    Sadiq Kahn apparently wishes to pedestrianise Oxford Street London, not sure if this has been commented on before on here? Pedestrianisation is controversial enough but he seems to want to execute a power grab by forming a Mayorial Development Corporation which will remove control from Westminster and Camden local authorities. Knowing what I know about development corporations the general idea is to compulsorily purchase land and property at rock bottom prices, redevelop them and make a fortune which will nicely reward the directors of the Corporation’s board.
    Democracy in Britain is a vanishing commodity. With all the gerrymandering of local Councils around Britain with “reorganisations and Mayors we’re truly fooked.

    Sat in the park this afternoon
    Man on the next bench was eating a standard sized Magnum ice-cream, attacking it he was.
    Then the greedy sod started on a second one.
    Finished that pretty fast too.
    I noticed he had a box of them next to him.
    No…..
    But sure enough he started on a third , polished that off,
    then immediately ate a fourth..

    Is life still real or have we slipped into some weird simulation?

    Another absolutely pathetic article from the children at ‘BBC Verify’. It’s entire purpose is to snipe, criticise and discredit Musk. You can almost see the writers faces twisting with hate as they typed it.

    I could only read the first part before I’d had enough. It has no less than 7 ‘but’s and 3 ‘however’s in it.
