But if you are one of the 37,000+ overpaid, over-pensioned managers employed by (please note I did not write ‘working in’) the NHS, you would be completely unaware of any of these problems. In fact, your main concern would be how to employ more EDI (Equality, Diversity and Inclusion) managers.

Here’s an exciting job opportunity which has just appeared in my emailbox:

Head of Equality, Diversity & Inclusion

      Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust

      Wakefield £50,952 – £57,349 a year – Full-time

      Full Job Description

Diversity and Inclusion has never been a bigger priority for Yorkshire Ambulance Service and we are looking for an experienced practitioner with strong working knowledge of diversity and inclusion to lead our agenda. This agenda has a direct impact on the Trust’s ability to achieve its vision to deliver the best outcomes for patients, with the best people, and partnerships.

      …………………………..

Perhaps we should all email suzanne.hartshorne@nhs.net to tell her (or him or ze – you never know nowadays) that this made-up non-job is a load of woke nonsense and a waste of our money and that getting ambulances to people on time is more important than diversity, inclusion and equality?

Oh, and in case you thought this was not representative of the sort of useless nonentities our worthless collapsing NHS is busy hiring, this is just one of around 26 current job vacancies for these pointless individuals, but I don’t have room here to list them all.

It was drafted in January 2021, months after staff at his school had reported him to the government’s Prevent counter-terrorism scheme.

A teenager who wanted to accelerate a “race war” in Britain has been convicted of planning a far-right terror attack targeting police stations in Newcastle.

Luke Skelton, now 19, carried out hostile reconnaissance and wrote a manifesto and “final note” to spread his message after the attack.

He denied preparing acts of terrorism in the year leading up to his arrest in October 2021, but was convicted by a jury at Teesside Crown Court on Tuesday. His plot is among at least 37 foiled in Britain since March 2017, of which over a third were extreme right-wing.

On 8 March 2021, he wrote: “I simply could not bear to look upon my descendants having known I did nothing as to give them an actual homeland or not to fight.”

He continued extremist activity during the period, including downloading a video featuring Adolf Hitler, researching how to make napalm and recording himself making a speech about a coming race war.

ITV local newsPR “Hull man gets 28 years for printing sub-machine guns on a 3D printer.”
“A computer science lecturer” Sibusiso Moyo

I had to dig into last month’s Time’s article for proper info
    https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/the-computer-nerds-making-home-made-guns-for-terrorists-pwrf8dgz7

As a master’s student in cybersecurity, Sibusiso Moyo was regarded by friends and tutors as well-mannered, “smiley” and gifted in coding.
Such was his talent for computing that after graduating from Bradford University he stayed on to teach others so-called “ethical hacking” skills.
But Moyo, a father of four children, was also honing his technical expertise for a more nefarious purpose.
Police say he was the kingpin of an organised crime group that was manufacturing home-made semi-automatic guns for sale to gangsters in the first case of its kind in the UK.
Moyo arrived in the UK from Zimbabwe as an 18-year-old refugee at the turn of the millennium
refugee at the turn of the millennium.
Over the years, he settled in West Yorkshire, acquired British citizenship and found a partner with whom he would go on to raise a family.
He was determined to make a success of his new life, and his postgraduate degree in cyber-security was even certified by GCHQ, the government’s eavesdropping agency
In May last year, however, police grew to suspect that at least one of his old friends, Majeeb Rehman, 46, was involved in some form of criminality.
A surveillance operation was put in place and investigators watched one night as a third associate, Christopher Gill, 35, met Rehman in Bradford and left an Aldi “bag for life” in the back of his BMW.
When the vehicle was stopped, officers opened the bag and discovered a semi-automatic carbine pistol made out of plastic and metal parts, along with eight live rounds of ammunition.

Prosecutors claimed at his trial last month at Sheffield crown court that Moyo had been making the guns in his kitchen with the help of a 3D printer.
He assembled the moulded plastic parts and bought the metal components, including the barrel and springs, on eBay and at Screwfix. Moyo sought to cover his tracks by using his unsuspecting partner’s name to make the purchases.
“He was clearly the kingpin of this crime group,” said Detective Chief Inspector Andrew Howard, the senior investigating officer. “These guns were made for one purpose and one purpose only . . . to supply other criminals.”

The first man to be convicted of manufacturing a 3D printed weapon in the UK was Tendai Muswere, 26, of south London, who was jailed for three years in 2019

A 3D printed gun has yet to be fired in a crime in Britain, but last year about 15 hybrid weapons were seized

Funny old thing. Watched the 16 May 23 1800 BBC news tonight for the first time in YEARS just to see if there was any coverage at all of Operation CHASTISE aka the Dams raid. Surprisingly there was; but only immediately after extended coverage of a jewellery heist trial taking place in Germany in – of all places – Dresden! How often does BBC international news cover jewellery thefts in other countries?? Nevermind the ‘coincidence’ of the item being in That City and segued together with Bomber Command’s most audacious operation.
