At the risk of edging out Northern Voter with my goal hanging, I wish the President of the USA would sue the BBC for all they are worth, which is not much ….. to us on here. A big law suit would go against the BBC when the Charter Review is being considered by the ‘Government of the Day’ and maybe it will then be a Reform Government, led by Nigel Farage as PM.

I do hope the President does sue the BBC and win. The BBC will then have to put up the cost of a licence to pay the £1 billion. It might be the final straw for many people and millions might cancel their licence.

Stealth editing is not a new nor rare thing
.. It is ROUTINE when libmob media are pushing pet agendas like generating HATE against Trump
That is why when they ask you to appear
it is imperative that you insist on doing it live so that you cannot be misrepresented in the edit
Or at least have you own cameras rolling for every second of the interaction, so that you have your own TRUE record.
Here an Australian video lists a few times the Australian ABC did it
.. like the famous time they edited IN bullet sounds
    and then lost in court

Why should any innocent person pay when the BBC loses the libel action ?
The BBC says it’s independent with a unique funding mechanism. . It is supposedly independent of government.

There are guilty people at the BBC . Let the organisation layout who is most to blame down to the least guilty . Then out of the salaries and pensions of of those responsible will be the damages and costs awarded to the plaintiff they have wronged .
If the whole pension pot is swallowed in paying for the litigation so be it . They are like any other corporation or company- they should take the knocks for any bad decisions .

It’s not Donald Trump or anyone else inflicting damage to the British people, it’s the BBC by their actions being a shame on our nation , like the KGB , SS , mafia , the thugee cult , football hooligans abroad etc have shamed other nations . Why should anyone who stands up to a bully like the BBC be castigated by halfwits like Ed Davies ? Or is he in the same camp as the BBC ?

The BBC. brought this problem onto themselves.

Not normally , but this case should be an exception as the BBC is an exception.

Other organisations like Mars confectioners or Volkswagen cars are funded in the normal way , with the companies, or shareholders taking the hit for bad decisions .

But the BBC proudly boasts it is funded in a unique way . There are no shareholders. Who should take the hit ?

I was pretty sure that UK law would not allow such a raid on the pension fund.

          Grok agrees.

Could the BBC Pay a $1 Billion Fine Using Its Pension Fund?

In short: No, the BBC could not directly access or use its pension fund to pay such a fine. The BBC Pension Scheme—a multi-employer defined benefit plan covering over 50,000 current and former employees — is a legally separate trust, ring-fenced from the BBC’s operational finances by UK pensions law (primarily the Pensions Act 1995 and 2004).

After thd corruption of maxwell raiding the mirror group pension scheme and other corruption – the separation of the pension fund from the parent organisation was meant to be a lot tighter .
But I wonder who the trustees of the BBC pension fund are ? And whether they could see the use of funds as a good investment to keep the BBC going ?

The added factor of course is that ‘daddy ‘ is the britistan state ….
This situation will ensure the Marxists get an even easier ride from the BBC with even more attacks on Reform …

Whatever 47 does i really hope he drags the whole thing out to damage the BBC as much as possible – perhaps – with more revelations of routine corrupt practice .

We must explore every avenue .

Perhaps it would put to bed this organisation which is public then private then public then private then ..

            Malfeasance in public office ?
If private then the BBC can only bring private prosecutions for non payment ? Which the Attorney General has a right to squash .

Folk on here will remember the late Jeremy Hardy. He was a Lefty so-called comedian who appeared on things like R4’s The News Quiz; he died in 2019. The Panorama/Trump brouhaha reminded me of a comment of his years ago.

I distinctly recall him saying something along the lines of, “well I may have got the details wrong in this particular case but there’s a higher truth, that all Tories are b*st*rds.” The sheep-like audience laughed of course; well, it was Radio 4.

Now, bear with me. Did you catch “Strong Message Here” on R4 this week (13:45-13:59 on Thursday, IIRC)? Armando Iannucci and others talked about the media/messaging side of current news stories. As well as a general playing down of the Panorama/ Trump affair, a woman channelled Hardy by claiming that, whilst the BBC was wrong to splice together separate clips, this “spoke to a higher truth” about Trump!

So there you have it! Actual truth doesn’t matter: BBC master-narratives supposedly speak to a higher truth … and thus lying is morally acceptable if it helps to promote them.

Asylum seeker jailed for raping 15-year-old girl
      https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c0kpmp26pj8o

The BBC article says it’s only 1 day old but I never saw it on their news page and it’s not there now. It’s well and truly buried.

These agenda stories very often have something a bit odd about them which always ends up the BBC deliberately wording it some way which isn’t quite what you would expect.

In this one, they tell us it was rape at the top – but when they get into the details, we are just told that the man took a couple of pictures of himself kissing two different girls then :

‘He said Mofrad had taken her to St Ebbes Street and then into the Westgate centre before the teenager was able to make her escape.’

So no mention at all about him raping her BBC ?. What a bizarre thing to leave out.

The REAL news here is absolutely ignored by the BBC and only mentioned as a police quote near the end:

‘The prosecution said Mofrad had a string of convictions for assault in Germany and that violence played a significant part in the events that unfolded during the attack.’

WTF was this man doing free on our streets ?. There should be outrage about it.

What it means is that white women have to suspect every single Iranian-looking man might rape them. None of them can be trusted. Same as the rest of us must always be aware that we may be randomly stabbed by a BAME immigrant when we are out in public. Especially on public transport. Because our government have allowed any and all extremist nutters come here illegally then go straight onto the streets.

What kind of society are we now ?.

Trump says he will take legal action against BBC over Panorama edit
    https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c891jp9j79do

    Good for Trump.

Perhaps if the BBC had shown some concern and remorse over what they did instead of jumping straight into ‘f*ck you Trump’ mode – with that totally OTT article about Epstein which actually proved nothing – despite what the BBC did their best to heavily infer – they would have been spared this.

It’s obvious the BBC’s oversized team of lawyers have decided Trump does not have a case to sue – so they are calling his bluff and doing their bias even more with their usual rhetoric dripping with spite.

Let’s see if this fake-narrative the BBC have created where Trump and Starmer are good friends is actually true or not.

The problem of course is that if Trump does not sue, the BBC will most certainly do it again because their red-line has been moved.

I still have not seen anything at all which shows the BBC concede they did actually something wrong. Lets hope their sheer arrogance is their downfall.

The BBC has received very bad legal advice. There certainly is a defamation case to answer and because the case will be heard in Florida , a firmly Trump state, the BBC is very likely to lose.
The verdict in legal cases in the US is heavily dependent on political leaning of the state in which the case is heard. If this case was being brought in a ‘blue anti Trump state’ the BBC might be better placed but they no chance in Florida.
I suspect that the BBC executive team who made the decision to contest the case , or at least to refuse to meet all of the President’s requirements , are trying to steer a course which half placates him whilst not provoking their own employees , who all have terminal TDS and whom they seem scared to death of. But it is a bad decision and they are going to fall between two stools.
Of course the meat in this sandwich is the poor old Licence Fee , hence my suggestion in another post about refunds by the President to Licence Fee payers from any compensation he receives. The BBC board nor the employees will lose a penny if they get a heavy fine imposed on them.
Hopefully the end game of this will be that after seeing their money squandered in such a senseless fashion it catalyses hundreds of thousands of Brits to stop paying the Licence Fee. However, I expect that the looney left TDS suffers , of which there are many, will try to crowd fund any fine. They are daft enough to do that.

Well done double, pretty much what I was going to post this morning.
You say the BBC have bad legal advice. I disagree, their lawyers would have advised them to apologise fully straight away and slightly further on, make a symbolic financial offer to settle. I would understand them advising not to make an offer right now. The apology doesn’t cost anything but stupidly and arrogantly they haven’t. The facts are that the BBC management are stupid or deluded or both, they are fooling around with taxpayers money, other people’s money, in a futile venture in which they will lose.

‘Astonishingly lethal’: BBC reports from site of Russian strike in Kyiv
    https://www.bbc.com/news/videos/c3w9je1d3jno

The BBC’s James Landale is another one of their idiots who doesn’t really relate to the real world at all. He clearly exists in his own leftist type bubble.

WTF does ”Astonishingly lethal’ mean ??. Is he saying the drones kill absolutely everybody ? No survivors ?. What nonsense.

Six people dead. If Russia wanted to destroy that block of flats, there would be dozens dead.

But James mentions the key point of this story without any clue of it’s significance. He says all these hits are on the 6th or 7th floors.

What that means is that these drones flew into the building on their way somewhere else. These drones are fairly simple : they don’t have any obstacle avoidance or AI, they follow the GPS waypoints to the target. Those planning them won’t examine every building along the way – they fire hundreds. They wouldn’t waste them on apartments – they would be going to hit key electricity locations or strategic targets like that.

Do the BBC know that ?. Probably – but as we know now, they lie as easily as they tell the truth. They prefer us to think it was deliberate so that’s what they tell us. Though not explicitly – which is telling in itself.

It seems to me that this awful Labour government is systematically carrying out a huge deceit on this country.

In the sixteen or so months they have been in office, commercial output has plummeted, unemployment has ballooned, immigration has reached catastrophic numbers and the relentless expenditure on non-productive ‘government’ has taken taxpayers to the financial brink. In effect, the politicians have ‘shorted’ the whole country, and are continuing to do so.

I have an awful fear that when these failed ‘politicians – of both persuasions in the uniparty, are kicked out at the next election, there will be literally thousands of small businesses on their beam ends, and that the same same politicians will be reaping the benefits of their disgrace by taking up positions, shares etc, and prospering personally from the inevitable upturn when commercial sanity returns.

What gets my goat is that these inept, wide-eyed people will also have squirmed their way into situations where their new  ‘contacts’ will make them very wealthy indeed! You only have to look at the ‘smarter’ ones who, since leaving ‘office’, have amassed eye-watering fortunes in property, supplying public services from abroad, engineering purchases from abroad, manufacturing from abroad, and finally, the most evil one of all, ‘climate change’. This scam has been a socialist wet-dream for several years, and the dividends for those involved will undoubtedly make them very rich – even more wealthy than they are already.

Here’s an idea for Mr Farage. Get the HMRC to exercise an  automatic access to every single transaction made by these politicians when they’re kicked out, and while they’re at it, take on the councillors and other public troughers. I reckon a clever ‘spreadsheet can be cobbled up pretty quickly, and would easily identify where all these ill-gotten gains are being collected with grubby little mitts! After all, my measly private pension is automatically reduced disproportionately every April, and that’s for only a C-note a month. The ‘They work for you’ publishes the legal stuff, but I very much believe that the real money is being poured into escrow as we speak. If HMRC have every tiny detail on my tax situation, they can easily go for the real conspirators.

Some years ago a truthful BBC Panorama would  uncover financial scandals like this, but of course, all the probity once displayed by that particular bunch has gone ‘whoosh’, far out of the window! Maybe The Daily Telegraph could look into it?

My advice to President Trump is to sue the BBC for as much as possible, 5 Billion dollars is now said to be his aim , ie over a years Licence Fee income. But I think he should advise the British Licence Fee payers that if the BBC give him the data , names addresses he will refund each and every Licence Fee payer a full annual fee from the fine imposed on the Corporation.
I’m sure that this will pile even more ignominy on the BBC and boost the President’s standing with the British public.

I’d put US Lawyers in a much higher experience bracket than the sort of ECHR lump we have here, and, quite rightly, this is all going to go on and on, at least until Thieves’ ‘budget’, (con) is unveiled.

I don’t think there are any by-elections or similar to deflect the public from the real financial mess at The Kennels, which is entirely of their own making!

I think I just heard ultra left winger, Jonathan Lis, on GBNews astonishingly defend the BBC’s defamation of Trump saying, there was no defamation, the meaning of the edited clip was a true representation of what Trump meant. This is pretty much what Stephen Pound said previously on GBNews. It gives you an idea of the mindset of the left.
Jonathan Lis has previously worked for the BBC.

It appears that Smarmer might be backing the BBC, a sure fire loser for him and our country. Presumably he feels he still needs the BBC propaganda nachine and his back benchers and Party are very much pro BBC as well.

        Julia Hartley-Brewer, TalkTV, 3 January – 17,366 complaints
Comments made by Julia Hartley-Brewer during an interview with Dr Mustafa Barghouti, the general secretary of the Palestinian National Initiative, prompted a significant volume of complaints to Ofcom. We told TalkTV to take extra care to ensure that potentially highly offensive comments are editorially justified.

        Good Morning Britain, ITV1, 5 August – 16,851 complaints
The vast majority of complaints concerned an interview with Zarah Sultana, MP for Coventry South. Our assessment found that Ms Sultana was given ample opportunity to express her views and respond to the questions put to her. We also received around a thousand complaints about the same programme from viewers who objected to Ed Balls interviewing his wife, Yvette Cooper, the Home Secretary. We reminded ITV of the need to make such relationships clear to viewers and to take particular care over the compliance of any such interviews to ensure that due impartiality is preserved.

        Love Island, ITV2, 24 July – 1,832 complaints
Viewers complained about the behaviour of Joey Essex and Sean Stone in this episode. We recognised that emotionally charged or confrontational scenes can upset some viewers. But, in our view, negative behaviour in the villa was not shown in a positive light, and contestants were seen supporting or apologising to each other.

        Good Morning Britain, ITV1, 30 May – 1,777 complaints
Complaints followed a debate between two guests, Mike Parry and Kay Taiwo about whether XL bullies should be put down. While comments made by Mr Parry were potentially offensive to some viewers, they were met with significant challenge from dog trainer and XL Bully owner, Ms Taiwo, who put forward a strongly opposed point of view.

I reckon you’re right mm, as I read it, you can be fined for watching live tv without a licence, or watching iplayer, whether live or not. The goons need to prove that you are committing that “offence”. You aren’t fined for not having a licence.

If you simply cancel the direct debit, whether you tell them or not, I don’t think they can fine you for non-payment. In fact, I don’t see that you need to even inform them that you don’t need a licence.

That’s only my opinion; I’ve made assumptions here, and I’d welcome the views of fellow contributors. I cancelled eight years ago, so I’ve saved about 1200 quid. When I cancelled I received a few months rebate, which made informing them worth my while. It was after a particularly dire Christmas offering that I decided to cancel, even though my licence wasn’t due for renewal. My biggest fear is if the fee is added to general taxation, which I believe was the bbcs preferred route a few years back. I reckon it’ll get a big push at the charter review and TTk may see it as a way of forcing the propaganda into peoples homes.

So, let me ask if I’ve got this right….

A woman who chooses to dress like a man, has medical treatment on the NHS to undo the medical treatment on the NHS that she’s taking to help rearrange her body to be more like a man than a woman. She does this in order to be able to breastfeed a baby, which she was probably entirely capable of doing before she got herself into this crazy medical mess.

And the BBC thinks this is an enthralling breakthrough in the annals of ‘healthcare’, and proposes this will become common practice in the future. Hmmm…. this was apparently an ‘exciting’ development, soon and sure to become common practice. So, how’s that going for you, Beeb ?

Now, if the BBC had truthfully started the report with ‘Severely mentally disabled woman breastfeeds a baby…..’

As I read it, no. A transgender woman is biologically male so revoltingly it means a male taking drugs which enable them to lactate. 🤮 pervy and probably detrimental to the child.

        • richard D says:

          Hi, Loobyloo

I read up on this a bit as well, and I believe you are correct regarding transgender women. The article somewhat misled me – perhaps partly due due to my own lingual likes and dislikes – but if the person undergoing ‘transformation’ has not actually achieved the bqsics of that, then I am not clear how they can claim to be a woman at all – far less considering their genetic make-up fails to be able to meet the basic requirements of what science believes a woman to be.

So, re-interpretign, now we have a man fantasizing himself as a woman, who starts medical intervention to convert himsel into a ‘woman’, but has to stop that treatment and reverse the position in order to have medical treatment to create the said man capable of receiving treatment to enable him to lactate – like a woman.

As Jimi Hendrix so eloquently put an often misunderstood last two words in the lyric from the song ‘Purple Haze’….. ‘Scuse me while I kiss the sky’.

Probably a ‘medication’-induced event as well.

One truly remarkable aspect of the latest BBC scandal is the way in which defenders of the corporation make so many wild positive claims about it, beacon of truth, cherished national asset , force for good in the world etc etc.
But the most ludicrous is that the BBC exerts great soft power on Britain’s behalf and showcases our culture all around the world. This ceased to be true over thirty years ago.
The BBC defenders also refuse to accept that there is systemic bias despite there being abundant evidence that there certainly is. Of course once the BBC is found guilty of systemic bias the last vestige of justification for the Licence Fee or any tax payer funded income disappears .
But watching those who defend the BBC is certainly a great laugh, much better then any modern comedy.

Yet another BBC scandal is about to emerge, perhaps for some people even more damning than the Prescott dossier one.

You can watch an interview on You Tube on the Telegraph’s Daily T podcast of an interview of Andy Webb about the Panorama Princess Diana interview and the subsequent BBC cover up.The book is to be published next week.

Basically, the BBC top brass knew within weeks of the programme that Bashir had lied to and coerced a vulnerable Diana into saying things that led to her isolation and paranoia and ultimately contributed to her death.
What emerges is much more damning of the BBC than what has already been made public and has relevance even today because the BBC is still refusing to make its files available to Mr Webb. Indeed they have spent a million pounds of Licence Fee money on legal costs fighting FOI requests for these files. DG Tim Davie has full knowledge of this latest cover up.

The timing of the publishing of this book is exquisite and it must cause even more damage to the past and crucially present reputation of the BBC. Hopefully many people who don’t care much about President Trump or Gaza or Climate Change etc will care about this latest scandal and cancel their Direct Debits.

The Telegraph are doing a great job over the past week or so.

The BBC is to review its anti-science bias, in its climate change coverage.

However, the BBC’s chief Climate science adviser, Dr Greta Tintin Eleonora Ernman Thunberg (Dr.Th) advises that the BBC should not invite ‘climate deniers’ who deny that carbon dioxide causes global warming, like MIT Professor of Atmospheric Physics, Dr. Richard Lindzen who says that “Man-made Climate Change” is a quasi-religious movement predicated on an absurd scientific narrative. Also banned from the BBC review are scientists Piers Corbyn, Ned Nikolov, Karl Zeller and the many other Professors on the Academic Advisory Council of the GWPF. Also banned from the review are the thousands of scientists critical of the IPCC, such as these scientists: https://climatereviewblog.wordpress.com/scientists-about-the-un-ipcc

It’s almost as if the BBC decided to convince everyone that a woman can have a penis.”

“In the wake of the BBC’s decision to mark its own homework by referring climate change reporting to its Editorial Guidelines and Standards Committee, we would do well to acknowledge the sheer enormity of the crime against investigative journalism that has been perpetrated for over two decades. They have been willing and able to take a central role in inducing a mass climate psychosis in the general public that has been designed for purely political purposes.”

Gaslighting : ITV News investigation shows ‘new elevation’ of far-right threat in UK

Replies and quote tweets massacre them
When ITV taps up BLM fanboy Neil Basu for ‘expert’ comment on ‘muh far-right’ you know it’s peddling leftist activism, not journalism.

that ITV tweet is double ratioed
but how can it get even 347 Likes when all the replies and quote tweets go against them ?

The purpose of the BBC and British government behavioural scientists is to create a false-reality in the minds of the gullible. This pseudo-reality is assisted by Bullshit, Brainwashing and Communism (BBC). Millions of minds have been tainted, conned and betrayed by the relentless streams of evil Marxist bias and Communist propaganda churned out by the BBC. Patriotic Christians, Scientists, the Vaccine Injured and Rape victims are all entitled to sue the BBC for its propaganda, censorship, doctored edits, and fraudulent fact-checking. The British people must end BBC left-wing bias, propaganda, falsification of reports, secrecy and censorship. BBC bias is hard-baked into the fabric of the newsroom, dissent is punished. BBC Verify produce fake news by doctoring the truth at the whim of a Satanist. Like all socialist organisations, the BBC is the architect of deceit, fabrication, suppression and denial. Good riddance to the BBC. Destroy the BBC for the good of the nation. Tear down the wall of censorship and sack all the evil Satanists, Marxists, Communists and Socialists.

The Satanists have ordered OFCOM, the GCHQ Tempora team, the NSOIT, the NIIIT, the TNI, the 77th Brigade and the Four Eyes (TFE) to censor and silence critics, court witnesses, victims of rape and the vaccine injured, to protect Big Pharma and the Globalist Ecosystem from Harm, and are instructed to take action against the public, using brainwashing techniques to create behavioural and attitudinal changes to public opinion, using a vast militia of real, fake, and automated social media accounts to disseminate and amplify pro-state messaging, and discredit domestic enemies of the government as right-wing, pro-popular, pro-Russian, England flag waving, Christian fascists, who love Hitler, because he supported free speech.

Some old ex bbbc bloke on GB News coming out with the “bbc is the most trusted for news in the world” rubbish that the lefties often use.
These people will be the same ones who say “the NHS is the envy of the world”

I don’t know how they keep a straight face when coming out with this brainwashed rubbish.

I am tendering my resignation because for some time past I have been conscious that I was wasting my own time and the public money on doing work that produces no result. I believe that in the present political situation the broadcasting of British propaganda to India is an almost hopeless task. Whether these broadcasts should be continued at all is for others to judge, but I myself prefer not to spend my time on them when I could be occupying myself with journalism which does produce some measureable effect. I feel that by going back to the normal work of writing and journalism I could be more useful than I am at present.

Trump Says He Will Sue BBC for up to $5 Billion Next Week Over Jan. 6 Speech Edit

Trump was asked if he thinks the BBC’s apology and decision to retract the documentary were enough to resolve the matter.

Trump said “We’ll sue them for anywhere between a billion and $5 billion, probably sometime next week,” “I think I have to do it, I mean, they’ve even admitted that they cheated. Not that they couldn’t have not done that. They cheated. They changed the words coming out of my mouth.”

Trump said he plans to speak with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer about the matter over the weekend, noting that Starmer had tried to reach out to him and was “very embarrassed” by what happened.

Trump said “The people of the UK are very angry about what happened as you can imagine, because it shows the BBC is fake news,” “That’s a pretty sad event. They actually changed my January 6 speech, which was a beautiful speech, which was a very calming speech, and they made it sound radical.”: https://www.theepochtimes.com/us/trump-says-he-will-sue-bbc-for-up-to-5-billion-next-week-over-jan-6-speech-edit-5945121
