“Netanyahu arrest warrant shames the ICC and makes international justice a laughing stock.

it`s important to hold onto some basic facts. Israel is a sovereign nation, which suffered an unprovoked attack by a genocidal group dedicated to its destruction. Hamas are terrorist monsters who, on October 7, committed the greatest massacre against the Jewish people since the Holocaust.

Yet for over a year, those who would seek to demonise Israel for defending its citizens suggest this is a war between two equal parts. A warped and convenient view of the universe which has provided easy passage for the International Criminal Court to issue arrests for both Netanyahu as well as ‘dead’ Hamas leader Ibrahim Al-Masri .

This egregious move which equates a democratically elected leader with a blood-thirsty terrorist has as Israeli President Isaac Herzog puts it, turned “universal justice into a universal laughing stock”

This shameful move by the ICC should fire a warning salvo for anyone who believes in a free and civilised society. Since make no mistake. The arrest warrants for Israel’s leaders is now case law for every legitimate cause which fights to protect the innocent and uphold justice.

It goes without saying that in attempting to release the hostages kidnapped by Hamas and to eradicate the threat posed by the terror group a high price has been paid by the innocents in Gaza caught in the crossfire. Of course this is what happens in war. But our common humanity should not ignore that what may be factually accurate is also deeply painful. But fighting a just war is not a war crime.

So much of the ICC`s warrant is not only morally repulsive but factually incorrect. For example, it states that Netanyahu and Yoav Galant are accused of crimes committed from October 8th 2023. On that day, Israel hadn`t begun manoeuvers in Gaza – it was still trying to locate its missing, find its dead. Having been in Israel at the time of the attack I can personally recall how details of what had happened on that terrible day were still so unclear.

What exacerbates the perversity of the ICC are all those who should have been legitimate targets for arrest warrants. Not least Vladmir Putin, as well as Bashar-al-Assad, responsible for over half a million deaths in Syria (including through the use of chemical weapons)

In this morally shameful move, the ICC has weaponised international law in order to criminalise a country which has the temerity to defend itself against a barbaric attack. That it has done nothing regarding Russia and Syria and acted towards the world`s only Jewish state tells you all you need to know.”

The chair of the BBC Children in Need charity has quit over grants awarded to an LGBT organisation hit by child sex abuse scandals.

it gets worse as I read; A bit disturbing as we have been here before with the BBC found funding ‘The London Tavistock clinic’ – just before it was closed down…

Anyway: back to the same game:

‘The chair of the BBC Children in Need charity has quit over grants awarded to an LGBT organisation hit by child sex abuse scandals.

Rosie Millard, 59, accused the charity of “institutional failure” in a letter, seen by The Times, announcing she would step down after six years.

The writer and broadcaster criticised its chief executive Simon Antrobus for his response to revelations that £466,000 was awarded in grants to LGBT Youth Scotland, which supports gay and transgender people aged 13 to 25.

Children in Need started giving the charity grants seven months after James Rennie, the then chief executive of LGBTYS, was convicted of child sex assaults in 2009.

This year Andrew Easton, who co-authored schools guidance for LGBTYS, was convicted of sharing indecent images of children including newborn babies’.

“The Biden administration is loosening some key immigration restrictions ahead of President-elect Trump’s second term, opening the door for thousands more illegal immigrants to enter the country.

Trump has indicated that he could declare a national emergency and use military assets to carry out mass deportations. The Biden administration, however, is taking steps to make Trump’s plans for the border more difficult. The Biden Department of Homeland Security is launching an ICE Portal app in December that will allow migrants to skip their in-person check-ins at an ICE office and instead check in with immigration officials via an app on a phone or computer, according to reporting by The New York Post.

The app reportedly has severe glitching issues and does not track a migrant’s location if he or she is using an Android phone or laptop.

Further, the app does not check migrants for past arrests or outstanding warrants and allows them to opt out of or contest government orders to undergo electronic tracking.

The Post reported that up to 100,000 migrants will be enrolled in the new program’s first wave.

This comes after the Biden administration set the record for the highest number of illegal migrants entering the country in a single year in 2023, with 3.2 million entries. This surpassed the previous record of 2.7 million set the year before.”

BBC presses ahead with Radio 2 60s and 70s spin-off station despite admitting it will harm rivals

The “arrogant” BBC is to press ahead with plans for a Radio 2 spin-off station despite admitting it will harm commercial rivals.

BBC bosses hope that the new station, focusing on music of the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s, will win back some of the older listeners lost to the likes of Boom Radio and Greatest Hits Radio.

Many listeners defected from Radio 2 after it began focusing on a more youthful audience and including more music from the 1990s onwards.

In July, Ofcom ordered the BBC to carry out a public interest test. Announcing its findings, the corporation admitted that the spin-off would have an impact on competitors and in particular “would significantly hamper Boom Radio’s financial performance”.

Boom launched in 2021 and operates with only one per cent of Radio 2’s budget, but has built an audience of more than 700,000 listeners.

However, the BBC concluded: “Having considered stakeholder feedback, our overall strategy remains unchanged.”

You can listen to BOOM radio here.
    https://www.boomradiouk.com

(and I would NEVER, ever listen to the BBC again, as the BBC adverts (for itself) are worse than commercial. Given the choice no contest, and you cannot trust OFCOM to not support the BBC, even if the BBC admits it has tries to stifle commercial broadcasters by ‘copying them’. BBC even admit it, that they intend to copy the radio format.
    Speechless.

We all know how impartial the BBC is and how hard it tries to give both sides of any issue.

In this evening’s “The Archers” on R4, central character David Archer was having a brief conversation with his mother’s gentleman friend Leonard, about the farmers’ protest in London on Tuesday. David said there was real anger among the farmers (presumably about Labour’s IHT increase). Leonard countered that we had to get the money for the services we need from somewhere; he gave the NHS as his example.

Remember: I listen to it so that you don’t have to.

The BBC radio show was developed with input from the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries. Some say that The Archers was a form of civic instruction, similar to wartime posters, and that the BBC was in “Auntie” mode… Some listeners have also made claims about The Archers being propaganda, including:

      Green propaganda
Some listeners have claimed that a storyline about whether Home Farm should have a machine to convert waste into electricity was an endorsement of Labour’s green credentials.

This month, Healey vowed that her state police will “absolutely not” cooperate with the expected mass deportation effort by the incoming Trump administration, warning that she will use “every tool in the toolbox” to “protect” residents in the blue state.

Wu also took a stance against Trump during an interview on Sunday, saying her city will not cooperate with the incoming administration’s looming mass deportation operation despite the region seeing a number of illegal immigrants with criminal charges getting released back onto the streets.”

Stories we’re not being told edition

The Daily Telegraph tackles that all too familiar seasonal conundrum as it asks: Does Lemsip really work?

If only our well-funded, judge-led, officially constituted on-going public inquiry into all things Covid would get around to answering that question for us – that’s after they’ve assessed the efficacy of the mRNA Covid-19 jab of course. Which I’m guessing will be sometime never.

NHS was ‘within hours’ of running out of gowns during pandemic, Hancock tells Covid inquiry – as it happened (Guardian, 14 hours ago)

Draw you own conclusions there, folks.

Meanwhile, bit by bit the elaborate ediface of narrative begins to crack

Covid was ‘obvious’ lab leak, says top scientist (Telegraph) – not at the well-funded, judge-led, officially constituted on-going public inquiry of course: Prof Tim Spector, who helped create the Zoe symptom tracker app and was awarded an OBE for services in the Covid response, told a podcast it was “obvious” there had been a cover-up about the origins of the pandemic

Remember folks, it’s not a conspiracy theory, if it’s true.

Israeli leader faces arrest if he flies into Britain… Starmer vows to back ICC against Netanyahu (Times)

We’ve also promised to nick Vladimir Putin if he ever rocks up in the UK. Seems we won’t be hosting any world conflict zone calming peace summits in London any time soon.

There are those who adhere to the notion that there is a thing they like to term ‘International Law’

Presumably these people imagine the creation of a borderless one-world government and a supranational police force of some form to uphold and to enforce this ‘International Law’ concept which they hold so dear.

‘International Law’ will of course need to supersede and to over rule all and any local laws and customs.

But I say ‘When in Rome, Do as the Romans Do’

That old adage emphasises the importance of adapting yourself to the customs of the people who are in a certain place or situation and behave like they do. And to obey the particular laws of a country in which you find yourself despite the fact you happen to be a foreigner there.

Briton, 18, faces Dubai jail for sex with girl, 17… Marcus Fakana, 18, is staying in rented accommodation in Dubai as he awaits trial (BBC) – you guessed it, he’s black.

We’re left sadly uniformed as to the progress of his premier league football career or of his profession as an architect

Briton faces up to 20 years in a Dubai prison for having a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old British girl while the pair were on holiday in the emirate, a human rights campaigner has said…

Marcus Fakana, of Tottenham, north London, was on holiday with his family when he began a secretive holiday romance in September with another Londoner, who has since turned 18, according to Radha Stirling, of campaign group Detained in Dubai…

After returning home and seeing pictures and chats, the girl’s mother reported the relationship to Dubai police, who then arrested Mr Fakana at his hotel, Ms Stirling said. (BBC)

Our BBC journalists are loath to investigate or to report any details about the girl’s indentity – presumably adhering to the British legal quirk that hides the indentity of so-called children – despite: “…the age difference is so small.”…Ms Stirling told Newsbeat (BBC)

This chap’s defence case would seem to be that the girl was only just marginally a minor, remember.

Do we see the twin paradoxes here? The first is the defence argument that girl was a consenting adult. However, the BBC will tell us nothing about her.

“We are not talking about any abuse or taking advantage of anyone. “This is clearly just a case of two older teenagers, both of them now the same age..”

Secondly, our BBC would appear to support the campaigner’s (lawyer’s?) notion that British laws and customs should trump this foreign nation’s local laws and customs: “This has gone absolutely viral and people just don’t think it’s fair. They are shocked that something that is absolutely legal in the UK could warrant 20 years in prison [in Dubai].”

Despite: The FCDO website guidance states:”If a person aged 18 or over has a sexual relationship with a person under 18 years old, they will be prosecuted for having a sexual relationship with a minor.”

But one doubts this young chap was reading all the small print on the Foreign Office website when he fancied a bit of holiday nooky that happened to be on offer.

The reasons behind the fact that the girl’s mother complained about it afterwards to the Dubai authorities is a whole story we’re not being told.
