Fed, I’m on my own power and had my smart meter removed a couple of years ago. However, tomorrow Im re-installing a smart meter and immediately joining Utilita then resorting again to my own power so I will pay minimal for electricity and I expect a reduction in my gas bills as a minimum user but currently paying all the standing charges fully for gas. This will give me an economical backup for electricity if the gennies pack up for any reason. Utilita has confirmed that as a low gas user on my consumption, I will see a reduction overall in cost of gas less a pro-rata standing charge. On your low energy use you should immediately see a saving.

The BBC should NOT have its TV Charter renewed — without radical reform. You will be ignored, (alas) but that is the game we are playing. They know it, we know it. But is a game they play. This consultation is not advertised for obvious reasons.
It does indicate how the BBC is being used to manipulate the public opinion on key issues. The worst tick box options are the ones that they are considering as ‘social policy’ -, so beware which boxes you tick. They will use this to gain ‘public support’ for the TV license.
