Apple Music has scrubbed the song, Kiss Kiss (XX) My Arse written by Holly Valance for Ms Hanson’s film, A Super Progressive Movie.

Ironically, the song mocked cancel culture, virtue signalling and woke ideology with lyrics including, “I love cancel culture, virtue signally vulture”.

The song was suddenly removed on Thursday after it had reached the #1 spot on the charts, surpassing Harry Styles and Olivia Dean.

“A washed up TV reporter stumbles onto a corruption scandal in Western China. Pursued through the desert by a psychotic spin-doctor and a world-weary cop, he discovers the real China: illegal metal mines, a fashion-crazed gang of girl bikers, a whole commune of Tiananmen Square survivors and the up-market sleaze-joints of Beijing. En route, he clashes with a stellar cast of people-traffickers, prostitutes and TV execs. But then the unquiet dead begin to intervene: ghosts from his own past and the past of Chinese Communism; the ‘spirits that hover three feet above our heads’ of Chinese folklore. Rare Earth is a story about love, journalism, ghosts, metallurgy, vintage militaria and large motorcycles set in the badlands of Inner Mongolia and Ningxia. It is about the west’s inability to understand the East; one man’s epic journey across a dying landscape, where ‘thousands of pairs of eyes peer beyond grimy windowpanes into the moonless sky, looking for something better.'”

      The Reality Behind the Badge

🔴 Police officers are 21% worse off in real terms than they were in 2010.
🔴 A third of officers struggle to afford food, rent, or heating.
🔴 32 officers are violently assaulted every day — and the numbers are rising.
🔴 Mental health crises are soaring, with policing now the profession with the highest mental health-related sickness rates.

Careful about using the 2010 data. That was the high tide of public service pay. It is the same yard stick that the doctors take, and frankly I have been revolted by their claims.

Just out of interest, and something not commented on by the bBC, but when the average wage increases came out by sector a couple of weeks back, if you assume that the public sector is 20% of all employment, then the you can calculate that public sector wages are exactly the same as the private sector. Of course what it does not take into account the generous state sector pensions. The value of these might be 15-20% above the private sector. What is clear is that you are better off working for the state sector. higher pay, more security, probably earlier retirement, less productivity. It is endless.

As the bBC would probably say if you want to find the smell follow the money. Sadly the bBC have lost their sense of smell. Must be something to do with marxism.

This is probably a sign of my advanced age, but… I now find that I watch very little contemporary TV…Most of it is made up of imbecilic game shows, unfunny comedies or irritatingly woke TV ‘tec dramas…You know the sort of thing…white racist thug mugs elderly Asian woman and is eventually caught by an LGBTQ black female police officer…It’s a daily occurrence in the modern Met…

I like the old Midsomer Murders, before they became ridiculously enriched. Dads’ Army is always a delight, Jack Hargreaves is a man after my own heart (though I have noticed Out of Town now comes with a “sensitivity warning” and I always catch those 1950s British black and white films that show a country I still recognise.

I’m reminded of the often repeated quote from the LP Hartley novel, The Go-Between; “The past is a foreign country, they do things differently there.”

Actually, I tend to disagree with the erudite Mr Hartley. It’s the past that I recognise. It seems like I’m at home. It’s the present that seems like a foreign country to me.

And God alone knows what the future will be like…

      Couldn’t agree more Jeff.

When I’m looking through the options of what to watch or record, with one look at the cast I can tell the plot. I know who the goodies will be and who the baddies are. It’s the same formula for everything now.
When I click on to a drama or whatever and they have a picture of some of the cast I can bin it simply by seeing the actors. I just don’t bother to watch.

It’s like bbbc news. You can work out the real news by what they don’t tell you or by spotting the sly qualifier (could, may, we are told, type of thing)

There’s an art to understanding what to watch on tv now and I think us lot on here know how it works.

A good thing about getting old is being able to watch older stuff over and over again.

I’ve found some real gems too – ‘The Longest Day’, when John Wayne won the war, Robert Mitchum helped him, and Richard Burton did a few things as well! The cast is endless…

And seeing ‘The Snatch’ was a real gem – Vinnie Jones and co!

When I’ve seen them, they’ll all go back to another charity shop, but anyone can have them from here – Scrobs, DVD Towers, Near Crowborough, well, a few miles from Crowborough actually, as we need to keep that great place on the AI map to keep out the unwanted illegals, Sussex – or Kent – yeah; whatever…

A panopticon of facial recognition cameras across the country with an inbuilt system of control, was originated by the English philosopher and social theorist Jeremy Bentham in the 18th century. The concept is to allow all prisoners of an institution to be observed by a single prison officer, without the inmates knowing whether or not they are being watched.

That’s what the left are like. They just cannot live and let live as we on the Right do. They are vindictive, petty, full of hate and they think their mates will applaud them for doing something like damaging a car with a Friend of GB News sticker on it.

Reminds me of Brexit. Several friends unfriended me publicly (so that their mates could see) because I supported Brexit.

They are talking about the rum ration which used to be given out in the Royal Navy.

I remember being on exercise in the Gulf (late ‘60’s) and part of it was a journey from Bahrain to Muscat on HMS Intrepid.

I can recall seeing the sailors with their rum ration and it was a real big mug full, brimming over. I would guess the same amount as a transport cafe mug of tea.

As you would expect, our Matelots didn’t spill a drop even though the mug was full to almost overflowing.

‘Why won’t the BBC use the word ‘Jews’?’

‘ I suspect that the BBC, like the left in general, is uneasy about a commemoration dedicated to one specific group of people, especially that group of people, a group of people to whom they perhaps do not feel kindly disposed. One might infer that from their speed at conferring the title ‘genocide’ on the war in Gaza, being thus unable to distinguish between tens of thousands of people killed via missile attacks during a prolonged war and a deliberate and stated policy to wipe out an entire race, of which the six million was just the start.

If you cannot distinguish between those two rather differing scenarios then I would suggest you are either an idiot or an anti-Semite or, more likely, if you’re writing the BBC news bulletins, both.’

I’m in a bit of a quandary, about how I approach my Jewish friends.

Do I just accept that they’re being vilified for their religion, while Muslims are lauded? How do I try and communicate to them, that I’m on their side – as I would a decent Muslim, if I knew any, which I don’t – and would this attitude be taken as a form of alliance and friendship, or as a question mark against me?

Would I be judged as someone who is just trying to forget what troubles Jewish people have here, with a blatantly antisemitic left-wing MSM, and especially the bBC?

Or do I get a flag with The Star of David, and wave that at every foreigner?

This is all what the far-left want to do – they pick out decent, (me?) people and just smash them with their foul ideology, so that while I’ll never Kow-Tow, (Orville again), to the far-left’s ugly unpleasantness, I still wish to hold my Jewish friends in the highest esteem that I can!
