I may be wrong but I don’t remember them getting as concerned over the return of Israeli bodies.

Why?
For a start, just about the whole Country wants Maggie Oliver to Chair the enquiry so why not her.
Is it because she will actually conduct the enquiry completely honestly and fair. This is no good to liblabcon who want it hidden and buried.
They want to treat it the same as they did with Brexit by delaying, obfuscating, voting down all suggestions, doing total lawfare against it and in general doing everything possible to stop it while saying they are doing what we voted for. We ended up with a dogs breakfast of a Brexit deal which is what they intended and they want to edge back in again whilst telling us they are not going back in. All lies.
They are hoping it will all go away, the girls will all die off, everybody will be fed up with it and in the end will accept anything the government says when it pronounces it’s all sorted now (and lessons will be learned)
Stephen Barrett, another very popular choice, he has offered to Chair the enquiry but although he is qualified to do it he will not get it as he’s also honest and therefore will not give the conclusions and answers the government want.
Maybe in 2029 we will get a government which will actually deliver an honest enquiry but don’t expect anything from the useless and corrupt bunch who currently govern us.
If they complete an enquiry before then don’t expect ANYBODY from the police, civil service, councils etc to go to prison (unless they find a patsy or somebody they don’t like, to use as a token guilty person)
Maggie and Stephen combined would be the answer to filling the Chair. It’s what the public want and would trust so, TTK, why not?
