   ‘Marches were largely peaceful and took place in several major French cities, including Paris, backed by unions, gilets jaunes and student groups. But they were marred by scenes of violence, looting and destruction.’

   Once again the BBC underplay of the nasty and violent Left is astonishing.

   This is the absolute key point of the whole business. The BBC dismiss it as a single quote:

   ‘He attacked what he called “political and even seditious acts organised by far-left groups that aim to bring down the Republic”.’

   ‘What he called’ the BBC write. And this is from Macron. I’m sure the BBC staff would call them something different which would be far more complimentary.

   When I read these articles which I can tell the BBC are loathe to write, I can’t help but imagine how they would word them if this was the ‘far-Right’. It would be right in the headline for start.
