Everywhere you look – finance, industry, health policy, physical infrastructure, climate bollocks, culture, society, culture wars, gender nonsense, civilised behaviour, law & order, policing, the justice system, immigration, politics, the Civil “Service”, broadcasting and the MSM, etc etc etc., ad naueseam – EVERYTHING is broken.

We have a particularly light-weight, low-quality bunch of no-hopers in Parliament at the moment, on all sides. It always been pretty poor, but by the standards of today’s pygmies, previous generations of politician look positively statesman-like. The inability, or more likely – unwillingness, of those with some power to make sensible decisions about ANYTHING (esp health-related issues – talking Covid here – or the climate non-problem) is almost inexplicable. A cause for despair.

It’s just impossible to understand how & why it can all have gone so wrong, and so FAST. And what we can do about it?

At the end of it, society IS us, and collectively it’s UP TO US to fix it. But how….? That’s the question.

Nor is that a rhetorical question. It’s genuine enquiry. I’m stumped.

I saw that another dual nationality Israel / British had been killed fighting Islamic Hamas in Gaz . According to Wiki these are the casualty numbers for Israel since 1 December – numbers I haven’t mentioned on the BBC

“ As of 1 December, around 1,332 Israelis have been killed since 7 October (inclusive),[8] including 395 IDF soldiers, 10 Shin Bet agents and 59 police officers,[9] and at least 1,271 have been wounded.[10] The casualties also include approximately 70 dead or missing Arab-Israeli citizens, many of whom are Negev Bedouin”

The above is not verified …

Today being Monday. The BBC want you to pay more money for its extensive news service. The TV license is unique in that the poor UK pensioners have to pay for its global reach in proclaiming the planet is doomed, socialism is trendy and all immigrants on rubber boats are Brain Surgeons escaping persecution from the EU, France mainly.

So where does all the money go?? And this list means they pay handsomely if you have the left wing credentials and be prepaed to repeat an ‘autocue’ or/ and ad-lib your prejudices, and how nasty they can be are well known offenders of democracy.

Telegraph editorial on the increase in TV licence tax –

    STARTS
The BBC licence fee is expected to increase by around 7 per cent next April. A few years ago that would have seemed extortionate but inflation has risen rapidly since the deal to index-link the payment was agreed after a two-year freeze at £159.

Faced with a £15 increase in what is an increasingly unpopular tax, Rishi Sunak has signalled his willingness to intervene to hold it down. It is now likely that the rise will be held to the September consumer price index rate of inflation of 6.7 per cent, rather than the higher 12-month average of about 10pc. That means the licence fee would rise by £10.65 to £169.65 per year.

But the real issue is not how much the fee should be going up but how long it can last. It is apparent to everyone that the way we consume our media has changed irrevocably. Newspapers are now read more online than in print and the industry has had to adapt to this reality.

But the BBC remains wedded to a funding model first set down almost 100 years ago, paid for through a licence fee levied on owners of television sets whether they watch the corporation’s output or not. This is enforced by law, with non-payers risking imprisonment. Yet television audiences are in free-fall as viewers flock to streaming channels.

The argument that the BBC provides good value for money with its TV and radio programming has merit but it fails to address the issue of choice: why should people pay through the licence fee for output they may not wish to see or hear?
How much longer the licence fee system of funding a state broadcaster can continue is the real debate to be had.ENDS

Maybe the licence should be £200 – then even more people will dump the licence …

The original licence fee wasn’t conceived as a licence for any kind of ‘set’, it was called a British receiving licence, and you needed one if you received a signal of any kind.
It was a sensible introduction at the time as makers of radio sets couldn’t sell them if there was no content to receive on them, so they began their own productions, but could not prevent owners of rival brands receiving them.
The government at the time realised there was a need to provide a universal service everyone could utilise, and so began the BBC, however right from the get go there were concerns that those in the so called ‘arts’ tended to have left wing liberal views, and they were acutely aware back then of the dangers Socialism posed to society, and moved to put in measures to prevent the Lefties using the BBC as a tool for they perverted political beliefs.

To an extent they were able to contain the bias, although Reith was terribly left wing and a Nazi sympathiser offering to fly the Swastika from Bush house long after everyone knew what the Nazi’s were about.

Churchill hated Reith and had many long stand up arguments with him concerning his Left wing bias, but alas the Tories now have moved so far to the Left they now see the BBC as a ‘far right’ organisation! The safeguards have gone and the corporation is free to peddle what ever Leftist filth it desires with complete impugnity.

      A bit deep.
Basically you only legally need a TV License if you watch or record programmes which are broadcast live.

Of course f you watch live broadcast tv and the enforcers , Capita, catch you doing it and can prove that you did , via a photo , then you may get fined.
But they have to be able to prove their case via a photo or an admission on your part or seizure of recording equipment with programmes on it.
They have no right of access to your home or property without a warrant signed by a magistrate and in the company of a police officer, which of course they hardly ever get.
If they do knock on your door and ask to come in for a chat , say no and close the door.
I was visited in 2022 went through the above and closed the door They slipped a standardised note through my door reminding me that I needed a license ,£1000 fine etc etc. i already have thirty or so of those.

If l heard it correctly Yvette Cooper was given a platform to go on and on about immigration on the BBC today programme this morning. I don’ t disagree with a lot of what she said. My problem is hearing it from her…a pity nobody on the BBC pointed out that she sat silently in the Labour cabinet which allowed mass immigration from eastern European new EU member states in 2004.
She was part of the Labour government that grandly announced that they thought only about 12,000 people would come here( all other EU countries imposed transitional arrangements ) but this utter incompetence is apparently to be forgotten.
The net result was over the next few years the Labour government didn’t know how many people came here but admitted issuing nearly 2 million national insurance numbers to EU applicants.

Strange then that she has all the answers now.

It worries me that Labour’s friends in the media make no issue, regarding such major topics.
The other problem I have with Cooper and her now re habilitated as an “all round nice bloke media type, Balls”, is that whilst both in the cabinet and running the country they struggled to know which of their homes was actually their “main” home ,switching main residence twice, and claiming the relevent expenses from those”mugs”the tax payer.

All very strange ,speaking for myself I have always known where I live. Can we trust such a person with such a track record in Goverment. The Tories have been shocking but the return of Cooper and her mates scares and revolts me in equal measure.

The Tory party is now fully Marxist and it’s latest horrific proposals for those in receipt of disability benefits prove this.

The latest revisions to the data protection and banking acts went through the commons without the need for a division with both Marxist parties in lock step, just 7 Labour MPs voted against and the 50 or so SNP MPs.

The Bill requires banks to report on any ‘suspicious’ activity although the government has not laid down any guidelines as to what that might entail, nor if they are prepared to pay for any of this monitoring.

It means that now every disabled person is going to have their personal affairs laid bare for the government and its agents to inspect, constantly worrying about whether they will find some minor infringement to take away their income.

What kind of a cruel inhuman political party does this to the weakest members of Society? Well a Marxist one of course, and they have previous form in other Marxist countries of doing just this kind of thing. (I shall link later.)

One of the things Marxist really hate is capital, and the Tories are no different in this. Theresa May removed the benefit for the owners of property financed by way of a mortgage. Since the inception of the welfare state those unfortunate to be out of work had the interest component of the mortgage paid by the state. Because the Tories hate private capital now those struggling to buy a home have to pay punitive interest on the interest component and repay the interest accrued whilst unemployed. Those who are renting have their monthly rent paid for them and never had to pay a penny back to the state.

In the terms of the disabled the issue the Marxist Tories have appears to be that of savings. Of course any kind of private capital is anathema to the Marxist and therefore savings are not going to be allowed.

The Tories find it perfectly acceptable for the disabled benefit claimant to spend their money on fags, booze, drugs, or even prostitutes, but the one thing they won’t tolerate is savings!

The threashold for savings has not been increased in a quarter century at least and stands at a paltry £6K if it had increased with inflation it should be at least double that.

There is currently a backlog at the DWP of at least a year as the muppets are allowing the illegal boat people to claim disability payments on top of the already generous benefits they receive.

I don’t suppose it is any co-incidence that the far Left Socialist Workers Party affiliate David Cameron is back on the scene and attacking the disabled again.

And so we come to other Communist countries and how they treated the disabled. The Left always don rose tinted glasses and project their ridiculous views on past Marxist regimes. They fantasise about a bottomless pot of money they can use for what ever they want and where everything always works out just fine. They also fantasise the weak and vulnerable are cared for with infinite resources, love and care, yet anyone who remembers the Eastern European orphanages will know that the opposite is true.

    https://dsq-sds.org/index.php/dsq/article/view/936/1111

“There Are No Invalids in the USSR!”: A Missing Soviet Chapter in the New Disability History”

The Soviets did to the disabled exactly what the Tories are proposing today, they forced them to work and if they couldn’t work they shut them away out of sight in institutions which were every bit as bad as the orphanages of the same regimes.

It is said that a culture can be judged by the way it treats the weakest members of society, and if that is true we can say that Socialism is truly the most evil regime imaginable that has ever existed on the face of this planet – it’s certainly managed to murder more people than any other cause as well.

There are not 7 million disabled people on benefits! This isn’t targetted at the benefits claimants as a whole, just a specific group, so tell me, why should only the disabled by “examined for fraud” as you put it and not all the others?

The government has zero interest in stopping people like him, as always any kind of new legislation is really aimed at harassment of normal people.

What irks is that fraud on a massive scale is acknowledged but nothing is done to recover the stolen funds.

Sure, there’s limping malingerers and workshy gits but the system we have is manned / operated by complete twerps who seemed to be focused on what car they’ve been given, their office furniture, elf and safety, climate change, equality and on and on = scroungers. It’s pretty clear I feel that the frauds are organized on a massive scale – and nobody is getting their arses kicked or collar felt.

If £8 billion is nicked from taxpayers it simply doesn’t disappear into the aether – why not privatise it / sell the “debt”so that the larcenists are constantly looking over their shoulders. As it stands, if you harvested £8 billion from taxpayers with just zero downside/ consequences – why wouldn’t you go back for more?

It’s a while back but you can bet that the peeps involved are still at it – why wouldn’t they be if they’ve no fear of being caught ….?

Look at the picture they used for the watch article:
      _131921703_whatsappimage2023-12-04at16.46.22.jpg.webp

It’s been deliberately modified to remove any colour and make it half black, half white.

Meanwhile on the right hand side of the article it has a link to the same article with the same picture – but they didn’t edit that one and you can see the person is 100% black.

I can think of no reason whatsoever why they would deliberately do that to that picture except to try and hide the fact that they are black.

The article is written by someone called ‘Tir Dhondy’. Why is it that such a large percentage of these BBC agenda articles have names which are clearly not English in origin ?. They are way, way out of proportion with the BRITISH population in general who are forced to fund them.

He is now in Istanbul, Turkey, and describes how it feels to leave his home and observe Gaza from the outside.”

I was just reading that Eddy.

‘My family and I grew up in Gaza, we were born in Gaza.’

I have commented several times over this guys clear and obvious bias in his reports. Mostly by complete omission of the things Hamas were doing and there is no way he would not know.

Another BBC embarassment removed from the scene. I can understand his family going, but he himself going does not make sense – unless the BBC now has a policy to pull everyone out. It’s more likely he fears for his safety as Israel must consider the BBC as their enemy in this by now.

No doubt he will be much more comfortable in Turkey than any other country that does not support Hamas.

I notice from the same live feed that the BBC and the UN are almost as one now. They are totally on the same page. And it’s not written in Hebrew.

Speaking of a grubby BBC/UN tryst — the UN are investigating possible war crimes including sexual violence… Israel aren’t playing ball because apparently they view it “as biased”, but the BBC don’t say why.

Reasons they might not want to say why might be because the chair of the inquiry is Navi Pillay — a South African of Tamil origin who has some previous. She defended her colleague Miloon Kothari last year who said:

“the ‘Jewish lobby’ controls social media and questioned why Israel was allowed membership in the U.N. Pillay defended Kothari, saying the comments had been ‘taken out of context.’ After the incident, Pillay dismissed charges of antisemitism against the commission as ‘lies’ and a diversion.”

Image selection since Oct 7th shows massive bias e.g. these are on the home page now. An endless stream of Gaza misery… in contrast with the ‘thoughts and prayers’ representation of the Israelis, who the BBC feel no doubt should not look back in anger.

How about updating the BBC logo to include a hijabbed woman wailing? It would cover most of their content these days.

Woke has hit Santa. Wanting to watch something where I didn’t have to “think”, I watched a Christmas film – small town America sort of thing. Normally a huge Santa on the street is ringing his bell to encourage passers by to drop a few notes into his transparently container. Huh clearly not this time it was an old chap in an overcoat scarf and flat cap shaking a few bells collecting money – presumably not to offend other fsiths I assume. Then there was the plethora of non white kids running about and various other nationalities as storekeeper, town cop and bakery owner..All possibly true in mid-west America but I somehow doubt it.

BREAKING: Woman stabbed and suspect has fled
    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/uk-wales-67625811

So a pregnant woman has been stabbed in the street. The attacker nearly knocked another woman down as he ran away and now he is at large. People are being warned to lock their doors.

First reaction is surprise that all of a sudden the BBC are interested in a stabbing. They are quite prepared to sweep them under the carpet when it suits them.

But we don’t get a single word of description about the man who did it. It’s just beyond ridiculous. We are literally at the point now where protecting the ‘diversity agenda’ is more important than peoples lives.

The man may well be white (especially as they are actually reporting it) – but the reason we are not being told anything is because it has become policy not to tell us. And the reason for that is that a vastly disproportionate number of these stabbings are done by Muslims and Black people. Which our own government don’t want us to know because people get angry.
