Our globalist leaders in the west have noticed a spot where people are still having fun, so are cracking down hard with exclusion zones, rolling out alcohol bans and dishing out sanctions etc

“People caught drinking outside of authorised areas will be fined between €500-1,500 (£430-1290).”

“the Balearic Islands tourism council, told the BBC that the law … would no longer be needed “in three to four years, if we instil in people how to behave”.

Nudge them into being as miserable as everyone else🙂

Alex Deakin from the Met Office was brought up in the East Riding, so you would think he might have an interest in the meteorology of the area. Telling GBNews viewers in that area they might see the Northern Lights there tonight gave false expectation. There was mostly cloud cover although the sliver of moon could be seen in the northern sky.

Same every year with the Plaeides. Every mid August I step outside and search the dark sky on the advice of the Met Office. Zilch. The only time I definitely saw a shooting star, I was in a desert..

      Deborah,

The Pleiades is a constellation. The best cluster of stars in the night sky. Six of the stars are visible to the naked eye.

What you might be thinking of are the Perseids, a meteor shower in August. If you are in a rural area away from the pollution of city lights, you should be able to see lots of shooting stars at that time of year. “Shower” is slightly misleading though as they don’t come at you like a machine gun. Its more like one every three or four minutes. And if you blink you might miss one, they burn up so fast. When I lived in the country, I used to enjoy standing outside for half an hour and enjoying the Perseids every August.

Some years ago, I was a member of a business club, which held a big breakfast in a London hotel.

I’d leave home around 4.30am so I could get free parking underground in Park Lane, and one day while driving up the Sevenoaks bypass, there was a whole slideshow of these brilliant stars, such that still being half asleep, I did wonder if the old brain was beginning to malfunction…

Yes the Persieds, serves me right for posting late at night. I can never see them because there always seems to be cloud cover those nights. August is usually a wet month.

US says Israel may have breached international law with American weapons in Gaza
    https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-68984999

I’m pretty much fed up with how the BBC present every story as negative against Israel now. It was interesting for a while to study how they peddle their racism whilst staying within the guidelines but now it’s just non-stop activism.

The actual story here is that the USA will NOT stop sending any weapons despite the BBC’s headline yesterday. Instead they’ve chosen to make the headline all about something which a report says might have happened, but there’s no evidence that it did.

And we get this down at the end:

‘The state department also found that Israel did not fully co-operate with US efforts to “maximise” humanitarian aid into Gaza in the initial months of the conflict. It said, however, that this situation had changed.’

Really ? – but I suppose I should have learned by now that when the BBC suddenly drop a story, it’s because they don’t like the way it went. No ‘praise’ for Israel, the BBC just move on to something else.

Quite why Israel should be expected to be such major players in helping the enemy I don’t know. The Palestinians really are their enemy : not just Hamas. More than 70% of them supported the terrorist attack.

The best thing to come out of it all is showing the racism and hate of the Left. But the novelty of that is over. It’s time they got called out for what they are.

Despite all the stories about Eurovision, I was reading that the booing was a small group of activists and everyone else was cheering. What would be absolutely excellent is if the public silent majority all vote for Israel in support.

Just try to imagine the outrage from the BBC (and subsequent politicians after the pressure is applied) if this was the work of the far-right.

The most disgusting of agenda-based double-standards.

I googled ‘Dancing in Israel’ as that poster says and found a video from Al Jazeera of supposed Jews walking on some Muslim graves. There’s only a few doing it – maybe 6.

These are some of the comments:
‘When you see people like this you start to think which category to put them in, this is worst then terrorism and racism this is so low that you would only think to call them is garbage’

      ‘Why are they so evil’

‘Let them sing…they scream when they’re 6ft under ground’

‘Now they can dance all they want on their relative’s graves.’

‘won’t sing on their graves, coz they won’t have any pieces to bury’

All with multiple upticks and no downticks. And all from Muslims (obviously).

Put Al Jazeera in it’s place that all those comments are allowed. Even the BBC would delete them (but only because they have to).

Hooray well done Ukraine. Things are looking up.

Until you remember that this is the BBC who will lie to you without conscience.

The REAL story here is that Russia have opened up another front at Kharkiv because things are going so well for them everywhere else. They will be across the border soon enough.

The exact opposite of what the BBC headline infers.

It’s only at the very end the BBC write:
‘The far-left activist group known as Volcano Group claimed responsibility.’

Why not put that in the headline BBC ?. I’m 100% certain you would if they were far-right.

And oddly enough, no HYS opened for it.

The beeboid kidult scribblers often use the tactic of ‘asking the company to comment’ right at the end of their bits, which seems to indicate that they’re making up the whole ‘story’ first, then hoping they’re going to get some traction.

Once they realise that they’ve got it completely wrong – which is more often than not – they drop the whole thing and gaze at some squirrels.

Someone mentioned the other day that it is a rule for them that when they attack someone, they must be given the right to reply.

‘Contacted for comment’ means they fulfilled their obligation (could have been the man on the gate) and it doesn’t matter if they got no reply.

They are doing it all the time with the IDF now who rarely bother to talk to the BBC now. Hence the BBC can write anything they want, no matter how biased as the IDF had a chance to reply but chose not to.

Your last part is exactly what they do : once a story doesn’t fit the agenda, they drop it like a stone. Aid getting through in Gaza for example. And I’m still wondering if that hospital ran out of fuel at midnight.

Whilst Trump May not be the ideal candidate and certainly not someone who you would want as a next door neighbour, he is the only politician who will take on woke and hypergloalism which are wrecking our world.
His policies are by and large the ones that are needed, secure borders, push back hard against China and Iran, support Israel and its right to exist , seek peace in Ukraine, dismantle the deep state and devolve law making back to the states.
If I were American I would vote unhesitatingly for him.

What to do with them ? Should they be above the law because they are old ? Apparently it’s not the first time for them – done in the name of Green Crap .

They’d probably enjoy the martredom of prison – so maybe a financial penalty would be better . The beverage report mentioned that people would receive welfare if they behaved themselves . Maybe it’s time to cut the benefits of people like these – might be a deterrent – and will save wasted taxpayers ‘ cash …

I think these two old hags should be sent to Gaza for their vandalism and disrespect of our constitutional-law.

Whilst there they should be made to write out the sacred Magna Carta one thousand times in Latin.

It’s the two tier ‘justice’ at work again. If the government approves of your protest then you will be allowed to do what ever you please, but if they don’t then the crackdown will be as draconian as Tianenment square was.

If you recall I first posted about this in regard to the “Not my King” protests around the time of the coronation, and contrasted it with the way the JSO protests were ‘Policed’.

It’s pretty normal in Marxist countries for these kinds of things apparantly.

Yes, Fed, tonight is Eurovision Song Contest night. I actually think you should watch it. Why? Because nothing symbolizes the dying embers of our decadent European civilisation more than the European Song Contest. It has a horrible fascination.

The contest is now not just a million miles but a million universes away from what is was in the wholesome days of Pearl Carr and Teddy Johnson. (1959) You are correct in thinking the UK song this year looks more like the entry from Sodom and Gomorrah. The Irish entry stands out as simply satanic. Most of the songs have lyrics that seem to have been composed during the moment of orgasm. The performances are not so much songs as tribal dances. Tattoos are ubiquitous. As are body piercings. Rings, studs, hoops. I find body piercings repulsive but clearly the acts think that the ironmonger vote is worth courting.

How Israel does is the big question this year. I believe there may be a huge sympathy vote for the poor Israeli girl who has endured all the abuse from the pro-Palestinian fanatics. I hope she wins.

And the voting system is a wonder to behold. Whoever invented it was a genius.

Have I sold it to you yet, Fed?

What a gorgeous day. My local park is aglow with golden buttercups and frothy cow parsley. It makes you feel glad to be alive. Anyway…

Tonight, it’s that annual festival of virtue signalling and posing, The Eurovision Song Contest. Oh dear, it’s not what it once was.

I’m old enough to recall Lulu singing some nonsense about “Boom, bang a bang” and Sandi Shaw with her “Puppet on a String.” Nice, cheerful jingles, which is all they were ever supposed to be.

And of course, we all remember the tasty birds in Bucks Fizz having their skirts ripped off. Blimey, those were the days.

Now however, it’s a long evening of political posturing and posing. There’s sure to be some demo about Israel, someone will have a green issue, there will probably be a couple of trannies and our own delightful entrant, Olly Alexander, is a talentless and repellent little nancy boy, who loathes our national flag and who couldn’t hold a tune if his weedy little life depended on it.

Having made a reasonable post using facts and high level respected opinion as to why the OP had got everything wrong I was met with some SNP type who posted about 20 short posts along the lines of “Jog on ya fud” (what ever that means) have you been sniffing glue?

etc etc. Not a single response with any data,or even structured argument. How can anyone have a structured reasonable discussion with these people?

You are totally correct Thoughtful. They are brain dead morons who seem to think we can be magically independent when Scotland reels from catastrophic mismanagement with atrocious utterly incompetent imbeciles in charge. I seriously believe they are the ones sniffing glue.

BBC’s Gary Lineker says he cries over Gaza. He has never seen anything like it.
    what about the Rwanda Genocide?
    100,000 rapes.
    Up to 800,000 murders.
Pretty sure this was going on when he was alive. Perhaps his thoughts then were more on football.

Pretty much forced by being in a group of people who decided to watch the Eurovision Song Contest.

My take… if I were Muslim I would see it like the end of the Roman Empire but for the whole of Europe, just take it over chaps!

That whole article stinks of the BBC trick where they have simply made the quotations up so it has the right agenda vibe.

They have got away with it big time in Gaza with the natives hitting any current BBC agenda right on the button in perfect English. Now it’s standard practise.

Switzerland crowned the winner in Eurovision 2024

It is with some degree of satisfaction that I see that Israel came third at Eurovision and the embarassing UK entry forced upon us by the BBC came second to last.

It shows how many hate Israel outside the far-Left group-think.

How many times do these left-wing activists at the BBC have to be on the wrong side of public opinion before somebody does something about it ?.

    The BBC embarass us all.

That the UK televote gave 12 points to Israel is an indication that the British people are still overwhelmingly decent and didn’t like the booing and bullying of Israel and the Israeli girl. All the Queers for Palestine and Hope Not Hate types are going mental on Twitter about it and screaming hysterically about how much they hate the UK.

Just to sum up where the BBC are these days:

They chose a gay artist to represent us at the final themselves. The public were not allowed to choose.

They sent Scott Mills – who is gay – along with Rylan – who is also gay – to cover it for radio 2.

To get this into perspective, about 3% of the UK population are gay. The chances of picking three individuals at random and them all being gay is 1 is (1/30)*(1/30)*(1/30) = 1 in 27000

It’s an extremely blatant example of heterophobia. Just as they have blatant racist discrimination against whites, blatant sexist discrimination against males and a blatant bias to stop people knowing the truth about what people do in the name of Islam. You only have to look at the news front page over time to see it.

Why on Earth is this considered acceptable for the National Broadcaster of a white, Christian country ?.
