Any mention on the Biased Broadcaster about the ‘invasion’ of the Republic of Ireland by former Cross-Channel ‘Boatmen’?
Could this precipitate the Republic’s independance from the EU?

Angela Rayner now under more pressure to resign as more witnesses come forward to say she didn’t live at that address.
This all follows on from a party in Durham. Surely she must resign.

“”The plan is not working,” the former home secretary said, urging the PM to “change course” and swing to the right.

Ms Braverman, an MP and previous Tory leadership candidate, said there was not enough time to change leader before a general election, so it was up to Mr Sunak to “fix this”.”

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-68961195

    HA HA HA HA!

“”change course” and swing to the right”
FAR RIGHT?! HA HA HA HAH AHAH!

In defeat, Mr Street suggested the fact he came so close proves the value of ‘moderate’ Conservatism – the opposite of Ms Braverman’s prescription.

Mr Sunak will be facing calls from those like the former home secretary, who say he needs to be more radical, meaning that he finds himself pulled in two directions.

Sunak is so delusional that he thinks the best course is to attack the sick and disabled, unfortunately there are a number of thicko’s who support this as they think they and theirs will never get ill or disabled, but this round is the third try of attacking the weakest in society, it failed the previous two and this will fail too as people are not as thick as the Tories are.

There are many issue they could have tackled most of them are going to be too late to have any impact on the voters.

The pretend sick and disabled aren’t the weakest in society, they’re not even the weakest people on benefits- that’s the relatively small number of actual job seekers; who get minimum cash and maximum abuse from the government and public.

Braverman has gone on the BBC and told her colleagues they may all be gone soon . Let’s hope she is right – including herself ….

… I was looking for a list of the top 20 conservative voting constituencies … but couldn’t find it – who cares anyway ?

I think the bbc narrative will now be to push for the election ….

A thought about Gaza as an election issue. Yes, the Moslems have stressed support for the Pallies during this election, but I suggest that were Gaza resolved Moslems will continue to flex their muscles in future elections as Moslems. We have been warned.

Israeli officials are increasingly concerned that the International Criminal Court (ICC) is planning to seek arrest warrants for their military and political leaders on suspicion of war crimes.

An interesting conundrum for the Biden (mal)administration which threatened South Africa with all kinds of sanctions if they failed to arrest Vladimir Putin when they thought he might be about to visit.
How will the US explain a failure to arrest any Israeli named on an international arrest warrant whilst the global thug is attempting to threaten other countries with sanctions for failing to do so?

America is losing status on the world stage all the time now, its star is fading fast and this might be another nail in the coffin if it shown blatant double standards and hypocrisy, or if it does allow the arrests and trial of Israelis it will alienate the AIPAC lobby in America.

On the other hand if they were totally ruthless, they could throw the lot of them to the wolves, wash their hands of it all and claim a new start to those newly opposed to Israel over Gaza.

    Very interesting.

Hallmarks? Wait – don’t assume anything is the normal wordy soup ….

Police in Australia shoot boy dead after stabbing with ‘hallmarks’ of terrorism

Police in Western Australia have shot dead a boy after he stabbed a man in Perth, in an attack authorities said indicated terrorism.

There were signs the 16-year-old, armed with a kitchen knife, had been radicalised online, state authorities said, adding they received calls from concerned members of the local Muslim community before the attack, which occurred late on Saturday night.

The apparently random attack, in the car park of a hardware store in the suburb of Willetton, had “hallmarks” of terrorism but was yet to be declared a terrorist act, police said. The attacker was a “Caucasian’’ who reportedly had adopted Islam.

@ Taffaman Never have been a fan of male voice choirs myself, but each to their own,

the majorty of the music posted tonight has a lot to do with the political situation now, as it stands today, if you listen to the lyrics,

Stick with Bread of Heaven if it suites you.

It might educate you to listen carefully to the below, and others posted.

Music can say things more powerfully that just words.

I could suggest you sit down and write a song about “stop the boats” rather than just endlessly repeating the commnent,

With a male voice choir ?

          Erm, rather not, upon reflection.

Taffman – I wondered if anyone would notice that – since I’m here every day it’s a sort of feeling I’ve had . The bitterness over views about Israel has had an effect – but more fundamentally it’s because more and more people feel unable to talk about the BBC because they just don’t use it at all – or much ( me included )…

WON’T GET FOOLED AGAIN Written by Pete Townshend. Produced by The Who. Recorded on the Rolling Stones’ mobile at Stargroves in April 1971.

    plus ca chage etc

    Lyrics:

We’ll be fighting in the streets
With our children at our feet
And the morals that they worship will be gone
And the men who spurred us on
Sit in judgement of all wrong
They decide and the shotgun sings the song
I’ll tip my hat to the new Constitution
Take a bow for the new revolution
Smile and grin at the change all around
Pick up my guitar and play
    Just like yesterday
Then I’ll get on my knees and pray
    We don’t get fooled again
A change, it had to come
    We knew it all along
We were liberated from the fold, that’s all
And the world looks just the same
    And history ain’t changed
‘Cause the banners, they all flown in the last war
I’ll tip my hat to the new Constitution
Take a bow for the new revolution
Smile and grin at the change all around
Pick up my guitar and play
    Just like yesterday
Then I’ll get on my knees and pray
We don’t get fooled again, no, no
I’ll move myself and my family aside
If we happen to be left half-alive
I’ll get all my papers and smile at the sky
For I know that the hypnotized never lie
    Do you?
    Yeah
    There’s nothing in the street
    Looks any different to me
And the slogans are effaced, by-the-bye
And the parting on the left
Is now parting on the right
And the beards have all grown longer overnight
I’ll tip my hat to the new Constitution
Take a bow for the new revolution
Smile and grin at the change all around
Pick up my guitar and play
    Just like yesterday
Then I’ll get on my knees and pray
    We don’t get fooled again
Don’t get fooled again, no, no
    Yeah
    Meet the new boss
    Same as the old boss”

Lok Sabha 2024: The influencers driving India’s big election
    https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-india-68920953

I knew what this would eb about and I was right. Here we have the BBC still seething with spite after the BJP won the election – and now it’s all because of ‘influencers’ who have been bribed.

First they set it up so ‘influencers’ are very bad :
‘And as politicians prepared to battle it out for India’s billion votes, these influencers were being lined up to play a crucial role in reaching the young, the disinterested and the disillusioned.’

‘But the problem is, whose perspective is she getting?’

‘”Many of these interviews are carefully managed by politicians,” Mr Pal says.’

    Then we get the punchline:
‘In a recent research paper, he examined some of India’s top influencers and who they interviewed, finding BJP leaders were featured more often than opposition leaders.’

‘His research also found an overall drop in the number of accounts posting content critical of the incumbent government in recent years, while the amount of pro-BJP content had increased.’

Then it just degenerates into a straight anti-BJP article and the paid Indian ‘influencers’ line disappears and they quote another ‘influencer’ not even in India – but the tone for this one is positive : like it’s a voice of truth:

‘He cites the video ‘Is India becoming a dictatorship?’ – made by popular content creator Dhruv Rathee, who is based in Germany’

‘”After the video, the term ‘dictatorship’ has popped up more in conversations, and this is something that has never happened before,” Mr Banerjee says.’

So in summary the BBC have picked a couple of people we know nothing about and presented their opinion as virtual fact. We learn influencers are bad when they help BJP win an election but good when they call the BJP ‘dictators’.

But the best line of all is:
‘.. a gentler style of questioning can also blur the line between interview and promotion, says Mr Pal.’
‘”If your questions aren’t holding power to account, then the interview just becomes a platform for easy publicity.”‘

The ultimate in BBC hypocrisy. That’s EXACTLY what they do. I remember Kuenssberg interviewing May with sharp, aggressive questions and plenty of talking over her when she wasn’t getting the answer she wanted and another interview the next with Corbyn which was basically a friendly fireside chat.
