Am happy to go first. The BBC is biased. Against Israel, against President Trump, against Nigel Farage and The Reform Party (just like the rest of the MSM) see today’s Daily Mirror:https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c36zp0ny487o. We need to defund the BBC. The BBC TV Programmes over Christmas have just been announced. Pretty dire collection. Buy your Christmas Cards from a charity shop and while you are at the charity shop buy a video to watch on your PC!

Complete with non-woke Christmas adverts 🙂 I don’t need to tune in to a TV channel at all. Just eat and watch. The hardest part is getting Mr P to wait until December before watching all the Christmassy videos.

Today : Police release footage to trial of the Palestine Action members. It shows the attack on PC Kate Evans with a sledgehammer.
This is distressing. She still isn’t back to normal duties.

Lots of big names called them non-violent

I voted against proscribing Palestine Action.
Britain has a long tradition of non-violent direct action to oppose injustice and war: From the suffragettes to anti-Iraq war protests.
It is absurd and authoritarian to conflate non-violent direct action with terrorists like ISIS.

Democrats who told troops to disobey illegal orders push back on alleged FBI probe
    https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cze832dr2n0o

Another BBC ‘Lie by constrained headline’.

By dedicating the article to their ‘pushback’, the article then contains exclusively anti-Trump rhetoric sourced directly from the Democrats themselves. And as such it’s as partisan as it could possibly be.

The key point for this story to me is that when one was asked which orders Trump had given were illegal, she could not name a single one. Which means it is pure encouragement to troops to disobey orders.

Once again the BBC are so blinkered by their leftism and hate for Trump they are on the wrong side of the argument.

Someone please rid us of their poison.

Biden was the most unknowingly corrupt President ran by other people … ha ha aha ha hah ah !

      ……….

A day after US President Joe Biden struggled through a 90-minute debate that only served to fuel voter concerns about his age and fitness, Jill Biden stood before well-heeled donors at a New York fundraiser and tried to explain what they had all witnessed.

“‘You know, Jill, I don’t know what happened. I didn’t feel that great,'” the president had confessed, she told them. “I said, ‘Look, Joe, we are not going to let 90 minutes define the four years that you’ve been president.’”

lol – whenever I see that view now, I will remember when they were ALL huddled together on the bottom right seat for a speech by Farage.

I thought it odd they should choose to sit so far away from the front. I soon found out why : it was so they could heckle him and try to put him off. And when he asked for order, the speaker interrupted HIM and said she would control the order. I don’t know who they were, but I bet they were all Labour and Lib-Dems.

It was one of those defining moments where you suddenly realise things. In this case it was that democracy in our country was dead.

Look how the BBC are protecting Lammy. They know the racist, fat oaf is a National object of ridicule – so they do their trick of referring to him by a title instead.

This should be full-on, headline news. But the BBC have hidden it in a sub-pane at the bottom of the news page. It makes Starmers two-tier justice much easier. The BBC are fine with it because it will be used exclusively to oppress right-wing white people.

If it were Trump, it would be ‘Trump wants jury trials scrapped’.

As I keep saying, the Nazis are back and are adapted to modern times. They know they can’t use guns and concentration camps against their ideological enemies these days – but they would if they could.

Saw this at the start of a ‘Spectator’ article:

‘Everyone’s moaning about political bias at the BBC. They have done for years. And they’ll continue to. The right’s accusations that the BBC is anti-Trump and anti-Israeli are mirrored by the left’s accusations that the BBC is pro-Israel and reluctant to criticise Brexit. This indicates the difficulty of the broadcaster’s role, and suggests it’s probably doing something right.’

This is the classic Lefty reasoning why the BBC is not biased. The author is Michael Day who was an editor for the i-newspaper and ‘The Independent’. Both right on the Left side of the spectrum. I have no idea what he is doing at ‘The Spectator’ where most of the articles from him are anti-Trump.

This argument that the BBC must be doing some things right because both sides complain is absolute rubbish. The Left’s real complaint is not that the BBC are biased to the Right : they complain that they are not biased enough to the Left.

His example of not criticising Brexit enough is just ridiculous. Why would the BBC dedicate news to simply complaining about something which was the result of a referendum and is finished. Whining about it will not change it. And there is no question whatsoever they were biased AGAINST Brexit before the referendum.

Instead Michael should ask himself what the BBC have ever reported which SUPPORTS the democratic result of Brexit. I can’t think of a single thing. Instead they hand out EU flags for people to wave at the Proms and things like that.

And biased pro-Israel ?????. I never heard such rubbish. This is the kind of story Israel write about the BBC:

‘From tears for Arafat to ‘Death to the IDF’: How BBC’s Israel coverage has gone from bad to worse’
‘Top bosses at the BBC have quit over documentary about Trump – but longstanding allegations of anti-Israel bias have soured British Jews’ confidence in national broadcaster’

I have read elsewhere that the complaints are that the BBC do not cover all the attacks against Hamas which kill civilians in enough detail. Again an absolute nonsense argument because those civilians were killed because Hamas fought from within them. The responsibility lies with them. Michael must have missed the bit in the recent BBC report about anti-Israel bias from the BBC which totally rubbishes his argument.

Sorry Michael, you are part of the same problem as the BBC. God alone knows why you are at The Spectator.

The answer , at least in part,to your question in the last sentence is that the Spectator is a globalist publication. The editor Gove , despite allegedly being a Leaver , is a full on Globalist , which makes me wonder if he was playing a double game during the referendum debate .
The BBC is highly valuable to the Globalists because it feeds the British people a carefully designed diet of propaganda and has done for thirty or forty years.
No mainstream politician will take an axe to it , they may call for radical change but they won’t force change on it. Only a Reform government with a substantial majority will try to deal with the BBC.
They will meet with tremendous opposition from the Globalist Blob and will need The public to refuse to pay the Licence Fee in their millions. Basically if you vote Reform you must cancel you Direct Debit.
But there is no need to wait for the next GE ,take direct action today and cancel your DD. Show the BBC how much you despise them.

Just look at the video the BBC have put up for this article. It is a 100% pre-rehearsed hit-job. It’s acting a set piece, not interviewing.

Have you ever heard of such a specific question and an immediate response like this ?. It’s absolutely fake.

‘What do you remember about how you and Nigel Farage interacted ?’.

What kind of a question is that except one set up to match a pre-decided response.

He may have said some things he regrets but I don’t believe for one second he REPEATEDLY went up to a Jew and said ‘Hitler was right. Gas em’.

I did a search to see if he was another BBC activist and it turns out he is a luvvie who made a documentary called MqQueen which was shown on the BBC:

    From AI:
BBC Connection: The BBC featured the film across its platforms. Ettedgui and Bonhôte were interviewed on BBC Radio London’s Robert Elms show to discuss their work. The documentary itself was also made available for viewing on platforms like BBC Two

The link is not mentioned anywhere in the article.

    Nippy edition

Just a quick couple of references to the impending budget and then – in contrast with our First Female Chancellor – who has been leaking, briefing and flying kites like it’s going out of fashion, your Mr AsI will return to a state of purdah – until after Rachel from accounts has opened her cute little clutchbag… I mean her serious ministerial red despatch box.

Rachel Reeves is sick of people mansplaining to her… “I don’t think even I had realised the misogyny that still exists in public life,” said Reeves, who knows feminist territory well (Independent)

We’ll quote just a couple of the best popular tabloid-style punning headlines this morning and for balance a grovelling sycophantic one from the in-the-tank for Labour Mirror and then quickly move on to other matters.

Who’s big idea was it to set the budget just prior to Christmas? The giveaway adsheet Metro provides an anti-festive fiscal weather forecast in a form that may resonate with fans of Game of Thrones

After months of leaks… Reeves budget day… Skinter is coming (Metro)

The freebie friend of the big supermarkets laments: Booze, sugar, nights away and even your latte coffee to go up with millions paying more… she tells Labour MPs… this is not a pick and mix (Metro)

The jokey blokey Star picks up the theme: Chancellor milks us for all we’re worth… Reeves shake down… Oh sugar! Fizzy drink and milk tax… I’m the milkshake snatcher

Whereas: Help is at hand… Rachel Reeves works on her Budget speech yesterday… wage rises for millions of low-paid workers… (Mirror) – paid by who exactly? Presumably via higher consumer prices.

    So that’s all OK then.

Perhaps our media has been stung by Rachel’s mansplaining misogyny moans as just when the weather gets nippy the Mail goes with a mammary feature this morning: Why, in my 50s, I’ll breastfeed my new baby boy until he’s three

One senses this is part of a somewhat coordinated psyop to reassure young women who have been forced into the workforce by our liberal regime that they still yet might have a family even if they put it off until long after their prime.

Of couse our BBC takes the idea a bit further…

‘I would love to be doing this in my 60s’ – the debate over selling sex in Scotland… The 26-year-old says that being self-employed allows her to be flexible with her working hours, which helps with childcare… Porcelain Victoria has been selling sex for eight years… is concerned that a change in the law could drive sex workers into poverty (Annabel Maclennan, Eòrpa (Europe) is a long-running Scottish Gaelic-language current affairs programme broadcast on BBC Alba.) – Well, luv, you should worry, I guess soon enough Rachel Reeves will be taxing it.

Adolescence lasts until your 30s according to new research (Guardian) – although if you’re Keir Starmer Adolescence is your favourite TV documentary.

The left-leaning junior Gruan does a female celeb angst interview that chimes with the theme: Hannah Fry… They called me ‘a nubile young woman’. I’ve got three degrees

When will I see you again…?

We haven’t heard much from the gays of late. I guess it’s a bit nippy for letting it all hang out at a Pride Parade. Anyway, for balance, as they say, here’s a gay-friendly feature: Yes, real men should wear pink – the formerly serious Times of London.

The rude mechanical tabloids went with pick n mix… the middle class centrist dad regime mouthpiece goes with: ‘Smorgasbord’ budget (Times) – sorry, I slipped out of purdah there.

How’s that net Zero electric cars plan workin’ out fo’ yer?

Electric car sick… You’re not imagining it, EVs do make you feel nauseous (i paper)

Made in China Cost savings electrify VW… Volkswagen has said it can make electric vehicles in China for half the price as elsewhere, delivering a blow to its German manufacturing heartland (FT)

    Meanwhile, made in Croydon

Iranian nuclear scientists sell products with key components made in Croydon (FT) – there’s a joke in there somewhere but frankly I’ve lost the motivation. Have a good day, won’t you.

There’s something perverse about having to pay the bbbc if you want to legally watch GB News.

If the bbbc want to keep the licence fee going it should be fairly divided between all the channels.
As GB News gets more viewers than bbbc/sky/itvnews it should be given an appropriate sum from the licence fee.

The more people who want to watch GB News the more people will have to have a bbc licence. The bbbc are profiteering from other channels.
A case could be made that the bbbc is stealing legitimate revenue from all the other channels.

It was only reading in the comments about the Motorbility scheme, that I read about the salary sacrifice scheme within the NHS. Folks who worked for our esteemed health service can buy their cars through a scheme where the cost is deducted from their gross income ie before tax. A quick on line search suggests discounts of £10,000 plus on some models. The striking doctors don’t mention that perk. If you add all the cars purchased through Motorbility and all that are sold through the NHS schemes, it is no wonder us mere mortals cannot afford new cars.

At least it appears the blue light card for our NHS workers is no longer offering such generous discounts at the supermarkets although the list of companies giving a discount appears large and there are still some supermarket offers.

I dreamt of a King on his steed on Kent beaches slashing dinghies with his sabre then swimming across the channel to the source of the invasion, the Jupiter King President Macron.

I awoke to a King swirling in a toilet like a discarded tampax, the the last words of the tampax King where “We have no borders, windfarms are a blot but bring me money. Inshallah.”

I dreamt of a Prime Minister who knew that a man had a penis, who looked forward to 650 debating for their constituents and who wanted to smash some gangs like his USA President.

I awoke to a man saying everyone can have a cervix, Davos is better than Parliament and the only only gangs that got smashed were a bunch of Ukrainian arsonists.

I dreamt of a Chancellor who knew how money worked, who wanted to reduced taxes and reduce the burden of Government.

I awoke to a lady called Reeves who wrote a book on modern economics (forwarded by Mark Carney) that was copied from Wiki, a lady increased business taxes and carries on with diversity hires in the NHS whilst the waiting lists go up.

But the cost of living for a skiver on benefits with six fat kids will have quite a lot more money for a free house, a bigger TV, more foreign fags and plenty of cheap wife-beater to slug back all day while watching day-time trash…

Every speech etc, even the king’s, is released early these days.

“The Budget is already out there thanks to the Office for Budget Responsibility’s error.”

It’s not an error, it happens so frequently.
Interesting what the psychology is behind doing these pre releases?

In 19752025, Rod Stewart became a tax exile, moving to Los Angeles to avoid the high top rate of income tax in the Labour UK, which was then 83%. This move was prompted by the high tax burden, which he and others felt made it “not worth living in England any more” for wealthy individuals

My wife remains an ardent Royalist and is very concerned that Fergie may spill the bans about several proto Royal scandals and doing the family great harm.
My own reaction is that had this been during the late Queen’s reign I would have felt the same but no longer. King Charles has broken my patriotism , at least my patriotism as expressed through support for the monarchy. I think he wants to be King of the Commonwealth much more than the King of England. William seems to have the same outlook.

    Not BBC

Having listened to the budget and monitored my bit of the market ( where I trade at a small level ) there seems to be relief that Rachel didn’t go as far as was leaked .

The benefits addicts will be pleased – for a while – but I don’t think many others will be pleased . I am reminded of how much of a capitalist – and welfare person i am – im not rich …but I believe in self reliance and personal effort . The Marxists are my enemy – as much as Islam ….

How is the BBC doing ? They must be over the moon .

      • micknotmike says:

Lot of copper, i.e. money in those cables, Fed!
Trouble is that the cables need to be that thick to pass the super-high charging current, in fact I believe the super-duper ones are water-cooled!

Two ways to lower charging times further :- make the cables even heavier, (Drivers are already complaining about them being too cumbersome), or increase the charging voltage, which involves modifying the cars and all manner of elf ‘n’ safety matters.
The cables could be replaced with environmentally preferable alternatives, seaweed or recycled wind turbines, maybe?

More on topic for the site, how can the bbc spin it, either tax electric cars, or tax something else. I can’t see their financial team blaming it on President Donald Trump, either.

The post budget ‘debate ‘ was a nix of DEI Marxist wimmin reading out Labour HQ scripts and the occasional bright light such as Edward Leigh – who apologised for some Tory failure in the last government – there were so many I’ve forgotten which one it was …

I’ve got an idea for the next budget . After the run away success of ‘free ‘ breakfast clubs – the ones I pay for – let’s have ‘tea’ or supper ‘ clubs ….

In fact – let’s keep the poverty ridden darlings at school all the time ‘ they can all be ‘ boarding schools ‘ – leaving their feckless ‘parents ‘ all the time they need to breed more ….

… speaking of which – I think I heard that the only place where breeding is above the decline is Luton …. Honest … so I wonder who is doing that then ….?
