In the USA the grasping bureaucrats are trying to directly tax unrealised gains in asset value.

So, theoretically, if your house increases in value they want a proportion of any valuation increase immediately – not just when you sell it.

Unsurprisingly – no comment about assets that lose value due to government antics even…

Update on this racist twat actress:

“Sarandon stoked outrage by claiming at a pro-Palestine protest on November 17 that frightened Jews ‘are getting a taste of how it feels to be Muslim in America'”

“Among those who clapped back at Sarandon is Asra Nomani, a Pakistani refugee who responded to Sarandon on Twitter with a list of the freedoms she and her parents enjoy in the US.
United Talent Agency cut ties with Sarandon yesterday.

Sharing a photo of herself with her parents, Nomani said: ‘Hi there Susan Sarandon, this is my mom, my dad and me on the rail trail in Morgantown, West by God Virginia. Let me tell you what it means to be Muslim in America.

‘My dad didn’t have to become a second-class indentured servant to one of the many tyrants of Muslim countries that use immigrants from India, like my family, as essential slaves…my dad got a job as an assistant professor of nutrition.

‘He got rejected first for tenure but being Muslim in America meant he got a right like everybody got — his right to appeal and guess what? He won and he became a full professor.

‘My mom? Being Muslim in America meant she got to live FREE with the wind in her hair, like Masih Alinejad fights for women in the Muslim nation of Iran to be able to enjoy.’

She went on to describe how she was able to give birth safely and freely to a baby out of wedlock in America – something that would have led to her death in some Muslim countries. ”

What we know about the hostages in Gaza
By Emma Pengelly and Jamie Ryan, BBC Verify

Neither Israel nor Hamas has provided an official list of those hostages being held in Gaza.
The Israeli authorities have notified some of the relatives of those being held, while others who believe friends or family members are among the hostages have not been officially informed.
BBC Verify has been able to identify more than 200 of those taken on 7 October by analysing Hamas-affiliated channels, social media posts from family members of those taken, reports in international media and by speaking to relatives directly.
Thirty-nine of the hostages identified are 18 years old or younger. A baby boy called Kfir Bib, who is less than a year old, is believed to be the youngest.
We also have the names of 56 female hostages aged 19 or over. The oldest is an 85-year-old grandmother called Yafa Adar. The deal reached between Israel and Hamas is expected to see the release of 50 women and children held in Gaza.
In return, 150 Palestinian women and children held in Israeli jails are to be freed. A four-day pause in fighting has also been agreed to allow humanitarian aid into Gaza.
You can read stories of some of the hostages here.

So, three to one? And why were these Palestinians in jail? Errant paragliding?

And, Champion… not a ceasefire. Plenty more death to conduct with 150+ hostages still held.

There is a follow up from a staffer on the ground.

Hope and anger as southern Gaza receives news of truce
          Adnan al-Bursh

          BBC Arabic, reporting from Gaza
Jabaliya refugee camp in northern Gaza
          Firas al-AjramiCopyright: Firas al-Ajrami
The Jabaliya refugee camp in northern Gaza has been one of the areas heavily hit by Israeli bombardment
Mixed emotions can be felt here in the south of Gaza as residents receive the news of the temporary ceasefire deal that has been reached between Hamas and the Israeli army.

Initial feelings of relief and optimism were dampened by anger. The conditions of the truce prevent those who have fled from the northern parts of the Gaza Strip from returning to their homes to check on them.

“What is the point of this agreement if we are not able to go back to the north to find out what happened to our homes and residential areas?” They tell me, visibly frustrated and heart-broken.

Hundreds of thousands of people have fled to the south since the beginning of the war. Many of them want to move back to their homes and to also support their neighbours and friends, some of whom have lost the majority of their family members.

Meanwhile, continuous heavy bombardment has been felt across the Gaza Strip since last night. The Hamas-run government has announced that some 200 people have been killed in continuous airstrikes over the past 24 hours.

People here are exhausted and completely devastated after living through 46 days of non-stop fighting and intense bombardment.

However, a glimmer of hope has emerged after the ceasefire was announced, and people hope that this short-term agreement could be extended to deliver a longer lasting truce.

Adnan not so worried about the hostages then? Rather whether the milk got cancelled.

The BBC just keeps on digging that hole….

TWatO Watch #1 – where is Mishal and her proportionality when you need her?

Sarah, slightly obsessed with rubbishing the Chancellor’s tax because Hunt has not given her anything off her high tax levels (do I correctly recall that the Montacutie was caught by HMRC a while back for some tax evasion?) mentioned that there was no news on the release of hostages by Hamas terrorists.

It would appear that Hamas are getting the best of the deal, 50 hostages in exchange for 150 Palestinian women and children from prison in Israel where they may have been sentenced for killing Israelis. It turns out the Palestinian ‘children’ may be teenagers (age not verified – deliberately? – by the BBC) and no doubt if teenagers and males a uniform and weapons will be supplied so they can join the fight against the IDF.

See what I mean about Mishal and her proportionality?

A joint terrorism task force (JTTF) is investigating the incident, the New York governor said.

“At my direction, New York State Police is actively working with the FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force to monitor all points of entry to New York,” Kathy Hochul said. ‘

Oh dear. Seems like a terrorist plot from Canada to attack New York on Thanksgiving. I’ll assume by the BBC’s omission of any description of a possible terrorist link that they weren’t far-right.

The plan will be to get most people aware of the story and unlikely to read it again before they edit it to include the truth.

In the Telegraph letters page. A complaint to the DT editor from the BBC itself from its pensions dept…

    BBC’s pension plan

SIR – Your report, “BBC crisis over £1.7bn pension bill for stars”, (November 4), is incorrect and significantly inflates the BBC’s obligation to fund its defined benefit pension scheme shortfall and employer contribution rate.

The BBC’s annual report and accounts of 2022-2023 state that the most recent triennial actuarial valuation of the scheme – on April 1 2022 – shows a funding shortfall of £841 million in total. The valuation is required by law and the figure is assessed independently by a pension specialist, and has also been reviewed by the National Audit Office… (edited)

…The defined benefit pension scheme was closed to the BBC’s new joiners in 2010. We are awaiting a hearing at the Court of Appeal to clarify what options are available to us for the future of the scheme.

    https://twitter.com/jacksurfleet/status/1720559820766355471

BBC will deny anything and everything. Especially if its true.
After all they have to pay the *STAR* at the BBC. Even if they are ‘tarnished’ they still have value – Gary Lineker is a BBC *star* and as you know, paid peanuts. That’s why the BBC is still in debt.

What must be remembered about the pension shortfall is that making contributions will have to come out of licence fees and other current income. This money will therefore not be available to make program, pay ‘stars’ etc. In effect the shortfall will be dead money. The licence fee may well have to be increased to cover it.

“Less than two episodes in and Ms Rose has gone from TikTok sensation, with one million followers, to being declared ‘cancelled’ by her own fanbase following a bizarre outburst at her fellow campmate Fred Sirieix.

On Monday night in the camp the First Dates host, 51, was explaining his eye-sight was bad and lightheartedly joked it was because he was old enough to be her father.

The following morning she attacked him and said: ‘You turned around to me with an attitude and said, ‘You know I could be your dad, right?’ I don’t care how you said it to me, it’s disrespectful and I don’t want to talk to you. I don’t want to be around you.’

Visibly upset, the Maitre’d said: ‘If I made a faux pas, unwillingly, unconsciously, I am sorry. That’s all it was. I only said that in a way because I am older than you, I am 51 and you’re 26.’

She then fired back that he was ‘little girling’ her and accepted his apology but refused to eat any food he cooked or speak to him for the rest of the time there, ‘We’re not friends,’ she said.”

more and more hate crimes from the Pro-Palestine supporters on Armistice Day are being realized as pictures and videos begin to get posted online.

Pro-Palestine supporters who protested on Armistice Day are now being searched for by police for various hate crimes.

Some Pro-Palestine supporters were dressed as Hamas Terrorists.

Other Pro-Palestine supporters were waving racist placards, including the Jewish Star of David as a Nazi Swastika.

Another Pro-Palestine supporter displayed a placard showing a “Jewish snake” strangling the world.

Another Pro-Palestine supporter displayed a placard racially attacking ethnic minority politicians (calling them “coconuts”).

I’m sure more will be discovered over the approaching hours and days.

Some Pro-Palestine supporters even decided to use Armistice Day to target Jewish families outside synagogues, with reports of police having to escort Jewish families in groups for their own protection and safety.

Social media footage showed protesters spraying green smoke, waving Palestinian flags and shouting from cars in north-west London

We’ve recently seen Gaza Palestinians commit the biggest mass murder of Jews since the Holocaust. Less than 24 hours later, Pro-Palestine supporters were on the streets celebrating and shouting “Free Palestine” (before any Israeli retaliation).

Pro-Palestine supporters in France are marking Jewish homes with the Star of David to highlight where Jews are, similar to the Nazis in 1930s Germany.

Pro-Palestine supporters in Russia have violently attacked an airport following the landing of an aircraft from Israel, literally hunting for Jews to attack.

Pro-Palestine supporters in Britain are cruelly soaking mice in spray paint and throwing them into restaurants in order to damage businesses they think support Israel.

Pro-Palestine supporters have been tearing down posters of missing Jewish children kidnapped by Hamas.

Pro-Palestine supporters in London aggressively attacked an Israeli supporter, surrounding him and screaming abuse before police stepped in to protect the individual.

Pro-Palestine supporters have attacked a man in Trafalgar Square because he held a sign calling Hamas terrorists.

Pro-Palestine supporters have attacked British police with fireworks.

Pro-Palestine supporters have vandalized a cenotaph war memorial in Rochester.

Pro-Palestine supporters in Bristol are forcing children to miss school and chant slogans associated with the extermination of Israel and Jews.

Pro-Palestine supporters have attacked an elderly army veteran selling poppies, punching and kicking him until others rescued him from the Pro-Palestine mob.

Pro-Palestine supporters at Charing Cross have displayed the Nazi Swastika.

Pro-Palestine supporters in London are targeting Jewish children, throwing red paint over their schools in order to frighten and intimidate Jewish families.

Pro-Palestine supporters in London (and across the world) have spent weeks angrily marching for Israel to ceasefire and leave the racist, mass murdering, genocidal Hamas terrorist group in power over Gaza.

The system will kill Wilders – either politically or physically – any challenge to the Reich EU or Islam must be destroyed – it’s the way things are and unless Islam is fought will destroy what’s left of our western way of life – aided by the already subverted BBC ..

Here is my own economic analysis of yesterdays Autumn Statement by the Tories.

We are by the opinion of most financial commentators, on the cusp of another great financial crisis with insolvent banks and problems in the automotive and property sectors. We are also facing high inflation in much of the West with rising interest rates and increased government profligacy.

Giving away tax money going into this economic storm will have the following effects. Inflation is likely to be kick started again because of the increased liquidity. The pound has fallen quite sharply as a result making imports more expensive and pushing up inflation again. The government defeceit will increase and bond yields are going to rise – that is providing that they don’t go into another type of Liz Truss style meltdown.

The time for this budget was at the bottom of the economic cycle not where we are now.
So, from an economic point of view it’s not a good budget at all.

As for the budget – the blue labour put the red labour into a box ( which is just swamp nonsense ) but failure to increase income tax thresholds is going to suppress those trying to earn more money ….

Apparently failing to uprate’public services to meet inflation -means a real term reduction of 19 billion which can only be a good thing

We are extremely exposed to any further ‘black swan ‘ event such as bank failures …

How could we forget that day Jacob Rees-Mogg crossed swords with sparring partner David Dimbleby on Question Time, throwing down his gilded gauntlet to call out the BBC man over the prevalence in BBC reporting of the phrase ‘despite Brexit

For good measure Rees-Mogg then slapping the denialist Dimbleby across the mush with that old chairman’s trick of ask the audience.

“We’re out!” had gone up Dimbleby’s battle cry to the complacent sleepy Remainers, as their awakening call to arms on the morning after. And the rest is history.

But at least the preposition ‘despite‘ was revealed as our media watchword of the decade.

The BBC likes the pound shop Guardian, the mid-wit bullet point festooned, multi-coloured victory of graphics over design that is the frontpage of the left-leaning ‘i’ newspaper, as its top pick in the BBC online press line-up this morning.

Tax burden to hit record high despite 2p cut for millions (‘i’)

Did someone say there was a budget statement yesterday? Better pop the FT in as runner up in the BBC online press line-up.

Tax burden surges despite Hunt cuts (Financial Times)

From HS2 to the Benefits bill, via Net Zero, the Ukraine war and Lockdowns… I’m struggling to recall a single avenue of government spending where our mainstream media didn’t cheer on, push for more, or bemoan any tentative cutback.

In spite of loving the spending in all its forms the Fourth Estate now pretend to wail for tax cuts. What would they have the government do… print more money?

    That’s how we got here – inflation-wise.

To summarise – the two national dailies that prefer the word ‘despite‘ in their headlines are prefered by our BBC. Their own press review header, perhaps still feeling somewhat chastened by that gentlemanly thrashing from the Mogg, deploys instead a rather blunt ‘but‘: Newspaper headlines: ‘Happy N.I. Year’ but ‘tax burden to hit record high’

And so we put this one to bed passing over Matt’s comic sketch of a Santa admonished to look for work on the other 364 days a year. The Telegraph’s in-house cartoonist riffing on the notion that Hunt is trying to nudge benefits claimants back to work. As if that’s going to happen. As if employers will consider our gimpy work-shy pasty duvet and gogglebox-loving locals when meanwhile there’s the door propped wide open to mass third world immigration. And no externalities like healthcare, education or housing for the corporations to pay for as part of the so-called living wage.

Dark comedic cartoon humour instead comes care of the Guardian – hardly one’s first port of call for an early morning smile I hear the audience protest. Unintentional humour, I insist.

Beside the masthead title the Gruan presents their teaser for a budget special: Autumn Statement what it means for you

And we have a cartoon sketch of a presumably Guardian-reading average family gathered – not on the Clapham omnibus but on the (no doubt DFS) sofa. Firstly, let’s allow a little kudos for the fact that the couple are at least hetrosexual – him black, her white, obviously. Eldest son distracted by his mobile, tracksuited and baseball cap reversed. Good luck with that job interview and getting hisself off benefits if he turns up looking like that. Second younger child is female and she plays enthusiatically with a toy dinosuar. I forsee a bright future career in science for the lass – co-authoring research papers that tell us Britain has been structually racist since Triceratops stalked the Cotswolds – and temperatures have been getting steadily hotter ever since, despite the Ice Age, or some such.

Dutch election: Anti-Islam populist Geert Wilders wins dramatic victory
    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-67504272

‘Before the vote, the three other big parties ruled out taking part in a Wilders-led government because of his far-right policies. ‘

‘The left-wing alliance under ex-EU commissioner Frans Timmermans has come a distant second with 25 seats, according to a forecast based on 94% of the vote.

He made clear he would have nothing to do with a Wilders-led government, promising to defend Dutch democracy and rule of law.’

Implying Wilders won’t then BBC ?. The irony of quoting someone refusing to have anything to do with a democratically elected leader whilst promising to ‘defend democracy’ is clearly lost on this BBC activist.

‘Nationalist and far-right leaders around Europe praised his achievement.’. Anyone else praise him BBC ?. Or just the ones you hate ?.

And isn’t it amazing how anyone on the right is downplayed and given no chance by the Left before an election. I wonder if it’s simply to starve them of positive publicity or it’s the fascist Nazi effect of the Leftist media where people dare not say what they really think for fear of being singled out for it.

In any event, this all shows just how much the BBC hate democracy when they don’t like the result.

Here’s the BBC reporter behind it:

Ridiculous. Another narcissistic BBC activist on the licence fee payers teat. If the BBC had any professionalism left in it’s news, they would not allow it.

So Wilders has won. Will the liberals be able to neuter him as they have at least partially done with Meloni? Even if they do partially succeed this result will increase the pressure on the EU to really clamp down on Muslim immigration and on Islamification. We see anti Islamic parties ( they sometimes claim they are not anti Islamic but voters know they are) vying for power in Germany, France,Spain and Sweden, the heart of the EU.
I don’t think that even the sinister globalists will be able to successfully fight on all these fronts. The people of Europe have been pushed too far and are now , at last, pushing back.
If the EU does reform, becomes more democratic, returns powers from the centre to the nation states, clamps down on immigration, abandons the aim of ever closer Union and becomes a free trade block of friendly nations , we should consider rejoining . Let’s see what happens in the next couple of years !

If (please God) Wilders does become Dutch PM how would it be possible for our gutless parliament to refuse him entry to our country? I mean, every other blighter washes up here…They would be forced to accept him and kow-tow to a foreign leader, just as they do to the head of China. Oh joy…

The media wouldn’t know how to handle it, though no doubt the BBC and the equally poisonous Sky News would make much use of the term “far right.”

Chancellor Jeremy Hunt is on a factory visit ‘ooop Nawth’, no doubt to see how his capital investment changes are working and ‘creating growth’. Cynic? Moi? I could not possibly comment. Fortunately, the BBC’s current Political Editor, Chris Mason, was on hand to talk to the BBC’s Political Editor before last, Nick Robinson, while the Chancellor found a good old land line on which to call the BBC.

The Beeboids are really upset that, thanks to the largesse of Licence Fee taxpayers, they are victims of ‘fiscal drag’. Their ever increasing incomes, thanks to the Telly Tax, mean that the Editor Beeboids are now edging dangerously close to the Top Income Tax rate if they are not already in it. The cuts in NI rates will not come close to to compensating them, if at all.

Therefore much speculation on the timing of the next General Election from Chris and Nick. Eventually, Nick did get to talk to the Chancellor but he did mention his tax burden quite a lot. Poor old Nick!
