I would like to point out to everyone who is brave enough to spend time on Twitter, that we non-Twitterati can no longer look at a Tweet. Twitter have now put a barrier in the way. You will therefore have to fully explain the contents of a Tweet if you link to it or, as tomo has helpfully done today, to get a screen grab of the Tweet that you reference in your post and put that up.

    Thanks and well done, tomo.

    Have a good weekend everyone.

Depends what OS you are using, Lucy, but if you are on Windows, with W8 and 10 (and probably 11, although I have no experience of it) you use the Snipping Tool which is an ‘App’ that Microsoft provides. Click on the App (it helps if you have pinned it to your taskbar), the page greys out and you have a cross that you can then surround what you wish to screen grab. Then you can save it to a folder, whereever, or post it here.

If you are Apple based I cannot help but someone will, no doubt.

Totally right. I look at twitter but would never sign up – why would I want to give my details and ability to make money off my back to an organisation that bans people?

I have in the past posted twitter links on biasedbbc but no more because of the recent change that twitter have made.

I am disgusted and ashamed to know my father went through WW2 as a RN sailor on aircraft carriers on both the Russian convoy runs and in the pacific against the Japanese to keep this country free but in fact to provide the ability for these utter twats to end up running the country.

I’m given to understand by the BBC news that an innocent youth was pulled in by French police for a spot check on documents and was without cause shot to death .
No wonder there are riots . Who wouldn’t?

Now if the youth in charge of the vehicle ( over 16 , the age some like the SNP and BBC want to vote ) had a string of criminal convictions and had refused to stop that would be a different matter . But the BBC don’t tell me that .

For the fourth night in a row the French are continuing to celebrate their experiment with mass, third world immigration. To be honest, it’s not looking good…

There have been riots, firebombing, fighting, assaults and the oh so predictable looting of stores such as Nike…who’d have thought it…

All this after some revolting young criminal got blown away by the cops.

A few weeks ago in France four babies were attacked by another, third world criminal. He stabbed them and slashed at them with a knife, as their terrified mothers fought to defend their children.

We were told it was all to do with “psychological problems”. There were prayers and flowers, the usual cliches and there were no repercussions.

A week later a similar attack occurred in England where the mothers of the murdered teenagers pleaded with us not to judge people due to their religions or race. They were applauded by the (very white) and very woke crowd.

A long time ago a very wise man once said, “As I look ahead, I am filled with foreboding; like the Roman, I seem to see the river Tiber foaming with much blood.”

    Enoch was right, but…

It’s not just the Tiber, it’s also the Seine, the Trent and the Thames…

The BBC’s Europe editor Katya Adler’s piece ‘Far-right parties on the rise across Europe’…

    https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-66056375

…has provoked Elon Musk into tweeting this:

‘Traditional media have used the term “far-right” so frequently & hyperbolically that it no longer means anything.’

‘What use of that term by media actually represents is the immense ideological gap between the effete elite and the people.’

Wendy, Dame Marianus, Cheyenne and the rest of the disinformers at BBC Verify will be back on the campaign trail against their bogeyman Elon again any minute now. They hate him.

It would be nice if Adler in the interests of balance mentioned that in the early 1930s in Germany the murdering marxists went on a deliberate campaign to exterminate German policemen:

          https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murder_of_Paul_Anlauf_and_Franz_Lenck

This was ordered by Walter Ulbricht who was later rewarded becoming the East German premier leader, and Erich Mielke one of the murderers because head of the East German Stasi.

It should also be pointed out every time the Nuremberg trial is mentioned that the four major crimes the Germans were accused of was also committed by the prosecuting Russians. Not least the unprovoked invasion of other countries e.g. Poland, Finland, Romania etc etc.

          TAKE OVER.

No wonder the Marxist collective is walking all over us. It’s no use moaning about people being banned & de-platformed if you aren’t willing to speak up where you freely can.

I want a voice in parliament. And on The BBC. I don’t have one.
I can’t complain if I retreat from those spaces where I DO have a voice. No one wins a battle by ceding territory to the enemy. Much less the war.

Sane tweeters deserve support not abandonment.
Those few brave souls who have kept a daily record of the invasion on The Kent Coast are worth supporting with a Twitter follow. It’s the least people can do. Where else has there been a record of what the Media Babylon is keen to cover-up?

Twitter is one such space. I’m staying.

      https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eid_al-Adha
“It honours the willingness of Abraham (Ibrahim) to sacrifice one of his sons, either Ishmael (Ismail) or Isaac (Ishaq)[10], as an act of obedience to God’s command. However, before Abraham could sacrifice his son in the name of God, and because of his willingness to do so, God provided him with a lamb to sacrifice in his son’s place. In commemoration of this intervention, animals are ritually sacrificed. Part of their meat is consumed by the family that offers the animal, while the rest of the meat is distributed to the poor”

The animals are slaughtered in halal fashion – throat cut, and bled to death, but as it is often done by amateurs with little experience of slaughtering livestock, it can be gruesome, messy, and drawn out.

Eid this year fell on Wednesday 28th June 2023, but like all Islamic festivals the date changes every year (due to the use of an ancient lunar calender – each year is approx. 354.4 days long).

EVERY year there are hundreds of sheep and goats go missing the week of Eid in the UK, and the MSM say, “it’s a mystery…”. If you support the Islamification of the UK, then you should have the balls to stand up for Muslims when they practice their religion, however gruesome.

Where’s Linekar standing up to support this important religious rite?

qurbani sacrifice is often barbaric cos urban householders don’t know how to kill an animal quickly.
However I’ve never seen them behead or cut off the head ritually

Rather after killing the animal, it is butchered into parts.

    The pro-censorship BBC strikes again.

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-64489083

Nowhere in their report of press regulator Ipso’s ruling against “sexist” Jeremy Clarkson over Meghan Markle do they include points of view critical of the Ipso ruling on free speech grounds, such as Speccie editor Fraser Nelson’s comment that the ruling will have an “immediate chilling effect” on free speech, or of fears about the regulator kowtowing to pressure from social media and groups led by MPs like Harriet Harman.

    https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/jeremy-clarkson-meghan-duchess-of-sussex-column-brngfqpsf

It took three BBC “entertainment reporters” to write that BBC piece, yet not one of those hacks thought it right to include such concerns in their “report”- which makes them either biased and useless, or both.

    • StewGreen says:

Times : The article, published in December under the headline “One day, Harold the glove puppet will tell the truth about A Woman Talking B*****ks”, was found to have broken Ipso’s rules on discrimination grounds

Jeremy Clarkson’s newspaper column about the Duchess of Sussex was “humiliating and degrading”, the press regulator has said.
The Independent Press Standards Organisation (Ipso) has ruled that The Sun column about the Duchess of Sussex was sexist because of its “pejorative and prejudicial” comments.
The paper is highlighting the press watchdog’s verdict on its front page on Saturday and is including it in a similar position to Clarkson’s column, which ran on page 17, as well as online

      https://archive.is/WY3ec

Surely calling Harry a glove puppet is degrading to him the man ?
And Clarkson is calling her Meghan a bully.
If a columnist calls a man a bully,
that is not regarded as being “sexist”

      Times leader : https://archive.is/k5Jn2
“The Times view on Jeremy Clarkson and the Duchess of Sussex: Ipso Oversteps
In its latest ruling, the press regulator has exceeded its brief
Ipso’s regulations expressly preclude it from investigating complaints relating to matters of taste, decency and impartiality.
This ill-judged ruling should concern all defenders of a free press.”

NHS reform. Concern over plans to boost workforce. Government plan to shorten medical training by a year could dilute the calibre of doctors and damage the quality of care patients receive… – frets the Guardian

Whereas trawling for third world medics with stuttering English and often only qualified by a dodgy degree from some obscure Eastern European university… that’s just fine and dandy?

NHS foreign doctor hires outnumber places for Brits in medical school, report reveals… More overseas doctors joined the health service last year than the number of British students who enrolled in medical schools, figures show. (Daily Mail)

Even the developing world nations appear to be more picky than our NHS: Corruption in Ukraine’s Medical Universities… There are also serious concerns regarding the quality of medical graduates. Saudi Arabia no longer recognizes Ukrainian medical diplomas of its graduates. In 2017, the Ambassador of Kuwait met with the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine and stated that recognition of academic degrees will be done on the basis of each particular university rather than automatically based on the receipt of Ukraine’s degrees. These oil-rich countries can afford better educated physicians and high-quality medical services. (Inside Higher Ed)

Why post-2021 Ukraine medical degrees will not be recognised… The Medical and Dental Council has said medical and dental certificates issued by medical schools in Ukraine from 2022 will not be honoured by the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (A welcome debut at this review for Punch – which claims to be Nigeria’s most widely read newspaper – take that with a pinch of salt. The Telegraph claims to be: Britain’s best quality newspaper; FT: National newspaper of the year; the Mirror mirrors the claim: Newspaper of the year; as does the Guardian: Newspaper of the year; The Sun meanwhile is: The peoples paper; in contrast the Express is: United with the people of Ukraine)

How funny that the most editorially globalist and supranational orientated paper the FT inserts the word National as prefix to its newspaper of the year boast – but I digress

Can anyone give me a list of all those fake medical universities at Ukraine? (Asks someone on Quora – because I’m sure he wants to avoid them – that question, by the way, garners a lot of responses from Indians)

It’s sexual assault

We know how you feel, luv. Well, there are some of us lads who know how you feel: Kevin Spacey ‘a sexual bully’ Actor accused of 12 assaults on four men (the Dail Mirror there splashing with this story as we say goodbye to Flaming June – which was of course Pride Month – pinch punch slap and tickle first of the month)

The Donald said it, Spacey did it (allegedly): Kevin Spacey is a sexual bully who grabbed men by the crotch, a court heard (Mirror)

Meanwhile our BBC in their court reporting puts rather an impressive effort into the case for the defence – it was ‘institutional’, init man: Lucy Letby trial: Babies died ‘due to care failures and not murder’… The deaths of seven babies at a hospital were due to “serial failures in care” and not murder-accused nurse Lucy Letby, her defence barrister has said. Ms Letby shed tears as Ben Myers KC said the case against her was “driven by a relentless presumption of guilt” (BBC) – well we can’t be having that… the jury might be swayed

Sexual assault survivors welcome Scottish plans to scrap ‘not proven’ verdict. Other proposals include pilot of judge-only trials for rape cases (Guardian) – watch out for increasing moves toward the gradual errosion of that ancient British tradition of trial by jury

Mr AsI takes this rather poignant moment to apologise to the families of covid victims. I don’t know how come one needs to do that – but it seems to be the right thing to do (as they say)

It looks as though the pro forma apology to relatives has taken the place of a swearing in oath or the statement of one’s credentials for witnesses at that regime-stacked Covid Inquiry

Ok, ok, here’s my mea culpa, I was wrong, I made a mistake, I sincerely apologise, it was fake news… it’s official – France is NOT – repeat NOT a safe country for the sending back of asylum seekers: Foreign Office warns Britons over travel to France during riots (BBC)

Further revelations from the BBC: it was on TV that ‘Temperaturegate’ occurred, not the web-site but maybe the Weather App as well. You know you can trust the BBC, don’t you? I think Marianna should spring into action with her team to make sure all the truth comes out about ‘Temperaturegate’. I am kicking myself firmly on both ankles that I did not keep a link to the new news that it occurred on TV. I’ll see if I can search it out.

Paris suburb rocked by killing and unrest
    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/world-europe-66073728

I’m reading this article to see how much it tells me about the people doing the rioting. The answer is nothing.

The BBC are in a panic over this one. They know full well the riots are way, way out of proportion and it’s not about the shooting at all. So they are doing what they always do for these stories : ignoring the big story and focussing on ’empathy’. Here’s what they say of the victim:

‘Those who knew Nahel, who was of Algerian descent, said he was well-loved in Nanterre where he lived with his mother Mounia and had apparently never known his father.’

‘He had given his mother a big kiss before she went to work, with the words “I love you, Mum”.’

Really BBC ?. I think you wrote that last bit yourself – as you have done many times previously for similar stories.

But what this is REALLY all about is the hatred of Infidels. Those rioters don’t care one bit about the man who was shot. They hate the people who did it.

We all knew this kind of thing would happen as the cities filled up with 3rd world. It’s going to happen here as well. I’m surprised they aren’t rioting already.

All I can say is I have no sympathy for France whatsoever. They made their bed. Just as we are making ours.

Riots spread across London and other major English cities, sparked by the death of 29-year-old Mark Duggan, who was shot dead by police in Tottenham on 4 August 2011. The riots – the biggest in modern English history

From the DT on the licence tax

In the age of internet streaming services, Britain’s TV licence fee is a dinosaur.

First introduced in 1928, the levy generates most of the BBC’s income and is used to pay presenters’ salaries and fund news and entertainment programmes.

The cost of a TV licence – currently £159 a year – is due to begin rising with inflation in 2024 after the Government’s two-year freeze comes to an end.

Not paying for a licence when you should have is a crime. Almost 1,000 people a week (70pc of them women) are prosecuted for failing to pay for their licence, The Telegraph revealed earlier this year.

Unlike the non-payment of utility bills and parking tickets, which are treated as civil matters, those who refuse to pay the television licence receive a criminal record and the details can show up on an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.

Giving up your licence means losing your ability to use BBC iPlayer and watch or record live television.

Here, Telegraph Money reveals how to get the most out of your licence and how to stop paying while still having plenty to watch elsewhere.

Check if you qualify for a discount or exemption
The BBC stopped offering free TV licences to the over 75s in 2020.

For over 75 year olds who receive pension credit (you must have income of under £201.05 a week and less than £10,000 in savings) the BBC still covers the cost of the licence fee.

This means, if your household includes one person who meets both criteria or two people who meet either, you do not have to pay to watch live television and iPlayer.

TV Licensing, which operates the licence scheme, also outlines discounts to those living in care homes and sheltered accommodation, who pay £7.50 a year, blind people (£79.50), and those with black and white televisions (£53.50).

At the last count, in 2019, there were just 6,500 homes with black and white licences, down from more than 200,000 in 2000.

Watch on tablets, mobiles and laptops
Second home owners do not necessarily need to purchase an additional TV licence to enjoy television while away from their main home.

Second homes and holiday lets can be covered by one licence for watching television and iPlayer on devices that are battery-powered, such as tablets, mobiles and laptops. This does not apply to any devices that are plugged into the mains.

Students living in halls or private rented accommodation while studying can watch live television and iPlayer on devices that are not powered through the mains provided their ‘out-of-term’ address, such as their parents’ home, is covered by a TV licence.

Caravans, boats, mobile homes and vehicles can have mains-powered devices that are covered by the same TV licence as that of a fixed address, provided that television is not watched in both places at the same time. To do this you will need to submit a non-simultaneous use declaration to TV Licensing.

Channel Four Wales or S4C, a free public Welsh language broadcaster, does not require a licence to watch on demand.

    Sacrifice live TV
While you do need a licence to watch iPlayer, licences are not required to watch television on catchup services like ITVX and Channel 4 after it has already been broadcast live.

In 2022, data from Ofcom showed that 90pc of 18-24 year-olds had all but ceased watching traditional live TV and instead went directly to their favourite shows via streaming services.

Following the lead of younger generations and subscribing to Amazon Prime Video, Netflix or Now TV could save households the cost of a licence with plenty left to watch.

But paying for a streaming service for one year is unlikely to be much cheaper than a TV licence. Currently, Netflix costs between £4.99 and £15.99 per month, Amazon Prime Video £8.99 and Now TV £9.99 to £12.

Rhiannon Philps, a personal finance expert at Nerdwallet, said that television deals offered by Sky and Virgin include streaming services at lower prices.

A lot of TV packages are open to adding on extras,” she said. “If you’re looking to renew it’s worth adding a streaming service to a bundle.”

Without a licence you will also lose access to all types of live broadcast, including live streams on YouTube from broadcasters based anywhere in the world, as well as live video coverage on the BBC website.

Helen Dewdney, a consumer expert, said: “If you watch any live TV or record it as it is being broadcast you have to pay the fee.

“This includes some streaming services if you are watching something that is being broadcast live on another channel but it’s ok to watch on demand.”

She adds: “For more details on what you can and can’t watch without a TV licence, check out the licence fee website which lists all the things you have to still pay for before cancelling.”

TV Licensing may still contact you even if you do not watch live television or use iPlayer. To stop receiving warning letters in the post if you do not require a licence, file a ‘No Licence Needed’ declaration via the TV licensing website.

Ask for a refund – but don’t get caught out
If you have already paid for a TV licence this year, but want to cancel and watch TV another way, it is possible to request a refund from TV Licencing. To qualify you must have at least one month left on your licence before it is due to renew.

Mistakenly paying for a TV licence when you do not watch live television or BBC iPlayer, but own a TV set, could also entitle you to a refund from TV Licensing.

If you are planning on moving entirely to streaming, bear in mind that some streaming firms allow customers to watch live television.

Households are warned that they could be breaking the law if they access live broadcasts without a TV licence through services like Sky Go, Channel 4, ITVX, YouTube, Amazon Prime Video and Now TV.

You could be prosecuted for watching or recording live TV or iPlayer without a licence. The maximum fine is £1,000 plus any legal costs that you may be ordered to pay.ENDS

The police quite rightly have to have 1 million % evidence
to convict them . Or otherwise it would be a
waste of time taking them to court. CCT evidence . stolen
credit cards used. Eye witness accounts both those witnessing
the muggings. And the evidence of the boys who were mugged.
The BIG problem is that these youths know that they are
    almost “untouchable”
They have media outlets such as the BBC telling us that
they are depraved, because they are deprived. The police in

The “Corruption Perceptions Index” for the public sector showed 88 points in Somalia for 2022. The scale has a range from 0 to 100. The more corruption rises, the higher the number is. With this result Somalia ranks worst in a worldwide comparison. Compared to the previous year, in 2022, the level of corruption slightly raised. In the long term, it has declined moderately in recent years.

We all have them infrequently, fortunately. That would be Dreams. Particularly of the type where you wake up in a panic when the dream you are experiencing creates the situation where you are running from some evil but you are running away, ‘on the spot’ i.e. going nowhere and you know the evil is catching up.

The, ‘evil’ for me right now is my bank. If you’ve made a smallish bank to bank transfer (to an established listed payee) recently, you will know what I mean. Virtually every transaction requires you to be sent a ‘code’ to your mobile phone which you need to enter into the online instruction. Never used to be that way. The time limit on the ‘code’ is now reducing by the day so, in effect, if you bother to check the details of the transaction before proceeding, the ‘code’ will expire needing another. Two maybe three messages along the way of the, ‘Sure you want to do this’ variety are on the increase. It is now very obvious they do not want you to withdraw ‘their’ money from your account.

Knowing about the Farage situation, it has become necessary to seriously consider getting out of the clutches of the banking cartel. It is a cartel when no alternative bank will entertain Farage. Someone spread the word. Depending upon your financial commitments i.e. standing orders, I submit that those payments like water/sewage/Council tax, will just have to produce a ‘paying-in’ book the way it used to be and paid in cash, ‘over the counter’. I’ve recently re-taxed the car. To do it now, online, you have to make a standing order for even a future annual ‘take’ by the government. Me? I took the form into the post office with MOT and insurance cert and did it the way we used to: Cash!

Time to give serious thought to alternatives.

Jeremy Clarkson has had his knuckles rapped for what he said about Meghan Markle. Something about being dragged naked through the streets and pelted with excrement. For some unfathomable reason the criticism is based on sexism, not vulgarity or even racism. The media has scarcely mentioned his contention that he was alluding to a scene from Game of Thrones, which is presumably provable either way.

The funny thing is….the media, including the BBC seem very keen on reading out essentially verbatim exactly what he said!!!!!!!!! They have done it several times at sequential news bulletins.

If it was so bad, why are the media repeating it so openly???

Could it be that, to quote from the film ‘All the Presidents Men’ …he screwed up. But he wasn’t wrong.

The number of people having bank accounts closed unceremoniously by banks is obviously on the increase. This can only be down to internal pressure from their own LGBT etc. etc. etc, staff having melt-downs.

The possession of a bank account is fundamental to many peoples way of life and the banks should have bulletproof evidence of misuse or illegal activity to force it to close, disagreeing with someone’s point of view is certainly not a valid excuse to do so and neither is simply not liking them very much.

In any event the banks should be forced to compensate the owner of any account they force to close to cover the time, effort and hassle of rearranging there banking affairs, say minimum £10,000 per account?
The government needs to take a grasp on this now and create an official independent channel that banks are forced by law to use if they want to ditch an account. Then both sides would be able to present facts to the enquiry and substantial damages awarded if the action is deemed to be taken because of bank staff intolerance or naked prejudice.

There are probably other industries where the same routine should be obligatory starting with all the public services including the health service.

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-65886212

‘The US Supreme Court has ruled that race can no longer be considered as a factor in university admissions.’

On what planet does these Left-wing cretins think that using race to decide admission is not racist discrimination ?.

‘The landmark ruling upends decades-old US policies on so-called affirmative action, also known as positive discrimination.’

The Left have called it ‘affirmative action’ to try and hide the fact it is absolutely discrimination.

Now listen to what Biden has said:
“We cannot let this decision be the last word,” he said. “Discrimination still exists in America.”

Yes Joe : racist discrimination against whites. This judgement has just confirmed it.

But the real nugget is here:

“This is not a normal court,” he added of the nine justices, who are ideologically split between six conservatives and three liberals.

That remark should have seen him crucified. What’s a normal court Joe ?. All Liberal ?. That’s the kind of comment Hitler would have made.

‘Justice Clarence Thomas, the nation’s second black justice and a conservative who has long called for an end to affirmative action, agreed.

He wrote that such programmes were “patently unconstitutional”.’

Are you reading this BBC ?. You are as guilty as anybody. You are racists and your racist discrimination in everything you do is absolutely illegal. You know it, OFCOM know it – but the Nazi Left think that the law is there to control those who are not ideologically liberal. They consider themselves intellectually superior and hence have the right override the law when it suits them.

Lets hope someone takes the BBC and OFCOM to court after this.

I checked last week : OFCOM is comprised of civil servants, ex-BBC/Channel 4 and academics.

About as far away from the vast majority of the British public they are supposed to ‘protect’ as you can get.

But of course they are not really there to do that. They are there to help engineer society in line with the leftist (by which I mean ‘new Nazi’) agenda.

I am often amazed at the extent of hypocrisy our entire society functions under. I’m reading the last of the Hilary Mantel trilogy about Henry VIII/Cromwell and it strikes me how little we have actually changed. It’s a fictional story but based on the facts of the time. In that respect, it’s more accurate than ‘Panorama’.

I summise it is all just human nature from people greedy for money and power so it will never change.

I recently came across a Democrat road map to remove Joe Biden, and replace him with Gavin Newsome, possibly with a brief time with Michelle Obama standing in.
There was a huge amount of media co-operation and lying involved begining with them attacking Joe Biden for his record on the economy in particular, where he is already very unpopular.
This would be followed by Jill being approached, and once agreed on they would announce that age and health would be the reason.
The media would then move to running anti Trump pro Biden stories about how he was faced with a tremendous task righting the wrongs done by Trumo, and how he succeeded massively at the task, eulogising him and never mentioning the bribery and other corruption throughout.

I think we might well have seen the begining of this media corruption already as they have attacked Karine Jean-Pierre and becomming more vocal over Bidens appalling record.

Don’t be fooled, this pit of vipers is not changing one little bit, it’s all business as usual and they are following the orders from central command.

Not bbc but forgive me . What are the queers campaigning for . I’m not of the queer faith – and as far as I can see their ‘life practices ‘ are now accepted and legal – sexually transmitted diseases are shooting up and no doubt nature will invent a new virus …
But the BBC actively pushes the ‘ agenda ‘ … but why – is it some kind of method of undermining nature – the family ? Maybe I just answered my own question .

The Tucker piece about the bloke in the USnavy who now wears lady uniform might be an indicator … ?

Well, given my limited exposure to a few I met personally and celebrities like Graham Norton, Alan Carr etc, no amount of attention is enough for them.

Same as BLM+feminists (and ALL activists come to that) : no amount of concessions will ever be enough. They will always demand more.

Unfortunately the ‘new generation’ of BBC employee clones only do ’empathy’ so they love nothing more than an underdog claiming to be a victim.

No time to delve further but if Elon Musk has upset journos again, especially the flouncing entitled harpie that is Ms. Myska, it might be a good thing.

Frankly her tweet as it stands is hilarious in what it reveals.

The Twitter limits are intended to hinder bots
the limits are higher than almost humans will read

“unverified accounts are now limited to reading 600 posts a day.

“verified” status are currently limited to 6,000 posts a day.”
No human can read that much
thats 10 tweets per minute, 60 minutes an hour, for 10 hours

@SangitaMysk moans a 6000 limit will ” totally stuff journalists”

Guess what limit she imposes on fact checkers like me ?

      zero
She banned me from seeing her tweets
when all I did was ask if “climate crisis ” was a BBC term
cos she used it in promoting her programme

Point being “climate crisis” is not a science word it’s a POLITICAL PR word.
and thus should not be in the PR and blurb of BBC progs

Russia ramps up use of deadly Lancet suicide drone to blunt Ukraine’s offensive
    https://www.telegraph.co.uk/world-news/2023/07/01/russia-increases-deadly-lancet-drone-use-against-ukraine/

Hidden behind the paywall – but if you are using a PC, you let the page start to load then stop it quickly and you can see the story.

An extremely relevant piece of information given what a hot topic it is. Yet the BBC seem not to want us to know about it.

The comments are similar to BBC HYS now. I think all news forums here are saturated by trolls. The most popular comment is:

‘I assume Putin has demanded the design is particularly good at targeting and killing, innocent kids eating pizza.’

    Someone replied:
‘There is ample evidence now that there were a number of soldiers and mercenaries in that restaurant for a staff meeting, alongside civilians.’

Which could of course be described as using them as human shields – but we won’t go there. They forgot just how brutal Russia are in war.
