It’s the 10 pm BBC news. And they are STILL banging on about poor old mathematician Dianne Abbott allegedly being on the receiving end of hurty words FIVE years ago.
Meanwhile spineless Blue Labour are retreating fast and hanging out the alleged commentator to dry.
Ironically the BBC coverage shows Abbott’s comments when first being elected. She specifically references the ‘black community’ with pride. But apparently that’s not racist.
Absolutely pathetic. We are getting to a stage where BAMEs are totally immune from criticism.

The story is of course nothing really to do with racism but an entirely politically-based ploy by the Guardian to get the Tories to repay a large donation.

Five years ago for the Abbott comments and GBNews still had Ashworth, faux indignation, demanding the money is paid back. But Angie Raynor’s capital gain and Rachel Reeves said it was time to move on and the MSM promptly did.

And dare I mention the BBC’s Jo Brand wanting to throw battery acid over our Nigel? Just as serious suggestion as having Abbott shot, but as Jo is a friend of the BBC and Left she can say what she wants.

Debs, Yes, that’s right, lefties rule the roost. If we have another Labour Government I expect a slow slide into decline and the rise of a one world Socialist Government.

I’ve had the Irving Berlin song tune playing in my head for the last few days: ‘Let’s face the music and dance’.
        “There may be trouble ahead
But while there’s music and moonlight (moonlight and music) and love and romance
Let’s face the music and dance
        Before the fiddlers have fled,
Before they ask us to pay the bill, and while we still have that chance
Let’s face the music and dance
Soon, we’ll be without the moon, humming a different tune – and then…
There may be teardrops to shed
So (But) while there’s music and moonlight (moonlight and music) and love and romance
(Let’s face the music and dance, dance)
(Let’s face the music – let’s here [sic] that music)
Let’s face the music and dance”

The ‘tribulation’ is on its way.

Deliberately accusing white people of being racist whenever you can is just as racist as anything else. And Abbott has done that many times. As has Lammy. They are both racists.

But not in the BBC Leftist world because those doing that are always black and their agenda is anti-white so we have this bizarre situation where only whites are ever accused of being racist.

It’s hypocrisy and double standards on an epic scale. The same scale of how pathetic Sunak has turned out to be. Maybe he can become the first BAME Archbishop of Canterbury after he leads the Tories into oblivion later this year and then the REAL disintegration of our country starts.

      Sluff,
You need to be considerate of those who , like dear Dianne, are a bit short in numeracy department.
Ten is the number of fingers and thumbs on both hands.
Five is the number of fingers and thumbs on one hand.

As a little exercise can you tell us how many sets of five there are in ten?

This situation highlights the complexities surrounding discussions of race and politics. It’s crucial to address concerns of racism seriously, but it’s equally important not to overlook instances where political agendas may be at play. Striking a balance between accountability and fair treatment for all individuals is essential for fostering a truly inclusive society.

A more practical solution would be for the met plod to be removed from control by a Muslim and put back under the Home Secretary – to fire the woke senior command and get someone able to protect Jews in London and protect London itself from Islam and Hamas …..Islam cannot integrate – it is what it is and exploits weakness where it finds it … and there’s a lot of weakness about …

As the UK police try to crack down on drugs and driving, and especially cannabis, we now have a US/Canadian company advertising cannabis products on national TV in the UK.

Look up curaleaf and you will be blitzed with results from this company.

They are huge and obviously trying to catch the attention of an ageing population of once younger middle class drug takers who are now entering middle age. The sale is thinly disguised as medical but in such a sham way as to be charlatan.

This is all about money and legalising drug taking and makes a mockery of all laws around the use and abuse of mind altering drugs such as cannabis and alcohol etc.

I am flabbergasted by the dual standards that this trend represents. This must surely signal the beginning of the end of Western civilisation where money trumps common sense and society bows down to the nutters and the greedy.

A year or two ago there was Claudia Winkleman and Davina McCall, on separate adverts, in longish monologues advertising CBD oil. Claudia is one of the highest paid women on the BBC. I am not sure whether Davina is BBC or ITV but appears so frequently I cannot think she needs the money.

I am not sure quite what CBD is meant to do. Davina I believe an ex heroin addict so i would think would avoid all drugs.

I know a gentleman who extolled the pain relief from CBD as it worked for pain he had in his legs…..until he told his doctor. The doctor apparently almost screamed at him. The man was on heart pills and the contraindications with CBD were serious. This is the damage that these highly paid drug promoting tv luvvies can cause.

Debs, CBD is used to ease the symptoms of autism and may have a therapeutic effect for Parkinson sufferers as well. It is being pushed by ‘an industry’ that probably has legalisation of narcotics behind it. I cannot remember the number of uses CBD has. A Pharmacist friend was responsible for several Care Homes in her last employment for the NHS. She noted that as she inspected the drug regimes in the Care Home that there were many people being cared for who were of a certain age and who had brains scrambled by cannabis use in the 1960s and 1970s. Some were even as young as in their late 40s!

I’m not surprised, Up2. A senior cardiologist and good friend once told me that many of his patients in their 40s and 50s were due to cocaine use. I learned many years ago that cannabis was 20x more carcinogenic than tobacco and modern cannabis is apparently much stronger than stuff of the 1960s and 1970s. When I hear of increasing rates of cancer, I just wonder. And I know a young man who had to spend 3 years in a psychiatric unit after what he told his future mother-in-law was his first joint. When I hear of the increasing demands for mental health care, people who cannot work because of anxiety issues, etc I just wonder how many are drug related. I have no evidence just an overactive brain not addled by drugs.

As for cannabis – I despise smoking in any form – and the personality disorder cause by regular cannabis use can be ‘good ‘.
But there is the same sort of noisy enthusiasts for use as there is for internet censorship by the parents of dead teenagers who spent too long on social media ….

Time for another game of BBC join the dots.

Biggish story today is the ripoff of pet owners by vets. As a long time owner of one or more cats I am very sure there is a lot of truth in this. Try finding a price list for your local vet.

It stems from the willingness of many pet owners to pay whatever is necessary to keep their beloved pets going.

Here’s the join the dots bit. If so many are prepared to pay so much for the health of their pets………..how come we are so vilified if we want to spend money on our own healthcare, rather than rely on the totally useless nationalised NHS?

A question strangely not asked by the BBC.
Perhaps the solution is a taxpayer funded NVS. That’s National Vetinarary Service.

      Sluff,

I think it stems from the fact that owners now feel they must have pet insurance in order to cover the ridiculous vet bills. £30 just to look at our last Alsation for 2 minutes.

Then – when everyone has to have the insurance – they gradually inflate all their charges. They even take care of all the claims so you don’t even have to know what it cost.

I often smile if I watch ‘All creatures Great and Small’ when they say they can’t make ends meet. The vets round our way are driving new land rovers with private plates.

      • Doublethinker says:

But at least in our neck of the woods the Vets are British with reputable credentials from high quality veterinary colleges, you can understand what they are saying and you can get an appointment quickly and have confidence in the treatment.
I don’t know how much of my tax bill goes to the NHS but it will be a fair bit. What do I get for it? Ever growing waiting times , almost impossible to see a GP, staff I have trouble understanding , serious worries that they are properly qualified ( do they have a good medical school in Timbuktu) and doubts about the treatment.

The two main vets are Italian and absolutely charming, as are the assistants – and very helpful!

We do insure her for bigger stuff too, so apart from an excess, she costs about forty quid a month, which is something we feel is worthwhile!

Government recommends reforms to boost public trust in the BBC following a review at the mid-point of its 11 year Charter

    PRESS RELEASE was January 2024.

    https://www.gov.uk/government/news/reforms-to-boost-confidence-in-the-bbcs-impartiality-and-complaints-system-set-out-in-mid-term-review

I must have missed it. There have been several investigations into the BBC biases and illegal practices (usually internal pay practices) but also a wide range of irregular ‘distortions’ they call ‘News & Opinion’.

At the start of the BBC (TEN YEAR) Charter (Parliamentary scrutiny committee is allowed to comment on the obvious abuses since last Charter review). But its only half way through the current one and its unchanged, since last review and the bias, if anything has got worse since Blair was last in residence.

As its general election time of year and so unsurprisingly we have: two issues highlighted. At last Conservatives, realise they must do something.

    REFORMS!!!!
    (1) Review recommends greater independent scrutiny of complaints handling, improving transparency for commercial media organisations, and extending Ofcom oversight over more BBC online services.

    (2) BBC urged to better reflect diverse views and opinions in decision-making and improve engagement with underserved audience groups, among other key recommendations.

In short. BBC will carry on, OFCOM will not touch BBC, they would prefer to go after GB News! and (2) what that means for the BBC will be more minority interest lobby groups (DEI) which is Diversity Ethnics and Inclusion. More Perversions, Islam, and general weirdness. Anti British ethnics.

The BBC Charter is a thin fig-leaf to ensure that its get the TV license charter to charge the entire UK for Broadcasting services, that we no longer want, need or care for, or even watch more than once.

So its all false flag. No change to the BBC. Untouchable again.
Until the next Charter Review in five years time. Then it has to stop. TV license is totally outdated. It was forty years ago!

These are the new Nazis and they must be stopped. The BBC are 100% part of the problem. They report all this propaganda without comment and all wrapped in their intricate ways of making people believe the truth they want them to believe.

It’s somewhat of a posh people’s edition today

The left-leaning Guardian celebrates with a frontpage pictorial feature: Racing fans turn out in style at soggy Cheltenham – who would have placed a bet on the long shot that our public sector worker-oriented Gruan would don a fascinator for the sport of kings – on school day, to boot

Times and Gruan coalesce as the formerly-conservative, former paper of record, joins the Manchester-origin paper of liberal protest at the establishment in featuring a pic of the leisured trackside posh set at play: The enthusiasm of punters on the opening day of the Cheltenham Festival (Times)

Not that one ought to complain at that rare sight of contemporary women wearing female clothes these days.

The Guardian seems to be on a nostalgic costume drama kick: Under the bonnets Behind the scenes at Merchant Ivory

    Under starter’s orders

The mildly-conservative Telegraph complains: Ladies Day has had a gender-neutral rebrand of the centuries-old tradition to become Style Wednesday, race organisers announced.

One ponders for moment how precisely a gender-neutral rebrand might manifest itself at the race track? Colts and stallions transitioning via gelding-status to end up as fillies and mares?

Were one visiting the Wolf’s Lair bunker – at any date after Stalingrad 1943 – assuming one wasn’t that bloke carrying a bomb in one’s briefcase – one might reasonably be cautious of the reaction whilst presenting the Führer with the latest up to date map of the military position on the eastern front

And so apparently it is these days with our BBC: Ukraine in maps: Tracking the war with Russia… By the Visual Journalism Team BBC News (Last update 21 February)

The FT reassures its globalist audience: China can sustain its ‘communist capitalism’ – there you go Rishi and Sir Keir – there’s still hope for your model for our British economy there… ‘communist capitalism’ can work chaps! Just as it did with Lockdown – China shows the way.

The Mail enjoys a good Royal story – and if the Royals don’t give it to them – they’ll make one up anyway: Wills and Kate should come clean about what’s REALLY going on – or they’ll drown in quagmire of they’re own making (Sarah Vine, Daily Mail) – quagmire… nice word for our media to employ

Even the jokey blokey Daily Star is putting on airs and graces today: Piggy Britain… OINK! End of table manners as we chew with our mouths open & won’t EVER put phone down – what, despite free school dinners?

Who would have thought the tabloid Star would have come over all Emily Post?

When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things (1 Corinthians 13:11-12)

Camilla is a Barbie girl! Queen Camilla’s funny remark as she’s given a lookalike Barbie doll: ‘Taken 50 years off! (Express)

Whereas Princess Kate’s secret cosmetic surgery… – sorry, this comment has been amateurishly photoshopped out of this press review and all major press agencies have issued Mr AsI a Kill Notice

As the Times increasingly aligns with the Guardian, so Starmer aligns with a Daily Express campaign

Starmer will allow assisted dying vote (Telegraph)

A Labour policy announcement somewhat awkwardly juxtaposed today with these headlines: What have they done with our loved ones’ bodies? (Daily Mail); 3 held over ‘£76m care home con’ (giveaway Metro) – two incidents clearly indicating we now live in such a high trust society that we can rest assured that any strict new assisted dying rules will be perfectly observed and well applied.

And finally – the joke story: Scared Diane calls cops… as Sunak admits Tory donor’s attack ‘racist’ (Mirror) – further comment would seem superfluous

    Oh the irony.
On Toady, a lengthy piece with the Archbishop/Imam of Canterbury on the issue of a new definition of extremism. He cites the importance of freedom of speech.

This freedom presumably does not extend to saying hurty words about Dianne Abbott. Which is STILL the main news on Toady.

The BBC editors seem not to have noticed the juxtaposition of these stories. Proof of their true stance, which is to denigrate the government at every opportunity, irrespective of the hypocrisy.

An interesting but missed part of the Abbopotamus story is that the hurty words were in 2019. The ultra left was running Labour. Corbyn was leader, and Abbott was shadow Home Secretary.
But in June 2019 it was OK for Jo Brand to ‘joke’ about throwing battery acid. On a BBC show.

What selective memory and standards the BBC and its leftist friends have.

No, no Marky, It’s the Muslim’s who feel threatened by intolerance. Which is why we are giving them £117 million.

The most important fact about this is that those teachers are not being threatened by a single nutcase as it would be if whitey was upset by what they said, they are being threatened by the Muslim community. Many of them. And it’s the same for the rape gangs.

The difference between why Muslims do what they do and why whitey does what he does is immense. They do it through REAL institutional racism. And nobody dare say it because THEY will be branded as the racists by the real problem in our country : the hypocrite Left.

After all – they employ all sort of pollsters to gather and analyse data about us to Taylor what they say / promise – to steal our votes – or just use postal voting fraud to fix things ….. right joey ? George ?

Whatever the outcome of the coming election – the real turn out – minus the fraudulent postal votes – Maybe so low as to question the legitimacy of the outcome …. Which with a bit of luck will cause a constitutional crisis . We need a lot more of them – and less government.

I vary from well founded pessimism to unfounded optimism on the future political make up and state of our country in particular and of the west in general.
In optimistic mode I hope that the European elections result in a swing to the right and a hard clamp down on immigration, diluting of Net Zero , if not it’s total abandonment and a general reassertion of the power of voters and nation states and less power in Brussels . Obviously the global elite will fight back just as they did on Brexit but the battle lines will have been drawn and the enemies of the people forced out into the open..

We know that if Trump wins the left will practise violent opposition. If by one means or another he isn’t on the ballot or if theDems win by rigging it, the people may rise in resistance . America is bound to become even more polarised than it is now. But again the enemies of democracy will be forced into the open and ordinary people will know that they have to fight if they value democracy.

In the UK Labour will win the election ,the Tories will be reduced to less than 200 seats , possibly even fewer if Reform do exceptionally well. So Europe swings right we swing left! If that rightward European swing can be sustained we might yet be saved by Europe with Reform campaigning to rejoin by the end of the decade.

Things are going to get before there is any chance of them getting better.

Sadly, Mystic Meg is no longer with us. She now resides on another astral plane, unconcerned about our mere human follies. So, with your permission, I thought I’d have a crack at looking into the future.

My predictions will be more connected with meteorological matters than anything else…Now then, let me gaze into my crystal barometer. Hmm…

I predict that at some point during the months of June, July or August we’re going to get some warmish weather. In the old days, can you believe it, I used to look forward to this sort of weather. Oh dear, the follies of youth. Now, of course, we know better.

When I was a lad sunny weather would see me outdoors enjoying the sun, ogling scantily clad young fillies, going on long cycle rides, picnics and rambles. Makes me shudder now to think of it.

These days if it gets close to 75 Fahrenheit (I can’t be doing with this modern Celsius stuff) I cover myself in factor 50 and hide in a darkened corner, watching lots of David Attenborough and fretting about “the boiling planet”.

In my youth a sunny spell would see us celebrating…Newspapers like The Sun would show us “page three lovelies” displaying their thruppeny bits and there’d be headlines extolling “Cor, what a scorcher!” Not anymore…

Now, we’re more likely to see Greta’s miserable mug staring glumly at us, finger wagging and asking us, “How dare you?”

Instead of lolling about on the common modern teenagers are more likely to be found gluing themselves to Waterloo Bridge, or they’re smearing invaluable works of art with Marmite. But be fair, they are saving the planet…

The BBC weather map will display Britain in a terrifying crimson and an ominous voice will inform us that there were “record temperatures”…at Heathrow airport…

They’ll show us forest fires in Greece and dried up reservoirs in Blighty…though how that will be possible after all the pissing rain we’ve endured I don’t know.

So, here’s Psychic Jeff’s prediction for the months from June to August. It’s going to get…drumroll… a bit warmer.

You have my permission to panic…

Just by chance, I wondered if the middle-aged white-duo ‘Doug and Blair’ still talked about gardening on Radio Humberside on a Sunday morning. I am quite certain it gave a lot of pleasure to retired people who keep busy in the garden.

So I checked the Radio Humberside schedule for Sunday.
6-10: Fiona Mills. Lizzie Rose sitting in.
    10-2: A white male
2-6 : Sarah-Jane Honeywell. Laurie Dyche (female) sitting in.
6-10 Dotun Adebayo – a Nigerian bringing ‘community programming’. Dotun is co-founder of Colourtelly, Britain’s first general-interest black internet television station. Which sounds totally racist to me.

So there we have it. Looking at them, there is nothing at all for the ‘traditional’ Radio 2 audience any more.

And just by chance I see this headline from October last year:
‘BBC Radio Humberside sees huge drop in listener numbers’

Why is it that every time the Left meddle with something to force their agenda on it, they destroy it ?. Shouldn’t that be telling them something ?.

“What do you think of the pro-Palestinian activist spray-painting and slashing a portrait of Lord Balfour at Trinity College in an anti-Israel protest?

I think they are pure scum of the earth. And a blatant hypocrite.

These Muslims react like the world is ending when someone damages a single copy of the Quran. They will go on worldwide riots and rampages, murdering random innocent people in retaliation if one person damages a single page of the Quran.

They do this even though there are probably 3 billion separate copies of the Quran circulating worldwide. And more can easily be reprinted if needed.

This was a priceless work of art. It is irreplaceable. It is a portrait of one of England’s greatest prime ministers.

His only “crime” in his lifetime was saying a hundred years ago that Jews should have a homeland like every other religion has.

And because he said this, Muslims utterly despise him. Muslims show day in and day out they have no respect for anyone or anything but themselves. When France started taking in large numbers of Muslims. What was the first thing they started doing? Burning down churches throughout France and beheading Priests inside of churches.

Every day it is a new thing that just shows these people are just beyond evil and live in a world of hypocrisy and double standards. If Muslims want to destroy priceless works of Art and burn down churches in the west. Then they should also accept people can take a razor blade to a Quran and draw cartoons of Mohammed.

This current war with Jews since October 7th has finally shown to the masses the types of people they have let move into their shores. The levels of hatred their way is increasing day by day. And all of it is thoroughly deserved.”

All from Romania.

It’s hard to see how arson, vandalism and graffiti — which the report also notes — would be cost cutting measures for the cash-strapped. But let’s not ponder any other motivation to deface English history and culture, it must be down to the cost of living and Tory cuts, right Guardian?

Say hello to the President of Bangladesh – Wisk Assessments

So many teachers are cheesed off with filling in ‘Wisk Assessments’ every flipping time the kids go out to inspect daisies that the teachers have started to get the pupils to fill in their own forms themselves. What could possibly go wrong on a Cranebridge outing? Well the smart Cranebridge 5 year-old pupil might come up with something like this:

      * Dangerous pointy mountains
      * Drowning in flash-flooding caused by greedy unprincipled developers
      * Skidding on a daisy
      * Being mowed down by pikies racing cars on a river towpath

However todays crocodile of 5 year-old geniuses were outsmarted by a new unexpected hazard:

“Say hello to the president of Bangladesh” said one of the party escorting an elderly gentleman. Further escalation were demands for a photo.

Unfortunately the kids in todays crocodile had not been briefed on who the President of Bangladesh was so they were confused. No way were the teachers going to let the Pres have a photo. He would have had more hope of a photo with a gaggle of girlies in Oman. Does the Pres not know about stranger danger? Especially being a man and all!

Anyway all in a days work and a new hazard to add to the wisk assessment list.

“UK “must intervene” to prevent Pakistan’s persecution of Baloch people. Campaigners call for Pakistan to cease its economic pillaging and human rights abuses in Balochistan.

It follows a conference hosted by the Baloch National Movement (BNM), which revealed details of Pakistan’s extrajudicial killings, enforced disappearances, fake encounters and military operations against the Baloch people.

Speaking at the Geneva Press Club John Macdonnell MP -a fervent campaigner for Baloch rights – shed light on the mounting evidence of systematic violence at the hands of the Pakistani army.

Speaking recently on the subject, Mr McDonnell said: “Enforced disappearances of Baloch political activists, students and teachers has almost become the norm now. Dead bodies of the forcibly abducted are constantly being found as a result of these extrajudicial murders.

Pakistan was treating Balochistan in the same way that it had treated Bangladesh – by looting its resources in return for violence and terror.

Those who oppose the system are “disappeared”

Fresh evidence uncovered by Amnesty International indicates that members of the armed group calling itself the Islamic State (IS) have launched a systematic campaign of ethnic cleansing in northern Iraq, carrying out war crimes, including mass summary killings and abductions, against ethnic and religious minorities.”

“Ethnic Cleansing Is Happening in Nagorno-Karabakh. How Can the World Respond?

The ethnic Armenian population of the Nagorno-Karabakh enclave in Azerbaijan, a largely Christian community in a predominantly Muslim nation, is experiencing ethnic cleansing at warp speed. Over the last week, almost all of the estimated 120,000 ethnic Armenians in Nagorno-Karabakh have fled west to Armenia. ”
