HMS Dragon has arrived near Cyprus and will join operations defending it from tonight, Healey tells MPs
John Healey, the defence secretary, has told MPs that HMS Dragon has arrived in the eastern Mediterranean and will begin “operational integration into Cyprus’s defence” tonight.
In a statement to MPs, he said:
RAF and Navy pilots have now racked up nearly 900 flying hours in defence of Cyprus, Jordan, Bahrain, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates. We have more jets in the region than at any time in the last 15 years.
There are an extra 500 air defence personnel in Cyprus, and as more military capabilities are committed to the eastern Mediterranean, we’re working closely with the Republic of Cyprus to coordinate the contribution of allies, including the US, France and Greece, to reinforce the security of Cyprus.

Iran’s ambassador to the UK has been summoned by the Foreign Office over his country’s “reckless and destabilising actions” in Britain and overseas, the Press Association reports. PA says:
Seyed Ali Mousavi was called into the Foreign Office after an Iranian and a British-Iranian dual national were accused of carrying out hostile surveillance on London’s Jewish community.

Talking about ambulances, I’m puzzled. The ambulances in question are, we are told, used for the public in general but preferably Jews. In view of the waiting times for ambulances generally and the problems with the NHS in accepting patient arrivals by that mode of transport were they on standby just like the regular ambulances? If so, did the drivers of said ambulances on standby not intervene………………….
Weird. Unless said ambulances were simply people carriers to help disabled etc to get to hospital appointments during a regular day. Calling them “ambulances” is for the media.

The BBC’s justification for their own ‘extremism’ is:
“This is a fictional drama and the character of James Whitlock is not based on any individual person.”
So they concede it is a lie and they made it up – and they actually think that justifies it. It’s even worse !!.
The reason this caught my attention is that I have been trying to watch the new series of the BBC’s Father Brown. Each Sunday evening I try the next episode and see how far in I can get. I haven’t gone past 7 minutes : as well as the usual ‘agenda’ shoehorned heavily into every one, they are just absolute rubbish. The stories and writing are absolutely terrible. It’s exactly the same old tired formula written by people with no imagination. wit or creative ability at all.
The latest one (episode 7 I think) took the biscuit. One of his 2 female assistants – not the black one – had been called for jury service. Someone had murdered someone else and was up for trial. Father Brown told her it would be quick because apparently the accused had already confessed.
When Father Brown says that, you know 100% that it will not be quick as the Father would spot a problem and spend the next 50 minutes proving his innocence.
I groaned inwardly fully expecting the man in the dock to be black and be falsely accused of murdering a white man. Father Brown would investigate with the inference of racism hanging over the whole episode until at the end, it is shown the black man is extremely honourable and decent and it was in fact a pale-and stale whitey who did it. Most likely with strong right-wing views.
So we skip through the credits and we are in the court room. My anticipation is high. The accused steps forward :
He is black. Turned it off.
I wonder how accurate my prediction was. At this stage, I have no desire to watch it and find out. I struggle to think how the BBC could stoop lower than continuously churning out this left-wing activist crap.

As I was a bit behind on the dreadful story of the ambulances being destroyed in Golders Green, I did a trawl this morning.
Surprisingly, The Graun did quite a good piece on the issues, explaining the various communities in the Golders Green area, and how they interact, and with interviews with Jewish community leaders. It is clear that while the majority of residents are Jewish, there are certainly all other creeds and religions living together. These people are all served by Hatzola with total disregard of any sect, church or belief.
I felt it was distinctly different from the bBC’s report, where just the Jewish 49% was mentioned right at the end, and this is most unfair. It is not a true picture of the makeup of Golders Green. The bBC seem to want to point at a Jewish target, and ignore the general community as a whole. Yes, the article did mention a possible Iranian connection, but the area is certainly not a ghetto!

As clearly more people listen to or watch the bBC, than read The Graun, I think the emphasis should be much more inclined towards a general concern of all faiths at such an atrocity – the Jewish Citizens are being singled out, and by definition, put in the spotlight as targets and with fears of more attacks such as this. It seems to be a rather odd – possibly dangerous – way to show the anti-semetism which accompanies much of the bBC’s output.

An art dealer who appeared as an expert on the BBC’s Bargain Hunt has been charged with terror offences, the Metropolitan Police has said.
Oghenochuko Ojiri, 53, of west London, has been charged with eight counts of “failing to make a disclosure during the course of business within the regulated sector”, following an investigation into “terrorist financing”.
The Met added the alleged offences are said to have occurred between October 2020 and December 2021.
Mr Ojiri, who is also known as Ochuko Ojiri, will appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Friday.
