This is what the cnuts are up to now:

“The Labour Party is so desperate to micromanage headteachers that the Bill will make it illegal for schools to require children to own more than three pieces of ‘branded’ uniform. Given that the average school has around five pieces of branded kit (tie, blazer, PE top, school bag etc.), this means that thousands of schools will have to change their entire uniform policy as a result of Labour’s petty meddling. As if this wasn’t destructive enough, Education Secretary Bridget Philipson is undertaking a ‘curriculum review’ led by an academic whose specialism is gender studies. If you have children in the state school system, beware. Labour intends to replace education with indoctrination.

Why are the Left so keen to control what is taught in schools, even if it means sacrificing educational standards and thus robbing our whole nation of its potential? The answer is, of course, control. Compulsory state education is the Left’s most effective tool for social engineering. If the rights of parents to decide what is taught to their children, where and by whom are steadily eroded, it becomes easier and easier to indoctrinate the young with false and extreme ideas about race, gender, history and economics, views that most parents – and most people – do not support. Once children have been brainwashed, so the thinking goes, the Left will have lifelong acolytes. Independent Schools present a significant obstacle to this agenda of total control, which is why the Government is so intent on forcing them into financial failure through the introduction of VAT on education. Of course, we should fear the impact of the Labour’s economic policies on our financial future. But economic fortunes can rise or fall; once decades – even centuries – of educational excellence have been destroyed, it will not return.

The defeat of Badenoch’s wrecking amendment will make life very uncomfortable for Labour MPs, but more importantly, it will inflict a double blow to our children. Not only will hopes for a much-needed national inquiry into the rape gangs be dashed once more, we will also have to prepare ourselves for the mindless destruction of our education system.”

A BBC freelance newsreader has been sacked by the broadcaster after creating an anti-Keir Starmer charity Christmas song.

Chris Middleton, 33, unmasked himself as the brainchild behind Freezing This Christmas, which was released under the mock band name Sir Starmer and the Granny Harmers.

The parody song of Mud’s 1974 hit Lonely This Christmas is about the government’s slashing of winter fuel payments for pensioners and the resultant ‘hardship’ and has raised more than £50,000 for Age UK.

Mr Middleton, who was a freelance newsreader for BBC Newcastle, revealed yesterday that he had been ‘let go’ by the corporation because of a ‘conflict of interest’.

He had planned to release the tune anonymously but said he had ‘no choice’ but to go public when it started gaining media attention.

Mr Middleton told GB News: ‘Do I stay anonymous and maybe the song won’t do as well?

‘Or do I put my face out there, put my name out there, and try to push the song as much as possible and raise awareness, knowing that potentially it would cost me my freelance job with the BBC?’

He told bosses that he was going to appear on Martin Daubney’s GB News programme to chat about his song to which Mr Middleton said they replied: ‘OK, basically you can’t work here any more.’

A friend’s brother caught up in the LA fire just texted him: “𝕏 is the only reliable source of news about the fires because you can search for specific streets, etc. for updates. Actual news sites don’t have any idea about anything.”

Don’t you hate it when climate change appoints a DEI hire to run the fire dept, gives away fire equipment to Ukraine, stops critical controlled burns, defunds the fire dept, refuses to build more water reservoirs and store water, cancels fire insurance, mismanages forests and brush, and fires firefighters for refusing an experimental vaccine?

The forced injection of this fringe, racial ideology into the U.S. Forest Service leads its stewards into believing their mission is to “advance racial equity.”

In reality, the mission of the U.S. Forest Service is to service America’s forests.

ENVIRONMENTALISTS SUED TO SAVE THE FORESTS—FROM BEING SAVED…

In 2007, the Sierra Club sued the U.S. Forest Service to block Categorical Exclusions (CE) for controlled burns under NEPA, claiming the process needed a 3.5-year EIS review.

Because, obviously, bureaucracy is better than wildfire prevention.

Controlled burns are essential to reducing fire risks.

Fast forward: the John Muir Project in 2018 and the Center for Biological Diversity in 2021 pulled the same stunts, halting critical fuel reduction plans.

Even Trump discussed the auspicious effect of cleaning the brush off the forest.

For some reason, Newsom seems to choose to ignore it…

    Today

There is an interesting dichotomy between the accounts of fires in California on X versus the BBC fire porn account . Nothing on the BBC about blame or cause. . Unusual for the BBC because they love blaming someone .

X suggests the DEI approach to the fire service has contributed to the failure to prevent and fight fires . Yet this doesn’t show up in BBC accounts ….

… and then there is the funeral of the inept jimmy carter -a one term failure – whose eulogy will be read from an autocue by another failure democrat president – and Sarah smith couldn’t stop herself from throwing in a line to compare the felon – president trump – with the ‘never tell a lie ‘ carter ….. even with a funeral TDS is never far away ….

Prediction markets bet against bird flu becoming the next COVID-19, reassures Boing Boing, ‘the Web’s favorite site devoted to technology, entertainment, and culture’, with a classic journalistic despite: Despite growing concerns about avian influenza…

Naturally, our most coronaphobic of national print titles, i news wouldn’t be i news without a regular covid headline at least once a week or so: Science Has Covid broken our imune system? – the answer to many a headline ending in a question mark is of course: NO

This adage, termed Betteridge’s law, applies most strictly to our most regime-adjacent news outlets. The junior poundshop Guardian that is i news just about squeeks into this category.

The tell tale marker of serious regime adjacency and approval this morning one takes to be the extent to which a newspaper picks up on the BBC’s almost fanatic obsession with California ‘wild fires’.

    BBC in La La Land

Wildfire sweeps through Hollywood Hills and threatens landmarks as chaos grips LA

In maps: Thousands of acres on fire in LA

What it’s like inside LA’s real life apocalypse movie

In pictures: Dramatic scenes as wildfires sweep through west LA

Billy Crystal and Paris Hilton among celebrities to lose homes in wildfires

BBC reporter surrounded by LA fires destruction… Emma Vardy – sorry, but you’re no celebrity on a par with the likes of Billy Crystal or Paris Hilton, luv.

    Here comes the money shot…

High winds, lack of rain and climate change stoking California fires

Gosh, it’s almost as though our BBC were anxious to keep other news out of their headlines.

The gynaeceum that is BBC news staff’s top pick for their online print press line-up is of course the Guardian and that organ of course goes big on the story: Mass evacuations in Los Angeles and deadly wildfires wreak havoc – illustrated with a large format photo of a house ablaze – a dramatic study in orange and red.

One assumes it is a rule of journalism that for the term ‘deadly’ to be placed in a headline requires there to have been fatal casualties.

The Gruan frontpage column fails to substantiate any casualties as directly fire-related, rather it vaguely attributes quotes to ‘one official’ and ‘Officials said’: Efforts to contain the fires are being hindered by a “life-threatening” windstorm – which is as close as this reviewer finds to anything to stand up the ‘deadly’ claim.

California wildfires live updates: At least 5 dead, over 100,000 forced to flee (NBC) – no details apparent in the reporting.

The Financial Times is about as regime-compliant as they come and it’s frontpage photo feature is: Suburbs burn LA wildfires spark exodus

The FT is as much the voice of Brussels as it is of Downing Street so the top headline is some euro-centric anti-Trump snark of the first order: Europe’s leaders warn Trump against meddling with its sovereign borders – the irony we guess being lost on our pro-EU fanatics.

Middling nations need to stick together proposes Janan Ganesh.

He may be the world’s entrepreneur par excellence but a political friend of the regime he is not so the FT does not overlook the opportunity for some anti-Elon Musk snark: Small cast of X influencers feed Musk his ammunition… Analysis… by the FT shows Elon Musk’s obsession with British politics…

Anaysis by Mr AsI shows the BBC’s obsession with American wildfires.

Ditto the Times with that same burning house photo as the Guardian. We continue to note the increasing similarity betwixt these two titles in style, layout and even politics.

Time for a time out – as they say in US sports.

And what better way to relax the mood than with some calm down dears

The ever-excitable Daily Mail meanwhile headlines with a report from which the ostensibly markets-focused FT frontpage shied away, for now at least: Market turmoil sounds red alert for chancellor

    Meanwhile in grooming gang news…

While Facebook, Instagram and YouTube are all serial offenders, the BBC has arguably been the most shameless, setting up its own “fact-finding” empire to provide “verified” versions of the truth. Is it too much to hope that Zuckerberg’s tacit acknowledgement that users have lost trust in such “services” might encourage the BBC to review its own version: so-called BBC Verify?

Only this week, the supposedly impartial unit broadcast an analysis of Musk’s political interventions, which blithely accused the X boss of “making … unsubstantiated claims” about events in the UK. According to BBC Verify, Musk “frequently” shares “untrue and misleading information.” How many examples has the unit provided to back up these claims? Absolutely none.’

Just reading about the awful fires in LA and Democrat governor Gavin Newson’s head is right above the parapet for the blame. It seems the firefighters have simply run out of water.

I did some searching and discovered Trump has blamed him for not allowing a big supply of water in from the North. As usual, the ‘Fact checkers’ have immediately jumped in to discredit Trump and those reports are well and truly out of the Leftist news network : it appears in many, many places.

So I checked. What they are all saying is this:
‘Trump today repeated a claim he has made in the past, that state efforts “to protect an essentially worthless fish called a smelt” have caused pain and hardship in California.’
‘“Governor Gavin Newscum refused to sign the water restoration declaration put before him that would have allowed millions of gallons of water, from excess rain and snow melt from the North, to flow daily into many parts of California, including the areas that are currently burning in a virtually apocalyptic way,”’

These ‘Fact Checkers’ are using this to tell us what Trump said is false:
‘“There is no such document as the water restoration declaration — that is pure fiction,” Newsom communications director Izzy Gardon said in a written statement. “The Governor is focused on protecting people, not playing politics, and making sure firefighters have all the resources they need.”’

So Trump is lying. But I pondered it for a moment : it’s another ‘odd wording’ by the Left and I realised they are not saying he DIDN’T stop the water, they are saying the document name Trump referred to does not exist.

Then I found this from December 2019 : just before the Democrats stole office:
‘Delta smelt: the tiny fish caught in California’s war with Trump’
    https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2019/dec/22/delta-smelt-fish-trump-california-aoe
‘“They have farms here and they don’t get water,” he said, as the crowd, holding up green “Farmers for Trump” signs booed. “It is so ridiculous they’re taking the water and shoving it out to sea.” That night, Trump promised the farmers more water. Ever since then, his administration has been making moves to make good on that pledge.’

So it seems that what Trump said is once again absolutely true. Newson did not let the water through. But they are saying it’s false because they nit-picked one irrelevant fact.

No wonder the BBC are up in arms that Facebook are removing fact checkers. They are one of the many ways the Left-wing activists lie to us.

Excellent news comrades – the plan to wreck the UK economy is working well – Rachel from accounts has declined to go to parliament to answer an urgent question – she sent a work experience kid instead – so the pound continues to fall against the $ and gilt costs are still going up despite the abnormal Bank of England statement yesterday ….

Looking good for a recession and those working from home no longer working – but being at home ….

    Popcorn prices are surging ….

Btw – it might be that Rachel from accounts has gone to china – in which case we might get one of those maps where the plane turns round and comes back – or a ‘crisis what crisis ‘? Moment.

Mind you – traders might be pleased that Rachel has gone to china and the pound might strengthen …

National Grid ESO had to issue its first Electricity Market Notice of the winter, along with a third Capacity Market Notice, though the latter was quickly binned. Now that everyone’s moved on from child rape the media can get on to the important stuff, like the Spanish FA head and his exuberant but misplaced kiss to one of the women after their World Cup victory.

“A total of 11 sessions will be held from Feb. 3-19, 2025, at Spain’s high court […] Spanish prosecutors are seeking a prison term of two years and six months for Rubiales”

11 sessions at the high court? In a sane world this should have taken about 15mins to sort out. The BBC will be rubbing their hands and using it to pretend they take sexual abuse seriously. Is it any wonder people no longer trust our institutions or their bullshit campaigns?

Labour announce a big house building programme. A few hours later the BBC announce their “ New housing tracker” app to help people see what is possible.

So how the hell did the BBC know what was breaking from Labour and how did they have an oven ready app which must have taken time to put together within hours?

It all points to collusion between Labour and their tame propaganda outfit, the supposedly politically neutral BBC.

Totally undemocratic behaviour by both parties.

Keir Starmer will not stop accusing Liz Truss of ‘crashing the economy’ despite a legal threat from the former Tory prime minister because he speaks for millions of voters, Downing Street said today.

Lawyers acting for the former Conservative leader have written a ‘cease and desist’ letter to the current occupant of No10 over comments he made during the election campaign.

They accuse him of making ‘false and defamatory public statements’ about her 2022 mini-Budget and the fallout while she was standing for re-election in South West Norfolk.
Last year Ms Truss received an apology from the Cabinet Secretary after Government King’s Speech documents written by civil servants described her mini-Budget as ‘disastrous’.

And her lawyers asked that Sir Keir show the same ‘spirit’ in his response.

‘Of particular concern are the false and defamatory public statements you made about our client in the lead-up to the UK general election from late May 2024, at a time when you knew or ought to have known that those statements were false and the statements were likely to materially impact public opinion of our client whilst she was standing as the parliamentary candidate for the Conservative Party in South West Norfolk,’ they added.

Referring to the movements in gilts and exchange rates at that time, the letter says: ‘Such rate movements cannot properly be described as a crash of the economy.

‘To use such an expression is to display ignorance of basic economics and common usage of the term ”crash” when referred to an economy.’

The lawyers also suggest that Sir Keir’s repetition of the claims in the lead up to last year’s general election ‘gives rise to a strong inference’ that they were intended to ‘damage our client’s reputation and/or for political purposes’.

It asks for the Prime Minister to ‘immediately cease and desist’ from repeating the claims.

At the Conservative Party conference in October, Ms Truss said it would be ‘economic illiteracy’ to suggest that tax rises from Labour – at that point anticipated in Rachel Reeves’ upcoming first budget – were a result of her economic inheritance.

Rachel Reeves was last night warned that the spike in UK borrowing costs is worse than the crisis that ended Liz Truss’s premiership. The interest rate on 30-year gilts – the government’s long-term financing vehicle – hit 5.36 per cent today, the highest level for 27 years.

Whatever I think of Smarmer and Reeves, ie not much, whether Truss crashed the economy or not is one for a long debate and is basically a matter of opinion. I thought political debate was a defamation free arena anyway. Truss’s Lawyers are surely only in it for fees, there surely can’t be much mileage in this legal action. I think Truss would be better served by attacking Smarmer and Reeves’ appalling record.

Jaguar sales have nosedived by more than a quarter in the last year following the legendary British car marque’s dramatic ‘woke’ rebrand.

The company was mauled for ditching the iconic ‘growler’ badge, used for decades on grilles and bonnets, and replacing it with a curved geometric ‘J’ badge.

Other controversial changes included unveiling a bright pink concept car, which was aimed at updating Jaguar’s image for the electric age.

But design experts and Jag fans ridiculed the makeover, branding it ‘cultural vandalism’ and the ‘most destructive marketing move ever’.

Now new industry registration figures released by parent company, Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) revealed the number of cars sold by the Indian-owned firm fell by 12,459 to just 33,320 in 2024.
