Weekend 10th January 2026

It’s difficult to keep up with events . Ukraine ( military involvement ) Venezuela – Iran – Minneapolis- Greenland corrupt anti semitic west midland police – threat of censoring X … but the BBC bias by omission on the Iranian uprising shows how captured by Islam the BBC now is . Disgraceful .

An MP arrested on suspicion of rape, child sex offences and child abduction has refused to step down, despite calls for his resignation.

Dan Norris, MP for North East Somerset and Hanham, was suspended from the Labour Party in April and has not attended Parliament since his release on police bail nine months ago.

A petition claiming he cannot “fully support” his constituency and demanding his resignation has attracted more than 2,000 signatures.

In his first statement since his arrest, Mr Norris said he continues “to represent” his constituents as well as “staying across local and national developments”.

I wonder what Jesus would make of this?

For if a man comes into your assembly with a gold ring and dressed in fine clothes, and there also comes in a poor man in dirty clothes, and you pay special attention to the one who is wearing the fine clothes, and say, “You sit here in a good place,” and you say to the poor man, “You stand over there, or sit down by my footstool,” have you not made distinctions among yourselves, and become judges with evil motives?

I look forward to the Church of England supporting racial justice for white people in Tower Hamlets, Birmingham, and Bradford, not to mention racial justice for white girls in Rotherham, Rochdale, etc.

Oh, and rather nearer home, I also look to racial justice in churches where Asian Christians from India and Pakistan, in this country for whatever reason including dubious support by CofE clergy for their right to remain applications, not always legal, originally received special help and provision, then grew to become the biggest grouping, yet still want special help and provision over the now white minority.

But it seems the CofE don’t count these situations in their Far Left ideology.

The BBC’s chronic Trump Derangement Syndrome has again led to totally useless reporting.

On Toady on Sunday, a feature about the Catholic Church in Venezuela. They don’t like what’s happening at the present time. Oil tankers raided. Maduro taken. Nasty Trump.
And then……..a throwaway remark about the church supporting the 3 million Venezuelans who have fled over the last several years to nearby countries like Colombia.

Now why exactly would 3 million people flee from a corrupt socialist government? A question crying out to be asked. Not an issue for the Far Left BBC. No ‘investigative reporting’ at all.

Some of us of course remember families selling their children to put food on the table and sending their remaining children to the rubbish tips to look for scraps. But not the BBC. No doubt the editors still have posters of Hugo Chavez on their walls.

Australia sale now on from £899 – don’t panic Aussies, this isn’t some “Down Under” the counter deal, where Donald Trump is buying “The Lucky Country”. British tax payers can likewise relax, Starmer hasn’t just paid China to take “Oz” off our hands – I think we already gave them their independence – something to do with that Gallipoli movie upset them?

In fact this is copy from an advert for the airline Qantas on the frontpage of the Sunday Telegraph

Your Mr AsI gets distracted by the adverts when the headlines become either inconsequential or redundant.

To wit: UK becoming ‘military pygmy’ and ‘Love Island wildfire crisis’ – is the pairing our BBC cut from the Sundays. Of the former, tell us something we don’t know – and of the latter, who cares?

Both our mate Matt in the Telegraph and the left-leaning Newman in the Times disappoint, doing lame skits on Donald Trump over Greenland.

The Telegraph reporters Nick Gutteridge and Joe Barnes do raise a wry smile however, with their frontpage article: Starmer in talks to send troops to Greenland

Hey, Sir Keir, you and who’s army? File this announcement among my collection of clashing contradictory juxtapositions of headlines that put the lie to a prevailing narrative: Spineless PM is turning UK into military pygmy… Farage (Mail) – is Nigel allowed to say ‘pygmy’ – let’s wait on Monday’s Guardian to rule on that one.

We do enjoy a silly cartoon and the Guardian on Sunday that is the Observer obliges in spades.

Our BBC summarises this one for us: Six drawings illustrating the events of the last week feature on the front page of the Observer, which leads with the headline “World without rules”.

I’ll pick out one or two examples. Trump wants to own Greenland – opinion piece by Isabel Coles is illustrated and teased with a sketch of a polar bear sitting on an iceberg tied up in the stars and stripes. I’m oddly reminded of Foxes Glacier Mints – there’s one for the teenagers. Best of British, eh? Those nasty neocon yanks won’t ever steal our glacier mints… or will they?

Fox’s Glacier Mints are owned by Valeo Foods Group. Following a €100m acquisition in 2017, the brand was integrated into Valeo’s confectionery division… Valeo Foods is owned by Bain Capital Private Equity, which acquired the Dublin-based international food group from CapVest in May 2021… Bain Capital is a private, employee-owned partnership, not publicly traded, with ownership distributed among its partners, though it was founded by Bill Bain and Mitt Romney (among others) and initially had Romney as a sole shareholder – blimey, well I never.

Phillipe Sands in the left-leaning Observer frets about: The new lawlessness – illustrated with a cartoon of a discombobulated blindfold lady of justice figure. Oh the irony…

‘Save juries or face by-election’… A Labour MP has made an extraordinary attack on Sir Keir Starmer’s planned jury reforms (Times)

What have the Tories got to offer, we wonder?

Tories would ban under-16s from social media… Tory leader Kemi Badenoch said if her party was in government, smartphones would also be banned in schools. (Leila Nathoo, Political correspondent and Tabby Wilson, BBC) – kudos to our Kemi (they do say she’s on a roll) she’s now preempting Labour policies before they can get them out there.

Interestingly, this ban on 16-year-olds will mean the only people not allowed to vote on the issue at the next election will be those directly affected by it. Democracy, eh, what a conundrum!

Just think of the political suicide that would have been extending a social media ban to 18-year-olds who will now vote. Or of threatening to take mobile phones away from college students when they’re in class.

Any other bright ideas cribbed off our authoritarian socialists, Kemi?

Kemi: I’ll save high streets and kickstart Britain (Express in lickspittal Tory mode)

Your Mr AsI will fill the potholes down your street and kickstart Britain – I won’t tell you how, precisely.

The Sunday Mirror is engaged in regime-sponsored ‘don’t look back in anger’ terrorism victim family manipulation activities: We’re healing together… Manchester Arena survivors help victims of Southport horror

Covid rules used in car crash mix-up… teenager… misidentified by police… did not use… dental records, fingerprints or DNA to identify body… officer relied on a photograph… Covid-era policy (Times)

If only we had had a well-funded, judge-led, officially constituted, public inquiry that could have looked into that.

And finally, on a lighter note: Prison bosses… Lag’s wags in skimpy see-through outfit ban (Star on Sunday) – pity Kemi didn’t get onto that one first.

Jailhouse frock crackdown… dresscode of visiting wives (Star)

Saucy headline of the day, naturally, is in the Star – busty Sydney Sweeney is the frontpage feature pin-up in anticipation of entertainment awards season – and the headline is: Syd’s Globes ready

“Keir Starmer has stated he doesn’t have a favourite novel or poem, preferring practicalities like maps, which critics see as a lack of imagination or depth, while supporters suggest it reflects his pragmatic, lawyerly focus on tangible issues, though he once admired James Kelman’s novel A Disaffection and Kafka, according to older reports, indicating a shift in public persona. This has led to public discussion and even satirical artistic responses, like blank poetry anthologies, highlighting perceptions of his personality as a politician. “

‘Social media and video networks have become the main source of news in the US, overtaking traditional TV channels and news websites, research suggests.

More than half (54%) of people get news from networks like Facebook, X and YouTube – overtaking TV (50%) and news sites and apps (48%), according to the Reuters Institute. ‘

We know the BBC has been reluctant to report on the uprisings in Iran…and has been reluctant to upset the regime for many years….which is why it was interesting to note a comment this morning, considering Starmer and the BBC’s attacks on X that the best and most informative ‘news’ outlet was comedian/actor Omid Djalili on…X…oh yeah…and of course the news was coming out via Starlink…Musk’s satellite network[oddly no-one mentions that link]. X [and other social media] is a big rival to BBC News…hence the BBC wants to crush it…and of course it is an ideological rival as well…allowing information and opinions to be aired that the BBC and Starmer want suppressed…the attack on Grok is just an entry point to taking down X just as taxes were a way to take down Al Capone when they couldn’t nail him for his real crimes….in X’s case it’s uncomfortable truths and thought-crimes.

    https://x.com/omid9?lang=en

    Hmmm…BBC…

‘Alireza Manafi, an internet researcher, said the only likely way to connect to the outside world was via Starlink satellite internet, but warned users to exercise caution, as such connections could potentially be traced by the government.’

And who runs Starlink? BBC so keen to name Musk normally, oddly not this time.

The BBC mentions that people are contacting its Persian Service….that’ll be the Persian Service via the BBC’s Media Action team which trained people in Iran to act as ‘information gatherers’ to send back to the BBC which would then base reports on that information. Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe was involved in training those people in her job at Media Action and the BBC itself felt it had played a major part in the 2009 protests…which is why she was arrested by the Iranians, when she ill-advisedly returned to Iran, who considered it spying and subversion of their regime…which it was of course.

‘The family of British-Iranian aid worker Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe, who has been sentenced to five years in jail in Iran on undisclosed charges, said she has been accused by a Revolutionary Court of acting against national security by cooperating with the BBC.’

As said the BBC believes it was a major player in the protests…

‘Roll forward 18 months to the uprising of June 2009. “I went to bed in one country, and woke up in another.” The memorable words of (UK) Channel 4 News reporter, Lindsey Hillsum. Hundreds of thousands were out on the streets in Tehran and cities across Iran, disputing the “stolen election.” Joe Klein, reporting the Iranian election in Tehran for Time magazine and CNN, describes it like this: “Anarchy, total chaos, and everyone watching the BBC.”

“The shooting of Neda Soltan and the killings and beatings that followed changed everything” according to Karim Sadjadpour at the Carnegie Endowment for Peace. “Those pictures were seen by everyone in Iran, mostly on the BBC,, but also on Voice of America or CNN. And make no mistake, the very existence of BBC TV was a critical factor.”’

Which is why Zaghari-Ratcliffe became the fallguy…which the BBC never admits.

On the off topic of music…

Thanks to many here I have several alternatives for my waking hour thirst for background classical.

However, away from more sophisticated radios I find reverting old school can be OK on R3 if not doing BBC stuff or investigating Riau Island Monkey Music, and so it tends to end up as Classic FM.

I cannot stand Global News and luckily my loathing for the new crop of ‘street’ VOs by chavvy birds in the funding sections sees the hour reduced to silence about 20% of the time.

I do like most of the music, and most of the DJs, but now greed to pay these high value chattering types has seen them extend beyond advertising for ‘their friends’ at the lottery to running their own.

That’s bad enough, but one has to endure the same script read out hour on hour by rote by all these luvvie thesps. I know exactly what I might do with £200k, and also what I would choke on reading out the same lame script over and over.

All this recent kerfuffle over Greenland had me doing a little homework. My geographical knowledge is piss poor, but I do know it’s close to the Arctic, nowadays comes under the patronage of Denmark, is covered in snow and ice, has an enormous landmass and a population of only 51,000. It looks bloody inhospitable.

Now then, is it beyond the bounds of possibility that all those countries in Europe that have suffered illegal immigration, could shift these parasites out there? I mean, we’d obviously bung Denmark a few quid, knock up some very basic accommodation…and then let them get on with it.

I’ll vote for Reform any time, so that Prime Minister Nigel Farage, can tell the EU to fuck right off, and try suing him and the rest of the UK…

As lawyers string out every morsel of legal crap to enhance their fees, it could take years for them to try and sort out their perceived ‘issue’, originally commenced by Arkell v. Pressdram!

May I suggest a Referendum to tell the EU just that and ask them to ‘swivel on it’?

I can’t see Labour getting voted in for at least 40 years after this absolutely horrendous shower of shit we currently have in power are voted out (unless they also cancel General Elections)
The mess they have made and every decision a disaster should show future generations what a nightmare of a government Labour is.
Maybe it’s the end of Labour.

Future generations should study this lot to learn all the mistakes and decisions NOT to make.
If you done the reverse of every decision they have made since taking power I honestly believe we would be thriving by now. They are seriously the worst ever.

Sheer arrogance. Who is going to give up their seat for him and if someone does will he get elected?

Good news on the inflation front! A product that I buy has decreased in price – the last time I bought it the price had gone down to £2.99. It had been @ £3.69(eek!) and the last time I previously bought it the price was £3.39.

A Labour MP – apparently – is threatening to resign his seat if TTK pushes through the end of juries . Unfortunately for the likes of the emir and the mayor of Manchester the seat is unlikely to be ‘safe ‘ for a Labour candidate .

Also – I understand that on Monday afternoon there is to be a debate in the commons calling for a general election because over 1 million people signed the petition .

Usually no government MPs turn for such debates and it’s left to opposition MPs to talk to each other without any result. There needs to be a coup ….

    BBC Parliament now.

Police lying (or gaslighting) about Maccabi Tel Aviv fans being banned from Birmingham, being ripped to pieces by the committee.

A very good piece in TCW by Bishop Ceirion H Dewar

“A government that treats national identity as something to be overcome rather than to be stewarded cannot hope to govern wisely. You cannot lead a people whose story you quietly despise. You cannot heal a nation you regard as morally suspect at its roots. Yet this is the governing assumption now evident across the British establishment: that memory is dangerous, conviction is divisive, and tradition is an obstacle to progress. This is not leadership. It is managed decline.”

This maybe why they want to ban X.Note Iran has stopped calling them protests and now call them Terrorists. Can’t help but notice the parallel with Starmers “Far right thugs” outburst

Someone posted a few weeks ago asking about the difference between grokopedia and wikopedia . Well judging by this article about the Daily Sceptic I would suggest that they are much less biased than the far left wikopedia
    Compare

“The Daily Sceptic is a British online publication founded by journalist Toby Young in April 2020 as Lockdown Sceptics, serving as a hub for skeptical articles, academic papers, and interviews challenging government COVID-19 policies and the influence of public health officials”

    https://grokipedia.com/page/The_Daily_Sceptic

    And Wikopedia which has

“The Daily Sceptic is a blog created by British commentator Toby Young. It has published misinformation about COVID-19 vaccines and engaged in climate change denial.”

I won’t give the link to Wikopedia as they don’t deserve visits

Why is it when there are wars or protests miles away in foreign countries all of a sudden people are marching for or against what is happening in London? Are there any marches or protests in Japan against Starmers authoritarian regime here?

Or is it because as the wise Douglas Murrey comented many years ago we have imported the worlds problems into the UK through inviting people who hate each other and us into our country?
