200 Responses to Start the Christmas Week 23rd December 2024

    And here I am : Christmas No. 1 !!!.
Well, Christmas Eve at least if Fed is still sober enough to start a new thread for Xmas day.

    Anyway, my point is this:

Just watching the second episode of the new BBC drama ‘Wolf Hall’ about Thomas Cromwell 500 years ago.

I wrote a comment earlier about how I didn’t realise how many BAME we had. Well – it seems the BBC have done their usual trick of keeping the numbers down for the first episode to get us watching then going full-on agenda. Blacks are everywhere !. One princess had 3 ladies in waiting. 2 were black.

But the cherry on the cake was the daughter of Cardinal Wolsey:
‘Wolsey’s affairs prospered and by 1514 he had become the controlling figure in virtually all matters of state. He also held important ecclesiastical appointments. These included the Archbishop of York—the second most important role in the English church—and that of papal legate. His appointment as a cardinal by Pope Leo X in 1515 gave him precedence over all other English clergy.’

    Here she is:
    hq720.jpg?sqp=-oaymwE7CK4FEIIDSFryq4qpAy0IARUAAAAAGAElAADIQj0AgKJD8AEB-AGmCIAC0AWKAgwIABABGHIgXCg9MA8=&rs=AOn4CLAW66-ZSkNVd2B2NdaSqZk8QyMHpQ

And the amazing thing is that he had this clearly BAME daughter with a woman called ‘Joan Larke’.

Beyond ridiculous, blatant, racist lies by the BBC. Again. Why do people think that the BBC re-writing history for their own far-Left political agenda is OK ?.

I would say ‘Enough is enough’ about this bullshit – but apparently that gets me 2 years in prison under creepy Starmer.

Apart from that, the program is way, way above the quality I expect from the BBC now. So I checked and sure enough they didn’t make it. It was outsourced to ‘Playground Entertainment and Company Pictures’ and I am 100% certain the BAME are directives from the BBC.

The BBC ‘executive producer’ Polly Hill jumped shift as head of the equally woke ‘ITV drama’ to the BBC. She quit the BBC to move to ITV in 2016 and then moved back again. As you will expect these days, it is a woman.
    featured_image_-_900px500px_-_2024-05-09t103122.353.png?itok=Re_RBLX8

I wonder if Polly knows how she has been instrumental in destroying the quality of British drama.

I am reading John C’s first post, and I am watching Wolf Hall at the same time. Cromwell’s daughter has appeared. She doesn’t to be from the global majority (is that the right description?) but she does have an American accent (possibly with a hint of French) but I am terribly confused.

Also a non white detective in new season of Death in Paradise. The diversity directive that has infected the drama and entertainment production companies continues apace. Sod the fact they may not be any good, just get the number of non white actors in to make the quotient required.
Started to binge watch the remake Day of the Jackal. Can’t fault Eddy Redmaynes performance but oh dear dear dear, the black female MI6 “operative” can’t act her way out of a paper bag, then there’s her family shooed in and her boss for good measure. AND it’s not just me saying this. I always check viewers comments on IMDB for films and dramas, and I’m not alone in my thoughts. It’s no longer the best actor in casting, it’s making sure there’s equality in skin colour.

I always go to the user reviews then sorth them by date so you get the ones after the initial positive review bombing.
Of ocurse the BBC only ever report negative bombing for the most ridiculous woke films – but it goes on much, much more to support crap like Dr Who.

          Brissles:

I did not watch this new Death in Paradise. This is a programme where everyone is BAME except the British detective, but no, that is not good enough any more, he has to be BAME too.

The whole concept of the programme is that the British detective is like a fish out of water at first, but eventually begins to fit in with life in this strange Anglo-French island. Take that away and what is the point? There is none, so this is another pointless, woke BBC show I cannot be bothered to watch. It feels much better not to watch it!

The pic is of Wolsey’s daughter, which I agree was probably one of the worst in your face bits of casting ever.
I seem to remember that Jane Seymour’s sister? who married Cromwells son Gregory, is black? So we are really supposed to be colour blind in this instance as opposed to real life where we are expected to be hyper sensitive to peoples racial sensitivities and cultural differences.
        Merry Christmas everyone!

As someone once pointed out, Britain was full of black people (they might even have been the majority) from Roman times until about the middle of the 19th century, when photography was invented. Then, they all mysteriously vanished and don’t appear in photographs until the 1950s. It’s a baffling mystery which BBC/Guardian-types and pretend-historians are unable to solve.

It is believed by experts, that these people disappeared down mysterious black holes that popped up (or should that be ‘popped down’) in parts of Britain. Tory government responsible?

    • Rob in Cheshire says:

I just could not watch it. I enjoyed the first two series, but this has crossed a line with me. It is bad enough having umpteen BAME characters in drama set in a 1950s village such as Father Brown, but these were real people and it is our actual history. It is just the woke BBC giving the British people two fingers, they are showing their utter contempt for us. It is nothing more than gaslighting. So I refuse to watch, and feel better for it.

I used to be a Covid numbers junky, from watching Valance asking for the next slide please to still regularly checking the UKHSA dashboard.

But for the last 3 weeks I have a new darling. I keep checking the general election petition. Probably it is the Waspi ladies but the speed of signings has definitely speeded up. As I type on Sunday evening, the petition is just 3 thousand short of 3 million. I know of course it isn’t going to result in a general election but it should make Labour realise the level of the discontent.

I don’t believe it will have any effect on the Labour leader Deborah, I think he is totally blind to any criticism, however he would have problems trying to jail 3 million people! Hopefully, one positive outcome will be a growing realisation that by their minimal reporting on the petition, seemingly to save Labour faces, the BBC have displayed their political allegiance beyond any doubt and hopefully, many, many more people will see them for who and what they really are.

Children among dozens killed in Israeli strikes, Gaza officials say
    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cz9g4yl8j17o

    Here’s a new low:

The BBC went from telling us Hamas control Gaza and they are designated a terrorist organisation to omitting the ‘terrorist’ bit completely.

Now they don’t even tell us it is Hamas. They give them full credibility as a duly elected government.

‘Gaza’s civil defence agency spokesperson Mahmoud Bassal told the AFP news agency that the school had been repurposed as a shelter for Palestinians displaced by the war.
One displaced man who had been staying at the school, Abu, told BBC Arabic that the attack came while he was asleep.’

AFP and BBC. Both utterly untrustworthy. Both are left-wing activist organisations. Either name is a badge of dishonesty for me now.

And now, all of a sudden, liebour remember their manifesto pledges, what a surprise for us all.

Well, only one, self serving one :

votes for 16 year olds. They are not even allowed to drive.

Medical science tells us their brains are not fully formed, so likely to believe bbc and socialist teachers’ far left lies.

Insurance actuaries know this from the accident statistics for 17 – 25 year olds, the risk assessment part of the brain does not work properly.

The law says that 16 and 17 year olds can legally have sex but, as they are legally children, they are given more protection in law. It is illegal for an adult in a position of trust or responsibility to have sex with a 16 or 17 year old.

Teenagers are no longer legally allowed to marry, even with parental permission, until the age of 18. A 16-year-old is legally allowed to leave home without parental consent but parents remain responsible for their child’s wellbeing until they are 18, so they may still require support.

Unlikely to have ever paid tax..go figure.

Unlikely to happen. Members of the government with an IQ greater than 100 (both of them) have noticed that Reform, AfD and National Rally are attracting huge amounts of support from teenagers. Extending the vote to 16 year olds may well result in the ‘law of unintended consequences’ coming into play.

There is only one reason and one reason alone that Labour want to lower the voting age to 16. They see these children as potentially much more likely to vote for socialism than capitalism (useful idiots) and from my personal experience they are probably correct in this assumption.

bbc ? we all remember what you said about Liz Truss and that mini budget:

“Economy flatlines under Labour as growth is revised down to ZERO in months after election amid fears of a 2025 ‘recession made in Downing Street’

Last night the The Confederation of British Industry (CBI)said the economy was heading for the ‘worst of all worlds’ in 2025 as businesses grapple with Chancellor Rachel Reeves’ ‘tax-bomb’ fiscal statement.

The employers’ organisation said the outlook for the start of 2025 was ‘firmly negative’ across all main sectors, including manufacturing, services and retail – with firms directly blaming the £25 billion Budget hike in employers’ National Insurance.

The ONS today said that UK gross domestic product (GDP) showed no growth between July and September, in the run up to the Autumn budget.

Statisticians had previously estimated 0.1 per cent growth for the quarter.

The ONS also revised down its growth reading for the second quarter of 2024, to 0.4 per cent. In September, it said it thought GDP had increased by 0.5 per cent, which was itself a reduction on previous estimates.”

What he says makes sense from start to finish. Unlike the rhetoric-for-idiots the BBC churn out.

The BBC will ignore this interview completely because they are part of the rise of the new Nazis we hope Trump will stop. Yet they will quickly print any insults and slurs against Trump from any book written by someone who hates him and is looking to cash in.

‘It’s scary – but so’s giving birth’: The female unit gunning down Russian drones
    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c62gx6rvv5wo

This is a misleading story of epic proportions by the BBC’s anti-semetic Sarah Rainsford (who was also expelled from Russia). If you read around, this woman is a typical BBC activist full of hate.

Sarah writes this article in true Dunkirk spirit giving the impression that these women are helping Ukraine to victory.

It’s grossly misleading. If the BBC had any interest in ‘news’, the article would be informing us of the absolutely desperate situation in Ukraine. But Sarah is more interested in pushing the feminist angle for her own agenda. That is more important to these people than truth.

Here is one of the women who ‘shoot down drones’ in a ridiculouse fake picture of door-to-door clearance:
    e9182900-87c0-11ef-b582-ebb053a6df4f.jpg.webp
When you actually read between the lines, you realise a man does all the shooting and they are just there to help him by listening for the drones. They say they have shot down 3 in six months. I doubt they have shot down a single one with that old machine gun.

The rest of the article degenerates into the usual BBC rhetoric of how evil Russia are with nonsense paragraphs like this:
‘When Bucha was taken over, Russian forces began going house to house. They raped and they murdered. Then one day, a rumour spread that the occupiers were coming to kill the children.’
    They didn’t.

And despite the article showing us just how desperate things are, they are still pretending Ukraine can win!.
“Life has changed, all our plans have been torn apart. But I’m here to help speed up the end of this war. As our girls here say, it won’t end without us.”
    Absolute rubbish.

The BBC are using their trick of telling blatant lies they clearly wrote themselves and pretending they are just quotes of what other people said has become rife now. And those quotes ALWAYS push the BBC’s own agenda. Its completely dishonest.

The suspect is a foreigner. He originates from a Middle Eastern country. Five people were killed in a method widely associated with Islamist extremists. The people murdered were Europeans. The suspect was previously known to the authorities, who failed to act.

Those are the facts and that’s all we need to know. Whether the individual was a former Muslim, an active Muslim practising Taqiyya, an Islamophobe, an admirer of Israel, was favourably inclined towards the AfD, had mental problems or several of the above (even if contradictory), isn’t really the issue. For many Germans, it is a crime of immigration policy and the failures of multiculturalism, resulting in a crime that should not, in the natural world, have ever occurred.

Incidentally, notice how the BBC refers to the victims as ‘a child and four adults’. The four adults were women – usually the BBC are keen to throw in allegations of gender-based violence and misogyny. Nor do they mention featuring the accused in one of their programmes in 2019.

I wonder if I misheard the bbbc radio newcastle news this morning but I’m certain I heard them say on two separate news bulletins that pensioners were getting a £1,900 rise.

It may be over 5 years but I didn’t hear that part.

I think it’s typical bbbc giving out misleading information and many people listening would think the pensioners were getting a £1,900 in April.
I’ve also heard the GB News lefties saying pensioners will get £1,000 rise in April. The same ones who also say a third of pensioners are millionaires and all GBN seem to counter this with is a half hearted “Their houses have gone up in value”

I don’t know any millionaire pensioners here in Sunderland.
Maybe every pensioner down south is a millionaire to make these figures true but I am disappointed at how easy a ride the GBN lefties always get.

This gent from WHO, sorry did not catch the name but it sounded Arab or Palestinian to me so no conflict of interest at the BBC whatsoever(! smirk!) , mentioned in passing that food aid lorries, presumably coming into Gaza from Israel were being looted.

Would that be by men (or women) with guns? I think we know a political terror group, proscribed by the UK Government (but not by the BBC) who would do such things as loot aid lorries. Sadly there were no questions asked by Jonny Dymond as to who might loot food aid coming into Gaza. Journalist? PAH! BBC Presenter? Double PAH!

Of course, she is using the wrong terminology, and not all ‘Western’ science is junk. Alchemists, wizards, and spooks set up the Royal Society. Their job is to occult knowledge so that the profane have no access to actual knowledge. Most of what most people believe is wrong. It is not by coincidence that the Royal Society pushes gender fluidity, Global Climate Boiling Change, Marxism, and other rubbish. Its job has always been to serve its political masters, not research and discover actual knowledge.
Newton was a con man, and his work, like Einstein’s, produced nothing worthwhile. Einstein’s work is so bad a five-year-old can see through it. One of England’s leading physicists, president of the Royal Astronomical Society from 1951 to 1953 and once an acknowledged leader in Special Relativity, exposed the nonsense decades ago. He was, of course, shunned and ignored. He wrote the book.
“Science at the Crossroads” in the early 70s – available on Amazon.

Every child who does physics should be forced to read and refute this book. There have been thousands of scientists who have refuted SR and GR, but they have been silenced.
According to the theory, you have two observers, A and B, in different frames of reference. Assume B is moving away from A at a constant speed close to c. According to the theory, A sees the clock in B’s frame of reference as slowing down almost to a standstill. But hold on. The principle of relativity also states there can be no preferred frame of reference, so from B’s perspective, A is moving away from him close to the speed of light, so the clock in A’s frame of reference is also almost standing still. This is logically impossible. There is no evidence for any of it. All of Einstein’s science was dreamt up using Gedankenexperiments. In other words, he used his fantasy and had a wild imagination. The nonsense can only be salvaged if mathematics trumps all, and in theoretical physics, it does. In spades. Aristotle lost, and Plato won, which is almost everything you believe is true about the universe isn’t.
