It was dull years ago. There would be a press release and then the wheels of government would start to grind. Why nowadays do Judges have to appear on television, whether the UK or the ICC. I find it a bit distasteful.

Labour government claim to be cleaning up! Sadly they are… pigs in troughs…
Revealed: ‘Climate change’ brothers, (more than one family involved, all linked to Climate activists) declare ‘no conflict of interest’ in public subsidies being rewarded with new ‘pop-up’ public corporations of which they are suddenly ‘CEO’ heads of, and who will benefit (billions £)) from running the same corporate monsters to ‘save-the-planet’ – for Labour activists. One ‘Dale Vince’ springs to mind, but there are new Labour millionaires being made, or hope to join the rich club soon as the rest of us get poorer.

It all sounds like a BBC Drama. Except its LIVE and the BBC won’t report it, -in case you may find it offensive!. i.e. Labour Politicians suddenly running private national corporations at the same time as running public subsidies just like the national state broadcaster does. This only happened in books, such as 1984 by George Orwell where a few state corporations run everything badly (like the NHS), but expanded to include your TV License and state run food banks. BBC on steroids, running the country based on Left elite family connections.

GWPF: has urgently reported a conflict of interest to the PRESS today for independent news channels. BBC Verify may decline that any such conflict exists, or names, or the Chinese connection.

‘The Permanent Secretary; Mr Pocklington of the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ) has a brother who is CEO of Good Energy, a major operator in the renewables sector it has been revealed. The DESNZ register of interest states that “appropriate mitigations” have been put in place, and that Mr Pocklington has agreed not to have direct contacts with Good Energy’. But they are two brothers both sharing the same interests and contact with civil-servants. It is not credible that they will not speak to each other about a shared interest in net zero and ‘Good Energy’

The revelation about Mr Pocklington comes just days after it was revealed that Baroness Brown, the chairman of the House of Lords Science and Technology Committee, oversaw the writing of a report that called for immediate support for hydrogen energy storage, despite being the director of a hydrogen company and of a windfarm company,[iii] both of which will reap huge benefits from subsidies. Indeed, the Secretary of State recently announced – apparently in response to the House of Lords report – astonishing levels of subsidy for new hydrogen projects.

In addition, David Miliband, the brother of the Secretary of State, is involved with a company that invests in gridscale batteries in the UK, a sector that will expect to see huge growth under the Government’s ambitious plans for the energy sector!!!

    GWPF Andrew Montford noted:
“This has been going on for at least ten years, right back to the repeated revelations about Lord Deben’s conflicting interests during his time at the Climate Change Committee.[vi] The rule in Westminster and Whitehall for Net Zero people appears to be that it is perfectly acceptable to have a conflict of interest, so long as it is declared, and if it isn’t, or if there are undeclared payments, a blind eye is turned anyway. It’s shocking.””

[iv] Hydrogen companies will get both capital subsidies and revenue subsidies. The capital subsidies may represent the majority of the construction cost of the electrolysers. On the revenue side, the subsidy will allow hydrogen, with a production cost of at £240/MWh to compete with natural gas at £80/MWh. In other words, the subsidy might be expected to be around £160/MWh. £2 billion is expected to be shared between 11 small electrolyser projects.

First, the OVfM will provide targeted interventions through the multi-year Spending Review, working with government departments. This will include conducting an assessment of where and how to root out waste and inefficiency, undertaking value for money studies in specific high-risk areas of cross-departmental spending, and scrutinising investment proposals to ensure they offer value for money.

Second, the OVfM will develop recommendations for system reform, informed by lessons learned from the past, international best practice, and the views of external organisations. This will underpin a ruthless focus within government on realising benefits from every pound of public spending.”

“MSNBC headline saying ‘Laken Riley’s killer never stood a chance’ sparks backlash: ‘Absolutely sickening’.

‘You know who never stood a chance? Laken Riley. The actual victim,’ one prominent conservative commentator wrote on X.

Social media users tore into MSNBC.com this week after it published a remarkable headline saying that “Laken Riley’s killer never stood a chance.”

The digital outlet’s Thursday article discussed how the legal defense team for Jose Antonio Ibarra, the illegal immigrant who was convicted on Wednesday of murdering Georgia nursing student Laken Riley in February, “had no chance” because of the overwhelming evidence against their defendant.

MSNBC’s article made the point that the verdict for Ibarra, who was convicted on multiple counts of murder and other crimes and sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole, was “never in doubt,” as it was a “hopeless case” for the defense team.

“For the defense, this was a hopeless case. The defense did the best it could with bad facts. It almost surely knew it was going to lose,” MSNBC legal analyst Danny Cevallos wrote.

His piece was not received well on X, with the headline going viral and drawing heat from those outraged over Riley’s murder at the hands of a criminal who had fled Venezuela and illegally crossed into the U.S. in 2022.”

Imagine if he or she was a bit of an alleged spiteful type too, showing, according to some, some psychotic tendencies.

How far would this individual be prepared to go to create a distraction, or even to try to make it ‘go away’?

Add to this, you have another leader/vice leader in America , who loses an election.

Meesh meesh – going ? To be replaced by mr Mohammed ?

    From the DT
STARTS Mishal Husain is preparing to leave BBC Radio 4’s Today programme, it has been reported.

The broadcaster has been a presenter of the early morning news show since 2013 but is said to be in talks to step down.

Husain, who was paid up to £345,000 for the role in 2023, said earlier this year that she was “thinking about what is beyond Today”.

BBC managers are reportedly keen to appoint a woman as her replacement and move her to another position within the corporation.

“After 11 years Mishal has reached the point where the 3.30am alarm call is no longer a welcome noise,” one source told The Times.

“She is very highly thought of and there will be an extremely big effort to make sure that she’s accommodated well elsewhere.”

    An interim replacement
The newspaper said Husain was expected to take up to five weeks of paid leave in January, a perk given to employees who have worked for the corporation for more than 25 years.

The report added that it was unclear if she would return to Today as a permanent presenter after the period of leave.

Her interim replacement during that period is expected to be Katya Adler, the BBC’s Europe editor.

Other reported potential successors include Anushka Asthana, ITV News’ deputy political editor, and Sarah Smith, the BBC North America editor.

The Today programme had 5.8 million weekly listeners in the three months leading to the end of September, five per cent higher than the same period in 2023.

But it remains short of the 7.5 million weekly listeners it had in 2016.

Its other presenters are Emma Barnett, Amol Rajan, Nick Robinson and Justin Webb.

    ‘Given me pause’
Husain first joined the BBC in 1998 as a junior producer and went on to be Washington correspondent, a Newsnight presenter and newsreader of the News at Six and News at 10.

In June, she told The Sunday Times that she was considering leaving Today.

“I am thinking about what is beyond Today,” she said. “I’m wondering what the next act of my career might look like.”

Husain won an outstanding contribution to broadcast journalism award at the Charles Wheeler Awards earlier this month.

She told the ceremony that she has experienced more racism in the past year than at any other point in her career.

“That has been hard, and that’s given me pause,” she said.

    Husain’s representatives declined to comment.ENDS

I’d miss her as much as the daily toilet flush ….

I don’t think much of this Milibande green eco thing.

I cycled to the local shop for a bottle of vodka, then I thought… what if I fall off and break the bottle ?

So I drank three quarters of it outside the shop.

It’s a good thing I did, as I fell off the bike seven times on the way home and hit three cars.

Really vexed . The truth about Rachel Reeves insolvent with the Bank of England is coming out now ….. but why now … and not during the election campaign . ? Where were the blues or the reform digging into her ? Her decade with the Bank of England as an economist was a lie – it was 6 years max with 1 year at the LSE and 18months sent off to an embassy …. Her job was in was in retail ….

She was never an economist – and should have to resign for that lie .
