I look forward to those lefties frothing at the mouth that Trump will take money from the BBC and replying = I won’t be paying for the compensation as I don’t buy a TV tax , but you will be .
I wont be paying the compensation either and I expect the bbc to keep the UK informed on a regular bases how much they are spending on legal fees trying to defend their deplorable anti Trump smear campaign..

Their problem is that if they cannot get the whole thing dismissed, the costs will be enormous. And (presuming they have some kind of liability insurance for this sort of thing), the insurers will tell them to settle out of court.
The BBC would rather eat their own sh1t than let it appear they are admitting they did it on purpose – even though it is absolutely clear they did. They are pinning everything on getting it thrown out. They will be desperately hoping for a Democrat Judge.
The main argument seem to be that Trump won anyway so he wasn’t harmed. But who knows how many across the USA saw the video and maybe Trump didn’t win some seats he would have otherwise won.
How desperate does this sound ?:

I hope that the President refuses to settle out of court and insists on going the distance . The more damage that he can inflict on the foul corporation the better.

And we get a straightforward, facts-only account of what happened. No bias, no emotional trickery to turn you against them. Nothing. Just the facts.
Which all seems like a MASSIVE understatement considering these are Muslim terrorists who posses AK47 assault rifles and were preparing for possibly the worst terrorist attack we have seen. They planned to fire 4 of these rifles indiscriminately into crowds of antisemitism protestors. There would have been dozens killed.
The article does not have a single word of criticism of their motives. It only describes what the result could have been.
The headline SHOULD have been at least ‘Two Muslim man jailed over terrorist plot to attack antisemitism protests’ because it is absolutely key to the story.

I help a very small charity which needs a small alteration to their building for which it needs planning permission. It turned out to submit the plans involves all sorts of building and site plans, far too complicated for any of the volunteers to produce. They had to get a professional in. (The cost will mean no end of coffee mornings and the like to raise the money). The professional uploaded the plans to the Local Authority website (and an even bigger sum to pay for the application). The professional planner sent a link for payment to the Local Authority. I paid and very soon after received a text from the bank. Payment was withheld until I spoke to them because I had used a link.
How the heck had the bank known I used a link unless someone is reading my emails (which are all very boring) and I don’t think I incite anyone to do anything). The link only provided me with account details which were correct and I then went onto business banking to make the payment. I don’t have a bank or credit card for the charity.
As I said, I can only think Big Brother is reading my mail.

Will the BBC settle before disclosure? My guess is Trump will force disclosure where all documents are revealed, there could be an extended period of disclosure. The BBC will undoubtedly look to keep back as much as they possibly can and Trump’s team will be filing motions for further disclosure. This could extend the process for a long time and result in the trial being adjourned possibly beyond the Trump Presidency. On the other hand the Judge could rule the BBC were attempting to defeat the action and simply find for Trump.

You may wonder what has happened to all the more recent complaints… and the answer is that OFCOM cannot investigate a BBC compliant until the BBC has ‘rejected’ the complaint first. The BBC Trust must get involved. The BBC typically ignores – all complaints – and if they do answer will state that it is protected by parliament privilege (news and opinion)- which guarantees the BBC is not biased, and was awarded a BBC TV Charter to prove and that the TV license is an endorsement of that fact.. (as if it ever did prove anything).
The Daily Telegraph revealed that the BBC had not addresses any complaint – or admit that there were are any complaints for YEARS!!!. The BBC Trust (part time Governors) are not made aware of any issues. OfCom is totally unaware of the huge number of complaints – as the BBC states they have been – ‘resolved’ – by responding, (usually with a flat denial). So a total lack of TRUST towards the BBC to get any result. Its not automatically passed on, it just gets ‘lost’ in transit…. But they now have a solution…!!!
