that cuts no ice with imam who wrongly thinks Churchill personally starved his relatives, he rightly wants to hear sorry first.

Where Brexit went wrong is that our quisling MP’s didn’t do it 100% from day one. So much niggling over un-negotiated crap. We should have just cut ALL links and requirements to the bloody EU on day one under UK law and there is nothing the EU could have done about it.

If we had done this, the shit we are going through now would never have happened.

The EU mandarins who live on the back of the European court of justice would have had to come to terms with the fact that the UK was now nothing to do with them, a foreign country in fact.

The EU beurocrats need to understand that the UK is now the UK and not an underling of Brussels and nothing to do with the EU, end of so just sling your hooks!

      #1 5% support the BBC

It’s just now the BBC don’t enforce them

#2 35% of replies are legitimate general condemnation from righties eg Israel supporters condemning the hiding of the Balen report, Tommy supports against Panodrama

#3 A couple of lefties complain about Newsnight smear Corbyn as Lenin, yes that was bias
but then most of the 60% of replies from lefties are “A thief shouting, look over there thief !” trickery
“oh the BBC are a Tory operation look at Laura K and Fiona Bruce” etc.
or moaning that the BBC has 2 or 3 staff who donated to the Tories like Tim Davie the DG did
.. the only way the BBC is pro government is that they both agree with hard lockdowns and Covid paranoia.

Sriram Krishnan: The Indian-American ‘helping’ Elon Musk run Twitter
    https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-india-63481873

Until the Leftists such as the BBC stop making all their news about race – even when it’s irrelevant to the story, the Western world is going to remain divided. Being pro- any race over another will always create a divide.

I’m now convinced that is exactly what they want. I’ve seen enough now to know the ‘clever’ Lefty’s use it as a spite-based weapon against the Right. They are just tools. The BBC don’t actually care one bit about black people or anyone else – as their complete lack of interest in stories which don’t involve a guilty white person proves.

The rest are just group-think, low-IQ drones who think virtue-signalling along with the group proves they are better people than they actually are.

When you examine most of the complaints by the ‘victims’ of racism, you discover that their real motivation is almost always personal gain. They want something more for themselves such as parts in films and awards – but usually money. Only a few are truly decent people who actually care about inequality.

  28. Zephir says:

    @JC

it is the same with environmental issues.

I was thinking yesterday, if all the virtue signalling companies were truly committed to environmental issues, they would NOT manufacture items that were made as hard as possible to disassemble to repair, making them so if they go wrong you have to buy a new one creating MORE waste than necessary and making MoRE profit by creating this waste.

Add to that the limited lifecycle designed into many items…

Ever tried to repair an electrical item ? first you have to work out how to get into the bloody thing, they even use screws that are a difficult as possible to find screwdrivers for.

Insurance companies and manufacturers will not repair they will usually replace, which means we are still a throwaway society.

    BTW

If you have a Japanese car or motorbike and wonder why the crossply screwdriver does not work, as I did last week when trying to do some work on a Honda, they even have their own screwdrivers that look crossply but are NOT:

“JIS versus Phillips Head Screw Drivers (Japanese Vehicles)
After a few years of working on Japanese vehicles, I finally realized the Phillips head screws that I’ve been sometimes stripping are not really Phillips head screws at all. It turns out that Japanese equipment uses screws that are built to the Japanese Industrial Standard (JIS) B 1012 specification.

These screws look like a Phillips screw, but are designed not to cam out and will therefore be damaged by a Phillips screwdriver under high torque. JIS screw heads are usually identifiable by a single dot or an “X” to one side of the cross slot. “

“Slavery has historically been widespread in Africa. Systems of servitude and slavery were common in parts of Africa in ancient times, as they were in much of the rest of the ancient world.[1] When the trans-Saharan slave trade, Indian Ocean slave trade and Atlantic slave trade (which started in the 16th century)[2] began, many of the pre-existing local African slave systems began supplying captives for slave markets outside Africa.[3][4] Slavery in contemporary Africa is still practiced despite it being illegal.

In the relevant literature African slavery is categorized into indigenous slavery and export slavery, depending on whether or not slaves were traded beyond the continent.[5] Slavery in historical Africa was practised in many different forms: Debt slavery, enslavement of war captives, military slavery, slavery for prostitution, and enslavement of criminals were all practised in various parts of Africa.[6] Slavery for domestic and court purposes was widespread throughout Africa.[7] Plantation slavery also occurred, primarily on the eastern coast of Africa and in parts of West Africa.[8] The importance of domestic plantation slavery increased during the 19th century, due to the abolition of the Atlantic slave trade.[9] Many African states dependent on the international slave trade reoriented their economies towards legitimate commerce worked by slave labour.”

Evette sounded like she was on just a minute – speaking without stopping or being interrupted and ending a 2? Minute rant with the real subject – the PM….. pixie always sounds like she is telling off a naughty 5 year old ….

It was pure swamp stuff – ‘the thick of it ‘ for radio and one of the many reasons people are off to ‘boom radio ‘ .

It didn’t leave us better informed – didn’t offer a solution to any voter problem .

The item was followed by a screeching ( volume down ) thing about kids on the internet – yawn

And then the off switch when another screechy woman turned up to moan about not enough wimmin in the board room s – ( off switch ) …

Maybe boom radio. – which I’ve never heard is the answer ….?

    Ukraine? apparently

Why is the “west” determined to continue ruin its manufacturing for the name of green = expensive. And we pay for it

India, China etc – talk of green, but

Look at “green” electric cars, approx £10k dearer to buy against a diesel/petrol model car. Get 200miles on a full charge (summer months, worse in the winter) when new, deteriorate each year, plus an expensive battery change in a few years. Toyota yaris 300,000 to 500,000 miles before replacing main components (Engine, gearbox, etc)

Our World Economic Forum’s UK Representative/Agent, Richi Sunak has pledged £100 Billion from the empty coffers to:

“Finance: Make significant progress on climate finance, including the delivery of the promised $100 billion per year to assist developing countries.”

Aka, ‘Reparations’. With an emphasis on Africa. I wonder if they will invite Bob Geldof in on the administration. After all, he had a prime role previously in watching the money donated, going to African dictators.

    https://www.weforum.org/agenda/2022/10/cop27-why-it-matters-and-5-key-areas-for-action/

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, the only way to stop this reckless behaviour of the WEF Agent is, somehow, stop the money flow going into the Exchequer. The Taxpayers Alliance did not respond to my suggestion some years ago.

I thought the BBC didn’t do adds.

    Compare the take on Mastodon:

with a “similar” piece on Parler a couple of years back:

First England international cap for Rishi in this body shaming edition

You’d have thought our masters would sense we were all copped out by now…

And yet here we go again: COP27: Ukraine a reason to act fast on climate change – Rishi Sunak (BBC) – I’m not entirely sure I see the connection. I suppose it’s a line intended to stave off potential current criticism of our expensive, unreliable green energy sources that have somewhat snookered our sanctions against Russia and instead turned energy into a rather effective Russian lever against ourselves…

“Climate and energy security go hand-in-hand,” he [Rishi Sunak] said in his first international appearance since taking office. (BBC) – He said a true thing there. One does admire those little journalistic flourishes, such as – first international appearance – did Gary Lineker give some input into this report? I hope our Gary is out there at Sharm el-Sheikh – he may as well stay out there in that part of the world for the upcoming Qatar World Cup

I’m oddly reminded of that strange debate as to whether Queen Cleopatra was black. No, say the historians, she was a descendent of the Macedonian Greek Ptolemaic dynasty. But, say the enthusiasts, Egypt is in Africa, so surely she must have been as black as Newgate’s knocker. Anyway we want her to have been black – QED. Like Elon Musk, born Pretoria, South Africa?

Imagine a hundred years from now the future debate as to whether Gary Lineker was black? The pro-black camp will have a crucial self-idenfying as black quote. And perhaps the clincher – In a friendly against Brazil prior to Euro 92, England win a penalty. Up steps Lineker. We were about to see him make a pig’s ear of it.

Hey, what’s all this body-shaming talk of ears? It’s all just a bit of playground name calling.

Schools to cut staff in budget squeeze, union says (BBC) – one assumes that if they can get the nurses and the teachers out on strike at the same time the BBC thinks it can bring the government down. With the added benefit there will be millions more women at home during the day watching Homes Under The Hammer, Bargain Hunt, Loose Women, Doctors and Eggheads.

“My children have been saying to me ‘are we going to be able to eat?'” (BBC) – yeah, mine too. Always nagging for something to scoff.

Red alert for Earth: gravest warning yet on climate change (‘i’) – can you imagine one of these COP shows that didn’t up the stakes?

‘We are on a highway to climate hell… Co-operate or perish’

You will obey, or you will be exterminated! – That was the Daleks. But they were in fact out for galactic domination, not a greener planet.

Just what planet are they on! – exclaims rather than asks the Daily Mail as: Now campaigners say UK should pay £1 TRILLION in climate change reparations to poorer nations

Another frontpage preoccupation this morning is the photo of Sunak hugging French President Macron. Don’t expect any actual solution to the Channel migrant crisis – the smile is simply Macron pleased to be snapped with a British a PM who’s more of a short arse than he is.

New EU Directive BBC Programme Labels – for a new transparent and accountable BBC
“I, Jeremy Vine, cost the public £750K* per year which is the equivalent to 21.5 nurses on £35K, declare that I have no other incomes derived from my broadcasting at the BBC. I have declared all my expenses and registered all gifts on the BBC expenses website. I, Jeremy Vine on this 30 minutes of show, with production time of 2 hours at an hourly rate of £1153 cost you the public £2884*. This does not include the studio and team wages. All monies I make from my ‘BBC Brand’ go back into the BBC. I follow the BBC guidelines – not giving my opinion on subjects that I know little about on twitter, facebook. If I do give an opinion then they are 100% in agreement with the BBC and have been approved by the BBC at time of publishing. Please note that reading out this EU compliant notice just cost you, the public enforced to pay my wages under threat of prison, a total of £76*.”

      * hourly rate is rough calculation, without knowing Jeremy Vines full wage it will be hard to workout. Figures are for illustrative purposes only. They may go up or down depending gender or TV Tax, but are NOT linked to the talent market.

“You (Gary “@750K from enforced TV Tax + BT Sport + Walkers” Lineker) should not worry (Indeed, look at your wage). You are in a market (BBC Only market, dominating 50% of news output) where presenters are paid at going rates ITV CH 4 pay (Examples Sugar please! What is Lineker’s hourly rate so we can compare.) more than the BBC. You have shown loyalty ( Loyalty to a BBC that forces payment from the public on threat of prison, that gives pedophiles a unquestionable platform, that lets its Directors claim £34 expense when they are on £450K salaries) ” – Lord Sugar – Twitter – jul2017

Vine seems to be in that same freelance loophole that linaker exploits – using a ‘name ‘ given by the BBC to promote his cause – this time tedious cycling ….

I find it offensive to knowingly use a 5 year old kid to test the behaviour of car drivers . What sort of parent risks their 5 year old in such a way ? Is it a crime ?

Anyway – I drive a car – a motor scooter and very seldom a push bike , if you use 2 wheels you can expect an attempt on your life at least once every 2 weeks – this attempt to kill you will either be reckless or intentional –

I find the ‘school run’ brigade the most dangerous as they only care about little Mohammed and Fatima getting to/ from school – they’ll kill someone on 2 wheels without blinking .

Making roads more hostile to car drivers nocks the effect onto others – dead 5 year old cyclists and motor cyclists – I exclude those just eat kamikazis from this discussion .

No real danger of ever hitting the child unless he somehow fell or came off the bike.

Biggest issue here is why such a young child being put on a busy main road in poor weather conditions.

      Horrific parenting.

      -Dad can we go cycling

-Yes but it needs to be in middle of a busy road

      -Why?

-Because I want to use you to make a social media video

      -Isn’t it dangerous though?

-Yes but be quiet and cycle towards that car while I record it.

      -Where will you be?

      -Behind you

Jeez I just watched the video, the car is in its lane and not going very fast, so is entirely within the law.

It’s not up to oncoming traffic to stop just cos a cyclist is overtaking a parked car.
By pulling out to overtake the parked car The cyclist has signalled that he feels safe.

OK the car is overtaking parked cars too so is just over the centre of the road, but it’s put towards the centre by the way the traffic gate works
Someone put up a still which shows the car is in its position already, before the boy has decided to pass the parked car.
If the boy was driving a car he would have been the one that would have had to stop.

I wonder if it occured to him that children of 5 should not be riding bicycles on the open highway.

If the NHS spends money on being green and pays nurses more, there will be less nurses, cos the moneypot doesn’t magically grow.

Green and Covid policies must be paid for, that means the UK workers have to take a real terms pay cut.
