“A couple of weeks after the fall of Saddam, I stopped on the shoulder of the main western highway from Jordan to Baghdad to fill up from an enterprising Iraqi who’d retrieved some supplies from a looted petrol station and was anxious to sell them to any passing Canadian tourists. As he was topping off, I asked him how agreeable he found the western soldiery. He grinned a big toothless grin and pointed to a chopper that had just come up over the horizon to hover above our heads. Then he said: “Americans only in the sky.”

We did not win that one, you’ll recall. Instead, we created an Iranian client-state.”

Talking with friends this evening about Covid, at least they accept now that it was a lab leak. However when I told them that the research at the Wuhan laboratory was funded by the Americans, they simply wouldn’t believe me. I was asked if I had read it on the Daily Mail and I had to assure them I had watched the committee hearings in the US. One then googled who was funding the labs. I was not optimistic because Google might not exactly be accurate. It did start by listing the Chinese Army but then started to list American funding such as Noraid and USAid. My friends decided the work was collaborative so that was ok. One reason they explained they hadn’t believed in US funding was because they hadn’t heard it on the BBC. They couldn’t believe such a big story hadn’t appeared on the MSM. It is scary how gullible intelligent women can be and how easily manipulated they could be. Apply this to any topic and i can see the power of the BBC.
I dare write this here because they will never look at this site.

      Hi Deborah,

The State and main stream media have hidden a lot. Fauci redirected “gain of function” research to China after it was halted in the US in 2014.

This book is aging on the subject a bit, but still great:

      • Deborah says:

Yes but Solomon, how do I get these friends to read and believe it? They grasped at straws to avoid believing the US were funding Wuhan. Now had they thought The Donald had authorised the Chinese to receive payment for gain-of-function research at Wuhan, they would have believed it like a shot.
I hadn’t realised until typing this but these friends were asking similar questions to my New York cousin, i.e. is the information from a reliable source eg the BBC or CNN for example? I could believe this way to disbelieve what is very obviously true must be in a socialist/Democrat handbook.

Deborah, It beats me too. I know someone who is still taking the Covid jab. Realising you have been duped is uncomfortable and taking the time to research the truth takes effort. It’s much easier to be spoon-fed the BBC/State’s truth and believe it. After all, everything else is “conspiracy theory”.

That book was my epiphany – bought the audio book version when it was first published. I have some rusty training and experience of the topic which allowed me to do focused background research – I found *nothing* to quibble in Chan and Ridley’s analysis and research. I’ve also read the later updates from the authors.

I did some further reading (Jan 2022) –

        https://www.amazon.co.uk/Real-Anthony-Fauci-Pharma-Democracy/dp/B09LVY1WHB

If it were untrue/ defamatory RFK Jnr. would’ve been sued into penury – nobody I know who’s actually read it has challenged the (carefully evidenced) contents – I see that Amazon have quadrupled the audiobook price…..

        Talk about being triggered!

BBC urges court to dismiss Trump Panorama lawsuit
    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c17845kz2yno

Wow – the BBC are panicking about this story. They realise that getting it dismissed is the only option they have – which is why we get this very lengthy piece in which they whine like children.

But for me the Trump case is not what is significant here. The BBC most definitely edited that clip to infer Trump – the President of the USA – said something he didn’t because the BBC detest his right-wing politics.

It should not be Trump making this fuss. It should be OFCOM and the government. This event was just the straw which broke the camels back and should have triggered a full scale review and reform of the BBC to stop them damaging the country like this.

But nothing happened. They have carried on exactly as before. This is as clear a sign as we will ever get about the Leftist ideology corruption throughout our government.

And the EU is exactly the same.

Make no mistake : we are witnessing the rise of the new-generation Nazis. People driven by the belief they are ideologically superior to everyone else and that nasty kind of hatred of those who disagree with them. They will not stop until they have full-on fascist control over what everybody can say and do.

And when it all starts to crumble, they would rather destroy it all than accept defeat. We are witnessing that process right now.

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cn9e0zr5qy2o

… and another BBC ‘lie by constraining headline’.

What a ridiculous title for the article. Such an article is not news at all. It restricts the conversation to backing up Starmers rhetoric.

And the author Chris Mason fawns over Starmer like a pathetic fanboy. The entire article reads like Starmer himself requested this article to bolster his standing. And it’s not the first – we’ve had several such articles from the BBC like this one.

More appalling activism from the Leftist BBC. It’s as far from journalism as you can get. We are getting close to WW2 levels of propaganda.

And all because the BBC hate Trump with a passion. They are criticising every single thing he does when the reality is he’s just saved the world from Iran dropping one or more nuclear weapons on major cities in the not too distant future.

Our mainstream media may have contracted a bad case of Trump Derangement Syndrome but they do love themselves a health scare…

Our BBC’s online news page press line-up header today glories in the double whammy: ‘Race to stop meningitis spreading’ and ‘Donald’s Trumped’ (BBC)

With their top story happily immune from a case of even the mildly conservative commentary typical of the Telegraph, that title tops the BBC print press pile: There is a “race to stop meningitis spreading nationwide”, writes the Daily Telegraph, following the outbreak in Kent in which two people have died. A photo of A-level student Juliette who died after contracting the infection takes up much of its front. Also on its front page, the Telegraph says the “Ayatollah’s son escaped death by popping into garden for a stroll”. (BBC)

The Telegraph’s frontpage also says Rachel Reeves is trying to blame Brexit for all Britain’s present economic woes – but heyho.

A health ‘scare’, any health ‘scare’ is, in our therapeutic state, of course by default escalated to a ‘public health crisis’.

Just look at the way they go on about the weather: Spring to make a comeback with warmest day of the year forecast (BBC)

But we digress. We have this glorious nationalised NHS but we can’t expect to rely on that to see to our health needs… Starmer to call cobra meeting, anyone?

The ever-excitable Daily Mail shrieks with alarm exactly true to form: Thousands told: get help now for meningitis risk… Race to trace anyone who went to Kent club over THREE nights as deadly outbreak hits university and three schools

It’s like Lockdowns all over again.

Meningitis outbreak latest: Kent university cancels in-person exams (the non-in-person virtual-only Independent)

What are the symptoms of meningitis and is there a vaccine? (Michelle Roberts, BBC, Digital health editor) – digital health? Can you catch this virus off the internet? Or is that job title employed just to sound down with the kids?

The Mirror out shrieks even the highly strung MailTerror on Campus… Rush for antibiotics…

Your Mr AsI, having been somewhat immersed in the genre of the tabloid headline, is on occasion tempted to try his hand at the craft… Uni-Panic! (I’m thinking along the lines of “Uniparty” and “Omni-cause”)

Unlike the OG ‘pandemic’ so beloved of the mainstream that on average targeted 82-year-olds – this one appears deadly to the youngsters. But just as the mainstream seemed disinterested in the actual causes and the multi-million pound, judge-led, officially constituted public inquiry couldn’t care less as to the origin of the bug… so it is that our mainstream shy away from this one’s long-standing nickname “the kissing disease”. The prone to WFH constituency would rather we all imagined you could catch it by a form of near immaculate in-person conception. I can already immagine little sole of the foot stickers being deployed to keep the kids two yards apart on campuses up and down the land.

Thank goodness for the tabloid Sun that gets specific and reveals: Vapes ‘spread killer bug’ Victim shared e-cig at club

Between February and December 2024, the Organised Crime Group (OCG), which was based in Romania but operated out of Luton, used sophisticated devices to bypass security systems at cash points.

Targeting ATMs in late night raids at 51 locations across the UK, the gang utilised lookouts to keep watch while deploying digital devices to fraudulently withdraw cash in 3,300 separate transactions.

    “Rupert Lowe MP
Our 113 page mass deportation policy is a work of art – no other political party has come close in terms of detail.

We outline, step by step, how to remove the illegal migrant population.
The legal obstacles that must be demolished, but also the practical logistics of ejecting these people.
It is complicated – it requires a lot of thought and planning.
Reform’s deportation effort is six pages long.
A front page, an intro, two pages, a conclusion and a blank blue page containing a Reform logo – all with some pretty big cartoons in it too.
Fair enough, but this is simply not serious.
Because we should be honest with the British people.
Removing the illegal migrant population is an incredibly challenging task – more than anybody realises.
Restore Britain has, in great detail, shown exactly how to achieve it.
We are now asking for the support to implement our plan.
    Mass deportations.”

I’m guessing that most of you will have seen the truly horrific images of the “Iftar” celebrations from Trafalgar Square last night. FFS, there were thousands of the bastards…

Of course Raghead in chief, Sad Dick, was there gloating about their take over of our capital city and later I learned that the “call to prayer” had also echoed through the walls of the Victoria and Albert museum. It’s beyond despicable.

All this ostentatious showing of dominance at a time when a few young lads waving the flag of St George will be arrested by our Gestapo police.

My hero, the great Horatio Nelson, a man wo gave his life in defence of our country, must have been looking down from elevated position in Traf’ Square last night and shook his head in utter disgust.

Our country, our race, our heritage, our nation has been betrayed.

It’s the BBC activist effort for social engineering on a global scale andy. They want the whole world to rejoice in their own ideology.

They’ve been doing it for decades and things are even worse than it was when they started. But they get their funding for free – so they just keep on doing it. It will all change when they have to provide value for the money they get otherwise people stop paying the subscription.

From my experience, the BBC are despised almost everywhere else in the world now. Nobody trusts them.

This secure perimeter includes fencing, CCTV cameras, and armed police, resulting in the closure of roughly 150 acres of previously public land and causing backlash among local residents. ”

“PLANS TO CONVERT WATFORD CHURCH INTO MOSQUE REJECTED
Watford Council has refused plans to convert a Grade II listed church into a mosque. The proposal would have turned the vacant Leavesden Road Baptist Church into a Muslim place of worship. Planning officers said the changes would cause “substantial harm” to the historic building, warning the proposals would remove or obscure much of the carefully designed and well-preserved interior. The application has now been rejected on heritage protection grounds. A small victory for Christianity.” Penny for your thoughts 18 hours ago

    Brexit

Said Brexit “did deep damage”, citing GDP impacts of “up to 8%“.
Regulatory independence should be “the exception, not the norm” when it comes to playing by Brussels’ rules. So get used to abiding by EU red tape…
‘National Interest Principles’ to guide alignment, but explicitly ruled out free movement.
Said no trade deal with any individual nation can outweigh the EU.
    Tax

Defended tax rises as preventing higher inflation, interest rates, borrowing and collapsing public services. She achieved all four anyway…
Announced roadmap for fiscal devolution at Autumn Budget, including devolving a share of income tax to metro mayors. Insisted this means no new taxes, just local retention of existing revenues. She actually said “I will not ask taxpayers to pay more”. Really.
Threatened CMA action against companies making “excessive profits” from the Iran crisis on fuel and heating oil.
    Spending

£2.3bn City Investment Funds for northern and Midlands mayors (scored at Autumn Budget, not yet in the books).
    Oxford-Cambridge funding doubled to £800m.
£500m Sovereign AI Unit launching April.
Up to £2bn for quantum computing over a decade.
Manchester Digital Campus confirmed, framed as “moving power and people outside of London“.

It is clearly becoming evident that somehow this joke of a Labour “regime” of a government has to go….

Nandy wants to hand the BBC a permanent charter and we all bloody well know why as they are the Labour Parties full-on of propaganda machine.

    https://www.theguardian.com/media/2026/mar/17/lisa-nandy-vows-bbc-permanent-charter-political-interference

This “regime” is getting more and more communist in style trying to seize unending power by changing the law to suit.

Bowen talked uninformed extreme tds crap on the 5pm news . He seems to have better intelligence than either the US or Israel in the Iranian ability to create a nuclear bomb .

Any pretence of balance or neutrality is long long gone – I sat listened and could barely believe the anti trump – pro Iran – hate coming from him. Israel would do well designating him an enemy ….
