And, the award goes to……Mike !

No, sorry its Michael, erm hang on the clue’s in the name somewhere.

I had one of those in a band back in the day, he played brilliant keyboards and I genuinely panicked when I tried to remember whether it was Mick or Mike which made it worse

So I just called him Ebenezer in the end, it was less offensive to him for some reason.

I have a surname like a first name and get called by my surname many times, I never pull people up on it upon first meeting or casual acquaintance but will gently point it out over time, if it persists, but if I am unlikely to have much contact will not even bother, whats the bloody point ?

Unless you are a racebaiter of course , then it is part of your arsenal.

Like the nasty african lady I used to work with who called herself Ami but God help you if you ever mispronounced it like most people would do ( ay may) it she would jump on you “Its Ami!!!” ( A me) or (U me) She did it to me upon first meeting and everyone else in a very aggressive fashion.

It’s the age of everyone being offended by something or other, I might jump on the bandwagon having some blonde hair…

It seems perfectly acceptable to tell blonde jokes as if all blonde haired people are stupid, yet some indian asking about someones favourite blonde jokes online became offended when I asked him his favourite black jokes.

“Blonde is not a race!” he ranted, until I pointed out neither is black skin.

        Morning Z,

Take your pick, I’ve been called worse. I was introduced by a colleague to a supplier as “Mick”. He said “Good to meet you Mike”. My colleague corrected him. “It’s Mick, not Mike”. Guy didn’t miss a beat “Good to meet you MicknotMike”. One of my work associates has called me Loretta for years, I’ve no idea why. I could cry and report him and say that its so unfair, but I know humour when I see it, unlike anyone to the left of me (Which in fairness, is most people).

Shameless paramedic filmed stealing £60 from woman, 94, moments after she collapsed and DIED is spared jail for crime that left pensioner’s son ‘sick to the stomach’

    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11950381/Shameless-paramedic-filmed-stealing-60-woman-94-moments-collapsed-DIED.html?ito=native_share_article-nativemenubutton

This is is the moment a shameless paramedic was caught stealing £60 from a 94-year-old’s home – moments after she collapsed and died.

The paramedic was caught on camera rifling through the recently deceased elderly woman’s belongings and pocketing £60 from her home.

The 58-year-old paramedic can be seen casually strolling up towards a side table where the cash was placed, before rummaging through her things and pocketing the money.

When he realised he’d been filmed, Mark Titley quickly put the cash back – but the victim’s son saw what he had done and said it made him ‘sick to his stomach’.

The 58-year-old was one of four medics called to the woman’s home in Shrewsbury on June 29 last year, following reports she had collapsed in the garden.

They worked on her for about 20 minutes before she was pronounced dead at the scene.

Shrewsbury Crown Court was told Titley then entered the property in search of a ‘do not resuscitate’ form.

But he was filmed going through a plastic box full of cash and lifting up the notes to count through them before placing around £60 in his trouser pocket.

The court was told Titley then looked around and spotted the camera before immediately putting it back in the box.

But the woman’s son saw the footage and reported it to West Mercia Police. The court heard he felt ‘disgusted and sick to my stomach’ on reviewing it.

Titley initially denied the allegation, telling police he intended to ‘secure’ the cash and take it out to family members.

However, he later admitted theft and was given an 18-week prison sentence, suspended for 12 months. He was also ordered to carry out 120 hours unpaid work and pay £530 costs and a £187 victim surcharge.

The court heard Titley, of Linley Avenue, Pontesbury, was no longer a serving paramedic, having retired from West Midlands Ambulance Service days after the incident.

The stuffy typical British character Jonathan Quayle Higgins III, the second son of the Duke of Perth, a retired senior British Army officer, and Baron of Perth in his own right, though he rarely uses the title. who went to school at Eton College and Sandhurst Military College.

He was played by an American actor from Texas, John Hillerman.

He learned to speak in the character’s educated middle/upper class English accent, known as Received Pronunciation or the King’s/Queen’s English, by listening to a recording of Laurence Olivier reciting Hamlet.

Have a listen to a Texan playing an upper class Englishman:

After the appallingly one-sided, front-page video the BBC showed us yesterday of innocent Muslim’s being beaten by nasty Jews, I see this article on the BBC:

‘Two British Israeli women killed on the West Bank’.
    https://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-65211160

What was it I wondered. Car accident ?. Mugging ?.

Nope: you have to go into the article to discover:

‘They were in a car that crashed after being shot at near the Hamra Junction, in the north of the Jordan Valley.’

Just shot at ?. So someone shot at the car (pistol ?) and they swerved and crashed then ?. Seems not much detail from the BBC on this : they clearly want me to think it was a car crash which killed them.

    So I checked elsewhere:
‘First responders responded to what at first was believed to be a car accident at Hamra junction in the northern Jordan Valley, Israeli media reported. They found a car riddled with over 20 bullet holes. Troops were searching the area for the attackers.’

At bit more than just ‘shot at’ then.

So it turns out they were properly murdered by Palestinian terrorists. As usual, you have to work to find out these things with the BBC these days.

And this story isn’t even on the front page:
One tourist killed and seven wounded in car ramming attack in Tel Aviv
    https://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-65217134

I had to search for it. It’s another Palestinian terrorist attack.

Both of those articles quickly switch to describing the Israeli strikes as if it justifies them. And in all of them, they mention the Israeli strikes BEFORE they mention the terrorist rocket attacks.

The second article doesn’t use the word terrorist at all. The first only uses it in quotation marks because someone else said it. The BBC NEVER use that word for HAMAS even though the UK recognises them as a terrorist organisation.

No question who the BBC support. They consider these terrorists to be ‘freedom fighters’. I bet they employ a LOT more Muslims than Jews.

I saw this in my searching:

‘UK rabbi ends regular BBC contributions: No Jew ‘who has any pride’ can work there’

Starting with the UK Government as a trusted source of information ?

    “Proscribed terrorist groups or organisations

    What is a proscribed organisation?

Under the Terrorism Act 2000, the Home Secretary may proscribe an organisation if they believe it is concerned in terrorism, and it is proportionate to do. For the purposes of the Act, this means that the organisation:

commits or participates in acts of terrorism
    prepares for terrorism
promotes or encourages terrorism (including the unlawful glorification of terrorism) or is otherwise concerned in terrorism

List of proscribed international terrorist groups

78 terrorist organisations are proscribed under the Terrorism Act 2000”

In alphabetical order, so, Let us jump to the letter H:

    “Harakat al-Muqawamah al-Islamiyyah (Hamas) – Proscription extended November 2021

Hamas is a militant Islamist movement that was established in 1987, following the first Palestinian intifada. Its ideology is related to that of the Muslim Brotherhood combined with Palestinian nationalism. Its main aims are to liberate Palestine from Israeli occupation, the establishment of an Islamic state under Sharia law and the destruction of Israel (although Hamas no longer demands the destruction of Israel in its Covenant). The group operates in Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territories. Hamas formally established Hamas IDQ in 1992. Hamas IDQ was proscribed by the UK in March 2001. At the time it was HM government’s assessment that there was a sufficient distinction between the so called political and military wings of Hamas, such that they should be treated as different organisations, and that only the military wing was concerned in terrorism. The government now assess that the approach of distinguishing between the various parts of Hamas is artificial. Hamas is a complex but single terrorist organisation.

Hamas commits and participates in terrorism. Hamas has used indiscriminate rocket or mortar attacks, and raids against Israeli targets. During the May 2021 conflict, over 4,000 rockets were fired indiscriminately into Israel. Civilians, including 2 Israeli children, were killed as a result. Palestinian militant groups, including Hamas, frequently use incendiary balloons to launch attacks from Gaza into southern Israel. There was a spate of incendiary balloon attacks from Gaza during June and July 2021, causing fires in communities in southern Israel that resulted in serious damage to property.

Hamas also prepares for acts of terrorism. One incident of preparatory activity is that Hamas recently launched summer camps in Gaza which focus on training groups, including minors, to fight. This is evidence of Hamas being responsible for running terrorist training camps in the region. In a press statement, Hamas described the aim of these camps as to “ignite the embers of Jihad in the liberation generation, cultivate Islamic values and prepare the expected victory army to liberate Palestine”.

Is there any “activist” that does not “condemn” something or other ?

    Nope

Disgusting use of language in the above bbc headline posted by John C as it also uses the word “harmful” in quotation marks to suggest.

    What about this:

UK activist condemns the President of the United States’ son’s “use of crack cocaine with prostitutes”

Some allege this is an international security issue, the standard for joining the UK police for example below:

“Police officer recruits are required to go through thorough vetting as part of their application process. As a police officer, you’re working in a position of trust. Police Vetting plays a key role in assessing an individual’s integrity and so has a strong link to public trust and confidence in policing. This includes disclosing the behaviour of your family and friends to ensure that you aren’t vulnerable to extortion or blackmail.
The vetting process also measures you against the College of Policing’s Code of Ethics, which considers a number of other factors. If you’re in doubt about whether you need to disclose something or not, it’s best to include it. Your chosen force can then discuss with you whether it affects your application or not.

You’ll be asked to provide information on:

Yourself (personal information, financial information, police information, criminal history)
Your family (parents, parents partners, siblings, partner(s), children)
    Co-residents
Associations that may cause a conflict of interest with your role or the police service

    Police Vetting also includes:

Background checks across all police information systems on you, your family and other associates

You don’t get more ‘terrorist’ than this – but the BBC don’t use the word once.

‘Hamas did not confirm it had fired the rockets, but leader Ismail Haniyeh, who was visiting Lebanese capital Beirut at the time, said Palestinians would not “sit with their arms crossed” in the face of Israeli aggression.’

“No Prime Minister in modern times has led Britain into as many wars as Tony Blair. In seven years in office he has committed soldiers to action in Kosovo, in Operation Desert Fox against Iraq, in Sierra Leone and Afghanistan — and, most controversially, in the final battle with Saddam Hussein in 2003. It has been a dramatic course of action for a man who, until he won the 1997 General Election, showed only a rudimentary understanding of the workings of foreign policy. Combining page-turning narrative and revelation with an analysis of the philosophy underlying his adventures abroad, BLAIR’S WARS shows how this government has sought to be at the forefront of a new and turbulent world order. Putting the reader into the ‘smoke-filled rooms’ of Whitehall and Washington where the real decision-making takes place, John Kampfner draws on his unparalleled contacts within and outside government to provide a compelling account of the tensions, rivalries, deal-making and back-stabbing that have accompanied inexorable acquisition of foreign-policy control.”

“We saved the NHS, claims Blair
    Sarah Hall
    Mon 30 Apr 2007 14.48 BST

Tony Blair today insisted he had achieved lasting reform in the NHS – but admitted he should have moved faster, and acknowledged the system still faced “real challenges”.

Speaking 10 years after his eve-of-poll claim that there were only 24 hours to save the system, the prime minister predicted that no future government would reverse the reforms made since 1997.

Reviewing his legacy before he steps down after a decade in power, he said: “I personally think the concept of a less, or non-monolithic, system of healthcare, greater competition, greater patient choice, the changes in terms of payment by results, practice-based commissioning, I believe these reforms and that framework will stay in place.

“I can’t see any government turning their back on that. I can’t see that basic framework being changed because ultimately the patients will take these reforms as being right.”

Speaking at a meeting organised by the King’s Fund, an independent health thinktank, Mr Blair appealed for a “sense of balance” when assessing his legacy on the NHS.”

    The Lancet:

“10 years of New Labour health reforms have injected badly needed funds into the UK’s National Health Service. But through repeated restructuring and micromanagement, Blair’s government seems also to have eroded clinicians’ flexibility to care for patients. Hannah Brown reports.
For consultant diabetologist Gordon Caldwell, routine referrals used to be just that—routine. Innumerable letters from general practitioners (GPs) requesting consultations for anxious patients were opened, acknowledged, and filed, and patients were duly assigned to appointments as soon as the schedule would allow. Last year, however, Caldwell’s smooth-running system at Worthing Hospital came to a disquieting end when his local Strategic Health Authority (SHA) made an unusual demand: institute a 2-month delay to all consultations or forfeit funding for them.

Caldwell found himself facing a choice between disregarding his patients’ best interests and working for free. “I couldn’t believe that I was being asked to behave in such an unethical manner”, Caldwell recalls angrily. “A doctor sitting with a worried patient would write a letter to me and if I had an empty appointment 2 weeks away I couldn’t see them because the trust wouldn’t pay for it.””

I Know An Old Lady syndrome edition

Credit where credit is due – among our national press titles it is only our recently left-leaning Times frontpage that hints we may be in the midst of a Christian festival this weekend as it carries a photo of: Pilgrims making the Good Friday journey… to the Holy Island of Lindisfarne…

Nice, but this feature has the smack of rare anthropological observation rather than local culture and observance about it.

Mr AsI can’t honestly count the decidedly secular: How to rescue your Easter garden (‘i’); The suggestive: Easter’s a cracker… and it’s getting baking hot… Sun’s out buns out (Daily Star); Or indeed the nakedly commercial offering from the socialist Daily Mirror: Free Chocolate Orange Maltesers Bunny – what a mash up! One’s mind wanders back to the seasonal stomach contents of one’s 9-year-old-self.

Some claim we live under an oppressive patriarchy – I’m not so sure: Amanda Wakeley You don’t need to be a mother to nurture others (‘i’); Boy trouble Detoxifying masculinity (FT Weekend Magazine) – girl trouble, anyone…?

Mariella Fostrup My daughter keeps taking my clothes! (Times Magazine)

Matt is away (Telegraph) – so our BBC steps into the breach to give us all hereabouts a little chuckle: The talk-show hosts telling Russians what to believe… How Vladimir Putin’s regime uses TV to keep his people backing the war in Ukraine – even when things go wrong

One could simply let that amusing example of brass-necked sanctimonious humbug speak for itself – but at the risk of over-egging the chocolate malteser bunny, so to speak…

Bakhmut: Russian casualties mount but tactics evolve… Officially, Ukraine estimates that for every one of its soldiers killed, Russia loses seven: By Quentin Sommerville, BBC News

Realistically… rather than the BBC’s Ukrainian ‘officially’

Bakhmut Will Fall. Here’s What Russia Will Do Next (Newsweek)

    In domestic news…

Gold-plated public sector pensions to rise twice as much as average wage (Telegraph)

Ah, that’ll be our hard-working selfless State sector. A wonderful – if sickly – admixture (chocolate orange malteser bunny?) of frontline heroes and nudge unit pen pushers busy WFH and pushing up our taxes at every opportunity.

Seems our government has a cunning grand plan – for just about every possible eventuality – apart from the effects of that ongoing hyper-immigration induced population explosion they caused…

Heavier lorries plan ‘means more potholes’… Transport chiefs want to allow 48-ton oil tankers… to take to roads in a fuel crisis (Telegraph) – fuel crisis… who’s causing that? Net Zero, anyone?

This would be a rather fine example of the law of actually rather easily foreseen consequences. Or what Mr AsI likes to refer to as I Know An Old Lady syndrome… an excert will suffice

    There was an old lady who swallowed a cat;
Fancy that to swallow a cat!
She swallowed the cat to catch the bird,
She swallowed the bird to catch the spider,
    She swallowed the spider to catch the fly;
    I don’t know why she swallowed a fly – Perhaps she’ll die!

Speaking of proverbial near-death old ladies let’s digress for a moment for a headline from what Yanks term The Old Gray Lady

Judge Invalidates F.D.A. Approval of the Abortion Pill Mifepristone… The Texas judge’s ruling was quickly contradicted by another federal judge in Washington State who ordered the F.D.A. to keep mifepristone available. (New York Times) – apart from the fact (Revealed – the Guardian’s new favourite word) how American politicians appear to have abdicated all responsibilty for lawmaking to a competing network of gowned (not wigged) legal bench sitters… you’ll also note how abortion is the favoured hill on which the left choose to die upon.

Where were we? Ah, our very own centralised State command economy…

£90bn bill for stores to meet net zero rules… New energy standards will make 91% of retail space… unlettable by 2030 (Telegraph)

Housing targets scrapped – complains the recently left-leaning Times main headline: Fears of ‘nimby’s charter’ as wave of local authorities scrap plans for new homes

    Do you smell something fishy…?

Thanks Brexit! Britain nets £100m boost to fishing (Daily Express)

    On a lighter note…

Once upon a time they used to call it Grub Street but nowadays our oh-so liberal journos do enjoy their top notch grub – seems whatever the newspaper title may be they all tend to feed from a similar trough: ‘Food is forgiving’ Lunch with Yotam Ottolenghi (FT); Ottolenghi Ways with beans (Guardian)

I’ve always enjoyed a good tec’ drama. Miss Marple, Morse, Poirot even an old Columbo, “Just one more thing…”

So, last night, after a hard day at the allotment planting spuds, I settled down with bottle or two of real ale (Old Crafty Hen!) and something I had taped from a week or so ago; Grace. ITVs flagship Sunday evening, two-hour detective story. Will I never learn?

They can’t just give us a good old fashioned mystery these days, everything has to be soused in PC wokery. They ladle in on with a bloody trowel until the story is merely the backdrop for the propaganda.

Anyway, Grace started, the opening credits were rolling as…a well dressed black woman gets into a cab. The cabbie, a working class white bloke can’t take his eyes off her. He’s a real sleaze-ball. He’s desperate to say something to impress this goddess. Eventually he says, “Your lips are the same colour as the sunset.” I mean, FFS…

She’s dropped off at a hotel where another black woman is giving a speech. This woman is the head of the police (yes, of course she is) and is about to move on to pastures new. Probably head hunted by the FBI or NASA.

There are four or five Hooray Henry types in the hotel, drunk, stupid, belligerent, behaving abominably…and of course they’re white, who “hit on” the elegant black woman. She’s having none of it…

All this as the opening credits are still rolling.

I can’t tell you what the actual story was like.

    I switched off…

I love that word ‘genre ‘ ( actually I prefer ‘type’ from the ‘get go ‘ – or ‘start ‘ as people who speak English use . Any way – the police ‘type ‘of TV plod drama ….. and the difference between Real Life . …
The outgoing commissioner of the Met – who is a ‘new approved ‘ broom – despite running the met with Cressida and the tick boxes was on toady earlier this week discussing the couple of hundred plod with records who currently take the tax payers ‘ cash …..
Apparently his outfit selected them but can’t get rid of them ….
…….and then blurred the edges of acceptability – eg cannabis caution at 18 is … maybe … ok ….

Which sort of explains why the Met will never be trusted …. And defence brief in court will ask the plod in the box ‘ do you have any convictions or cautions ‘ … if they have a ‘clean ‘ defendent –
I’ve been pondering on this – and identified the desperation to get more coloured faces in the plod – driven by the frankly dumb Home Office – as the reason for dropping standards and importing third world corruption and practices into a once reasonably clean Police Force . Vetting got dumped-
And ironically the whole crap has been revealed by 2 white sex criminals …..

… it seems also the anti terrorist detectives are going to be redeployed from preventing the next Muslim attack to chase after their own people …..
That ‘hit ‘ BBC cop corruption show – which I always considered more wooden than a money tree – looks truly out of time now …..
The MSM won’t report the underlying reason for the fall of plod – so I will ….

… but at least when morse or Lewis or endeavour gets it’s next ITV4 airing we can all settle into make believe ….

      Couldn’t agree more Jeff.

It’s painfully obvious how the ability of the writers has plumetted in recent years as ability to write a good story has take a back seat to pushing the social agenda.

I used to love things like Father Brown, Endeavour, Grantchester, Vera and even Death In Paradise when the cat from red Dwarf was in it.

But now they are all now completely unwatchable for me – and I have tried my best. Without exception they are full of anti-white, anti-male discrimination for a start – but the stories are just so dull that half-way through I realise I don’t care what happens. The new woke types are clearly just trying to copy the ones which were successful but as they have no wit and cannot understand actual humour, it just doesn’t work.

It sums up how the Left destroy everything good by using them as tools to force their own ideology on everybody else.

Another downside to the woke detectives is that once you see the cast you can easily work out which (of the whites) is the ‘murderer’

It’s always one of the whites.

They usually try to misdirect the guilty person onto one of the enrichers but it’s soon made clear that the enricher is really a super nice human who was being framed by one of the nasty whites.

I used to enjoy Death in Paradise especially with Humphry so I had thought I might watch and possibly enjoy the Beyond Paradise or whatever the BBC call. I have tried to watch 4 episodes and have fallen asleep in all of them They seem so concentrated on whether Humphrey will become a father or whether she cannot remember her name) will go off with her ex. I didn’t care in the Death in’ how many black people were in the cast, it was appropriate and fun. I notice in the new series Humphry’s assistant has a name which suggests she is black but it is not played up and is irrelevant Sadly the new series is just boring.

English Heritage have a charming series of cooking in Victorian times on YouTube. A real escape from the BBC. When Mrs Crocombe starts ‘for this recipe you will need’ I relax into a world of long ago. They are now extending the series into fashion and chose the Georgian times They concentrated on the clothes of an aristocratic lady from the time and based the outfit on a real young woman Dido Belle, daughter of a slave and rescued by an English sea captain and brought back to England They chose a very black model for the video but showing the painting of the woman in question, she was depicted as a pale brown English Heritage dressed their modern model in an apricot dress. It just looked wrong.

      That’s a real shame, Jeff!

Because I was told by our local librarian that Peter James’ novels were all based around Brighton, a town I know well, I tried the books, and got hooked very soon afterwards!

What is strange, is that I didn’t realise that Glenn Branson was black for a long time, as the story was much better than the characters, and James doesn’t make a big thing of any of the colour differences and as far as I read the stories, he could have been green or yellow or white!

So the pullovered beeboids have done their usual caper of mucking up a good story with their ‘waycist’ agenda, and influenced a perfectly good yarn where it was totally unnecessary! I don’t recall the scenario you describe as ever being written in any of the books, so it’s yet another travesty of the truth, which of course, the BBC never get concerned about.

‘Easy Meat.’ Britain’s Muslim Rape Gang Cover-Up
LONDON — Some scandals are so massive that they’re simply hard to believe. As many as one million white English children may have been the victims of Muslim rape gangs, better known as grooming gangs, in towns up and down Great Britain.

Policy analyst George Igler says, “When you encounter an issue that is just so unbelievable, just so outside your frame of reference and understanding, the immediate human reaction is just one to not believe it at all.”

Perhaps even harder to believe is that while there have been prosecutions, the British government has still not stopped this criminal activity.

    Easy Targets

Former Home Secretary and parliament member Jack Straw once said, “There’s a particular problem involving Pakistani heritage men who target young, vulnerable, white English girls.” He also said these Pakistani heritage men view white English girls as “easy meat.”

The left keep saying that more whites are doing this kiddy fiddling than the enrichers.

First of all, we all know that the percentages of population are hugely white but what I never hear mentioned is that the enrichers rarely appear to get investigated and are left to get on with it. The occasional few are charged now and again but generally they are ignored.

If the police actually went after this lot without the fear of being called racist you can bet there would be many hundreds charged as opposed to a token few.

Put simply, they are leaving them alone and this shows up as fewer crimes. If they don’t get investigated they don’t appear in the statistics (if you believe the statistics, I don’t)

  36. Zephir says:

This is when some shout ‘racism,’ but here are the facts: calculations based on convictions show that a British Muslim male is 170 times more likely to be a part of sex grooming gang than a non-Muslim. And there are no recorded instances of non-Muslims doing this to Muslim girls as part of a criminal enterprise. In one “local jurisdiction, it was estimated that six out of seven Muslim males either knew about, or were part of, a grooming gang.

Igler says, “What you do not have is any example of non-Muslim men targeting Muslim girls for this organized form of abuse. So, the argument that this crime exists everywhere is not only false, but is being deliberately cultivated by the media and by the government inquiry that is kicking the can down the road.”

The “Trusted News Initiative” is an initiative by the BBC to require you to trust “fake news” such as the mRNA jab is a “Safe & Effective” vaccine which has saved everyone except the unvaccinated who do not appear on the BBC because they are all dead.

BBC & OFCOM fact checkers also confirm that half a million people reporting mRNA jab injuries are not to appear on the BBC because they spread misinformation, as they did on the “Mark Steyn Show”, a show not trusted by the “Trusted News Initiative” or OFCOM.

Also the BBC wishes to point out that the “Trusted News Initiative” is in no way anything like George Orwell’s “Ministry of Truth” or a lunatic asylum. This is confirmed by officially approved Fact Checkers, who have carefully checked government approved facts for people who are to thick to think for themselves.

The primary problem with Fentanyl seems to be that it’s so cheap to buy in bulk that it isn’t worth the dealer’s time cutting it and most all users have little grasp of dosage. So essentially it’s reasonable to posit that it’s ignorance killing tens of thousands of recreational / lifestyle drug users…

On the left is a lethal dose of heroin, equivalent to about 30 milligrams; on the right is a 3-milligram dose of fentanyl, enough to kill an average-sized adult male.
      Heroin-Fentanyl-vials-NHSPFL-1024×576-1024×576.jpg

When you compare the average cost of a single dose of each of these, it is easy to see why it makes a cheap substitute or filler:

      Street doses comparative pricing (https://www.addictionresource.net/cost-of-drugs/prescription/fentanyl/)

      heroin cost — $20
      cocaine cost — $20
      cost of methamphetamine — $5
      cost of MDMA —$20
      fentanyl — $2

There are legitimate uses for fentanyl and a quick look there shows that even trained pharmacists have to tread carefully…
