Quite a few here have noticed and posted already, but it really a bit concerning how these no-mandate morons have decided they own the ball, pitch, stadium and everything else within months of a few folk turning up at a voting booth.

I have been busy today but as things have popped up managed to snag a few URLs. It really is a damning sequence, as the comments to each show.

How is it possible to have our future hijacked by kamikaze idealogues so easily? And with such facile efforts from ‘account holding’ media?

    The propaganda:

    The response:

That nutter was not elected to do this.

The few attempts to raise concerns are lost.

Guest Who – the chacos this smacks of the same shallow thinking which led to the winter fuel nonsense .

Surely the implications for spain – gib- and the argies – falklands will be clear – put on pressure and TTK will dump the flag .
God knows what the inhabitants think – whatever ones’ politics it’s just – just – dumb .

And does a PM have the constitutional authority to do it? Is it subject to judicial review … ?

Ever wondered who dreams up all these idiotic ideas? Democracy is great except that the Government that was voted in by conned idiots, Labour manifestly had no policies. Smarmer and Co seem to have taken the win as a green light to do whatever they please without reference to Parliament or any stated policy. Oh, of course, they never had any stated policies. I would go on to say that I’m not even sure that Smarmer, Reeves, Rayner and co are making the policies.

I think Policies are being made and driven by special interest groups, advisors, Foreign Organisations, Civil Servants, donors etc. The public and Parliament do not come into this. There’s been no public discussion of any of the actions this Government has taken since being elected. Today is just the pinnacle of stupidity with a fait accompli, a huge amount of money is found to build stupid carbon capture systems and the giving away of Chagos. Who are we being Governed by? Not these imbeciles.

Incidentally the Greens aren’t happy with carbon capture either.

By the way Mr Smarmer, Renewables are not “cheap” as you put it. That’s a lie but you’re just parroting what you’ve been told.

Solar panels typically last 25–35 years, but some can last up to 40 years.

The expected service life of a wind turbine is around 20–25 years, but some components may need to be replaced or repaired earlier

          Stage Three
          Building a fixed foundation

Onshore turbines sit on concrete foundations. Depending on a number of factors (such as soil quality, water retention by the soil, the weight and height of the turbine, and so on) the depth of the foundations can vary.

How did a council lose 90 mobiles and 30 laptops?

If the BBC is anything to go on, it might be noticed the time of year when things go ‘missing’ before the holidays has arrived again.

An occupying force is a military that takes control of a foreign territory through military conquest or surrender. The territory is then known as the occupied territory, and the ruling power is the occupying power.

It’s obviously pointless to use facts, reason and arithmetic to deal with this Labour administration.

I just saw this and perhaps oddly, I have read that Act of Parliament several times and the underpants industry’s pin-up boy is talking bollocks. I’ve now read quite a few acts of Parliament and that one is probably the worst drafted I’ve seen – it’s just awful.

    Another braying dunce.

“The UK Government is responsible for negotiating, signing, ratifying, amending and withdrawing from all international treaties involving the UK, under its prerogative powers, and it is the UK Government that is bound by them under international law. It is also responsible for providing information about treaties.1 Jun 2021”

      ……………

The main formal limits on the Government’s treaty powers are that: (1) treaties cannot automatically change domestic law or rights in the UK; and (2) they cannot make major changes to the UK’s constitutional arrangements without Parliamentary authority.

Under Part 2 of the Constitutional Reform and Governance Act 2010 (CRAG), the government cannot ratify a treaty unless it has first laid the signed treaty before Parliament (along with an Explanatory Memorandum), for 21 sitting days. This gave statutory form to part of a 1920s constitutional convention on treaties, known as the Ponsonby Rule.

Committees in both the Commons and the Lords have significantly increased their treaty scrutiny work recently. The House of Lords has established a new, dedicated International Agreements Committee to consider all treaties, before, during and after ratification.
