Many years ago I was disgusted by Russell Brand. The bBC loved him because he was always ‘on narrative’. As a matter of principle I would automatically switch off if he appeared. Funnily enough there is another ‘on narrative’ Brand and I do exactly the same with her. I listen to so little these days that I rarely have to execute my rule!

Such accusations alone are enough for riots and killings. Lack of evidence is not a consideration.”
