The BBC has achieved a lot in 2025 – about 800 000 less TV licences – lost a DG and Head of News after getting caught falsifying a broadcast – continued to support a corrupt Starmer Regime / Islamic terrorist group – sought to undermine Israel at every opportunity – undermined Christianity wherever possible continued to ignore Pakistani rape gangs still infecting communities.
We wish Britain a happy 2026 – but we know it won’t be .
I’m waiting for Brissles to make it two in a row for her. The BBC are really nasty over the TellyTax as I posted on that subject on Monday this week. The BBC are greedy for cash. The BBC support Old Labour & TTK. The BBC have Trump Displacement Syndrome really badly and they also, like the rest of the MSM, do not like Nigel Farage and Reform. They hope TTK will survive and see off the threat of Reform.
Echo FedUp2’s wishes for the UK but I think it will be gloomier still especially with the TellyTax in place.
Hard to disagree with your points, Up2snuff. If anyone’s still paying the Telly Tax, remind them of this “little list” of BBC-related degenerates:
Jimmy Savile
Stuart Hall
Huw Edwards
Rolf Harris
Chris Denning
Dave Lee Travis
Clement Freud
Michael Barrymore
Jonathan King
Mark Page
Peter Rowell
Chris Langham
and others less well known.
They’re just the ones who are seen and listened to by a gullible public.
Wonder what happens in the ‘back rooms’ as well? So many tax-paid servants in the bBC – maybe a few others need a bit of a ‘discussion’?
Allegedly, (?), stats must say that HR must have quite a handful to deal with in Beeboid Towers. It happens in every other large organisation…
But the BBC has by its failure to report on the Muslim rape and torture gangs enabled crimes thousands of times worse to go unpunished for decades. It was and continues to be gross dereliction of it’s charter and it’s single biggest failure of the British people.
I’m here Snuffie in the old saddle riding shotgun !!
I’ll send my greetings to all now for a healthier 2026, and hope that the BBC implodes like a black hole with shooting “stars” flying off in all directions – preferably to other countries.
I’m hosting NY tomorrow evening with a batch of neighbours availing themselves of my considerable fayre – and like noisy teenagers will stumble home across the road 😀 after midnight.
Thank you Fed for your considerable endeavours in keeping this site going, it’s much appreciated ( and for the annoyance that was dealt with earlier in the year )
Brissles, my dear old thing, well England men have won a match in the Ashes series at last! 🙂 I was hoping that Brissles might get a ‘two in a row’ or even a ‘three in a row’.
Echo your good wishes to Fed. And does Robert do stuff on the techie side still? My good wishes to both for a happy and peaceful 2026.
Hope your bash goes well, Brissles.
This is the problem where the old establishment provide the defence and the new establishment are a bunch of arrogant and entitled marxists whose philosophy has never been tested.
My question is who will bother to turn up and fight should there be a threat to the UK.
The government can throw money at an army but I am not sure that the marxists have enabled a consensus to exist which will enable a defence of the realm.
From a personal perspective I would now not be prepared to fight for the UK. It is for the new establishmmet to chose its fighters from the surried ranks of the many protestors groups. Needless to say the gutless marxists will fail (unless the army becomes a tool of internal repression)
https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2025/12/30/labour-risks-destroying-our-special-forces-warn-sas-chiefs/
Good points, Non LP, and the potential for Scrobs to consider fighting for Starmer and his far-left confusion has now been whittled down to absolute NO…
If Starmer continues to cancel elections, and ‘democracy’, (for what it is worth here now), is postponed indefinitely, there will be also the problem of another 200,000 illegal arrivals on our shores, before he is dragged bleating to the ballot box, because he’ll be ordered to by none other than King Charles.
That’s nearly two army’s worth of fighting foreigners ready to shriek obscenities and fight for their satanic ‘religion’, and the prospects are not good for Indigenous British Citizens.
With any luck – and don’t we need it – the bBC will be folding soon through the tax revenue plummeting, but other outlets will quickly fill the gaps with fired leftie journos, scrabbling for a ‘job’.
Happy New Year everybody…
Don’t forget TTK will have all the Just stop oil lot laying down in front of Russian Tanks and the Green lot glueing their hands on Russian missiles launchers and Artillery.
If that doesn’t stop the Russians I don’t know what will.
Hows about the stop oil idiots lying down in all the potholes that need filling!
Two problems sorted at the same time!
Why not surrender to the Russians, hand over some British territory, like Luton, Liverpool , Manchester, and most of London.
Who would believe that ex-BBC Marr likes the Egyptian extremist.
You would think that Starmer could do at least one thing that was good for Britain. Does he not see how far down he is in the polls? He must do. So the only reason he carries on destroying this country is because he will probably cancel elections. He seems to want to do it in 64 council areas with no quarms.
Yesterday two arch Globalist commentators , Andrew Neil and Steven Daisley of the Spectator, both declared that it was the prime duty of democratic governments to defend their borders and that successive British governments had failed to do this .
I’m not sure that Globalists should think this way , open borders and one world ought to be their mantra. Perhaps the downsides of Globalism is finally dawning on these two.
Daisley went much further he said that in the past year he had been forced to become strongly anti immigration having previously been proponents of it. He had realised that mass immigration changed a country ( who would have thought it!) and in Britain’s case very much for the worse.
There are an increasing number of journalists, columnists , commentators who are now daring to say similar things.Their numbers are still small but only a year ago I don’t think that Daisley would have dared to write this.
I must also say that under Gove’s editorship the Spectator is featuring more articles from those who are unhappy with the Uniparty and Blairism , and Islam is frequently put under the microscope and many unpleasant truths told. Gove is doing a better job than I expected.
Starmer has form defending radical islamists and hate preachers in his days as a “human rights lawyer”.
(Human rights lawyer = pro-terrorist, anti-western, anti-British traitor.)

The radical cleric Abu Qatada, aka Osama Bin Laden’s ambassador in Europe, cost UK taxpayers over £1.7 million in legal and deportation-related expenses.
The UK spent over a decade trying to send him back to Jordan on terror charges. The barrister who defended him in court… Keir Starmer.
Enemies of the Realm must be identified and deported to St Helena.

If you have a spare 15 minutes (or ten on 1.5 speed !)- re TV Licensing. A bit of waffling.
Our BBC relegates the Daily Express to their lowly and-finally spot in their online newspaper line-up – but the embarrassing headline report presages one of your Mr AsI’s top predictions for 2026…
Meddling Euro judges take on Shamima case… Begum’s UK return bid was revived as Strasbourg judges challenged Britain’s stance on the jihadi bride… Her lawyers welcomed the “opportunity”… Exclusive – Express – that’s right, the notorious d’Artagnan of the Three Mosqueteers… coming home to Blighty in 2026…?
Those un-bukared doleful big brown brown eyes, under the incongruous baseball cap, are peering out at us once again, from the cover page of the Express … must never be allowed to set foot in the UK again, says Robert Jenrick (Express)
That’ll be this Robert Jenrick: As Home Secretary and Immigration Minister, Robert Jenrick oversaw significant efforts to resettle Afghans after the 2021 Taliban takeover, bringing tens of thousands to the UK through schemes like the Afghan Relocations and Assistance Policy (ARAP) and Afghan Citizens Resettlement Scheme (ACRS) to provide safe, legal routes, housing, and support for integration – thank you A.I.
Alaa… be praised
Well, if this chap was the test case par exellence of British official attitude: Activist will keep British citizenship, say sources… The Home Office will not strip British-Egyptian activist Alaa Abd el-Fattah of his citizenship because of his “abhorrent” past social media posts do not meet the legal bar for such sanction… (Guardian)
– if it please, m’lud, the law is an ass.
Mind you, regarding my predictions, I think I speculated Begum would be back here last year.
And speaking of repeat predictions: Why 2026 is Keir Starmer’s make or break year ( Chris Mason, Political editor BBC)
I’m sure last year’s Budget was supposed to be the make or break for Labour? One can’t help but read this article as our rather geeky BBC chap giving Starmer another chance next year. As I read politics Keir’s turkey of a premiership is ready plucked, stuffed and well and truly cooked… his wishbone broke and the meat stripped down to the bones and parcelled out as cold sandwiches.
How’s that cheap Green energy workin’ out fo’ yer?
Gas boiler owners face an annual fee to fund more heat pumps… subsidise… plan set to be unveiled by Ed Miliband in the new year (Times)
More pen-pushers
Civil servant headcount grows despite Starmer vow – a nice example of the old journalistic ‘despite’ there from the FT
More bobbies sitting at their desks gazing into their computer screens
Gavin Stephenson, chair man of the National Police Chiefs council, said… More bobbies on the beat will not curb petty crime… technology such as retrospective facial recognition was the most effective way to fight crime (Telegraph)

‘I’ve had wonderful support from women’, says incoming Archbishop of Canterbury
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cx2lgge2jd3o
Another excellent example of how warped the mentaility of the BBC has become, they don’t even realise when something is simply blatantly sexist. That support is because she is woman and not a man. No other reason.
They write headlines like this because they know that in the Leftist groupthink bubble they exist within, nobody will criticise them in any way. They are so utterly clueless about the real world now, it doesn’t even occur to them that they are being sexist. In fact they would br criticised if they even suggested it for ‘not being helpful to the agenda’. They think they are standing up for victims.
It’s quite clear why the BRITISH Broadcasting Corporation’s MUSLIM religious editor got his job:

I wonder how many Muslim countries have Christians as head of anything religious. What a complete embarassment the BBC have become.
The sheer number of women not going near Radio 4 in support on social media must be a concern for such an X obsessed establishment
The Marxist fools won’t not stop until we have a real Mutaween – Birmingham + Tower Hamlets first to have uniformed religious police ?
General question for friends here – is Grokipedia a good bet? They seem to want quite a lot of information to register!
I’m not sure if I want to pay for it, and if the ‘free’ version is just a ‘lite’ page or two, maybe I’ll stick to the devil I know!
As it is using AI it just seems to farm its information from the web. Some articles I have looked at on “controversial” issues are almost identical to wikopedia. Maybe its just early days and this will change. There is also one called Conservapedia but this does not have a lot of content compared to wikopedia
The more you quiz AI, the more you realise it is just the sum of the internet parts.
It’s great for doing massive amounts of research for you – but when I ask it about the BBC, most of the reasons it has to argue against me are things published by the BBC themselves.
And there are some things it just doesn’t want to tell you about. You have to specifically pin it down.
Agree. It is an aggregator erring on volume rather than quality.
Has its uses, but when challenged and I see BBC TNI partners quoted as main sources… 🥹
I am half way through a Rubin Report with Ashley Rindsberg on YouTube. Mr Rindsberg is explaining how AI is all linked with Wikipedia and the Far Left manipulation. Wasn’t the Wikipedia founder a mate of Tony Blair’s and extremely wealthy ? It is why I have been tempted to give Wikipedia a penny.
Mr D has noticed I left out the word ‘not’ in the above post. I don’t think I did, I think my spellcheck has been programmed to change the meaning of my posts. To be clear, I have never given Wikipedia a penny.
Many thanks for these replies everyone!
I guess that AI is just a big fat search engine, which is , admittedly getting fatter, but can’t actually call itself ‘intelligence’!

Rodney Starmer’s – Christmas and New Year “Top Priorities”
1. Top Priority – Getting a ‘Jew, British and Police’ hating Egyptian into the country.
2. “Smash the gangs”
3. Try to engineer a job in EU, Davos or other Globalist Organisation for himself before the labour rabble show him the door.
4. Continue to obfuscate on the investigation of Pakistani grooming gangs and hold no-one responsible with his friend Jess Phillips.
5. Pretend that the economy is doing well along with his partner Rachel. Remember Rachel has stated that Starmer is fully onboard with the ‘approach’ she (they together) have taken.
6. Continue to say next to nothing about Net-zero and Millipede.
7. Increase the amount of borrowing and maximise the debt of the country that will cripple any attempt of future UK governments to turn things round.
8. Get free eye test and glasses through Lord Ali’s spec savers and more new knickers for the Mrs, more free tickets for Taylor Swift Concert, Arsenal Football Club, and any other freeby going.
9. Continue to advise and support a 2-tier judiciary.
10. To not admit that he is a Globalist-Marxist who is prepared to sacrifice this country and others for the “greater cause”.
PS: Could also include Farmers, Pensioners, Unemployment, Benefits, Lack of growth, Chagos, Payments to France (for what), etc..,
Say hello to Jasem
He had better flee the USA damn quick and go to somewhere where his views are more welcome. Like Starmer’s Britain for example.
I’ve seen something of this in Ireland…. I was quite surprised to see near 100% of the taxi drivers (that I used) in Waterford being Nigerian several years ago – quizzing them (with the benefit of 20 + years me working frequently in Nigeria) – I got the distinct impression that they were milking it until they were found out and that there was some organisation behind their presence.
12 books you need to read in 2026 (Emma Saunders, Culture reporter, BBC)
Let’s guess the theme of the number one pick on the reading list: Heartstopper Volume 6 by Alice Oseman (2 July 2026, Hachette Children’s)… graphic novel series which has followed the lives of Nick and Charlie, two teenage boys who fall for each other at school.
Not to my taste, I’m afraid. Next up…
Land by Maggie O’Farrell…Set in Ireland in 1865 in the aftermath of the devastating Great Hunger… explores themes of loss, survival and migration
Moving further along the BBC bookshelf…
The Last of Earth by Deepa Anappara… to Tibet in an epic historical tale of adventure, as two unlikely adventurers – an Indian teacher spying for the British Empire and an English female explorer who has been rejected by the all-male Royal Geographical Society… a thrilling and profound tale of secret personal ambition set against the backdrop of colonialist expansion.
Are we perhaps beginning to discern one or two recurring themes here?
Fruit Fly by Josh Silver… sees the world of wealthy author Mallory collide with addict and sex worker Leo after she downloads a gay hook-up app in a bid to find some inspiration for her next bestseller… Doctor Who and It’s A Sin screenwriter Russell T Davies has also had a sneak peek ahead of publication: “This is an incredible book… tough and raw and merciless but funny and kind at the same time.” If it’s good enough for Russell, it’s good enough for us.
There must be something here on the reading list that’s not banging on about leftist hot button issues?
Hooked by Asako Yuzuki… Butter, brought her to a global audience last year when it became her first book to be translated into English. The ambitious thriller had us all salivating over its luscious and sensory foodie descriptions and enthralled by its themes of fat-shaming, beauty standards and misogyny… new novel, Hooked… protagonist Eriko, who works in the seafood industry and is aiming to reintroduce a controversial fish into the Japanese market. – at last we’ve apparently alighted on some volume that’s vaguely less woke.
AsISeeIt – and Radio 4 is simply choc full of similar stuff….

My book group are disbelieving as I note that most modern popular fiction is written from a Left perspective. Light chic lit may have a snide comment about Trump and a throw away line about Boris. I am presently reading Precipice written by Robert Harris about Asquith at the start of WW1 and him writing to Venetia Stanley. Every time Churchill is mentioned, it emphasises his gung-ho warmongering, description of Venetia’s life is laced with a sneer at the upper classes. I googled Robert Harris. Turns out he grew up on a council estate and was an active member of the Labour party. Maybe he is right about Churchill, but his dislike for Churchill oozes with every mention. Venetia came from a wealthy family. Harris should get over it. Sneering now doesn’t change history.
Earlier on, Vlad has a comment showing TTK having defended 18 Islamic terror suspects.
I’ve no doubt Hermer has similar stats.
We are told lawyers get the next case on the pile, they cannot cherrypick their cases.
If that is the case I would like to know how many Right wing terrorists this pair have defended.
If, as we are constantly told, Right wing terrorism is the greatest threat I would expect each of this duo to have defended far more Right wing terrorists than the ones Vlad puts in his comment. TTK must have defended many more than 18 Right wing terrorists.
Anybody know the numbers.
It is surely impossible that TTK and his mates keep on randomly only getting Islamic terrorist cases, what are the odds? It’s like flipping a coin 18 times and every time it is heads.
Either there’s NOT this random top of the pile system where the lawyers can’t pick and choose their cases or there’s a lack of Right wing terrorists to go round even though the powers that be keep on telling us they are the biggest threat.
Of course, both things are fiddled.
They do get the cases they want and there’s almost zero Right wing terrorists out there.
Somebody (GB News?) should investigate this and give us the true figures instead of the propaganda ones we are supposed to believe.
I SAW A MUCH LONGER LIST ELSEWHERE
Lord Hermer has defended a diverse range of individuals, including:
Abid Naseer: A key figure in an Al-Qaeda terror cell, who was later convicted in the US for plotting a bomb attack on a shopping center in Manchester.
Gerry Adams: Former Sinn Féin leader, who was involved in a case where he was being sued for damages by victims of three IRA bomb attacks.
Shamima Begum: An Islamist bride who was killed in a bombing attack in the UK.
Mustafa al-Hawsawi: One of the individuals involved in the 9/11 attacks.
Abu Zubaydah: Former Guantánamo Bay detainee, who was involved in a Supreme Court case against the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO).
These cases have raised questions about the potential conflicts of interest and the ability of Lord Hermer to act impartially as the government’s chief legal adviser.
I think hermer is the head or doughty street chambers – the same one as starmer . Looking at wiki they delight in representing evil – whether ira or islamic terrorism.
Shakespear had a view about lawyers . He wasnt wrong .
Labour has a pattern for PMs giving their boy a leg up – blair did it with faulkner – but not to such an extreme effect
After surviving the importing or an egyptian terrorist Ttk will find getting the begum terrorist to the UK pretty easy ..,
A lawyer friend periodically cites the ‘Taxi rank’ nature of lawyers but I’ve always thought it was a load of tosh.
Lawyers specialise. Geoffrey Robertson, Michael Mansfield, George Carmen, and the guy that used to get the rich and famous off driving bans, Princess Diana’s divorce lawyer to name but five. My friend specialises on family law.
None of them majored on wills, probate, or house sales as far as I know. If they did, it never made the national news.
Facebook (I refuse to call them Meta)
I’m still surprised when I ask people about Facebook – “do you use Facebook?” >>> “”no”
Do you use WhatsApp or Instagram ? – often “yes”
“Mark Zuckerberg says Facebook restricting a story about Joe Biden’s son during the 2020 election was based on FBI misinformation warnings. The New York Post alleged leaked emails from Hunter Biden’s laptop showed the then vice-president was helping his son’s business dealings in Ukraine. Facebook and Twitter restricted sharing of the article, before reversing course amid allegations of censorship.
Zuckerberg said that getting the decision wrong “sucks”.”

Description
Somalia Stability Fund III will work to build stability in Somalia. It will do so by deepening understanding of the core underlying causes and drivers of conflict and instability. It will address them in ways that help widen and deepen the political settlement (agreements between different political actors), at multiple levels, and help build resilience to conflict and violence when these political settlement processes inevitably come under stress.

……….
The people of Thar Desert have little to no electricity access. Those that have access, use diesel polluting generators to produce this electricity, while fuel supply is unreliable and intermittent. The Thar is the most populous desert in the world, with approximately 16.6m people living there. Tharis are far behind the Pakistani average on economic skills. They rely predominantly on agriculture/livestock and “Thari crafts” (ornate embroidered/sewn garments such as quilts and cushions) to survive. The Thari women who make these crafts are extremely hardworking and talented, spirited and committed. Empowering women can change the destiny of Tharparkari people. However, the unavailability of electricity needed to power productivity enhancing stitching/sewing machines, means these women must make every stitch painstakingly by hand. As such, garment making is incredibly slow, laborious, and they are unable to leverage their skills to benefit their families and the wider village community. By the end of 2026, SolarERA systems will be ready to provide a unique electrification solution that will benefit these people by affording them access to off-grid electricity and in turn electric sewing/craft machines, and in doing so revolutionise their current economic situation. As a result, Thari-crafts can form the bedrock of the economic model that will provide microfinance institutions with the confidence to offer the initial investment to fund the SolarERA pico-grids. From this key initial electrification enabler, further downstream benefits can flow in relation to Health and Well-being, Education and Learning, Communication and Connectivity etc. Additionally, SolarERA will serve to preserve the age-old Thari crafts skills of these women, passed down by successive generations for centuries. The benefits to project partners are clear, major growth in jobs (25-UK, 125-PAK) and economic activity (£22.5million in revenues) by 2031. Kunwaa Foundation will be able to achieve its aim of improving the lives of the Thar people more easily and faster. SALATEEN will become a leader in the supply and installation of pico-grids across Pakistan and neighbouring countries. Zhyphen will see a significant boost in exports of critical technology for the enablement of low-cost off-grid solar solutions, enhancing it and Brunel-University-London’s reputation as leaders in this area

Afghanistan goes back to dark ages: Taliban rulers have ordered dozens to be killed by stoning and four convicts to be executed by pushing a wall onto them
The Taliban have ordered dozens of people to be killed by stoning and four convicts to be executed by having walls collapsed onto them, exposing the scale of brutality under the regime.
Figures released by the Taliban’s own Supreme Court show the group also publicly flogged more than 1,000 people across Afghanistan in 2025, including at least 150 women.
The data points to a sharp rise in corporal punishment, with Kabul recording the highest number of cases.
Official Taliban statements reveal that 1,030 people were whipped in public this year for offences including theft, running away from home and acts deemed contrary to Islamic law.
The number of floggings in 2025 is almost double previous annual totals, underlining how corporal punishment has become a routine since the group returned to power in August 2021.
Since then, the Taliban have publicly flogged at least 1,848 people nationwide, including around 250 women, according to cumulative figures.
All provinces reported cases over the past year, with punishments often carried out in public before crowds.
In addition to floggings the Taliban have staged at least three public executions in 2025 in the provinces of Khost, Badghis and Paktia.
Seems the emir of londonistan has sealed off primrose hill park to prevent people celebrating new year .
Maybe the calender can be re drawn to meet the needs of the new islamic population- TTK would approve
Its a good thing to impact the gentry of the area with the savagery other parts will be experiencing on 1 1 26
This closure of Primrose Hill also coincides with the withdrawal of the Royal Parks Police.
These Police dedicated to a park knew what was going on and what was illegal. For example ragheads exposing their arses to the air was not allowed since all religious worship in the Royal Parks is explicitly not allowed. Now with these police gone who know the rules? Good luck trying to preserve a Royal Park like Hyde Park from a land-grab by islamic extremists.

– see … Australia (as an aside – the subsidy of rooftop solar has created a big problem where none existed before)

“In the bleak mid-climate-change-global-cooling – er – warming – fuck knows, frosty – er – gales, (stupid names anyone?) – made – er – snow, ice, polar bears in illegal migrant hotels”…
Lefties hate Christmas, it reminds them of their sad lives spent and wasted being sad for saddoes!
Our BBC fails to agree –
Satellite records since 1982 show leaf area and grass cover around the world is ballooning. Global crop yields have risen 15-20% since 1960, largely attributable to CO₂ fertilisation. There’s been a more than an 18% increase in global leaf cover in 40 years, the largest gains in India and China from CO₂ fertilisation. Warmer temperatures are lengthening growing seasons, a feature of rising levels of water vapour and cloud cover around the world. Famine deaths have plunged while the world’s population doubled.
CO₂ deserves much of the credit. CO₂ has recovered from the edge of plant extinction during the glacial maximum 20,000-26,000 years ago, when it fell to 180 ppm. The recovery is due largely to the current warm interglacial period, which led to this explosion in plant life. Science says 600–1000 ppm of CO₂ plus 1 to 2°C extra warming is the ideal ‘sweet spot’ for life, including us.
Dover Sentry – much of the greening seen from orbit has been mapped by the secondary photosynthesis sensors on OCO2 – the CO² mapping satellite the BBC rarely reports – which embarrassingly for GISS-NASA showed their CO² circulation model to be a fantastical load of bollocks – their scary model graphics are still used ( uncredited) years after they were shown to be a falsehood.

To clarify the ‘Cab Rank’ system for Barristers, they can and do pick and choose their cases. The cab rank idea relates to Barristers present in Court can be instructed by a Judge to represent someone without choice. Generally a Barrister will be chosen by a Clerk of the chambers who will agree the case for a Barrister by agreement with the client’s Solicitor which is why a Barrister will generally take cases within their area of expertise.
Funnily enough – I was peripheral to a case where the client’s solicitor selected a barrister to act (as an independent assessor) outside that barrister’s area of qualification on the seeming basis that said barrister could bluster, weasel and intimidate through the assessment in favour of the client….
Law can be a dirty business – it’s still being slow rolled by tptb
Having spent a lot of money on a solicitor he then recommended a barrister to assess the case prior to starting court proceedings . I had a strong case . They decided to bleed me a bit more then dump me .
Never trust a lawyer – any lawyer – self interest wins over any punter of moderate means ….
So many times we are given examples of either laziness or just stupidity within the legal mafia – Egyptian Islamic terrorists – or industrial Somalian corruption – or election theft or jury theft or afgee superinjunctions …
Fed,
We’re back to Dick the butcher (or Jack Cade) again.
I worked as a Legal Cashier, settling barristers fee notes, they were paid within 14 days and around £800 per hour, and that was over ten years ago. Not many starving.
cake, eat it, toast buttered both sides coupled to a clubby sense of entitlement in many that simply beggars belief.
I see in the Telegraph that the lefty legals have nettled the SAS old boys – iirc, the Parliamentary expenses scandal was precipitated by some exasperated army guys… It’d be fun if they’re going to do something similar to the (rotten) legal establishment and have ammo to do some real damage…. some scurrilous Ukrainian toy boy malarkey might do the job?
I reckon the reason TTK, hermer and the likes of them two do so many of these types of cases is ‘our’ judges always side with the left so those charged will get off or have a very light sentence.
This looks good on their cv’s and gets them further promotions to positions filled with people like them.
It also gets them lots of likes on facebook so that they can feel saintly and better than ordinary people.
None of these lawyers want to have a Right Winger as a client because they will be found to be guilty every time and get a long harsh sentence. Bad for the cv.
No need to give examples as we read about these cases all the time but hurty tweets, shouting at a police dog or leaving a smoky bacon crisp packet within 5 miles of a mosk will get you sent down with ‘our’ judiciary.
Anyway. Happy New Ear.
She’s right … the antics of the politicians and the public sector have real impact on the actual workers ….
It’s corrosive and I’d say that once grip on the slippery slope is lost – the slide is pretty fast.

The BBC’s Christmas collapse is nothing short of catastrophic
In the run-up to Christmas, Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy launched a public consultation on the future of the BBC. She invited audiences to reflect on what they value, what should change, and how the Corporation should be funded in the next Charter period. (!!!!!!)
Arguably, it is a waste of time. Because on Christmas Day, the public delivered a far clearer response than any consultation ever could. They switched off.
Only one word can describe the BBC’s Christmas 2025 performance: catastrophic. The scale of the collapse was so severe that it renders the entire Charter consultation exercise absurd. There is no mystery to be explored in focus groups or questionnaires.
The British Audience Research Board (BARB) figures are brutal. Across the BBC’s top ten Christmas Day programmes in 2025, the combined audience was just 34.6million viewers. Last year the equivalent figure was almost 50million. In a single year, the BBC lost more than 15million viewers across its flagship festive output – more than 30 per cent.
The headline comparisons are even worse. Last Christmas, the BBC’s most-watched programme, the Gavin & Stacey Christmas special, notched up more than 12million viewers. This year, its biggest hit, the King’s Christmas speech, managed just 4.6million.
…..
And that judgement is now devastating. People are not marching in protest, though millions are refusing to pay the licence fee. They are doing something far more damaging. They are ignoring the BBC, even at the moment when it is trying hardest to matter.

Happy New Year. How long can the BBC survive another year?
(Answer is – as long as we have Labour in charge!). REFORM would end the TV license fee, and the BBC to survive would have to go full subscription channel. It has indicated that it could charge for the BBC iPlayer but does not (‘due to the TV license’ which is not a taxed income). No VAT either. Not even a ‘Corporation tax’ which should be 40%. They pay little tax and offset the rest on ‘expenses’ . All this would stop with ‘subscription’. BBC radio has been uneconomic for years.

yep, 🎉 Happy New Year 🎉 all
I really hope that the bit of thread being tugged on wrt corruption of migration + welfare continues to cause a great unravelling over the next 12 months – it’s 20 years overdue.
