Midweek 30th April 2025

A few local elections on Thursday 1st May – plenty suspended by the Labour Party . The BBC will continue to claim Britain is a ‘democracy ‘ but that’s more than doubtful these days ….

Sneaking onto the bottom of the front page of the bbc :-

“Two Gazan girls first to arrive in UK for medical treatment”. They have pre-existing conditions not treatable under the palestinian health service. Isn’t this lovely? So they will never leave the uk, or contribute anything in return. The mother of one says that she hopes other children “would get the chance” to benefit from the chance to receive medical care overseas. By “overseas” she means us. Other countries have more sense.

This is the first of yet another death of a thousand cuts (No pun intended). Waiting for that knee replacement? You won’t be getting that now.

Yes, I’m heartless. Our own people are dying while thousands of these chancers rock up and demand that we support them.
Where do we target our meagre resources? To our own, say I.

I often wonder why they all come here. The same happened with that Muslim girl who got shot in the head. So many countries in the world and it’s always us who end up taking them in. It’s not like we are not in an NHS crisis ourselves.

This is what happens when you open the door to the third world. They flood the place and they don’t have any ethics about taking whatever they can get.

One year ago schoolgirl Malala Yousafzai was shot in the head by Taliban gunmen – her “crime”, to have spoken up for the right of girls to be educated. The world reacted in horror, but after weeks in intensive care Malala survived. Her full story can now be told.

She is the teenager who marked her 16th birthday with a live address from UN headquarters, is known around the world by her first name alone, and has been lauded by a former British prime minister as “an icon of courage and hope”.

    BBC Headline:
‘Labour wins first mayoral contest of the night, as votes counted across England’
    https://www.bbc.com/news/live/c39jedewxp8t

Sounds like Labour are doing well then I thought. The statistic of choice is a Labour win.

So ready for the worst, I went in to check the article:

Labour have 4 seats. The Tories have 19.

But Reform – who have ZERO seats currently – are on 38 !!!.

But the ‘big BBC news’ is a Labour win at extreme-Left HQ.

What a farce the BBC are. They have no ethics and no shame. 100% Lefties. Is there anyone with an IQ greater than 80 who does not think the BBC are biased to the Left ?. I now believe that anyone who says they are not is either a shameless hypocrite or a naiive idiot (by which I mean the student activists).

As I type now, the headline is:
‘Recount in knife-edge Runcorn by-election as Reform and Labour separated by four votes’

As if it’s all a close battle between Labour and Reform. When in fact Labour have only won 5 to reforms 44.

      Then we get:
”Annihilation’ for Conservatives in Lincolnshire, party member says’
No mention at all about who has annihilated them. I searched elsewhere to learn that Reform won with 47.7% of the vote. Labour got 13.6%.

The scores on the doors are now Reform: 44, Conservative 21 and Labour 5 !!!.

It’s an absolute rout – but the BBC are refusing to report it. They are talking as if Reform don’t even exist.

This is their worst nightmare and is absolutely HUGE news. I suspect the atmosphere is like ‘Brexit night’ at BBC HQ. What a magnificent example of just how out of touch the BBC are with the people who are forced to fund them.

        Headline now:

‘Reform wins Runcorn by-election by just six votes, while Labour wins three mayoral races’

Implying Labour are doing well and Reform are scraping through !!.

I’m enjoying to watch this spectacle : these constant, pathetic headlines to credit Labour when the REAL news is that Reform are taking it by a landslide is a delight to watch. It indicates the level of spite and hate at the BBC for Reform. They are unable to write anything positive about them at all.

        Current tally:
        Reform: 65 Conservatives:36 Labour:11

The BBC are completely avoiding the real headline.

And yes – Happy Friday indeed!

Just as an aside, had there been none of the Labour gerrymandering of council seats to cancel a vote for so many citizens, the results today would have been an absolutely huge exposure of socialist failure, with hundreds of seats going to Nigel Farage’s party!

This story will disappear from the BBC front pages just as soon as they can manage it without it being too obvious. There will be no analysis or ‘BBC Verifying’ at all over the next few days. It will go straight under the carpet and they will pretend it never happened.

Gizzi Erskine I thought I had ADHD – but I’m also bipolar (i paper) – as you were…!

Admittedly, there are certain conditions that are easy enough to self-diagnose: Patients to get weight-loss jabs on prescription from chemists without seeing doctor in plan to tackle obesity… NHS fat jabs at the pharmacy (Daily Mail)

The FT specialises in overseas election coverage – handily marking our card as to who is “far-right” and so on. This morning’s edition however, goes parochial and pin points for a frontpage feature photo just about the most middleclass voter imaginable heading in the direction of a Runcon polling station. No horny-handed rude mechanic effin’ and jeffin’ (see below) and in danger of being lured from Labour loyalty into the clutches of Reform to be seen here – instead the lady poodle dog walker pictured responsibly holds her dog’s lead in one hand and her model citizen doggie poo plastic bag in the other (pity about the plastic – what with the planet and all).

What are the chances…? Local elections 2025: Dogs at polling stations… Voters across England are heading to the polls to choose councillors and mayors. For plenty of them, it was the perfect excuse to take the dog for a walk too. (BBC) – and care of photocredit EPA (European Pressphoto Agency B.V.) – the self-same lady and dog combo from the FT is also featured by our BBC with another photograph from the same shoot.

A voter took a photograph of their dog outside another station in the Cheshire town (BBC) – we’re now presented with a pic of the lady from the FT with the dog – but in the act taking a photo of her dog – this is getting somewhat meta (as the kids say)

And she’s not a one-off happenstance – Getty Images weighs in with a doggie pic (I know what you’re thinking – calm down – it wasn’t a black dog): Lucy the Yorkshire terrier attended the Royal British Legion polling station in Runcorn (BBC)

Then there’s PA Media (winning a photo royalty off the BBC times three): Margo the Airedale Terrier, waited patiently outside a polling station in Gloucestershire… This little pooch was pictured outside a polling station in St Anne’s, Lancashire… Yoshi, a 13-year-old Chinese Crested Powderpuff, waited for their owner outside a polling station in Rothwell in West Yorkshire (BBC) – that last one bringing out the gay vote? And there’s nothing wrong with that.

And those dog pics go on and on.

I suppose there was a certain appropriateness to the Runcorn byelection – according to the Guardian: ‘Dogfight’ between Labour and Reform UK is turning ugly after Nigel Farage’s party put immigration centre stage – Oh the humanity! How dare they!

Excuse the French… “Labour are fucked,” says Kneale, 52, drinking a £1.95 pint of Foster’s beneath a giant St George’s flag. “I’ve been Labour all my life but never, ever again. They’ve done nothing but lie to us.” (Guardian)

Who says the Guardian never gives voice to the working class Brits?

And how did we get here?

Telegraph Money reveals how you can avoid paying the BBC TV license fee, plus ways you may be eligible to pay less ..

As if we didn’t know here -but this is the first time i have seen advice for Joe public on how to avoid the TV license and some data behind the demise eventually of the BBC…. in a major newspaper!

    At a glance
    — TV’s generation gap —
    (1) 90 per cent of BBC1’s audience is aged over 35.
    (2) A fifth of UK homes have all three of the most popular streaming services – Netflix, Prime Video and Disney+ – at a cost of about £300 annually.
    (3) Three million UK households have cancelled their streaming services this year
    (4) 90 per cent of 16- to 24-year-olds choose streaming services over traditional channels
    (5) The proportion of people reached by BBC1 in the last decade has dropped by 10 per cent

    Sources: Kantar, Ofcom

Plus helpful tips on readers can junk the TV license. It wil never happen under Labout but under REFORM it will be defunded, but the BBC won’t give up without a fight. Too many Labour luvvies to upset and Marxist liberals, will shriek to have lost Blue Peter or ‘Points of View’…
