My Comment: This is not the first time a BBC presenter has been charged with rape. Most of us remember TV host Jimmy Saville or Huw Edwards, but the list is far longer and goes back decades. One of the most serious sexual offenders was the Head of Radio 2 (Controller) at the time and had a string of convictions here and abroad, on of which involved an (International) POLICE – Interpol search for a ‘prolific sexual abuser of young boys’. He was finally arrested here in the UK. All of these presenters and controllers and staff were never ‘sacked’ by the BBC, – even when arrested and charged. A code of conduct simply does not exist at the BBC, its all ignored. Presumably as they are all sexual evident to each other.
