A former aide to a Labour MP has been spared jail after downloading more than 500 indecent images of children.

Conor McGrath, 29, worked for MP Kevin Bonavia and was a borough councillor in Stevenage, Hertfordshire, between 2023 and 2025.

A man has pled guilty to three charges of making indecent images of children.

Conor McGrath, aged 29, of Biggleswade, appeared at Stevenage Magistrates’ Court today (Wednesday 25 March), charged with:

One count of taking/making indecent category A images of a child.
One count of taking/making indecent category B images of a child.
One count of taking/making indecent category C images of a child.
The court heard that between 7 June 2024 and 13 March 2025, McGrath had made 77 indecent images of children of the most serious, category A level, 101 indecent images of a category B level and 329 indecent images graded as a category C Level.

McGrath spoke to confirm his name and address, before pleading guilty to all charges.

This follows a complex 10-month investigation by specialist officers within the Child Online Safeguarding Team (COST), who are based within Hertfordshire Constabulary’s Public Protection Command.

Detective Constable Tom Campbell said: “This case highlights the Child Online Safeguarding Team’s ongoing commitment to protecting children and bringing offenders to justice.

“The possession of indecent images of children is not a victimless crime; each image represents the abuse of a child.

“We will continue to work tirelessly to identify and target those involved in such offences and ensure that they are held accountable.”

McGrath was bailed ahead of appearing at St Albans Crown Court on Friday 17 April for sentencing.

Planker is a very good description…

TTK is getting absolutely slaughtered on the normal radio waves, and the lies, obfuscation, cheating, pathetic attitude is sure to hasten his being kicked out as soon as possible.

Now, with Thieves stupidly saying the army needs more ‘wokery’, this whole shower have plumbed the depths of utter, criminal incompetence, and they have absolutely no future – none at all.

ok everyone, don’t panic, we’ll go and open the Straights of Hormuz… I think we have a ship and if not my mate in France might lend us one…..

But it’s already opened Mr Starmer…..

Why did no one tell me! I bet it’s the same people who didn’t tell me about Mandelson!

Do you think they know how stupid they look or do staffers have to tell them?

It seems staffers keep them mostly in the dark.

But this may cross that vast desk.

As an aside, re strong Europe, I often take a stroll around the block of streets where I live, a distance of around half a mile…. For my amusement last time I did the walk I totted up a count of parked car makers marques.

I can tell you that out of around a couple of hundred parked cars there was not one UK marque. The vast majority were German, followed by France and then Japan.

Winning the second World war was a bit of a waste of time really!

Of course most of our home produced marques were trashed by the likes of Red Robbo and his Commie mates in Birmingham in the 1970’s and 80’s….

    How odd!

BBC News Quiz….thank God for such clever people who have a deep and rich understanding of geopolitics.

Apparently Trump is an evil lunatic who is actually worse than the Iranian regime….and he’s stupid and ignorant…just absolutely no idea what he is doing…..I mean…who knew the Straits of Hormuz might be blocked by Iran. Hmmm…might suggest the US knew and didn’t care…after all they don’t need the oil.
And of course…how stupid…Iranians block the Straits and then Trump’s answer is to…block the Straits…how dumb!
Except of course what Trump blocked was ships from Iranian ports shipping oil especially to China which Iran of course was allowing passage…hence the rapid Iranian U-turn and the opening of the Straits.

On Today this morning we heard that politicians[Trump] should stay out of religion [ie Pope]….hmmmm….on that basis maybe Popes and Archbishops should stay out of politics then.

Never really get joined up thinking from the national broadcaster.

That’s one way of looking at it…or you could think it is the most dangerous organisation in this country.

The problem with dealing with Starmer is his precise use of language -for instance ‘due process ‘ which is rolled out to cover his incompetence / wilful ignorance of vetting rules .

There is a need – with him – to follow up with the question ‘what do you mean by ‘due process’ … otherwise he slips out of his responsibility …

He also portrays himself as deaf dumb blind – never asking – for instance – about Mandelson – never seeking information – such sitting behind an empty desk in a locked number 10 office with no phone or outside communications .

I reckon he will survive next week by hiding behind the usual ‘process ‘ – ‘pending plod investigations ‘ leaving stuff to the cabinet Secretary – or the committee which is doing questions of the plank who was sacked …

As I’ve written here earlier today -Labour will look for a ‘distraction ‘…

BTW – the Anglo French Hormuz strait clearance steering committee is drafting an agenda for the next meeting – which will be around Christmas ( this may all be lies – or gas lighting – whatever that it )

Interesting piece in the DT today:

How a brand new £7bn rail line fell victim to militant unions and delays

This is the EWR (EastWestRail) currently held to ransom by the marxist RMT union that want to have guards on the train between Oxford and Bletchley. Currently Chiltern rail runs Driver Only Operated trains between Oxford and Bicester (then on to Marlybone). The line between Oxford and Bletchley has been opened since 2024 and they have even had steam trains running on the line. Effing marxists are just incapable of running a service. Note that the train drivers are likely safely employed albeit running no passenger service.

No bBC employees were harmed during the making of this post.
