Her story was initially corroborated by Amnesty International, a British-based global NGO, which published several independent reports about the supposed killings[3] and testimony from evacuees. Following the liberation of Kuwait, reporters were given access to the country. An ABC report found that “patients, including premature babies, did die, when many of Kuwait’s nurses and doctors … fled” but Iraqi troops “almost certainly had not stolen hospital incubators and left hundreds of Kuwaiti babies to die.”[4] Amnesty International USA reacted by issuing a correction, with executive director John Healey subsequently accusing the Bush administration of “opportunistic manipulation of the international human rights movement”.[5]

I see the Jan 6th video has already been posted, but I did laugh at the BBC’s reaction to the Q-Anon Shaman. They quote the Capitol Police Chief who said the officers “did their best to use de-escalation tactics to try to talk rioters into getting each other to leave the building” — and rubbish the outrageous Fox News’ suggestion that the police were acting as ‘tour guides’ (which is a fair description of how it looks on the video).

Article is by Mike Wendling, Marianna’s big brother. It’s not going so well for the Fact Chucking team this week.

Erm, about this Lineker business. On the previous page StewGreen posted a picture of one of his tweeted replies where he said “We take far fewer refugees than other major European countries.”
    Is this actually true though?
On one of the Ten O’clock News last night (I can’t remember if it was BBC or ITV, they’re both much the same) they put up a chart showing UK half way down the list of. . . “Asylum Applications.” Those who have had their application refused could go on to apply in other countries.
Is there a bit of fast and loose going on here?

Who cares how many ? Just don’t take any more and deport as many as possible .

The world at one had comrade Alf dubs – one of those disciples of comrade Corbyn on to attack attempts to stop the invasion . Dubs came to Uk in 1939 from – I think – Germany – so the comparison of the blue labours with nazi germany wasn’t ‘ appropriate ‘.

There was no rebuttal . One for OFCOM lol .

Then they had that John Humphreys to say that linaker has gone too far …. But whatever – linaker will keep his job – or maybe be replaced by that queer coloured girl ….

            Fedup2,
I wouldn’t like to guess the true value of a cosseted celeb like Lineker.
I’ve seen the interviews he supposedly does on MOTD. They look like they were recorded post-match by somebody else and Lineker seems to recite the questions from a script, syncing to the video. There’s an industry name for this process but I’m afraid I can’t remember it.
It also seems he was sued by Aussie footballer Harry Kewell in 2005 for remarks made in a Telegraph column. The jury failed to reach a verdict – one of the stumbling blocks appears to have been that the column was ghost written. . .
Would the real Gary Lineker please stand up?

      Damn lies and statistics
      Their first quote is this
“The UK has fewer asylum *applications* per 1,000 people than most other European countries, receiving 8.4 per 10,000 people in 2021. That compares to Cyprus (152.6), Austria (43.3), Greece (26.6), Germany (22.9), France (17.8), Spain (13.8), and Italy (9).”

Is there anything strange there ?
#1 Italy compares to the UK
#2 It’s a tally of APPLICATIONS not true bums on seat per year
eg Mr X might put multiple applications in in multiple countries as he travels across Europe ..staying in each country a few weeks and then coming to live in the UK for 50 years
That’s like measuring disease impacts in raw lives lost and counting a 90 years death as the same as a 20yo death
.. The impact is nowhere near the same and Life Years Lost is a Much better metric.

#3 The UK public make a difference between genuine migrants and Economic illegal ones . Such stats fail to make that difference.

#4 Sure a Polish town might take 1000 Ukrainians for 2 years
but that is not the same as UK taking 1000 illegals who will never go home
indeed the UK is doing more good if it uses £1bn/year of taxpayers money to support genuine refugees who stay in Poland and Turkey
than if it uses that £1bn INSIDE the cold expensive UK where the same money would rupport far fewer people.

Claim “We take far fewer refugees than other major European countries”
using a count of *applications* to back that claim is wrong
cos other countries accept application ACCEPTANCE rate is lower than the UK
UK accepted 64% of Refugee applications compared to only 29% and 25% for Spain & France, meaning that the UK took in the 2nd highest number (when accounting for total number accepted) i

Andy, its not only those following on, but this lot that are here already, will marry someone in their culture who was born here or a white girl – thus creating a ‘family’ and then it will be impossible to get rid of them, not least that the current 160,000 already arrived could create the population of a good size town.

I saw Ali being interviewed in Calais who was desperate to join his wife and son – he hadn’t seen her for 10 years, and she had cancer. Lot of questions here.

Which is more than can be said for the usually suspect combo of opposite pols, media and activists.

      Borders exist for a reason.

Treaties exist for reasons, if usually honoured in the breaking.

Yes, genuine refugees are a global responsibility on a properly shared basis.

Importing third world problem makers because they are fed up dealing with what they helped created, no.

      Thanks for that Dickie.

While watching it, it struck me just how rare it is these days to listen to intelligent people who know what is going on and can talk about it with complete common sense.

It was obvious Biden approved the Nord stream bombing the moment it happened. No other Western country would do it unilaterally and the very notion that Russia would do it does not stand up to any scrutiny at all. That’s not the problem I have with it now.

It’s the aftermath of the complete lies, the cover-ups and the extremely string innuendo that Russia did it by the likes of the BBC which have made me mistrust every single thing they write now.

But even worse than that, my own government actually said ‘Russia probably did it’. If ever any statement deserved ‘Without providing evidence, the UK government said Russia probably did it’, that was it.

It means I no longer trust anything my own government say or anything I read in our media. I find that a shocking and extremely worrying situation to be in. And I’m sure many Germans felt the same in the 30’s.

The most sinister part of it all is how they did it just before Winter. They wanted Europeans to suffer and people to die and blame it on Russia to make them support the war. Unluckily for Joe, it was a mild winter.

While many African traditions and cultures are under threat from modern life, there is one which is holding its own – voodoo. It has suffered from a bad press internationally but is an official religion in the West African country of Benin. … The Regional High Priest (special person, no complaints allowed, special privilege) of Voodoo Daagbo Hounon is presiding over the day’s rituals. … With the government supporting it at home and the descendants of slaves embracing it abroad (Government backing suggests it will not survive on it’s own merits?), the ancient voodoo tradition has found a place in the modern world, where other African belief systems are often struggling for relevance.

      – Let me comment on this for the BBC, anything that gives a supernatural power over the rational is evil. It will mean that the Priest has a power that no one else can counter or complain about.

Cast your mind back into the BBC past, 12 years ago, and how the BBC used to report things …

      Is witchcraft alive in Africa? {bbc.co.uk jul2005}
Does witchcraft have a place in modern society? BBC Africa Live wants to know if it is relevant to you.
In Africa, witchcraft has played a role in rebellions, fighting wars, gaining independence and is often seen at election time.

Some people also consult witchdoctors to cure diseases or find a husband.

However, the practise has negative sides – mutilated bodies are often found in Africa, with their organs removed presumably for use in magic charms. And recently in the UK, three people were jailed over the torture of an eight-year-old Angolan girl they accused of being a possessed witch.

      Comment by Kingsley Obika, Nigeria
Two days ago in my neighbourhood. A girl of five was accused of killing her mother through witchcraft. She was tortured (tied upside down a tree) for hours to confess. What surprised me is the fact this girl had not heard of the word witchcraft and here she was being asked to make a so-called confession. In my opinion, those behind this child abuse should be brought to face the wrath of the law.

Comment by Guy, Johannesburg, South Africa
Is witchcraft alive in Africa begs for the answer: Is the Pope a Catholic? We are mourning the death of our four-year-old’s beloved pre-school teacher who suddenly died, apparently after taking some ‘muti’ (medication) dispensed to her by some ‘visitors’ from her rural home.

Comment by Ahmed Kateregga Musaazi, Uganda
l don’t believe in witchcraft but I know that it exists. My religion, Islam, like Christianity, regards witchcraft as satanic. Witchcraft has partly survived in Africa due to the failure of Islam and Christianity to liberate their followers from poverty, ignorance and disease.
The solution is for the two beliefs to recognise African customs which are not in contradiction with Islam and Christianity and to strengthen the penal code to deal harshly with witchcraft.

      Comment by Danni, South Africa
Each person is entitled to their own religion, belief or culture, but when that same thinking such as witchcraft in South Africa, encourages people to rape three-month-old babies to ‘cure’ them of HIV, people should rethink their views.

      – I have intentionally ignored any positive comments supporting Witchcraft, I learnt that from the £3.5bn BBC News Machine and how Gary ‘£1.75m’ Lineker ignores talking to someone who voted Brexit within the BBC or outside the BBC.

Around 98% of the dogs which attack and maim or kill people are owned by people living in social housing. There is a simple solution, to ban certain breeds and sizes / weights from being kept as a condition of tennancy, but the cowardice of the Tory party means it will never happen, and Labour quite like White kids being the victims so they aren’t going to change it.

Dogs Vs cyclists isn’t great either!
In the 90s there was a gypsy camp on my route to work, so I used to get chased by their dogs twice a day. Worst in the winter when you couldn’t see the buggers in the dark. The Cyclist’s Touring Club advice to say “Go home!” in a firm voice doesn’t work on pikey dogs.
Fortunately, it all came to an end when the police cleared the site (they’d bought the farm land but didn’t have the necessary permissions). The Old Bill still earned their money then!

WARNING! The pale, male and stale racists of the shires (i.e. people like me) are in for another “bloody good hiding” {hat tip to the late Bernie Grant MP) from the BBC. How so, I hear you ask?

Well, in The Archers on R4, there has been a storyline about freshening up the guided tours at Lower Loxley, an old manor and home of the Pargetter family, into which Lizzie married years ago. Her son Freddie (who once spent time in jail for drug-dealing) was doing a trial tour and one of the “guineapigs” was a mixed race girl called Noluthando, daughter of the New Age Kate Madikane (nee Aldridge) and her now divorced Black husband Lucas from South Africa. Nolly was there for grandmother Jennifer’s funeral last week.

Nolly is, I think, studying history in S.A. Freddie gave a good, amusing tour of the old family home, which was built in 1702. He noticed that Nolly was using her smartphone at a certain point. I suspect that the more keenly attuned among you can begin to guess where I, and the script-writers of The Archers, are going with this.

The episode ended with Noluthando praising Freddie’s tour-guiding … but stating, ominously, that he had “left something out” in discussion of a portrait hanging on a wall somewhere. Like Gary Kasparov, my mind jumped several moves ahead for both sides, picturing where the metaphorical pieces would land. I think it’s forced mate in 12 moves for the Lefty BBC.

My calculations: the man in the old painting will have owned slaves, as might be expected for the early 1700s. So Lower Loxley will, at least in part, have been built from the income from slaves. This was what Freddie left out.

Here, even less experienced players of the R4 game will begin to see the plan of attack. Noluthando, who has Black privilege by being of mixed race, will be able to attack the owners of Lower Loxley for not acknowledging the role of slavery in the accumulation of wealth there and in big bad racist Britain more generally. Cue more self-flagellation from the anti-White racist Leftists who dominate Radio 4. There has been plenty of it recently, on the arts show Front Row for example.

My calculations may not be exact but I can see the general plan and forced play that follows. Checkmate, Whitey!

Oh the double standards and the hypocrisy.

Nearly a week and a half ago, threats flew from Washington to Buenos Aires. A Chinese fighter factory in Argentina is a very bad idea, said US Representative Maria Elvira Salazar. According to Salazar, Buenos Aires intends to install a JF-17 factory. She described these intentions as a “deal with the devil”.
Salazar claimed that the deal was already a fact and pointed out which Argentine senior politicians had concluded it.

According to her, these are President Alberto Fernández and Vice President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner [CFK]. The congresswoman from Florida continued the sharp threatening tone, stating that if Argentina installs an FJ-17 fighter jet factory “the consequences will be biblical.” Salazar said Washington will not allow this and will not stand idly by.

Washington won’t allow weapons factories for potential enemy states even on the same land mass, but cannot understand why a country like Russia would feel the same way when one is installed close to their border

Our legal profession is a mess. Just watched one of the cops and robbers episodes where a bunch of tow rags smashed their car through a shop door and tried to escape with thousands of pounds worth of stock. The police chased and caught them through ANPR and arrested them for “shoplifting” in other words the same offence a 14 year old lad would get for pocketing a milky bar while walking round the shop.

There is no comparison and these gutter twats should be facing the full force of the law for breaking and entering, and burglary with a suitable very, very long custodial sentence.

In my opinion, the use of a car to smash to door in amounts to armed robbery.

The lawyers are turning this country into a basket case with this total stupidity.

The arrest relates to footage taken from inside a police cordon on 19 February.”

    Hypocrisy of the biased bbc:

“In the autumn of 2021, I became embroiled in a deeply distressing situation: facing a grotesque and, it seemed, unending stream of targeted abuse on social media, including racist slurs and death threats.

My crime? I had dared to speak out on a TV talk show in support of then Home Secretary Priti Patel’s commitment to turning back migrants who were arriving on our shores in their tens of thousands every year.

It is a position shared by millions across the country, of course – but one the Left often regard with haughty disdain. Inevitably, one of their most self-promoting halo-polishers was quick to condemn my views in the most personal terms.

Together with an edited video clip of my comments, Gary Lineker tweeted to his army of fanatical followers (standing at more than eight million today) accusing me of an ‘extraordinary lack of empathy for our fellow human beings’.

He ended with a simple slur: ‘Vile.’

This felt to me like bullying – and inevitably resulted in an onslaught from his screeching fans, which still shocks me to this day.

I wrote to Lineker’s boss, BBC head of sport Philip Bernie, as well as the BBC’s overall chief Tim Davie to complain. Their responses were little short of a fob-off. Formal complaints to the BBC’s in-house department were treated in a similarly dismissive fashion.

Bernie claimed Lineker had merely given his ‘personal response’ to my views. ‘There was no intention of provoking any abuse,’ he added.

Rubbish. Lineker is an obsessive social media performer: I cannot believe that he would not have predicted precisely what happened. And it’s telling that he didn’t take the post down.

There was further hypocrisy at play, too.

As a freelancer, rather than a member of the BBC’s staff, Lineker was not a full-time employee when he unleashed his partisan attack on me. Yet nor was I when, three years earlier, I had been severely reprimanded by the BBC after making a series of comments on talk shows while I was also contracted to present some of the Beeb’s religious and mental health programming.

For example, during an interview with Jeremy Vine on his Channel 5 show, I’d suggested that paedophiles should be given the death penalty. It was a strong statement, yes, and – as the BBC made clear to me in extremely frank terms – it had broken their impartiality rules.

As a result, I was eventually stripped of two of the six programmes I hosted for Auntie. I can’t say I wasn’t cross, but I accepted it. The BBC was within its rights.

But why, when Lineker treated me with such partisan thoughtlessness, did the same not apply to him?”

Well well well. It seems there are some hearings in congress over the bloobath caused directly by Joe Biden overriding the military for his own politcial gain.

I didn’t even know they were holding any !. You kept that quiet BBC.

I read it for one reason : to see if they attribute it directly to Joe or not. Because they 100% would have for Trump.

This is the nearest we get:

Meaning Biden BBC. And you know it.

Then to my astonishment I see this:
‘Mr Biden had previously said that he bore “responsibility for fundamentally all that has happened”, but he also blamed former President Donald Trump for overseeing the withdrawal deal with the Taliban.’

What a complete f*cking joke you are BBC. It had nothing whatsoever to do with the deal, it was how it was executed. And you do not mention once that it was DIRECTLY Biden’s fault.

    BBC News bias techniques

When the BBC has to report a ‘big story ‘ but doesn’t want to – it drops it in about 4 out of 6 in the order and generalises the content – meaning it doesn’t mention the person responsible – if it’s a bad news story – and quickly moves on .

This is the case with the US inquiry into the withdrawal of the US from Afgee . The nearest the BBC says is there are claims of ‘mismanagement / lack of leadership .

Biden / Obama doesn’t get a mention – then onward to some other welfare ‘give me ‘ story .

The big ‘give me ‘ stories to day are child care cash – give me – mental health emergencies – give me – and housing benefit – give me –
Do these ‘give me’ stories have anything in common ?
