It seems HS2 is to become HS1.1 . Construction is to be reduced with the first bit of the line operational by 2050 and the whole project done by 2121 …. By then we ll be prevented from leaving out controlled zone for more than 15 minutes to enhance air quality as well as community safety . All will be well ….

From the BBC News website (Europe section):

“Several killed in shooting in Germany church in Hamburg

Several people are reported to have been killed in a shooting in Hamburg, Germany.

Police said in a tweet that a large-scale operation was under way in the city’s northern Alsterdorf area.

Ambulances are at the scene and German police are searching for the attackers, local media report.

According to Hamburg police, the shooting took place at a church on Deelböge street in the Gros Borstel district.

Local media identified the location as a Jehovah’s Witness centre.

In a statement on Twitter police said “there is no reliable information on the motive for the crime” and they appealed to the public not to share assumptions or to spread rumours.

      Here’s the article:
Several killed in shooting in Germany church in Hamburg
      https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-64910415

The briefest, basic-facts-only of reports by the BBC.

      Elsewhere I see things like:

“So far, there is no reliable information on the motive of the crime,” the police spokesman said. “We ask that you do not share unwarranted assumptions and/or spread rumours.”

‘Bild newspaper said seven people had died and at least eight had been seriously injured in the shooting’

‘Local residents were told to stay indoors and only to use their phones “in extreme emergency” so as not to overburden the network.’

We’ve seen this kind of information omission many times by the BBC and it’s almost always because they are covering up Muslim terrorist murderers.

When it’s ‘Far-Right’, it’s in the main headline within hours and more often than not it’s just because the massive surveillance they are under caught them downloading something in a bedroom. This kind of indiscriminate slaughter is usually just after a vocal advertisement for Alans Snackbar.

If this turns out to be Muslims again, shame on you BBC. You protect these people so some of this blood is on your hands. But of course I know by now that the Left don’t care how many people get murdered. They only matter when they can be used for the agenda.

And when they do eventually cover it (and only because they have to), I guarantee the words ‘Muslim’ and ‘terrorist’ will not be in the report.

Seems that the shooter was found ‘upstairs’ so I presume he shot himself.

In which case it’s not a Muslim : they WANT to be killed while they are murdering as many infidels as possible. Because that’s the only way they get the 72 virgins in Paradise.

They actually believe that. But of course the BBC hypocrites or the mysogynist feminists never, ever go near that one. It might offend them and that would be racist.

They admitted point blank that they lied about history in Dr Who by placing ethnics where they never were – but they considered it was acceptable because it might help change society to be the way their agenda wants it.

Once they got away with that, they have started doing it for everything. Even ‘Father Brown’s sidekick in the 50’s is a black woman now.

And the next stage is that they are rewriting actual history by changing classic works of white males.

It’s unethical and it’s the sort of social engineering history has taught us to expect from ideologically driven fascists. It’s completely unacceptable and it’s double-standards on a monumental scale.

Of course the blame lies with OFCOM for allowing it. The BBC should be getting their wings clipped every time they do it.

True. But some of them did try.

Until the BBC got to work on them that is with their new relentless day-after-day attack strategy where they ration it to one bullet per day – and repeat the entire back story underneath. And now they have all been removed.

That in itself should have set some serious alarm bells ringing at OFCOM – but as the Left have infested all the organisations who should do something about it, it has gone completely unchallenged.

Don’t tell me, I know, it’s all about getting rid of the Tory Government.

In my opinion, the best way to deter these chancers is to remove the incentive, so no more nice hotels, paid for by you and I, no more credit cards with pocket public money loaded onto them taken from your taxes.

“Danish police hunt yacht which may have carried explosives used to blow up Nord Stream – after bombshell report claimed pro-Ukraine commando unit carried out attack on Russian gas pipelines.

Research by the broadcasters ARD and SWR, Contrast magazine, and Die Zeit newspaper concluded that five men and a woman rented a yacht in Rostock, Germany, on September 6, 2022, which they used to destroy the gas pipelines on September 26.

The yacht was reportedly hired from a company registered in Poland that was owned by two Ukrainian citizens, Die Zeit reported.

The Times reported today that Western intelligence had known for months the name of an alleged Ukrainian sponsor who is supposed to have financed the sabotage of the pipelines.

The publication wrote that an unnamed Ukrainian without state affiliation sponsored the attack.

The Times said that NATO officials hid the names of those involved to save Ukraine from a public row with Germany. ”

Once again, those Jehovah’s Witnesses are murdering each other.
It’s high time Prevent banned them, along with other Far-Right organisations like The Women’s Institute.

But at least it’s heartening to read that the German authorities have got their priorities right: “Police have appealed to the public not to share assumptions or to spread rumours.”

He shot at the believers through the windows
.. …The perpetrator initially attacked from the outside

that speculation seems likely to me.
JW has history of an elder sexually abusing someone, and then when the victim speaks up the elder uses their power to exclude them, and gets everyone & their family to shun them

    Small beer edition

We do enjoy the odd awkward juxtaposition of headlines which show up the contradictions and hypocrisies of the modern left-liberal mindset.

Today we have to flit between Telegraph and Guardian for our wry smile but the game is a goodun.

The mildly conservative Telegraph may fight the culture war with one arm tied behind its back but its heart is in the general proximity of the right place: Ofsted chief warning over explicit sex lessons… Alam at current guidance which places ‘no limits’ on what can be taught to children – a clear caution there to teachers to put a brake on drag queen story hours and Pride parade-style let it all hang out teaching that’s become all the rage lately.

Meanwhile, over at the Guardian: Grieving mother in plea over ‘low level’ sex crimes… Weeks before Libby Squire was raped, murdered and dumped in a river, a stranger exposed himself to her… Her mother… said… “But I never thought to say to her: You need to report that… we’re amost conditioned to ignore indecent exposure” – Really? How’s that then? Who’s doing that conditioning?

Much of the left-leaning press is fretting about us having to wait longer for a railway we don’t really want, don’t need and can’t afford.

The left-leaning ‘i’ newspaper gets a bit edgy: England will turn ‘brown and unpleasant’ – No, that’s not a poke at Rishi and Braverman and their ‘small boat‘ policy.

Speaking of which – does this mean illegal immigrants will hire ‘big boats‘ to get around the new legislation? Is that the built-in legal loop hole? What’s the precise displacement rule for a ‘small boat‘?

Hey Abdul, did you see the new British migrant law talks about banning ‘small boats’?

Don’t worry, Mohammad, haven’t you seen the movie Jaws? That line when Chief Brody sees the shark? Simples. “We’re gonna need a bigger boat” – but I digress.

That was in fact the ‘i’ newspaper’s Environment feature: England will turn ‘brown and unpleasant’ if 14 new reservoirs are not built – that’ll allow more drinking water for population expansion and give us all somewhere we can sail our ‘small boats

But look at this line from the article – all on it’s own to make it stand out:

‘Jehovah’s Witnesses are members of a Christian-based religious movement.’

What relevance has that to the shooting ?. It’s pathetic schoolboy stuff in the extreme. It’s there for one single reason : to tell people it wasn’t Muslims.

And so it begins. I urge everyone to watch at least the first half of this video as the banks begin to show signs of distress and investors pull their capital out.

JP Morgan lost over 5% of its share value yesterday Wells Fargo and Bank of America over 6%. Headline news in the FT is “Investors dump US bank shares amid fears over value of bond portfolios”.

Once these banks begin to go it will happen very fast, for those who don’t know this will mean you will lose all your money in the bank as they desperately try to restructure. This has happened before in Cyprus the banks put a limit on the number of withdrawals per month and a cap on the amount as well. The law has changed and you as a bank depositor will find your money used to prop up the bank.

Is the article news or is it PR ?
As ever the article is really based on PR from an org : Veryan Khan, of Trac (a woman cos it later calls her Ms)
then BBC look for an actual news event and put that at the top

The article begins with one guy in Baltimore who apparently hatched a plot with a woman
      It makes a general statement
“Attacks against infrastructure are a long-standing obsession of far-right and white nationalist groups, and they are increasingly being discussed in extremist spaces online.”

      Then it quotes
Veryan Khan, president and CEO of the Terrorism Research & Analysis Consortium (Trac)
.. That job title makes it seem like a ONE WOMAN org.

Does it give any more examples ?
“The North Carolina attack, in Moore County in early December, knocked out power to 35,000 people for several days.”
The article gives no evidence about who did it

It lists 2 more “Oregon and Washington state.”
Are they really far right ?
It says “the motive for most of the other attacks is unknown.”

It goes back to Baltimore case
#1 The man an woman criminals met in jail
How ? surely jails are single sex

#2 ” a person who they thought was a potential co-conspirator was actually an FBI source.”
Hmm in recent cases the Feds informers often seem to be Feds INSTIGATING stuff

It goes back to claim 2 more plots
Ohio “In 2020, five men, including three former US Marines, were indicted on weapons and conspiracy charges.
Authorities said they had plotted to attack the power grid during a meeting in Ohio.”
They don’t substantiate that this is FR

?? “The following year, three white nationalists pleaded guilty to plotting to attack power installations.”
It doesnt say who and where

Then it says Khan calls it “accelerationism”
An idea that you break today’s society in order to start a RESET
She said “It’s not exclusive to far-right groups, and does not necessarily involve violence, but it is used with particular motivational effect in white supremacist circle”

Then it quotes someone else “Bennett Clifford, of the Program on Extremism at George Washington University”
” tallied 11 cases of white nationalists arrested and charged in federal court with planning attacks on the energy sector after 2020.”
The obvious is that people can be charged YEARS after events so the relevant thing is the year when the crime happened
Secondly cases should only count when people have been CONVICTED cos arrests can be spurious.

Then it goes on to say there has been rising “chatter”
“Last summer a loosely organised white nationalist, eco-fascist group called Terrorgram issued a document called The Hard Reset. The BBC has obtained a copy.”
…. That seems code for “Ms Khan gave us a copy”
Secondly it’s strange a “HARD right” group wants to accelerate WEF policy

The article ends by stating a big number “170 attacks” and then back to Earth by saying that include all kind of petty vandalism etc.

Then says Deliberate attacks against the power grid are just one threat the authorities are focused on along with the possibility of cyber-attacks, natural disasters and *climate change*”

FFS if it’s part of a big list it’s NOT a focus !

The latest publication of MPs register of interests is out and Guido has the highlights. David Davis is the latest to add to Guido’s long list of MPs enjoying expenses-paid skiing trips. He jetted off to Austria for 8 days in February, in a trip worth £9,521 – funded by private donor Ian Hannam.

Britain’s former PMs have also been enjoying the perks of their status. Liz Truss cashed in £7,500 from Billionaire donor Johan Eliasch, Boris spent yet more time in the properties of the Bamfords and Theresa May took a £22,000 trip to Bahrain – part funded by their government. Liz also took her 15 minutes of fame further, as she lived it up with showbiz luvvies with a ticket to the BRIT awards, worth £1,300.

Andrew Bridgen has also received donations to the value of £7,900 from Reclaim the Media Ltd, trading under the Bad Law Project. The legal advocacy group, funded by Reclaim Party backer Sir Jeremy Hosking and with strong links to the party, is supporting Bridgen in libel action against Matt Hancock. It has also provided him meals, speech writing, counselling and social media consultancy. There had previously been speculation Bridgen might join the party, after they offered him public support…

    Amongst the other new additions:

Labour MPs Rushanara Ali took a £4,700 trip to the UAE at their government’s expense.
Tory MPs raked in cash from GB News – Lee Anderson got £200 a week from November – February, Dehenna Davison got £1,879 and Phillip Davies brought home a stonking £10,000 for 13 episodes in January and February.
Not to be outdone, TalkTV also forked out. With Bim Afolami, Caroline Nokes and Alec Shelbrooke each receiving £300 an episode – for a combined £2,400.
Labour MPs also enjoy lucrative media arrangements of their own. David Lammy bought in £5,200 and Chris Bryant £1,000 from Global and Jess Phillips’ podcast netted her £5,000.
Guido would also like to give lefty MP Liam Byrne an honourable mention. Liam has long opposed the “shocking standards” of private landlords and has called for their regulation. He is now a private landlord.
Co-conspirators can read the register in full here.

Thank you for contacting us about BBC News.

I understand you feel we should cover alleged expenses abused by MPs.

We know that not everyone will agree with our choices on which stories to cover, or the order in which they appear. Our news editors make these complex decisions, based on the editorial merit of all the stories at hand. We accept that not everyone will agree with each decision – various factors are at play and there’s often debate in the newsroom too.

A range of factors affect how we put together our news bulletins. Is it breaking news, or a dated story? Does it follow on from a recent event, or change our understanding of things? Is it unusual, or attracting national interest? We consider these things and also put great importance on verifying events and building up a clear picture – before reporting in a reliable and trustworthy way.

Editorial decisions are more of a judgement call, than an exact science – so you’ll even find variety from one BBC programme to the next. Time constraints, the expected audience profile and the style of each bulletin or current affairs programme can all play a part.

Nevertheless, we appreciate the feedback that our viewers and listeners give us when they feel a story has been overlooked or marginalised.

All complaints are sent to senior management and programme makers every morning and we have included your points in this overnight report. These reports are among the most widely read sources of feedback in the BBC and ensures that your complaint has been seen by the right people quickly.

Thank you again for taking the time to contact us.

Would you eat rat poison ? Not if you`re sane and healthy – but millions of sane people , with the medical establishments blessing , eat rat poison every day .
Rat poison is Warfarin , which helps people with heart problems . It saves their lives .
People such as Donald Trump would theorise something that saves peoples lives . People such as Biden and the BBC would not and so would condemn people to death .

They are mimicking the left wing tactics we are seeing used in the US, screaming “right-wing” terrorists to silence anyone who doesn’t think like themselves and accept their mantra.

Come on Sunak, wake up to what they are, the propaganda arm of the left. Let them do it with their own money, not the cash of people who see right through them and would never wish to fund them if it wasn’t by force.

To people like the BBC, anyone who is not full on left wing is now to be viewed as a potential dangerous right-wing terrorist.

FED – Not sure these 2 situations are really comparable but yes, plenty of support for Lineker especially on SKY who had a succession of ex footballers, Labour and SNP politicians slagging off the beeb for being pro Government – excuse me while I larf. Lineker must have guessed, or was quickly informed, that all his co-presenters were backing him by not appearing. The beeb cannot afford to lose control of one of their flagship Saturday (and Sunday) footie programmes so will eventually cave – expect a statement soon saying they have come to a satisfactory conclusion with Lineker and he will be presenting MOTD tomorrow as usual – main result – Lineker 1 – BBC 0. Business as usual.

STOP PRESS – Just seen that the beeb have agreed with my earlier suggestion of showing the match highlights but without any studio participation – FED – are we allowed to actually praise the beeb on this website?

All this could easily have been avoided if he had gone the humble pie route a la Jeremy Clarkson by apologising if his comments had caused any offence and the beeb would probably have accepted this and the matter would have been closed. The trouble is the self important Lineker believes he is untouchable on his £1.35m of taxpayers money every year.

I have watched Saturday’s MOTD since the mid 60’s but will not be tuning in again should Lineker ever return as host, happy to make do with the Sunday show which has Saturday’s goals anyway. Mark Chapman usually presents on Sunday and would make an admirable replacement for Lineker.

Re your critique of GB News, agree it has many faults and some of the evening panel discussions frequently descend into shouting matches with the obligatory “lefty” as the stooge so one needs to dip in and out during the day to maintain interest but let’s be thankful for small mercies when we compare their overall output to the rest of the media.

Abuse by the prolific sex offender Jimmy Savile on NHS premises has cost the health service £1.1m (€1.2m; $1.4m) in compensation and legal fees, after his estate contributed just over £53 000 towards these claims.
