Sunak’s conference speech, introduced by his wife, contained some news, although no surprises. Guido gives you the main points…
No tax cuts

Rest of HS2 cancelled in favour of £36 billion worth of “Network North” projects.
HS2 will go to Euston
£2 bus fare cap in England will remain

On vapes, “looking at flavours, packaging, point-of-sale displays and disposable vapes”.
Sunak “won’t be bullied into believing ‘people can be any sex they want to be”.
Double student medics and also reform “workflows” of the NHS.

“Journalism is printing what someone else does not want printed (May and Corbyn’s old speeches): everything else is public relations.” – Orwell
Theresa May … being put forward as Prime Minister and issuing a general election on implementing Brexit which was about immigration and sovereignty. … these speeches were never mentioned on the BBC £3.5bn news or other media outlets …
1978 … “Every country can take some small minorities and in many ways they add to the richness and variety of this country. The moment the minority threatens to become a big one, people get frightened.” – Margaret Thatcher 1978
2012 … “Two and a half years ago, the coalition government was formed, and we made a clear promise to the British public. After thirteen years of uncontrolled mass immigration, this government would reduce and control immigration.” – Theresa May 2012
2015 … “Because when immigration is too high (no figure given), when the pace of change is too fast, it’s impossible to build a cohesive society.” – Theresa May 2015
Jeremy Corbyn … with all the news on BBC £3.5bn Service regarding the Iran Nuclear Deal, Jeremy Corbyn has not been asked why he backs Al Quds protests and has spoken at them or why his is not vocal on Iran’s ‘death to’ position with Israel.
2012 … Jeremy Corbyn speaks at Al Quds march, Al Quds is the protest for all the oppressed but was initiated by an oppressor Ayatollah Khomeini. Jeremy Corbyn does not chastise the Iranian regime.
2018 … Iran release a ‘Death to Israel’ and ‘Death to America’ Government approved emoji. But this is not mentioned when talking about Iran by the BBC or other outlets.
MPs expenses …. it was in 2008 that MPs used expenses to fill their own pockets or shredded. UK MPs on both sides have talked about reducing expenses and recession and austerity.
Yet, since 2010 MPs have enjoyed a pay increased of 18%.
How come the BBC news has not reported on this when talking to MPs?
“The omission is the most powerful form of lie,
and it is the duty of the historian to ensure that those lies
do not creep into the history books.” – George Orwell
If paddy p had a book on mr fox being charged I’d put a £10 on it ( huge bet for me ) – I wonder if the CPS has already authorised charge ? Or will The State impose long pre charge bail conditions to shut him up . ?
Freedom is rapidly disappearing – but not if some one is approved – eg stop oil …
If Mr Fox is charged and sent for trial, I hope there is the biggest street protest in UK history around the court.
It is the only language these goons will understand.
They have to be stopped by the sheer power of Joe Public as their selective hounding and silencing of people they disagree with will keep getting worse as they push to impose their Marxist police goon state agenda.
This is a worrying development.
Cannot get a policeman to investigate assault robbery shop lifting but give verbal tacit support.to something Which most of us support is getting into the realms of some countries of the thirties
So Fox (aka Yaxley Lennon??) has been sacked by GB News, arrested, and looks like following Tommy Robinson into silence. Perhaps Farage will come to his defence now that he is a Government favourite.

Hate can be any incident or crime, motivated by prejudice or hostility (or perceived to be so) against a person’s race, religion, sexual orientation, transgender identity or disability. It includes:
A criminal offence where the law is broken is a hate crime
An incident that is not a criminal offence is a hate incident
‘Hate’ can cause a range of emotional responses, including fear, anger and shock. People experience mental and physical well-being issues such as problems sleeping, depression, anxiety and paranoia.
Why do I say that?
Because this story was true whether Sunak cancelled HS2 or not. It had already happened. So why did the BBC not show this story yesterday? Last week? Last month? Last year?
It can only be because they
a. Supported HS2 irrespective of taxpayer-funded cost and therefore deliberately suppressed negative stories about the project while it was still live; and
b. Have embarrassing the government as a primary aim irrespective of the validity of any given decision or policy.
BBC Strictly Come Dancing contestant Stacey Dooley … will the BBC mention Stacey’s visit to home town Luton and meeting Anjem Choudary (Anjem backed the remain campaign)?

Not BBC but one of the most deranged Guardian takes I have seen yet:
“Sweden used to pride itself on moderation – until US-style culture wars poisoned our politics”. The Swedish writer acknowledges gun violence and gang crime are now at record levels… and then goes on to blame the far-right, and in particular Swedish politicians who’ve learnt divisive rhetoric from Trump and MAGA conservatives.
“… Trump’s presidency popularised these narratives globally, and emboldened Swedish nationalists to copy-paste the worst aspects of his style.”
The Swedish PM has now had to call for military support on the streets… but any links between the violence and the huge, rapid influx of foreigners in recent years are simply “conservative crime narratives that scapegoat immigrant communities”.
Only the Guardian could get things this wrong (and the BBC, Sky, the Indy etc.)
Laws are bent, Merkel fails to protect her people back in the day, all over Europe . ….
BBC fails to follow up on a refugee related News story … BBC £3.5bn Search for ‘Maria Freiburg’
… sorry if this makes you feel sick or generates hatred, but why aren’t the BBC interested in Maria Ladenburge’s killer being brought to justice and why the killer did it ….
The Trial of Hussein Khavari (murdered Maria Ladenburge) Becomes Even More Sordid {gatesofvienna.net sep2017}
The accused entered the courtroom with shackles on hands and feet at 9:05am. First he read out loud a letter of apology, and he asked the family of the murdered Maria Ladenburger for forgiveness, Focus reports.
“I wish I could undo everything. What I have done, I am deeply sad about that from the bottom of my heart.” (Hussein K.)
Then he went on to recount the events of the night of the murder:
He had been drinking with three friends and he had smoked hashish. Because he was extremely drunk, he was thrown out of the bar. At some time after that, he was on his way home. At the [river] Dreisam, the girl on her bicycle approached him.
He kicked against the bicycle, which caused the girl to fall off. She screamed. He held her mouth shut. Then he strangled her with her shawl until she was unconscious.
“When I saw how pretty she was, I wanted to have sex with her.” (Hussein K.)
Apparently he thought that he had already strangled her to death. The judge questioned him concerning “sex with a dead girl,” and the offender said:
“It didn’t bother me to have sex with a dead girl.” (Hussein K.)

The Police can only prosecute when the law is broken, but we also want to know about non-crime hate incidents. These incidents may not be criminal offences but often can feel like a crime to those affected, and can sometimes escalate to crimes, therefore, we work with partners to try and prevent this from happening. Hate incidents can include things such as offensive or insulting comments, online, in person or in writing.
O’Brien was looking down at him speculatively. More than ever he had the air of a teacher taking pains with a wayward but promising child.
‘There is a Party slogan dealing with the control of the past,’ he said. ‘Repeat it, if you please.’
“Who controls the past controls the future: who controls the present controls the past,” repeated Winston obediently.
“Who controls the present controls the past,” said O’Brien, nodding his head with slow approval. ‘Is it your opinion, Winston, that the past has real existence?’
Again the feeling of helplessness descended upon Winston. His eyes flitted towards the dial. He not only did not know whether ‘yes’ or ‘no’ was the answer that would save him from pain; he did not even know which answer he believed to be the true one.
Don’t think Trudeau and his office didn’t know because he must have done.
I have a neighbour or should I say had who was born in Lvov, and fought for the Nazi’s in WWII, partly because they had a gun at his head, and partly because he hated the Russians. He did not however believe any Nazi ideology and he did not join an SS division.
I think todays Socialists know all about the rise of Nazism and are emulating it, because anyone who knows that history can recognise the techniques being used.

Here is a post on the legal situation of the idiotic Laurence Fox who deliberately baited the Police into arresting him if you watch the video it might change your mind
Conspiracy to commit a crime …. “If the law of the land is Islamic, we will respect the law of the land. If it’s not Islamic (the law) then the law of the land, and those who make them, can go to hell quite honestly.” – Anjhem Chordary
If you watch it you will learn there has to be a specific crime, saying someone can go to hell isn’t even a crime although it might be if said to some favourite groups.
I quoted the law regarding Conspiracy above in an earlier posting. Not having watched the video from Fox, I assumed that there (surely) cannot have been any positive connection between those carrying out the damage and Fox. Further, I had assumed Fox had not committed the early part of the crime, i.e. ‘agreement’ with others. Seems Fox has dug his own grave. I’m personally neutral about the Fox character in general but his actions are simply stupid. The police will love ‘low hanging fruit’ all nicely packaged up for them.
Lawrence said people could get them for free from B&Q FFS, not that he had them at his house.
This guy is desperate in the extreme to try and justify what the police have done.
The fact they have used all these police on such weak grounds to harass and intimidate Laurence IMMEDIATELY after they blew up what he said on GB-News way, way out of proportion is about as clear as it can get that the ‘establishment’ are out to remove him.
They have done it to every single right-wing activist who starts to get popular. It’s plain and simple left-wing fascism. The country is now so far gone from Leftist/Globalist political policies, the only way to stop a chance of civil unrest is to quickly suppress those who have different opinions and start to get noticed by the public.
Let’s see what out-of-context cherry-picking maxi manages to come up with tonight from his favourite far-Left websites (after he gets home all bitter and twisted on his down-cycle from whatever depraved activity he gets up to on a Thursday).
It’s unfortunate that this barrister didn’t mention what the penalty is for conspiracy. It is death .
The cps will be aching to apply the public interest test to get fox prosecuted convicted and imprisoned – where the state can kill him off … ..physically if they are lucky but otherwise economically …
Tommy Robinson’s video says he was sent to a mainly Muslim prison then he was put in a room full of Muslims and the door was locked.
Can’t say if it’s true or not – but if it is (and he was highly plausible for the whole interview), that itself could be construed as a ‘hopeful assasination attempt’.
None of that worked so they did your second option. The newspapers are full of a range of ‘bad’ reasons why – but just by coincidence he was financially ruined.
All of it stinks and I don’t believe a single word I read in newspapers on matters perceived as ‘National Security’. We are a nation of liars – and I suspect we always have been.
Money where his mouth is – rebellion has a price… as Fox is discovering – however – Packham roams free.
I’ve watched Daniel J ShenSmith on and off since he started on YouTube.
The main target of his advocacy seems to be self promotion (not uncommon in that profession). One thing I notice about him is a near complete absence of gradation in interpretation (in cases where nuance is actually appropriate) and a chin out attitude – I’d wager he’s a bit more of a pussycat in front of a judge.

ABSTRACT
Shortly after Infosys was founded in 1981, its managers faced a major turning point when they made a decision to operate without giving in to the petty corruption rife in the Indian economy. Within just a few years, that decision had truly defined the company. Over the next 25 years, Infosys managers went to extraordinary lengths to avoid even the most modest of practices that they considered inappropriate. Explores the practices and methods that Infosys adopted instead, considers their costs, benefits, and generalizability, and contextualizes the problem within Indian political and economic institutions that continue to evolve.
Another minor ‘Crime’ piled on the police to enforce. Have you noticed, the police ‘hammer’ a new crime when it becomes law for a short period in the hope that those indulging in the crime alter their ways. Then the police ease off that particular crime and keep it tucked away for a rainy day crime (Robinson / Fox). However, “……what you wish for….” swings into view. ID cards would simplify the police checking on age…………… ID cards, ID cards ID cards – Would’nt that just help the ‘boys in blue’?
Yes, our Government is that devious when they want to drain the public.
The Four Eyes (TFE) is an alliance of useful idiots comprising Television Newspeak International (TNI) lead by the British Brainwashing Corporation (BBC) and controlled by the Office For Censorship, Obedience & Manipulation (OFCOM) and a brigade of 77 gullible useful idiots (77th Brigade)
The three slogans of the four eyes are: “WAR IN UKRAINE IS PEACE,” “FREEDOM IS RIGHT WING,” and “YOU WILL OWN NOTHING AND BE HAPPY.”
These Four Eyes are in a Public Private partnership with a fifth eye called “Private Eye” run by Ian Hislop, who satirises old fashioned right-wing concepts such as Free Speech and popular Democracy. Old fashioned concepts of freedom supported by the patriotic public and the Christian enemies of Private Eye, such as Jacob Rees-Mogg.
The Four Eyes (TFE) alliance of useful idiots are instructed by the Government to protect Big Pharma and the Globalist Ecosystem from Harm, and are instructed to take action against the public, using brainwashing techniques to create behavioural and attitudinal changes to public opinion, using a vast militia of real, fake, and automated social media accounts to disseminate and amplify pro-state messaging, and discredit domestic enemies of the government. The Fifth Eye called “Private Eye”, is run by two MI5 officers (code names ‘Ratbiter’ & ‘Editor’) paid through the BBC, by the government. The mission of these evil traitors is to prevent harm to the Government and Big Pharma.
Ten of the ‘Harms’ banned by the Government:
(1) Doctors who harm the government by supporting the Hippocratic oath
(2) Doctors who harm the government by supporting ‘Doctors for COVID Ethics’
(3) Doctors who harm the government and Big Pharma profits by recommending Ivermectin
(4) Holocaust survivors who harm the government by appearing on GB News
(5) Weathermen who harm the government by disagreeing with Greta
(6) Atmospheric Physicist who harm the government by talking
(7) People who harm the government by talking about the Pfizer documents
(8) People who harm the government by opposing sexual perversion in schools
(9) People who harm the government by wanting it to repeal the indemnity given to Big Pharma
(10) People who harm the government by wanting to talk about the half million vaccine injured and dead
Definitely NOT on the BBC: In just 24 hours there have been 3 seperate killings of white, woke SJW types in 3 Democrat-run hellholes, all by – ahem – future ‘engineers and doctors’.
Delicious irony, this SJW guy was killed minutes from Malcolm X Boulevard, NY.
In case anyone doesn’t know, many Democrat areas have Soros-sponsored DA’s who are very lenient on crime, especially involving future engineers.
Regardless of varying views on Fox’s comments, i thought it astonishing that so many police were standing around with arms folded in his sitting room !
There would have been umpteen 999 calls in the time they were staring into space, its bloody laughable. No doubt the call went out it was Laurence Fox to be raided and they all piled in, so sod the villains robbing the off license !
There seems, to me, to be a degree of very deliberate and very public humiliation of ‘thought criminals’ going on, as a means to dissuade other ‘wrong thinkers’ perhaps?
It is a bit scary, and a bit like living in some tinpot dictatorship.
When the Tolpuddle martyrs fell foul of the authorities in 1834 one policeman was sent to arrest them. The police officer then escorted the six labourers on foot to Dorchester, a distance of about eight miles.
Some interesting insights into what’s going on at GB News…
Among other claims: there’s a civil war behind the scenes; a lot of people work there just to get a foot into broadcasting, but don’t share the ideology; many come from the BBC while others want to end up in the BBC…
If all the main GB News presenters don’t resign in protest right now, they are condemning themselves to a slow and painful demise where they get picked off one by one. The Left don’t just want rid of a few of the most right-wing : they want to destroy it completely.
GB News is worthless without people brave enough to go against the establishment line.
The presenters at GBNews – all of them – failed the honour test when mark steyn got cancelled . And it’s obvious that the kidults at GBNews wouid use it as a stepping stone to the MSM and – no doubt – feed intel to BBCOFCOM for their own advantage ….
Maybe the reason Farage has started dancing with blue labour is that he can see his broadcasting career coming to an end ….
It seems to me that Fox, Steyn, Brazier and others are collateral damage on the way to “get Farage”. The leftoid / socialist establishment detest Farage in a way that’s akin to TDS.

I don’t know about the ‘shag gate’ thing – what was said – context – as I don’t care . I do care though – about the number of men killing themselves . A friend of mine hanged himsel a few years ago and I’d never thought he ‘was the type ‘ .
But increasing numbers of men dying is of no interest or concern to the msm at all . It supports the narrative that – white men are no longer wanted by the ‘approved ‘ they’d rather Yap about bad words being used to woke wimmin ….
As I said above – perhaps Farage is courting the blue Labour because he knows GBN is toast ….
I lost a colleague to suicide, and as Fed said, he never seemed ‘the type’ (perhaps there isn’t a ‘type’ to take their own life, but it seems to be mostly white, hetero men that do).
Why do so many men take their own life? I honestly don’t know, but the fact we’re simultaneously ‘cancelled’ and treated as the root of all evil by the MSM really can’t be helping. I have wondered if being brainwashed into hating yourself is one of the reasons so many young men are now changing gender, saying they’re gay, bi, etc…. ? It also explains why so many seem to be misogynists (the real thing, not just people who say daft things about specific women), which isn’t good either!
During lockup I noticed a big increase in misandrist posters saying e.g. ‘violence by men against women and children is unacceptable’.
There is a poster like this up on our village notice board. It seemed conveniently opportunistic. How did all these posters get designed, printed, and published when everything was closed?
This is the same village where a young father of kindergarten aged children has just recently tried to commit suicide.

Katie Hopkins assessment of the Tory conference -she referred to ‘ guy Fawkes ‘ – which in the current climate suggests she will be arrested for conspiracy to cause explosions ….. any way she thinks Farage will dump the reform party and get a safe brexit Tory seat –
She also observes that we ( punters ) see straight through the swamp – red and blue – and don’t want to hear them anymore ….
Statue of limitation… yes … and notice how she doesn’t call president trump – president trump – which I always thought was the courtesy paid to former presidents – as well as current ones – like Obama …. 4 terms … wow
Public Advocate Letitia James didn’t just take $750,000 in public money that she didn’t need for her campaign this year: She spent $500,000 of it on Election Day itself — dumping money she’d otherwise have been obliged to return.
In case any of you want to do a citizens arrest on these shoplifters, it’s only allowed if they have stolen over £200 worth of stuff.
If it’s less than that it’s not legal to do a citizens arrest.
You can thank May for that.
So, if you do a citizen’s arrest and apprehend the shoplifter, what happens if the goods they’ve just looted only add up to £199.99? Do you (the apprehender) get arrested and prosecuted for assault instead?
Yes, that’s how it works.
Unless of course, you’ve been stabbed, beaten up or drug needled.
The criminal has all the rights.
Lay a finger on them and you will be arrested.
The lawyers all side with them.
At least with the gay pride lgblt marching season ending this will free up the police who usually join in with them although they will probably concentrate on thought crimes and pre crime crimes instead of shoplifting types of crimes.

“No!” say the BBC Verify Team “Of course Labour wouldn’t tax meat”… that’s okay then, I trust the BBC … oh, wait a moment!
If Labour’s ‘green’ policies are dictated by the likes of Pwackum and Monblot, then of course they’ll apply an extra tax on meat – and encourage (enforce?) veganism on you and your pets… see the Guardian, for example:
Some of the other ‘facts’ from the BBC ‘fact checkers’:
Labour would NOT take 100,000 of the EU’s asylum seekers as part of Smarmer’s backroom deal with Macaroon, of course not… no, they’d take ALL of the EU’s asylum seekers, and more, as we all know.
Is inflation a tax?… no, of course it isn’t, it was just a figure of speech stupid…
Does HS2 cost ten times as much as it would in France? Another figure of speech you idiots… but, I bet it costs a heck of a lot more than it would in France, because, apart from anything else, land prices here are generally much more, and so much more of our land is built over.
Has the UK ‘decarbonised faster than any other country’? Yes, admits the BBC, but….
Has the UK been the second biggest contributor (after the US) to the Ukraine war effort? Germany has PROMISED more in 2023, says the BBC… yes, but that’s not what was claimed, is it?
The point has been made that while Laurence Fox (ex GB News) was raided by Khan’s Metropolitan goons for threatening to take down ULEZ cameras, ‘celebrities’ on the BBC who advocated joining Just Stop Oil or Extinction Rebellion on their illegal activities, got a free pass. Funny that.
What the hell do these people think dogs would eat if in the wild? Cabbages and grass?
The dogs would not be going vegan, they would be forcibly warped by these total twats because they do not have the choice to eat what they are designed to eat.
This should come under abuse of animals They are sick in their nutcase laughable “emissions” stupidity.
Perhaps we should actually consider feed our dogs on vegans?
Prof Andrew Knight wants sectioning as a gibbering idiot!
I’m not that bothered by GB News to be honest. But how long will it be before repeats of Lewis are banned by some bloody limp-wristed do-gooder? I for one would be very upset. It couldn’t happen- could it?
Recorded Farage on GB News. Flashed through to the end of the recording. Deleted the recording. Farage has “Cancelled” all sacked GB News Presenters and only talks to Jacob Rees-Mogg about the Tory Conference. Sunwack is promising to overturn all of the Orwellian loony left-wing policies imposed by the Conservative Party and the Civil Service on the British people in the last 13 years. But only if he wins the next election. No mention of Communists within the Conservative Government wanting to ban, censor and then sending letters to threaten to close down right-wing media like Conservative Woman, Rumble and GB News.
GB News assembled a panel of “First time voters” this morning to be interviewed about their beliefs, attitudes and voting intentions. They were in the age range 18-22 and seemed to be very well educated at least. What was revealed was extremely worrying, they were all absolutely woke, trans supporting ultra lefties. Totally brainwashed. If these youngsters represent the future then be very afraid.
What’s so wrong about this is that whether she is a fat lesbian or not is entirely irrelevant. He got jail for offending her.
Because she IS a lesbian and she is not slim. He did not lie. He has been jailed for his perceived intent. A new milestone for the Left as they create their Orwellian world.
2010 …. Guy Earle is the stand-up comic being dragged through British Columbia “human rights” hell by two drunken lesbians who decided that his put-down of their heckling was “homophobic”. His trial begins in Vancouver on March 29th. If you read his latest update here, it’s clear that Mr Earle is in a bad way:
The HRC is being used as a tool for personal gain from a group that has no class, scruples or understanding. Of all the Canadian installations, wouldn’t you want the HRC to have some kahoonies? Ah but… this is a make work project for their people, isn’t it? They don’t care that two years of my life is GONE. There is no concept of the damages they cause, the opportunities I’ve lost… Wow, you thought I was bitter BEFORE? Well, now I’ve become so bitter I can’t perform. In a lot of ways, they’ve won already.
Again there are pundits calling for migrants to work while awaiting asylum claim results – as there are a million job vacancies that could be filled.
OK, but what if these migrants have had a taste of getting money for nothing without breaking sweat and dont want to work ?? Or will they be compelled to work ? And if they are given leave to stay they’ll be entitled to all the benefits – which will be like lottery wins to them, so why work anway ? thus creating more benefit scroungers and still a million job vacancies.
Why does no one question this ?
Thirty million join Meta’s Twitter rival Threads, Zuckerberg says https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-66112648
(with a HYS comment: How much have Meta paid the BBC for the week long advert for the new platform?. The answer of course being nothing : the BBC gave it so much publicity because they hate Musk)
Threads could cause real problems for Twitter https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-66118168
This article in particular is the most shameless advertisement by the BBC for their own political reasons.
‘That said, Meta’s boss will be over the moon with how this has gone so far. Considering the bad press he’s got over the years, he is reinventing himself as the adult in the room – the sensible tech billionaire who wants a friendly social media platform.’
The astute BBC reader will realise how quiet it has all suddenly gone since those heady July days trying to ruin Musk’s X by using UK taxpayers money to push ‘Threads’.
What a stupid thing to call them. They Illegal immigrants!
The likes of the ex British broadcaster, 100% promotes and support this country being over run. Then complains that public services are rubbish, and lack of housing. You can’t have it both ways
Mr Sunak is also expected to announce further humanitarian aid for Ukraine and discuss ways Western allies can help the country boost its grain exports.
The Foreign Office has released intelligence which, it claims, shows Russia is preparing to lay sea mines outside Ukrainian ports.
The aim, the Foreign Office says, is to deter the export of Ukrainian grain by targeting civilian shipping travelling through the Black Sea.
– about as lame as it gets… as I understand it a number of “grain ships” aren’t arriving empty to fill up?
“Mr Sunak is also expected to announce further humanitarian aid for Ukraine and discuss ways Western allies can help the country boost its grain exports.”
The BBC seems to think that sunaks idea of banning smoking is The Big Thing . But in the real world it just means that the under the counter cost of fags will go up in those corner shops and that cannabis will get even cheaper . Where I live you can’t avoid it .
Drugs are acceptable and normal now – damaging ULEZ cameras – full treatment … lucky plod isn’t ’political ‘ eh ….. ?
I suspect there is a ban on reporting ULEZ cameras being disabled …
I can imagine the sunak spads sitting around trying to think of some crap meaningless policy which people won’t moan about too much – the best they came up with was banning fags ….
The phrase: Ye shall know them by their fruits (Matthew 7:16) one might rephrase – for the purpose of a news media review as: You shall know them by their headlines.
Faced with a nanny state-like policy announcement, of which Aunty is obviously generally approving, and were it eminating from the mouth of that personality blank slate that is Keir Starmer, would no doubt be cheered to the rafters, nevertheless our BBC can’t help itself but deploy that hoary old disapproving clichéd sub-editorial formulation “Defends”
Defends is of course right up there with Despite in the higher realms of media cant. Any headline including that dread word is relayed dripping with implied disapproval and negativity.
Rishi Sunak defends his plan to ban smoking for younger generation (BBC)
Not that Mr AsI would hold a candle or wave aloft a cigarette lighter in celebration of the diminiative fake-conservative former Goldman Sachs office boy Rishi; he of the Roland Rat ears and dressed in a suit that looks as though it was borrowed from his slightly smaller in stature younger brother.
To the fruits of the press – so we may know them, so to speak.
The Daily Mail honestly owns up to the nature of its other half – content-wise – as being the Femail Magazine – and having established that prenup-like understanding that chaps will be criticised, hen-pecked and diminished in the most shrewish of terms, at all times, the gloves are off: Why it doesn’t matter if you don’t fancy your other half anymore (Daily Mail)
No matter that the big frontpage pin-up pic is: Centre stage: Rishi Sunak with wife Akshata Murty yesterday – and loyalist headlines scream: Pride in family… And an unequivocal statement that a man is a man and a woman is a woman (Daily Mail) – thin gruel indeed for social conservatives. Frankly I don’t see a man. I spy a manlet.
While we’re swapping tales of our press title other halves, so to speak – the formerly patriotic Times labels its Femail equivalent that resides between its sheets as Times2
Sci-Fi literature warns us that in the future everyone will have a number in their name.
Times2 has pretentions of being a little more upmarket than the Femail but those are pretentions – and one expects one might meet her playing hostess and putting out the nibbles at Abigail’s Party (Play by Mike Leigh, 1977): Wotsits with your reisling The crisps and wine guide (Times2)
Inevitably she’s fiesty and diverse – and cares nothing for tradition: Why Naomi Campbell is taking over the V&A (Times2)
The Labour-curious, potential Starmer fan girls at the Times voice (sotto voce) their concern about Rishi’s apparent lurch to the right: Son of a pharmacist casts himself as Thatcher’s heir – Ouch! Casts himself stings like a BBC despite or a defends.
And does one catch a slight hint of the dread racism in the tag Son of a pharmacist?
Son of a Preacher Man Dusty Springfiled (1969)
The Sun in that most economical and concise way of the tabloid sums up for us voters the sad paucity of policy on offer: Rishi: I’ll axe cigs and A-Levels
And then there’s a main headline screamer about football – that might otherwise stand as epitaph for lame duck Sunak’s prospects: They think it’s all over the place (The Sun) – in fact this is: World cup shock… 2030 to be staged on 3 contiments… A bonkers Wold Cup to be played in three contiments was announced yesterday by Fifa (The Sun)
Stop everything. There’s something that happened that upset Liverpudlians. So can we just start all over again? Klopp demands Spurs replay (Daily Star) Thought for the day: We’re happy to replay any game… except the 1966 World Cup Final
And of course the 2016 Brexit vote
Better out than in – a rather polite definition of that saying goes like this: It means that rather than stuffing things (emotions, events, waste, irritants) into your being, I would rather have them processed, integrated, and/or released (Linked In.com)
Cost of Kyiv joining EU… Brussels estimates have shown that Ukraine’s accession to the bloc would entitle Kyiv to about €189bn over seven years, making many existing members net payers for the first time (FT)
Off to buy the kiddies their Christmas presents – 20 bensons – before they get banned ( this is a sort of joke ) …. I hate smoking . The idea of suffering secondary smoke is awful . And the idea of people sucking smoke into their lungs seems insane to me . But ban it ? No ….
I listened the the 15 minute comrade Robinson v Sunak Toady interview . Robinson was on best behaviour . Interesting that it was pre recorded – yesterday afternoon . Can’t blame rishi from not worshipping at the alter of the BBC this Thursday morning .
Comrade Robinson has a fixation about ‘apologising ‘ . I think he asked sunak x3 about apologising for HS2. Maybe comrade Robinson had some childhood experience which has scared him …..
Sunak does interviews like those autocue speeches so it was pretty boring inhuman stuff – no charisma – no humour – no off the cuff – the ideal WEF technician.
Will people vote for him ? Even if compared to the soulless lifeless Starmer ? God who knows – I won’t vote for either . I don’t think it’s worth voting …. I don’t recognise the UK as a democracy …
Should restrict sales of the things to Chemist shops and only registered addicts able to buy them. The thing is though with the Blue Labour Tories promoting open borders for countries which are not as dictatorial as ours migrants frequently do smoke which will keep the need for selling them going way past what might have been expected.
I have no idea what could be the cause and this is a COMPLETE coincidence because there is a headteacher in Cranebridgeshire who has just died of a heart attack too.
Mind you when I was a boy, 41 year-old head teachers were dying of heart attacks all the time – NOT.
If only Lawrence Fox had suggested covering ULEZ camera in battery acid……….what fun we would then have had if the police had come calling on him and not Jo Brand.

Sunak’s conference speech, introduced by his wife, contained some news, although no surprises. Guido gives you the main points…
No tax cuts
Bashed Starmer for “just banging on about Europe”.
Rest of HS2 cancelled in favour of £36 billion worth of “Network North” projects.
HS2 will go to Euston
£2 bus fare cap in England will remain
New Zealand-style smoking ban, so a 14 year-old today will never legally be allowed to buy a cigarette.
On vapes, “looking at flavours, packaging, point-of-sale displays and disposable vapes”.
Sunak “won’t be bullied into believing ‘people can be any sex they want to be”.
Double student medics and also reform “workflows” of the NHS.
No more “rip-off degrees” at universities.
A-Levels scrapped, new “Advanced British Standard” to “bring together A-Levels and T-Levels into a new, single qualification”. which will see students studying maths and English till age 18.
Teachers of “key subjects” to receive tax-free bonuses of up to £30,000 over the first five years of their career.

If Mr Fox is charged and sent for trial, I hope there is the biggest street protest in UK history around the court.
It is the only language these goons will understand.
They have to be stopped by the sheer power of Joe Public as their selective hounding and silencing of people they disagree with will keep getting worse as they push to impose their Marxist police goon state agenda.

Man forced to sell home for HS2 has ‘lost everything’
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-manchester-67006024
Why do I say that?
Because this story was true whether Sunak cancelled HS2 or not. It had already happened. So why did the BBC not show this story yesterday? Last week? Last month? Last year?
It can only be because they
a. Supported HS2 irrespective of taxpayer-funded cost and therefore deliberately suppressed negative stories about the project while it was still live; and
b. Have embarrassing the government as a primary aim irrespective of the validity of any given decision or policy.
Guilty as charged, I suggest.

The Trial of Hussein Khavari (murdered Maria Ladenburge) Becomes Even More Sordid {gatesofvienna.net sep2017}
BBC Last Touched on this story “Afghan murder suspect in Germany was jailed in Greece (convicted of attempted murder in Greece)” {bbc.co.uk dec2016}
Germans were outraged by the murder of Maria L, a student in Freiburg who volunteered for a refugee charity.
He was given a 10 year-sentence but was apparently freed after about 18 months.
LAWS!
He was given a 10 year-sentence but was apparently freed after about 18 months.

Neil Oliver: ‘…unforgivable!’

Thoughtful,
I quoted the law regarding Conspiracy above in an earlier posting.

I see ShenSmith’s blog equivocates, flubs and advertises services around the Farage banking ban business….

A Satire about Evil Traitors, by Richard Pinder

They *never* look at themselves ….

That too, may be a criminal offence.

Would Labour tax meat? And other Conservative claims checked
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-66993211
“No!” say the BBC Verify Team “Of course Labour wouldn’t tax meat”… that’s okay then, I trust the BBC … oh, wait a moment!
If Labour’s ‘green’ policies are dictated by the likes of Pwackum and Monblot, then of course they’ll apply an extra tax on meat – and encourage (enforce?) veganism on you and your pets… see the Guardian, for example:
https://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2023/oct/04/worlds-dogs-going-vegan-would-save-more-emissions-than-uk-produces

What the hell do these people think dogs would eat if in the wild? Cabbages and grass?
The dogs would not be going vegan, they would be forcibly warped by these total twats because they do not have the choice to eat what they are designed to eat.
This should come under abuse of animals They are sick in their nutcase laughable “emissions” stupidity.

The BBC seems to think that sunaks idea of banning smoking is The Big Thing . But in the real world it just means that the under the counter cost of fags will go up in those corner shops and that cannabis will get even cheaper . Where I live you can’t avoid it .

I suspect there is a ban on reporting ULEZ cameras being disabled …
