THE monthly meeting of the board of directors of the European Investment Bank (EIB) in March began with the approval of a €80m loan to the Bulgarian subsidiary of a Turkish glass tableware manufacturer.

But it was another Turkish loan decision made that day among nearly €4 billion worth of lending that this week sparked uproar among Southampton Euro MPs and unions.

Meeting at the bank’s headquarters in Luxembourg – a striking glass-roofed building, its 28 directors and 12 alternate directors signed off up to €190m of funding for a Ford Transit factory in Turkey.

Good to note that Andrew Bridgen will sit as an Independent MP.

I wish that many more would leave the blue labour and do the same, we might get some sort of action at last!

Actually, with old labour still owning loads of trots, assorted lefties, union-paid flunkeys, plus other failures, a few of them could stand as independents and we could at least give them a chance as well…

I know we would in Tunbridge Wells!

More whopping lies by ommission yet again by the BBC.

They completely fail to mention he is an asylum seeker who lied about his age and settled an argument in the way they do where he came from. They even try to infer it wasn’t really his fault by concentrating on the argument instead of this savage deliberately stabbing someone through the heart.

These are the ethics of the BBC. None whatsoever. The agenda justifies everything. As it did for Hitler, Pol Pot, Stalin etc etc.

Wow 6pm bbc news – just a 10 minute advert for the medical mafia – with a mixed message of more money and an even bigger NHS –
Shame the government won’t have the guts to fight them for a year or more ….. they really need to control the NHS spending .
If the responsibility for the NHS always falls on thr government – why not dump the management layers and run the thing – or sell it off …

I think the BBC should call for a general strike, with all their leftie mates joining in…

That way, normal working citizens could quickly form their own strategies to get UK Inc back on track, without childish striking journos in W1AA, no more frivolous MPs pissing their expenses up the wall, no more useless guards on trains, no more wasteful diversity managers in the NHS, no more hangers-on in local authorities, no more letting illegals in – (lots of new work for dinghy-returning high-speed boats), no more London transport drivers on £80,000 a year…

What more could a peaceful indigenous British population want?

What I have observed with the BBC is not so much that they are a biased, lying bunch of toads but they actually know this and continue doing it regardless. They couldn’t give a fig for any criticism and will ruthlessly follow their extreme left wing direction as long as they are paid while they do it.

Fix: stop bloody paying them! We need people on the streets gluing themselves to Broadcasting house and throwing red paint at it until the public put their wallets away.

They are a left wing agitator and need the whole lot of lefty employees cleaning out to get back to become the real national broadcaster they are paid for and are supposed to be.

I read that Tesla cars are losing shitloads in valuation after only one year and some stupid owners are a tad miffed.

I am sure this is not confined to Tesla cars. Although I expect the manufacturers will want to keep this under wraps.

All electric cars owners are going to have to face the fact that they have paid big bucks for a pile of shite eventually.

When will our noble and upright media like the BBC start to ask what is going to happen to all those massive dead lumps of battery cells when they cough or need megabucks to replace with another lump of cells that will die as well.

At least the remains of a petrol or diesel car is mostly just metals to be recycled.

Car makers have obviously tumbled to the realisation that if you sell a reliable vehicle that only needs to be topped with fuel from time to time you will make no further profit from the buyer. Batteries have offered them the ideal way to fix that issue to keep people paying them.

In much the same way, a few years back if you wanted to buy some professional computer software you paid up and got it for use from there on. Now you can’t do that, you have to pay again every year to continue using it.

Why are we building a massive problem for ten years time and the media monkeys have their hands on their eyes just because their nutcase green religion blinds them to reality as they spew vitriol at owners of cars that have proven to be efficient for so many years?

On the news. A seal has turned up in a freshwater fishing lake,

    All together.. aaahhhhhh. How sweet.

Except the seal is eating his way through all the fish. He’s got through £2500 so far and the lake owner has had to close down. Someone’s living is on the line here. Losing thousands of pounds.

This is of no interest whatever to the patronising BBC. At the end of the story the usually OK Sophie Raworth gave us the aahhhh, and the sigh. No doubt where her sympathies lie. With an animal not the humans.

BBC presenters in IR35 case must pay thousands back in taxes, court rules
      PUBLISHED: 12:38, Tuesday, 24 September 2019 | UPDATED: 16:40, Thursday, 15 July 2021

      https://freelancecorner.co.uk/bbc-presenters-inside-ir35/

Three BBC presenters must pay hundreds of thousands of pounds back in IR35 taxes, despite a High Court judgement that found the corporation had wrongly forced them to use personal service companies.

Joanna Gosling, David Eades and Tim Wilcox must pay back HMRC £920,000 after a tribunal ruled their contracts with the BBC fell inside the off-payroll tax rules (IR35).

The presenters’ case, which has taken eight years to resolve, is one of few high profile IR35 cases HMRC has won. Earlier this year, the tax authority lost its cases against ITV presenters Lorraine Kelly and Kaye Adams.

The Vision of the Anointed (1995) is a book by economist and political columnist Thomas Sowell which brands the anointed as promoters of a worldview concocted out of fantasy impervious to any real-world considerations.[1] Sowell asserts that these thinkers, writers, and activists continue to be revered even in the face of evidence disproving their positions.

Sowell argues that American thought is dominated by a “prevailing vision” which seals itself off from any empirical evidence that is inconsistent with that vision.

The book challenges people Sowell refers to as “Teflon prophets,” who predict that there will be future social, economic, or environmental problems in the absence of government intervention (Ralph Nader is one of his foremost examples).

You have to dig right into the article to discover it’s because they refuse to be organ donors. A more accurate headline would be:

“Why do black people refuse to donate organs ?.”. But there’s no element of ‘victimhood’ in the truth.

    Brought to you by:
    tuckvbt__400x400.jpg

The problem is that every black person thinks white people are racist. They have it drummed into them every day by the BBC. And none of them think black people are racist because nobody has ever dared to say it. So we end up in this ridiculous situation.

Nothing much else happening in the world edition

In candid moments – when they’re not insisting they’re uniquely unbiased – our public service national broadcaster will stress their news provides a counter-weight to the right-wing press.

    Let’s do some fact-checking…

The globalist corporate FT this morning frets over the popularity of the likes of Trump and Brexit and coins a new disease-related term for conservatism: Long populism takes toll on the body politic. Robert Shrimsley

    Populism is a pathology now

This on a day when the chronically coronaphobic left-leaning ‘i’ newspaper relents somewhat on its hypochondria: Hope for millions who have long Covid… Major new study finds that symptoms should disappear within one year – breaking it to them gently that this long Covid was just possibly somewhat of a fevered figment of their media-hyped imagination?

Meanwhile the supposedly conservative Tory loyalist paper – even if the present Tory leader happens to be a liberal-leaning big government spendthrift unelected placeman – does a hit job on the one brave Conservative MP who was willing to question the orthodoxy: Bridgen loses whip over Holocaust tweet… the tweet was condemned by Rishi Sunak

Nuremberg Code, anyone? Permissible Medical Experiments… The voluntary consent of the human subject is absolutely essential

Universities still carry outdated Covid vaccine mandates for healthcare courses. The requirement, withdrawn in March, could deter prospective students from signing up during a severe NHS staffing shortage, a study found (Telegraph, October 2022)

Telegraph and FT win top spots on the BBC online press line up this morning, mind you. So the BBC can claim it isn’t always favouring the lefty press.

The FT’s chronic compulsion is of course anti-Brexit stories.

Brexit progress elusive – is a typical FT news briefing headline – the negativity typically disguising EU intransigence and Brussel’s anti-British guerilla tactics – this time on the long-running Northern Ireland issue.

The Remoner FT aims to shore up opinion against Brexit. Their supposedly factual graph-adorned feature Datawatch presents another opinion survey confirming FT priors concerning Brexit buyer’s regret: The desire to leave the EU dropped dramatically in many European countries… after witnessing the effects of Brexit in the UK

The FT knows what’s good for big business – and apparently that’s a good war: UK and Poland confirm plans to give Ukraine tanks… pressure on German government to follow suit

Gosh, if this apparently pointless war has done anything, it’s shored up European unity – you don’t suppose that’s the point of it, do you? Remember folks, it’s not a conspiracy theory, if it’s true.

The Daily Express remains stalwartly pro-war: United with the people of Ukraine – despite: The retirement dreams of millions of workers have been shattered by the cost-of-living crisis

The Guardian could hardly be accused of a conservative slant. Practically every lefty box is ticked on their cover page this morning…

There’s some interesting cross-fertilization from environmental (accent on the mental) Greenie campaigner George Monbiot as he weighs in on the NHS: I saw how the Tories are bleeding out the NHS

However, there’s no dots joined between governmental utopian Greenery and our soaring fuel bills…

Top Guardian headline reads: Fury as millions on prepay energy plunged into cold and dark

And no elite celebrity guilt as the Gruan celebrates: Return of the Golden Globes – betcha there’s plenty of lefty-flavoured acceptance speechifying

Black interest is served: Tennis star Naomi Osaka announces pregnancy

That rogue Tory is further flash mobbed, this time by the left: Tory loses whip over ‘Holocaust’ comment

And finally the Gruan speaks directly to its public sector readership: More than 100,000 to strike in civil service – given the huge numbers still WFH, how exactly will that strike manifest itself? Where to place the picket lines?

Out of date, past its prime, same old old-Labour-supporting Daily Mirror takes a swipe at the same old past his prime Boris Johnson: Same old Tories… Same old Johnson – that’s what she said… as the many-years-married bored wife said to her dull husband?

The formerly patriotic, now anti-patriarchal mainly female interest Times asks: Does Harry have a woman problem?

Celebrity is celebrated: Glamour’s back. Star power at the Globes (Times)

BoJo is dissed: Johnson joked of ‘most unsocially distanced party in UK’ (Times) – significantly the Times clips the last two words from that quote: “…right now” – afterall, where would be the relevence today if they were included in thir headline?

The Sun goes with a continuation of the previous Royal story: Prince’s book turmoil goes on

Whereas the Daily Star – ever the joker in the press pack – denies it’s going with the fuss over the Harry book, while going with the fuss over the Harry book: Sling your hook, sunbeam! Daily Star bans manbaby’s whinges… to give redaers a well-deserved break… we reserve the right to change our mind if nothing much else is happening in the whole world

And Mr AsI’s thought for the day… where’s this legendary conservative press then?

      Summary of complaint
We received complaints from people who feel our coverage of the Netflix series Harry & Meghan has been excessive and that we have been promoting Netflix.

      Our response
The Netflix series Harry & Meghan has been widely anticipated, with speculation as to what the Duke and Duchess of Sussex may say about their experiences within the Royal Family, what this may mean for family relations and how this could affect perceptions of the Royal Family.

Prior to the series being released, the trailers issued by Netflix were an indication of the issues which would be discussed. In this context, we broadcast clips of these trailers, which were clearly labelled, as part of our analysis. Our reporting has also reflected allegations that footage and photos used within the trailers were misleading.

While this may not be a story of interest to everyone, we believe our coverage has been proportionate and duly impartial, reflecting public interest.

I don’t bother with M&H usually but I have noted that in recent days several lefty woke MSM outlets in the USA have turned against them or at least been critical of Harry’s book and interviews. Both the NYT and CNN have less than laudatory in their comments.
    Why?

Could it be that at last these outlets realise that H&M are just a couple of money grabbers who will lie through their teeth toget a dollar? Possibly but supporting known liars and doubling down on their lies has never troubled the NYT or CNN in the past so I doubt that is the explanation.

More likely it is a calculation as to which side of this Royal war will do the most of the great worldwide Crusade of the Woke. Charles and William probably rank about 8 out of 10 in Wokeness . H&M rank higher. But Charles and William are far far more influential worldwide than H&M will ever be and can therefore do Wokism much more good. If H&M continue the war on the House of Windsor it diminishes the power and influence of Charles and William and so harms Wokism .

They belatedly realise that Charles is their best friend who is willing to work for the woke cause. Therefore the MSM want Harry to shut up and get Charles on his throne lecturing us all about climate change whilst apologising for slavery and urging the government to spend trillions on reparations.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the palace hadn’t cut a deal with the woke MSM to gently sideline H&M in return for Charles pushing his Wokism even harder. Charles is batting for the long term survival of the House of Windsor not for the indigenous people of Britain.

Im starting to become a fan of the world at one . Today was even more shambolic than GBnews.
There was a piece on junior doctors demanding a 26% pay rise – yes 26%

Then a shambolic report on the failure of the SNP to get 2 ferries for the islsnds .

Then something about military veterens ..

    Lady Brooke sounded elsewhere …

So what is wrong with Afghan schools? Why not go there rather than sue the UK with support from the BBC?

”A group of Afghan families brought to London after the Taliban took power are taking the government to court because a subsequent move north meant their children had to leave a local school during their GCSE studies.

Four families were moved from a London hotel to one in northern England.

A lack of school places near their new temporary home has since set back the teenagers’ education, the families say.
The Home Office said it was trying to find permanent homes for Afghans”.

GWF I just endured another grim R5 feature on this: interviews with the kids, the head of the school, and the lawyer… all pushing the sheer inhumanity that the girls and their parents haven’t been given a permanent home in London yet.

Oh yes, the news bulletin in the middle had newsreader Karishma Patel mispronouncing Hartlepool as ‘Hartel pool’. Then a BBC promo for their Shamima Begum podcast.

Drop the first ‘B’ from their name and the licence fee, it’s only fair.

With all the focus Sky News / Tortoise is putting on their collating of MPs declarations it is easy to forget the other half of the legislature – the Lords – is often the scene of even murkier activity. Going by his register of interests, you might think 2022 had been a quiet year for Peter Mandelson – the Prince of Darkness registered no speaking events, nor foreign trips. Yet one co-conspirator has been quick to point out that this picture isn’t quite complete. In March 2022 Mandelson took a leaf from the New Labour relic’s playbook and schmoozed an authoritarian regime. He spoke at the Doha summit in Qatar, alongside David Beckham, which must have been convenient considering his consultancy has recently opened an office there. Just don’t tell Sir Keir.
