End of Year 2025

The BBC has achieved a lot in 2025 – about 800 000 less TV licences – lost a DG and Head of News after getting caught falsifying a broadcast – continued to support a corrupt Starmer Regime / Islamic terrorist group – sought to undermine Israel at every opportunity – undermined Christianity wherever possible continued to ignore Pakistani rape gangs still infecting communities.

We wish Britain a happy 2026 – but we know it won’t be .

    ‘Morning everyone!

Happy New Year to all here…

I love the first week of January! At last I can see the back of inside the fridge, there’s a new square ft. of space in the freezer, and the dog has just finished the Christmas Day leftovers!

The tincture shelves are somewhat depleted, but it would be wrong to let them stay half-full, what with globule-worming, more taxes expected, and a new immigrant hotel springing up a few miles away!

I’ve got several projects on the drawing board, so I can use my new orbital sander to clean up recycled wood, then burn the off-cuts to get some life-giving CO2 around here! I have a new stash of DVDs, so I can continue to avoid the far-left bBC dross too!

And, best of all, I’m preparing a 125 day Advent Calender, to click off the days until the May elections! There’s so much to look forward to!

Start as you mean to go on – the Guardian heads the BBC’s print press line-up this New Year’s dawn.

‘The year of proof’: Starmer to woo MPs with push to cut cost of living – our BBC liked that one.

And how, we wonder, will this supposed cutting of our cost of living manifest itself? Starmer, via the Guardian is scant as to the substance.

…will try to rescue his relationship with disullusioned voters and his own fractious MPs in a new year push to reduce the cost of living… set to give a speech… Morgan McSweeney… – blah blah de blah de blah…

The Mirror finds itself at the BBC number two spot for favourite newspaper headlines, natch. The in-the-tank for Labour tabloid yells: Exclusive: Keir Starmer… 2026 WILL be better… PM promises to deliver change for ordinary people after ‘tough year’

Ordinary People? Seems we’ve now dropped the Working People formulation.

Deliver Change? That’ll presumably need to be Change from the Change the government delivered us last year?

And we ask again? How will this Change manifest itself?

I’m oddly reminded of a old tale about a female best friend of the late lamented Mr AsI. The friend announced that she was to be engaged to her boyfriend. Mrs AsI cheerfully inquired “Will there be a ring, some other present?”, “No”, was the reply. “Will you set a date for the marriage? Will there be a party?” The answers were again, “No”. Mrs AsI, revealing a certain sense of frustration further asked “Then how exactly will this engagement be manifesting itself?”

The first thing they’ll change is the standing charge. By putting it up to £1 per day for each fuel. That’ll help us all no end. It will probably change the status of the elderly from living, in poverty, to deceased. Then they can change the state religion to Islam, since it’ll soon be that anyway. He’s going to be so busy helping us he might have to actually spend a couple of weeks in this country in 2026.

The virtual, online-only, left-leaning Independent enters the BBC’s otherwise print press line-up (by some special dispensation) with: Queen Camilla speaks publicly for first time about being assaulted on a train as a teenagers – for first time? Then how is that we already know this story?

The Queen said she was prompted to talk about her experience while recording a radio programme with John Hunt, the BBC racing commentator (Times) – a story nicely pitched to the BBC.

‘I was reading my book and, you know, this boy, man attacked me… (Times) – blimey, it’s like the netflix documentary Adsoloescence come to life.

    Speaking of assaults on women…

‘I am so lucky to be alive after crowbar rampage’… A nurse has told how she was “beaten nearly to death” after a man went on a rampage with a crowbar in a Merseyside hospital building… one of six people injured… Merseyside Police confirmed earlier that a 20-year-old man, living locally but originally from Afghanistan, had been detained under the Mental Health Act. Happy 2026 to everyone and thanks to all contributors to the site which proves daily that not everyone in the country has gone mad and that we are not isolated crack pots.

What will the New Year bring ?

Reform will remain the only political vehicle available to ordinary Brits to use to try and get our country back. We may have reservations about whether it is up to it but there isn’t any other choice available. It’s Reform or nothing.

As the push back by ‘normal’ people against the political establishment’s Wokism and islamophilia and Reform continue to gather momentum we can expect that those in power will adopt ever more repressive measures. There will be more Lucy Connolly type cases as use of Lawfare against ordinary people is stepped up.

Nigel Farage will be heavily targeted as will other prominent members of Reform. There will be attempts to place folks within Reform who are then ‘ exposed’ as hard right nutcases when in fact they are agents of the establishment posing as such.

During the year The establishment will also be reinforcing the legislation and power structures that they can leave behind if they are kicked out by the people which will need to be repealed by a Reform government before it can actually do anything.

Getting a democratic mandate from the people is only the first bridgehead in the war against the political establishment and their battalions of lawyers, judges , civil servants . Trying to implement Brexit will seem like a well mannered tea party compared to rolling back the power of the ancien regime and I am not sure that democracy alone will be able to do it. But that will all be in the future .

Happy New Year one and all as the BBC continues to see a rapid decline in people willing to pay for its tripe…and those recognising its time may have been and gone as even old Charlie jumps ship and takes hisself off to Amazon Prime to peddle his green guff.

In other news a church in Amsterdam is destroyed by fire on New Year’s Eve…given the timing [and so many churches across Europe being burnt in attacks] the BBC is quick to claim the cause…

‘Local media reports it is suspected that the structure, which dates back to 1880, was likely hit by fireworks.’

    A Ukraininan news source states…

‘There is evidence that local residents shot fireworks at the tower, but the fire department has not yet been able to confirm this.’

There’s a difference between fireworks accidentally hitting the tower and being deliberately fired at it.

    The Telegraph merely says..

‘The cause of the fire is not yet known.’

Amsterdam is around 50% ‘foreign’ now…I’m sure the diversity is working well as in France and Sweden….and here.

    RTE reports…

‘A huge inferno gutted a 19th century Amsterdam church during a New Year’s Eve which saw two dead from fireworks and “unprecedented” violence against police.

Reports of attacks against police and firefighters were widespread across the country. In the southern city of Breda, people threw petrol bombs at police.’

Breda has a large population of non-natives.

I’m sure it was just a stupid accident but it’s always informative to see how quick the BBC moves to quell any ‘conspiracy theories’ when it involves its favoured demographics….and happy to justify ethnic riots as caused by ‘police racism’ [and celebrate the Brixton riots as ‘rebelllion and resistance’]….note how the BBC claims in this video[from 2 years ago] that ‘politics is at its most poisonous’…cue clip of Le Penn…apparently trying to ‘score points’….or is she voicing genuine and justifiable concerns?….

Happy New Year to all contributors with common and uncommon sense.

Following on from Starmer’s nauseating speech last night and how things can only get better.

    My prediction for 2026

    1. With support from BBC, EU, WEF, etc the labour party will try to tell us that things are improving. This is a lead-up to the council elections on Thursday May 7th 2026.

    2. Sweeteners will be given to those councils (primarily those small few for labour which are most under threat and labour believe could be held). They hope to appease the electorate and tell us that things are now getting better so don’t now blow it and vote Reform.

    3. As we know the economy is going to be in a hell of a mess for the foreseeable future so labour will borrow more money for these bribes, putting the country in more debt and large interest rates to be payed for. The debt grows.

    4. Following the council elections labour will hike up tax yet again.

    5. In summary it will be used as a redistribution of wealth. A short lived ‘council services’ improvement in a small handful of labour councils payed for by a lower number of savers and wealth creators.

    6. The downward spiral continues with a push towards a poor economically backward socialist state which is -multiple-diverse-multiple-cultured ruling over a disillusioned populace.

I truly hope I am wrong.

    Happy New Year

What’s the betting small and medium size private companies, already carrying a huge parental downside in terms of replacements staff, cover for absence, not to mention government-induced penalties like employer NI, just cannot afford ‘’generous’ maternity pay I.e anything over thevstatutory minimum?

And what do we hear from the licence-fee funded entitled tossers at the BBC about this aspect? Nothing.

A terrible explosion in a Swiss Alps hotel and the Swiss police have ruled out a terror attack. Now why would they do that? Twenty years ago if this happened would they even have even suspected a terror attack?

This tells you all you need to know of the state of Europe. Those European “leaders” over the years have allowed in the third world and now any tragedy is automatically thought of as a terrorist attack. The authorities and politcians with the help of the likes of the bBC know what they have done to Europe but have no shame. Their only action is to demonise anyone who critisies Islam and make “Islamophobia” laws ( a term made up by the Muslim Brotherhood).

During the UK Grenfell disaster some Swiss media were especially scathing calling the UK ‘the sick man of Europe’. Maybe this was justified. Here is what they said:

I found the article you’re remembering! It’s from the Neue Zürcher Zeitung (NZZ), published on September 4, 2024, titled:

“Neuer Untersuchungsbericht: Die Regierung, die Bauindustrie und weitere Firmen sollen Schuld am Brand des Grenfell Tower sein”

Key Critical Passages (Translated to English):

The most damning passage that characterizes the UK as systemically broken:

“The fact that the investigation commission has distributed moral blame across many shoulders leads to a blurring of responsibilities. At the same time, the impression of systemic failure is solidifying. At the beginning of the year, there were also headlines about the justice scandal involving postal workers who were wrongly accused of theft. In May, an investigation commission concluded that British governments had concealed responsibility for HIV infections of hemophiliacs for decades. All cases bear witness to the arrogance of a power elite that disregards the interests and safety needs of the ordinary population.” NZZ

This passage explicitly places Grenfell within a pattern of multiple UK scandals, suggesting a fundamental problem with how Britain’s elite governs.

Additional Context from the Same Article:

The NZZ reported that companies were willing to exploit “weak regulatory regimes” in countries like the United Kingdom Swissinfo.
The article described the disaster as “the result of decades of failure” Swissinfo involving British governments and authorities, as well as construction firms, architects, and building material manufacturers.

    Another Critical NZZ Article:

There’s also a January 2024 NZZ article titled “Grossbritannien wird wieder zum kranken Mann Europas” (Britain is Becoming Europe’s Sick Man Again), which explicitly uses Grenfell as an example of UK dysfunction, stating that building regulations were violated during the building’s renovation persoenlich.com, in the context of discussing Britain’s broader systemic problems including NHS failures, political instability, and various scandals.

The September 2024 article is particularly scathing because it explicitly compares Grenfell to other UK scandals and characterizes them collectively as evidence of an arrogant elite that ignores ordinary citizens’ safety and wellbeing.

So if correspondents are banned then journalists can’t tell the story… ‘like Gaza’…which famously the BBC didn’t cover at all. No.
That’s the same BBC which has a whole unit of 60 people called BBC Verify which is there to check social media videos…the Iran story has been going on for four days now. Have they verified a single post?
That’s also the same BBC, btw, which transmits ‘BBC Persia’ so you’d think that BBC might have people it can talk to in Iran. You’d think…

Can you spot the teeny weeny flaw in @JohnSimpsonNews’ attempt to defend the BBC’s negligible coverage of events in Iran? Yep. The Corporation couldn’t get into Gaza either but still broadcast on the conflict endlessly. Whether it’s the persecution of Christians in Nigeria, the uprising in Iran or China’s mass exploitation of client states in Africa the BBC has a foreign policy agenda that instinctively prefers stories where the US, the UK and Israel can be critiqued.

          How to trash a legacy.

It should be remembered that Persia (Iran) wasn’t a Muslim country until it was invaded by Islamist Arabs in the 6th Century AD. (I notice a lot of historians use the woke CE date). Iran became a more or less tolerant Westernised State in the 20th Century, it was a multi faith society. Then there was the Islamic revolution when that ended.
Iran is a very divided society, as the Islamists see challenges to their authority the fight back is brutal.

CE is meaningless. What does Common Era mean? Why use the start of the Common Era at the birth of Jesus? If they want to come up with some starting point for this nonsence then why use the Christian dating why not the Islamic or Jewish or even Chinese year? The only reason is the same for all the woke rubbish, they want to get rid of any reference to our Christian heritage.

Apologies, nothing to do with the BBC…

What a glorious morning! Snow on the ground. A mum and her little girl making a snowman, young boys having a snowball fight, my wee dog chasing a foraging squirrel and sliding into a snow covered bush.

Just home for a warming cup of tea and a slice of buttered toast. This reminds me of similar wintry days from years gone by and for a few brief hours I feel like I’m seven years old again and not seventy.

Anyway, got to go…I fancy another snowball fight…

Keir Starmer to woo voters and MPs with new year plan to cut cost of living (Guardian)

    How’s that workin’ out?

Why everything from your phone to your PC may get pricier in 2026 (BBC)

So, Sir Keir, what’s going to get cheaper for us?

You’re certainly not cutting taxes, either income tax or the council variety.

Cost of travel is going up in price – both for private cars and train fares.

Energy prices coming down? Of course not.

What could happen globally to ease inflation – a peace dividend because of a Trump ceasefire in Ukraine? Well, Starmer doesn’t want that. And anyway, he’s going to want us to chip in with the EU’s reconstruction plans for Ukraine.

So how’s this cut in the cost of living going to manifest itself, we wonder?

Meanwhile, in local Kent traffic news…

Two charged after elderly man killed in hit-and-run… Albert Matraxhiu, 28, of Orange Hill Road, Edgware, has now been charged with death by dangerous driving, and Erald Paci, 29, of Five Way Court, Chatham, has been charged with perverting the course of justice. (BBC)

    • MarkyMark says:

The surname Matraxhiu is of Albanian origin, likely an occupational name from the word “matranxhi,” meaning a mat maker or someone in textile production, common in traditional Albanian society, with historical ties to Elbasan and known figures like journalist Emin Matraxhiu. Variants include Matraxhi, Matraxhia, and Matraxia, and it’s found in historical records on platforms like Ancestry and MyHeritage.

The surname Paci has Italian, Hungarian, and Albanian origins, primarily meaning “peace” (from Latin pax, Italian pace) and often given to someone of a peaceful nature, or it can refer to places like the village of Pac in Albania or a place in Hungary. In Italy, it’s a patronymic or plural form of Pace, common in Tuscany, and can also be a short form for Easter-related names like Pascal

Friday at BBC Verify published at 10:10
Rob Corp “BBC Verify Live editor”

Good morning – welcome to BBC Verify Live.

BBC Verify has been checking footage posted online of the protests taking place across Iran where at least six people have been killed. We’re continuing to work with BBC Persian to monitor and verify videos showing the unrest that has spread across the country.

Among the real images being shared we’re also seeing footage that has been faked or enhanced using artificial intelligence. Some of these images are being shared widely – we’ll bring you more on how we’re checking for signs of AI use as part of our verification work.

Our team is also checking on new images and footage emerging after a nightclub fire in Switzerland killed at least 40 people. Among those is a picture circulating online that claims to show the moment the blaze started. There’s full coverage on this BBC News live page.

And we’re expecting the latest stats today on how the health service in England is coping this winter including A&E waiting times, bed occupancy and ambulance handovers.

The BBC: 17-year-old Afghan “boys” rape a 15-year-old “woman.”

Read that again. The rapists get the protection of childhood while the child victim is aged-up to soften the blow. It’s not just bias; it’s psychopathic gaslighting from a media class that despises the public they’re meant to serve.

Westminster is busy playing dress-up and chasing net-zero fantasies while our streets become a free-for-all. They’ve sold out British girls to protect a failing “diversity” narrative.
