All I can say is that the contestants looked ghastly and the format dated. I watched the odd series at its start. Now from the clips I saw, I would rather watch paint dry.
BBC News
Looks like the BBC is going big on a foreign story – police wrongdoing in the US . The video of 5 cops beating a black man to death is to be released Friday night…..
The half wit BBC reporter in in US asked whether the incident was ‘because of racism’ – the question was put to the police chief who was both female ish and coloured …. The reporter seems to not know the 5 cops were the same colour as the dead man – coloured ….
I suppose the standard ‘race’ question is such a knee jerk reaction that the details – like the colour of the cops ‘ skin is assumed to be white ….
Yeah. That’s really torn it. What are the racebaiters going to do now?
Black guy beaten up by cops. In the USA. The BBC are salivating. Again. How weird.
When any cop in this situation is white, then the charge is racism. Not brutality. Not abuse of position. Not thugs in uniform. Nope it must be racist.
But now. What is it now? Perhaps the BLM organisation could let us know.
A tricky one for the BBC. Well deserved.
Would there be such protests if the victim was white and beaten to death by 5 black cops ? I think not, but I think it would have inflamed a bigger situation with nationalists taking to the streets.
First thing which came my mind was whether these policemen got recruited BECAUSE they are black and the force had a specific quota to fill.
When you recruit people based on quotas instead of suitability, the quality of the end result plummets. As the BBC themselves have so eloquently demontsrated.
But of course there is no way the BBC or any other Lefty will go near that one. They are only running this story because they have to : it will be quickly dropped and there will be no follow-on articles.
The BBC is not going for the Big Story. Far from it, its distracting from any really disconcerting news, which has been the Green agenda since forever.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-64429377
“The head of the United Nations’ refugee agency has accused Moscow of violating “fundamental” child protection principles by giving Russian passports to unaccompanied child refugees.”
He’s never been to Dover then…
‘Ukrainian children had been taken from orphanages in the eastern Donbas region and “forcibly deported” to Russia.’
Russia is just moving them out of the war zone?
Sounds like another guilty untill proved innocent article..
I’ve actually visited an orphanage in the Donbass
It’s a story I get in a few countries
“Ah look we have these orphans we need you to help to get them to America or the UK so they can have a better life”
To which my reply is “The parents of these children are not dead, are they ?”
Ans “No they are alive but they are bad or mentally ill people”
The bottomline is that children belong with their parents , in the culture they were born in
And that money should be spent helping the parents rather than exporting the children to another country.
And as some parents are dangerous, the second best option is to use money to support adoption inside that country.
Foreigners turning up in a country and taking away cute babies is a form of cultural imperialism.
Countries need to learn that their own children are their own responsibility
It’s not up to western countries to clean up after them.
That particular orphanage is in Russian controlled area now and is not at risk from Ukrainian weapons unless Russian forces are operating next door.
Though hopefully the children have already been evacuated to safe places in Ukraine.
If they are children and unvaccinated, they have a far better chance of surviving the trials of life because of natural immunity, then those who have been vaccinated. The vaccine it now turns out, not only does nothing for you, but is likely responsible for myocarditis and resulting death. And if not, kills your natural immunity. See latest from Dr John Campbell. Unfortunately he cannot speak his mind, as the champions of free speech do not like it.
No wonder the authorities are clamping down on free speech even though the matter is not politics. But it is.
The BBC are as slipery as eels. Here’s the picture they use : not a brown arm to be seen:
Then we get the quote:
‘..charged with placing an article “with the intention of inducing in another a belief that the said article was likely to explode or ignite and thereby cause personal injury or damage to property” ‘
It’s a bomb. Why is everybody trying to cover up what these people do ?.
I also note that the BBC now use the word ‘terror’ but not ‘terrorist’ for all of these articles involving Muslims. It’s definitely a new policy from ‘board-room level’ (he says looking upwards).
I did find a picture of him from the ‘Northern Echo’:
Just reading that gobbledygook statement again, it sounds like he pretended he had a bomb when he didn’t.
This is one of those stories that simultaneously appears in all the news feeds and they all say exactly the same thing. As usual nobody goes anywhere near the fact he is another Muslim.
No searching his social media or digging into his personal history for those.
From what we are actually told, he could be one of those 59% far-right terrorists the BBC told us about – which is what I suspect the BBC are trying to make the ignorant masses think with their whiteys-only picture. We have to deduce he isn’t.
Wow, far left in 2nd photo: I spy with my little eye…………….
Surely the BBC could have reduced the photo width to remove a black hand…………(in keeping with their policy you understand)
The BBC chose a different one where everyone is white. And it cannot be just coincidence because all the other pictures they choose have BAME in them.
Story about ‘good’ = Pictures of BAME
Story about ‘Bad’ = Pictures of whites.
My favourite is still the story about stabbings where they showed a very clear white hand holding a knife. They are absolutely racist – but a sneaky, dirty, dishonest kind.
@Sluff the BBC story was up 13 minutes after you posted
The timestamp 2023-01-27 T23:02:51
description”:”The 21-year-old serviceman is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Saturday.”
However not much PR
Someone tweeted the BBC story 2 hours after your post
BBCnews didn’t tweet it until 9:17am Saturday that’s 10 hours after you
The “article” bit is a quote, it’s not from the BBC’s mind
“The Met’s Counter-Terrorism Command said “
I’ve noticed the BBC are obliged to repeat official information such as the quote I used above.
Whether they embelish the story with additional information depends on the agenda. If he were far-right for example, they would investigate his social media and background and find pictures.
Coverage of a fireman who has died on duty in Scotland. The first such death since 2009.
So. Not quite such a dangerous occupation after all.
As mentioned previously, a study showed window cleaning was more dangerous than firefighting. Not that the public know that.
A triumph of public sector propaganda over reality. Not for the first time. How are our NHS heroes doing in Nottingham maternity services? I only ask because the BBC have dropped coverage of the record £800,000 fine up there faster than you can say ‘pay strike’.
Harsh on the fire ‘worker ‘ but right on the spot on the Maternity unit – maybe deserves a name make over ‘baby killing unit ‘ ..
From the very brief coverage yesterday the judge making the award said that he recognised £800k was a lot to hit the health trust for but they deserved it ….
.. afterwards the trust chief exec used ‘lessons will be learned ‘ – managed to keep a straight face – maybe it was the day in the month he gets his pay – £20k a month .
It seems to me that taxpayers deserve to know the names of those responsible – but this country is so undemanding / conditioned that it accepts such practice ….
I wonder if the insane hateful supporters of the SNP Scottish nationalism realise they are supporting an incompetent politician ( ferries – health service – finances – queers )
Today
As predicted the BBC is going big on an event in a foreign country which is 4365 miles away – 5 coloured cops beating a coloured suspect to death .
Why exactly is this ?
Is it because we see so many American cop shows ? Is it the common language ? Is it the BBC fixation with race?
I really don’t get it . Surely there is enough police misconduct / criminality in the UK for the BBC to be satisfied with that ? Eg a claim yesterday that the latest baddy allegedly raped a lady cop who did nothing about it ,
Today spent of 20 – 20 minutes in the 805am slot – there is nothing more relevant to the UK than that ?
I’m so glad I don’t pay for the monster .
PS – notice the NHS case yesterday of a NHS maternity unit killing a baby – being fine £800 000 – appears nowhere in the national BBC news … maybe baby lives don’t matter ? Now the weather .
Disgusting reporting by the BBC, 5 black policemen beat to death a Blackman and they only mention the colour of the white policeman who didn’t have anything to do with the beating
Yep last nights LOCAL news was banging on
This morning’s LOCAL news has made it the main item
The suspects arrest shouldn’t have resulted in his death, same for G Floyd
Same for the black soldier in Hull
and the Hull white learning difficulties guy who went out with an axe (both ruled illegal police killings)
bet no US TV station have ever mentioned them
WH press sec: “The Biden-Harris administration is the most diverse in history … A record 6 assistants to the president are openly LGBTQ" pic.twitter.com/ZGkTNA9pEo
I wonder how the tame liberal so called ‘press ‘ reacted to this claim of ‘success ‘? I’m guessing they just stayed silent and looked at their iPhones …
But it does show what the effect of lack of proper scrutiny achieves …. But compare that with the show the BBC did when trump was in power … 100 days … with the frankly disgusting Christian and ‘katty’ stabbed president trump every day for a 30 minute propaganda show .
Surely – even in the limited coverage of Biden/Obama thar we get from the BBC – there is enough to do 30 minutes a day on Obama / Biden . But no .
The BBC is fair and honest and balanced – the best broadcaster in the world ….
Maybe the coloured girl just wanted to wind up Tucker – that would be ‘success ‘.
Silas Conrad Riley O’Blene, 75, a white, married, heterosexual, indigenous British male was today charged with being racist by buying black grapes which were on offer in Tesco.
“I just wanted to allay the cost of living by purchasing this luxury while they were cheap”, he explained to Inspector Knacker of The Yard!
Mr O’Blene was tasered twice, peppered seven times, shot three times in the leg, blindfolded and handcuffed to a parked concrete lorry and issued with a warrant for the confiscation of all his possessions, his house, his dog and also Senora O’Blene, 74, a white married heterosexual, indigenous British female.
The case was adjourned until Inspector Knacker had made further enquiries at Tesco’s Head Office.
Do you notice how big pub,ic institutions like plod and the NHS have very few ‘? whistleblowers ‘- ie people who tell tax payers about bad things in their outfits ?
The NHS had a habit of muzzling potential whistleblowers by making severance pay dependent on Non Disclosure agreements.
This is supposed to have stopped.
As though we couldn’t have guessed – this morning our BBC spills the beans on how Big Media carefully curates and censors the language used by journos: The Associated Press, the biggest news agency in the United States, has apologised after it was ridiculed for warning journalists against referring to “the French” (BBC)
One has to smile when one notes the stock image – care of Getty – carefully chosen and employed BBC online news as illustrative of potentially offending white male hands poised above the keyboard.
The AP stylebook Twitter account had recommended writers avoid using “the” in phrases like “the disabled, the poor and the French”. It said this could be dehumanising. (BBC)
But…but… as our blunt no nonsense beautiful British comic character the Pub Landlord, steaped in ancient barroom wisdom, has pointed out in his round the globe shtick about foreigners of all stripes – “France, or THE France as it prefers to call itself. La France. In case we should confuse it with some other France! Like reliable turning up in time of battle France”
Forgive him his mildly xenophobic stereotyping for comic effect – forgive and forget and all that – we mustn’t keep harping on about German tanks invading Russia anymore – but he has a point about La France.
The BBC are happy to join in the comedy – making light of the heavy hand of the censor in this case: The French embassy responded by briefly changing its name to the “Embassy of Frenchness in the United States” (BBC)
Language is important in telling our news stories. Media outlets tend to have their house styles.
One example from this morning will suffice.
Daily Telegraph: Workman crushed to death by pop-up urinal
Daily Star: Man killed by a telescopic bog
What value an ace newspaper cartoonist such as Matt – were stories like that to be a daily occurence?
After two years of warning us to stay away from work because it was dangerous and scary to step outside the frontdoor – exploding pop-up lavatories not pertaining – unless it was to clap or bang a pot for our brilliant brave and hardworking NHS… the government now notices workers are demoralised and the economy is bust… and people don’t like it… and might just tend to blame the government.
Once again there’s a noteworthy diversity of language and tone – as different titles relaying the same report speak to what they envisage as being their particular constuency
Over 50s told: Don’t just retire and play golf (Times)
Hunt’s ‘perks’ WILL help millions work again (Daily Express)
Pensions shake-up to keep over-50s in work (Daily Mail)
The BBC are meanwhile banging on about some black fella in an incident across the pond which must be all the rage in their office. We’ve heard it all before… not interested… doesn’t affect us UK licence payers one jot.
The State has a range of nudge carrot and taxation sticks with which to influence our behaviour. I do like this detail: The employment perks are expected to include tax breaks for over-50s who keep working, plus “mid-life MOTs” by financial advisors who will check that employees thinking of early retirement really can afford to quit (Daily Express) – in other words people looking forward to their retirement will have the reality of the cost of living bejesus frightened out of them by a bloke with a spreadsheet. How very Rishi Sunak.
The FT doen’t run its regular Datawatch feature frontpage today but still has a datapoint for us: High demand for chrysanthemums a sign of surging Covid deaths in China
Someone has been busy reading the runes – reminds us of this one: Shop loyalty card data may help spot ovarian cancer… Tracking what shoppers buy, via loyalty-card data, can help spot those with early signs of cancer, doctors who have been running a study say. (BBC)
You see, we’ll all be so much happier and healthier if we’re all tracked and traced to the crony-corporate-state’s digital Nth degree
Talking of finger-in-the-air surveys extrapolated to the Nth degree into frontpage policy pronouncement dimensions: Brexit regrets growing… – screams the left-leaning ‘i’ newspaper.
Despite, as the ‘i’ has to admit: – but UK not eager to rejoin EU… no majority to rejoin Europe, with British deadlocked 43% to 41%
No change there then. I think you’ll find that’s still pretty much the same majority in favour of Brexit. But I’m sure they will let us know the very moment that changes.
“BIG BROTHER. how are we at the diversity dept going to
tell the BBC internet main news pages to handle the
difficult news events of the five policemen and the
collateral damage done to the jews leaving their church .”
“Keep the jews off the front page . And get in touch with
Getty’s and asak them to send an image of five inclusive models
to play the part of the policemen.”
Our BBC does like a lefty-orientated rebuttal story
When a report which exposes some failing ill advised leftist policy emerges in the media our BBC specialises in gifting a counter argument to fellow travellers
Note for example this BBC story: ‘I couldn’t read or write but now I’m saving lives’… A man who couldn’t read or write until he was in his 20s has spoken of his pride after becoming a paramedic.
Why are we treated to this – not exactly news snippet today?
Hmmmmm?
Why, this one in the Times yesterday of course : Met Police recruits illiterate, says watchdog
Spot the timely lefty rebuttal story – it’s another little bias game we can all join in.
Jordan Peterson’s recent podcast with Victor Davis Hanson is a must see. It covers how the way of life of the USA is being systematically destroyed by Wokism . The very fabric of society is being ripped apart . The same is true of the UK , indeed in some aspects we seem to further down the road to hell than the USA.
Whilst VDH recognises that Trump or leaders like him might be able to defeat Wokism , Peterson is a little unsure about backing Trump. Like so many others , eg Douglas Murray , he sees the damage that Wokism is doing but he shies away from a Trumpian war on woke because he fears that it might lead to full blown fascism.
Personally I think that all Trump was trying to do was give people back their democratic rights and the power of their vote. If someone isn’t able to do that soon it will be too late . The clock might already be past midnight.

I had reason to talk to HMRC a couple of years ago and during that conversation I was quite amazed to hear the representative quote, within a few pounds, how much interest I had earned on my banks interest bearing current account. Then not surprised when she quoted the balance of a savings account elsewhere. They rely on your ‘test of honesty’ when you submit a return. … the public sector workforce size has been growing as fast since 2018 as it did under New Labour and Stalinist Brown. I haven’t noticed much of an improvement in public service and I’m pretty sure you haven’t either. For all the promises of increased efficiency from technology, we now have 370,000 more people in public service than we did eight years before the iPhone was released. Does anyone have a clue what they’re doing, let alone what value they are adding?
…
If Hunt needs to cut spending he should start with a recruitment freeze (which costs nothing) and then take a hard and prejudiced look a what value those extra 370,000 deliver. If their employment cost is £50K each that’s £19billion of cuts right there, which is about what he’s looking for in his corporation tax rise.

Never Again Is Now Global — The Film: Holocaust survivors & children of survivors express their shock at today’s fear-mongering and divisive dictates that are reminiscent of the prelude to the Holocaust. Today a German court is seeking to forcefully vaccinate an 85-year-old Jewish composer and Holocaust survivor, Inna Zhvenetskaya. The order, issued last month, would authorise medical support staff to remove her from her home, calling on police force if needed, and transport her to a psychiatric institution where she would be held until December 2024, so that she may be administered two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine against her consent. Vera Sharav, Holocaust survivor, says that the forced medical order represents a ‘sliding backwards’ into an abominable past. The court’s description of Zhvenetskaya as ‘a danger to self plus others’ is reminiscent of the Nazi era in which the same terminology was used as an excuse for mass psychiatric incarceration to rid society of the ‘economic burden’ of the elderly population.

It's far beyond sad and painful to see @BBCArabic radio shutting down today, after nearly 85 years on air! It's incredibly difficult to describe how we feel!
The key point about this story is that some gutter-level scum from Palestine have very clearly trained and conditioned a 13 year old boy then sent him out to kill as many as possible before he got killed himself.
It’s as low as you can get. Just imagine what the BBC would write if Putin did it. Yet they’ve buried the whole story because it doesn’t fit their agenda. They don’t care one bit what those Muslim scum did with that boy.
And in the article they write: ‘… adding that the “terrorist” is being treated in hospital.’
Why add your own double-quotes to a quotation of someone else BBC ?. Only reason I can think of is that you don’t think he is really a terrorist.
I despise the ethics of the BBC in the same way as I despise the ethics of the Nazi leadership. They believe whatever they do, however low they sink to do it, the end result to achieve their perfect ideological society justifies it all.
A maternity nurse is accused of planning a terrorist attack using a home-made bomb. Quite a big story, one might have thought, not least because of the striking contrast between a nurse and a terrorist.
How strange, then, that the story doesn’t appear on the Home page of the BBC webshite. Nor under UK, nor England. You have to drill down past Regions to Leeds and West Yorkshire to find a small thumbnail of the story.
The suspect’s name? Mohammad Farooq.
Oh, I see.
Now, imagine one of those mythical white supremacists had been planning a bomb attack on a mosque: I wonder how many column inches the story would have got on the Home page, not to mention topping the news, on the hour, every hour; and a full investigation into all the suspect’s contacts, and every Google search he’d ever done, or site he’d visited.
I wonder how many mature people in the history of the world – when faced with a serious problem – have sought out the advice of an 18 year old about what to do.
TOADY Watch #1 – more of ‘the-cost-of-living-crisis’ that isn’t a crisis. Sunny Jim Callaghan was right!
TOADY featured a couple who were obviously affluent enough to stop and had stopped working. Then they interviewed a female GP, no trace of irony there. It is said that female GPs either working part-time or retiring early and living off the income of their Practices, is one reason why it is impossible to see a NHS GP these days.
This GP, a Dr Ford, explained that people were coming to see her and insisting that they were given ‘a sick note’ because of Covid-19 or because they were looking after someone who was sick with PVF. They were then living on Benefits thanks to the UK Taxpayers. I note that there was no protest that the Benefits were too mean or stingy, which is what I normally hear courtesy of the BBC.
Jeremy Hunt was interviewed on Friday about the rumour that HS2 wouldn’t in fact extend to Euston.
In the interview he maintained there was no way it wouldn’t. However during the course of the interview he seemed very amused, smirking to the extent that I thought he might burst out laughing. Very strange. Is he on something?
He’s only where he is because of the power of the BBC who can now remove elected politicians by applying immense pressure with day-after-day relentless negative headlines.
That one thing alone is enough to justify why the BBC cannot be allowed to continue as they are at the taxpayers teat. But never forget OFCOM who have absolutely failed in their duty.

“Israel has occupied East Jerusalem since the 1967 Middle East war and considers the entire city its capital, though this is not recognised by the vast majority of the international community.

But it is.

British Army serviceman charged with terror offence
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-64435207
Here it is.
There he is look : on the left hand side.

thats the real news

G, the second photo is from somewhere else.

However not much PR

It did not take long did it ? for the peddlers of hate and division to come out from under their stone, its whitees fault after all:
“CNN’s Van Jones says Tyre Nichols’ death might have been ‘driven by racism’ despite Black cops being charged”
Or, more accurately, for those who make a living out of peddling their own racism and hate, and stoking up race hate for their own twisted ends:
“Van Jones, CEO of Reform Alliance, a newly formed organization to reform the U.S. criminal justice system”.

‘Brexit is a disaster isn’t it ?”
People regret brexit don’t they ?
They didn’t know what they were voting for did they ?

Hopefully as putin sends tanks into the Reich the EU will be ‘reshaped ‘….

Preferred explanation here – this is flat out misconduct in public office.
Tax avoidance is legitimate and legal – Tax evasion is the opposite.

If it doesn’t tally with what they already know beforehand you become a dishonest tax suspect. CBDC’s? I say roll on the time when they need to know how many sheets of paper I use on the toilet.

Jerusalem shooting: Thirteen-year-old Palestinian held over second attack in days
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-64438905
Anyone see this on the front page ?.
Nope ?. me neither.

Obviously they are far too generous.

In the interview he maintained there was no way it wouldn’t. However during the course of the interview he seemed very amused, smirking to the extent that I thought he might burst out laughing. Very strange. Is he on something?
Anyone have an online video of it?

I’ve said many times : Hunt looks like he’s an alien in a fake skin. As does Sopes. I don’t trust either of them one inch.

JohnC, I’d be happier if Hunt was going toe to toe with the Junior Doctors again.

Britain isn’t. The BBC is.
The BBC no longer represent the people who are forced to fund them.

Then, I read the comments.
And laughed.

I see Mahyar Tousi has a new video about charity Care4Calais
the boss had an affair with an illegal
He and other commentators seem to be confused saying this is NEW news
Actually it’s very old news reported in 2017
Metro : Saturday 1 Jul 2017
“Refugee who had affair with Calais Jungle charity boss ‘tried to burn down HQ in revenge’ ”
https://metro.co.uk/2017/07/01/refugee-who-had-affair-with-calais-jungle-charity-boss-tried-to-burn-down-hq-in-revenge-6748888/
The new news should be that after almost 1,5 years the Charity Commission investigation
that started in 5 August 2021 should be about to release its report

Following the Palestinian attacks on a synagogue in Jerusalem on Holocaust day, and the 13 year old boy responsible for today’s shooting.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-64438905
The following quotes appear in the report.
“Palestinian militant groups praised the attack, but did not say one of their members was responsible.“
“ Since the start of January, 30 Palestinians – both militants and civilians – have been killed in the West Bank“
“Israel has occupied East Jerusalem since the 1967 Middle East war and considers the entire city its capital, though this is not recognised by the vast majority of the international community.
Palestinians claim East Jerusalem as the future capital of a hoped-for independent state.“
Obviously just for balance, and not at all biased…
