Agreed Lucy, the only thing the defence uplift will achieve is higher tax all round for every worker in the UK. And it doesn’t take an economist to see why that would be.

Defence spending by nature is simply a huge total loss money pit. It can never be otherwise.

The need for defence spending for security is a totally different argument from national financial health.

I think there’s a huge number of people who hope that Trump gives TTK a right good talking to.
Normally, the people of the UK would support our PM against any other Country even when we disagree with some policies at home.
Now, our hope is that Trump will give him some kind of political bollocking and try to get some home truths into TTK although I doubt anything could get through to him as he is completely brainwashed to the far left ideology.

How can he just lie without any consequences.
My energy bill is going up by £111 a year (or £222 per year as TTK would say) yet they promised it would decrease.

Does TTK maths also work in the other direction?
If, for example, he promised HM Forces a 4% pay rise, does that really mean a 2% pay rise (or is it a 8% pay rise)

When talking about immigration numbers, does he also double those or will he half the numbers which will suit him better (or will he keep them secret like the Chagos deal because they make him look bad)

I haven’t believed any government figures for decades but TTK and his gang have taken them to new levels.

BBC running lots of footage of TTK in battlefield camo garb while visiting his troops…..

I’ve always believed that this sort of band-standing by a politician simply to look hard and resolute and just one of the boys is false and creepy.

UK is safe …. “Former British military pilots are being lured to China with large sums of money to pass on their expertise to the Chinese military, it is claimed. Up to 30 former UK military pilots are thought to have gone to train members of China’s People’s Liberation Army. The UK is issuing an intelligence alert to warn former military pilots against working for the Chinese military.”

“Gaza: How to Survive a Warzone, BBC2/iPlayer
    17/19 Feb 2025

Since the transmission of our documentary on Gaza, the BBC has become aware of the family connections of the film’s narrator, a child called Abdullah.

We’ve promised our audiences the highest standards of transparency, so it is only right that as a result of this new information, we add some more detail to the film before its retransmission. We apologise for the omission of that detail from the original film. The new text reads:

The narrator of this film is 13 year old Abdullah. His father has worked as a deputy agriculture minister for the Hamas-run government in Gaza. The production team had full editorial control of filming with Abdullah.”

We followed all of our usual compliance procedures in the making of this film, but we had not been informed of this information by the independent producers when we complied and then broadcast the finished film.

The film remains a powerful child’s eye view of the devastating consequences of the war in Gaza which we believe is an invaluable testament to their experiences, and we must meet our commitment to transparency.

    19/02/2025

    Update on 21/02/2025:

Gaza: How to Survive a Warzone features important stories we think should be told – those of the experiences of children in Gaza.

There have been continuing questions raised about the programme and in the light of these, we are conducting further due diligence with the production company. The programme will not be available on iPlayer while this is taking place.

Why are so many commentators going on about TTK not answering a question about how the Chagos surrender will be financed.
The simple fact is that TTK NEVER answers any questions.

It would be real headline news if TTK actually did answer a question.

    1. The price of failure for the taxpayer. Amanda Pritchard will get a six figure pay-off for stepping down early! How will that help the NHS?
    2. Another cover-up at the BBC! Apparently the BBC amended, some would say distorted, the sub-titles on the controversial ‘How to survive a warzone’ that featured the son of a Hamas leader. Apparently the language really said Jews (Jehuda) which was changed to Israel and the word ‘Jihad’ was omitted altogether. Naughty BBC!

We need more whistle blowers at the BBC to shed light on their corrupt activities.

“The NHS is the largest single item of public spending in the UK, and has been placed under extraordinary pressure as a result of the pandemic. Historically, some of the largest policy-related revisions have related to health spending, including the £13 billion a year announced at the 2021 Spending Review.”

500 media figures urging the BBC to reinstate Gaza documentary… (including of course Linaker).

So…. What caused 500 people to simultaneously make this demand?

It is unlikely that it happened organically so quickly and neatly so there must be an underground movement urging this for so many to act in unison, either that or internal actors have set up the protest themselves to justify running the documentary in the first place.

There is so much we don’t know swirling round in the murky depths…

I think that before any decisions are made we need to see the names of the 500 media figures published to see if there is a common thread.
