The Strange Death of Europe is a highly personal account of a continent and culture caught in the act of suicide. Declining birth-rates, mass immigration and cultivated self-distrust and self-hatred have come together to make Europeans unable to argue for themselves and incapable of resisting their own comprehensive change as a society.

This book is not only an analysis of demographic and political realities, but also an eyewitness account of a continent in self-destruct mode. It includes reporting from across the entire continent, from the places where migrants land to the places they end up, from the people who appear to welcome them in to the places which cannot accept them.

Told from this first-hand perspective, and backed with impressive research and evidence, the book addresses the disappointing failure of multiculturalism, Angela Merkel’s U-turn on migration, the lack of repatriation and the Western fixation on guilt.

It’s a good read – bought it when it was first published – even the title was inspired and scares the bejesus out of you.

Murray should do a follow-up, as the cross channel taxi service had yet to begin in earnest when he wrote it.

Alice Cooper joins the BBC girl band in this edition

Our BBC’s sister print version, the Guardian, speaks directly to its main readership demographic – State school teachers: The white stuff Winter fun as snow shuts 1,000 schools

I’m inevitably reminded of Alice Cooper, godfather of shock rock and proto goth and his track School’s Out, 1972

No more pencils, no more books
    No more teachers, dirty looks
Out for summer, out ’til fall
We might not come back at all

    School’s out for summer
    School’s out forever

Hundreds of schools remain closed as ice warnings issued (Megan Bonar, BBC Scotland); Heating issues close schools amid cold snap (Rachael McMenemy BBC); It’s another snow day for lots of children in the UK as the wintry weather has affected schools for a second day. (CBBC Newsround)

This week of British winter weather must be giving the teachers severe rose-tinted nostalgia for Lockdowns.

Cyber attack school reopening delayed to next week (Susie Rack, BBC West Midlands) – remind me, what’s that saucy parlour game where you work out what would be your porn star name? Harmless fun for adults and – let’s be honest – adolescents. Just a tip for our Susie, it might get you taken more seriously if you were to elongate your name to Susan Rack. Think about this – Susan and the Banshees comes over a tad more mainstream, doesn’t sound quite so punky, does it?

Speaking of harmless saucy fun – the left-leaning corporate giveaway freebie is pearl-clutching and fretting about: Ministers victims of Musk’s new image bot… Groky horror show… deepfake sexualised images (Metro) – Oh, the humanity! Government demands Musk’s X deals with ‘appalling’ Grok AI deepfakes (Laura Cress, Technology reporter, BBC) – Techie Laura… thinking Laura… Croft, anyone?

So, from the nation that brought us William Hogarth, James Gillray, and Thomas Rowlandson’s: “Golden age of visual satire” through their detailed and often bawdy prints that critiqued society, morals, and politics – thank you A.I. – to nowadays government ministers’ reactions looking somewhat akin to an islamist reading a copy of Charlie Hebdo – you know what they say, the women can’t take the banter.

But we digressed… where were we…?

Cyber attack school reopening delayed to next week (BBC) – how’s that exactly? Did they leave the blackboard chalk and all the textbooks locked away in a computer controlled cupboard?

Parents were told on Monday a cyber attack had taken down Higham Lane School’s IT systems… despite hopes it would reopen on Wednesday. (BBC) – I’m still not getting it, Susie… despite…

The site, which has about 1,400 pupils aged 11 to 18, was forced to shut on Monday “as a precautionary measure” after the incident impacted its IT systems. Despite good progress in the investigation and safe restoration of systems Gannon said the school would not be able to safely welcome pupils back on site this week as initially hoped. (BBC) – our Ms Rack doubling down on the old journalistic ‘despites’ there.

The school is working with Central England Academy Trust to explore how to welcome pupils back “as soon as it is safe to do so”… head teacher… Gannon added in an update on the school website. Students were previously asked to avoid logging into any school systems until further notice as investigations by external specialists were carried out. Youngsters have been directed towards external resources for home learning, with year 11 and 13 students encouraged to revise for forthcoming exams. The head teacher thanked parents for their understanding and apologised for the disruption. (BBC) – and there, ladies and gentlemen, we have a good reason why we shouldn’t depend on computers.

Meanwhile your Mr AsI likes to bring you tomorrow’s news today. Yesterday Mr AsI highlighted regime efforts to force motor cars off the roads beginning with driving bans for old folks who didn’t go to Specsavers.

Today the anti-car nudge unit goes into overdrive: Learner drivers may have to wait six months before taking test… The government will unveil the measure… on Wednesday. The strategy will include proposals for a lower drink-driving limit in England and Wales, to bring them in line with Scotland. (Katy Austin, Transport correspondent and Emer Moreau, Business reporter, BBC) – gosh the BBC girl band have been busy today.

The Seagreen wind farm off Scotland’s east coast is squandering vast amounts of its power because there is not enough grid capacity to transport it to areas of the country where it is needed most.

This inability to handle surplus electricity led to 77pc of Seagreen’s total output going to waste last year, new accounts show, from a total of 114 turbines.

This is likely to have sparked hundreds of millions of pounds in so-called constraint payments for the wind farm, which is run by Scottish energy giant SSE and France’s TotalEnergies.

Here’s hoping similar arithmetic can be applied to my household energy bills….

They are picking the low-hanging fruit first, new drivers, old drivers, young drivers, drivers who have had a glass. etc. But I don’t think it will stop there. A few things to note on the BBC reporting of the Iranian uprising against its favourite Religion of Death.

    1) Look how long it took the BBC to start serious reporting on the monumental events in Iran, way after other news agencies.

    2) Even now, some of their reports refer to the protests as ‘cost of living protests’ when everyone knows they’re protests against the murderous islamo-fascist theocratic dictatorship of the Ayatollahs.

    3) Right now, there’s nothing about Iran on the Home Page of the BBC webshite, nothing on the World Page, only on the Middle-East page.

    4) Compare that to the wall-to-wall coverage of Venezuela, Maduro, and the completely insignificant Greenland hysteria – which are of course just thinly disguised opportunities to attack Trump.

In another bumpy start to 2026 for Starmer, the first flight of the year to deport illegal migrants under the ‘one in, one out’ scheme has been cancelled. Detainees who were meant to be deported this morning were told they had their tickets cancelled. One of whom told The Guardian:

“I came on a boat with 80 people onboard. Ten of us were detained and 70 were taken to hotels because their asylum claims will be processed here. That’s not fair. I was delighted when our tickets were cancelled but the guards would not tell us the reason. When I asked a guard he said: ‘We can’t tell you why.’”

PRAISE THE LORD AND PASS THE AMMUNITION….

Or so the saying once went…..

James Heappy, who i am told is something to do with defence in Keith Starmers “all star” govt, has announced the British army only has 10 days supply of ammunition…….who is he kidding…3days supply at most. The strategic reserve of ammunition was given away in 2024. (To ukraine..as was all the British armys heavy artillery)…come to think of it that means 3 days might be an overstatement, as the actual guns have gone.

More crucial, is the fact we have no economic or industrial capacity to replace whats gone…..that is not keith starmers fault in all fairness….years of decay and many culprits.

James Heappy being in charge of anything is Starmers fault, as is Heappys boss John Heally , you remember him, last autumn he announced the building of new submarines but had no idea how much they would cost and said he had no idea.

I doubt that is a problem in the current Labour cabinet.

“The usual suspects have been claiming on X that the Minnesota fraud scandal is no big deal and that it was racist to place Somalis at the centre of it. They lie. Some facts:

The fraud scandals in Minnesota are a very big deal, involving (so far) the theft of over $1 billion in taxpayer funds across multiple schemes, primarily from federal and state programmes meant for child nutrition, autism services and daycares during and after the COVID-19 pandemic.

Federal prosecutors have already charged almost 100 people. Dozens convicted or pleading guilty. Investigators suggest the total could exceed $9 billion in fraudulent claims.

It is already the largest pandemic-related fraud case in US history, with money siphoned off for personal luxuries like expensive cars and real estate, rather than the intended recipients — like low-income children.

The majority of those charged (around 85 out of 98 defendants in the core cases) are Somali-American. Why? Because the fraud often involved networks of Somali-owned ‘nonprofits’ and businesses inflating claims or billing for nonexistent services.

Governor Tim Walz labeled the scandal being inflamed by “white supremacy” In fact, systemic fraud was enabled by his state’s lax controls. Walz now so discredited he won’t run for Governor again. His political career is over. How this bozo ever passed Kamala Harris’ vetting procedures to be her running mate is a mystery.”

The striking workers are not receiving their normal salaries from Birmingham City Council while on strike.

However, Unite the Union provides some financial support—reported as a one-off daily payment of £80 per day—to help sustain members and prevent them from being forced back to work due to financial pressure.

Workers have described facing significant hardship, with some depleting savings after a year of action.

How many are striking?Reports consistently describe “hundreds” of refuse workers on indefinite strike since March 2025. The core dispute affects approximately 150–170 workers facing potential pay reductions (per Unite), though broader participation in the all-out action involves more (earlier ballots referenced nearly 400 workers voting to extend the mandate).

Some agency workers hired to cover the strike have also joined industrial action in solidarity or over separate grievances.

Hundreds of Birmingham refuse workers have been on strike for over six months against pay cuts of up to £8,000. The Labour-run council is effectively “firing and rehiring” loaders and drivers and is now threatening compulsory redundancies.

The BBC once made a documentary about Hitler’s politics, which didn’t mention his politics. It didn’t even mention the words “National Socialism,” the name of his party, or even what was in Hitler’s manifesto.

Compare that with this short video I made, please leave a comment or share it if you agree with it:

    Starmer:
‘Starmer vows to ‘defeat decline and division’ in new year message’

    Also Starmer:
‘Prime Minister Keir Starmer launched a new attack on Reform UK, warning that the right-wing outfit wants to “inject bile into our communities”‘

    Also Starmer:
“Governments do not lose because polls go down. They lose when they lose belief or nerve. We will do neither.”

This man is unbelievable. He just says whatever suits him to say at that moment in time. He is without doubt the worst PM this country has ever had.

Gordon Brown and Theresa May can sleep soundly tonight. They have been relieved.

    He ends with:
“My experience as prime minister is of frustration that every time I go to pull a lever, there are a whole bunch of regulations, consultations and arm’s length bodies that mean the action from pulling the lever to delivery is longer than I think it ought to be, which is among the reasons I want to cut down on regulation generally and within government.”
Roughly translated means he wants to remove all the democratic checks and balances. He wants all the power for himself and nobody can question him.
God help us if that ever happens. I have a feeling that’s how he thinks he can take control to stay in power.

‘Ella Potter, who is male but identifies as a transgender female, did not enter a formal plea to the charge’

Isn’t it just amazing what the BBC ‘trans’ team don’t report when it doesn’t suit them.

Just another dept of BBC woke activists. Nothing to see here except the scandalous misuse of billions of pounds of public money.

May elections now 118 days before he’s kicked out immediately afterwards!

Windmilliband will sulk forever and take his millions somewhere cold, Ange will guzzle a new can of lager in a blow-up doll-shaped boat outside Hove, and Burnham will be wearing three pairs of underpants, (a la John Major no doubt), because all his disgraceful failings in Oldham etc., will be scrutinised at every turn!

So that leaves Streeting, who will be rolled over as soon as look at him, by the arch-lefties, so it’ll be Groundhog Day, Armageddon, my birthday, Christmas, Easter etc., all rolled into one!
