‘That’s the most poignant thing you can say…that they are not Muslim’

Trouble is that isn’t true is it Stephen Nolan?  That’s a lie.  A lie that is intended to prevent a particular course of action….such as that suggested by Hollande’s declaration that this attack was an act of war.

Nolan’s conclusion is that the clever response would be not to respond…not to over react…by over react he means military strikes against Islamic State.

The Spectator’s thoughts on that?

Obliterating Islamic State, wherever it is to be found, is not liable to be a sufficient response but it is a necessary part of any response. There is no compromise that can be struck with the mindset behind these murders.

They may hate us for what we do but, more significantly, they despise us – all the western world – for who we are and how we live. This is so obvious by now that it risks seeming banal but it demands restating because, even now, even after all this, there remain too many people who deny the truth.’

And of course the real victims of the attacks are Muslims…the ‘backlash’ you understand.

The BBC isn’t reporting the link between immigration and the attack in Paris as a story in its own right but has slipped the news into its live feed.….

Syrian passport holder passed through Greece – minister

A Greek government minister says the holder of a Syrian passport found at the scene crossed into the European Union through the Greek island of Leros in October.

Deputy public order minister Nikos Toskas, said in a statement:

On the case of the Syrian passport found at the scene of the terrorist attack, we announce that the passport holder passed from Leros on October 3 where he was identified based on EU rules … We do not know if the passport was checked by other countries through which the holder likely passed.

An Egyptian passport and Syrian passport were found on two attackers at the Stade de France, according to the French newspaper La Liberation.

Looking very much like the ‘rumours’ of Islamists using the migrant flow as cover to enter Europe was true.  A truth the BBC tried to deny and even now looks like wanting to play down.  This is an important and dangerous fact that needs to be dealt with not brushed under the carpet.  There is also an issue with the make up of the migrants as a whole…the vast majority being Muslim…just how many, not Jihadis now, will turn to that method of propagating their views?  Not something that should be ignored as the consequences will be far more serious than what is happening already.

Jeremy Corbyn cancels Islamic State speech after Paris attacks

The terror attack in Paris has forced Jeremy Corbyn to cancel a planned speech in which he would have suggested that British bombing operations against Islamic State (IS) had contributed to an increased threat to national security.

The Labour leader had been due to speak out against a “succession” of conflicts which date back 14 years – taking in current operations against the extremist group as well as the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Extracts from the speech released in advance indicated he would use his strongest language yet to criticise the UK’s involvement in the fight against IS in Iraq, linking it to the wars begun in 2001 in Afghanistan under Tony Blair’s premiership.

He has previously said the UK should “look again” at its participation in the bombing campaign against IS.

In the speech to Labour’s East of England conference he was expected to say: “For the past 14 years, Britain has been at the centre of a succession of disastrous wars that have brought devastation to large parts of the wider Middle East.

“They have increased, not diminished, the threats to our own national security in the process.”

He was due to call for “a different kind of foreign policy – based on a new and more independent relationship with the rest of the world”.

Why did the BBC miss that bit about the Islamic State out of its report?

Why is John Rentoul being attacked for this tweet when clearly Corbyn had such a sentiment in mind for his speech?…

Another milestone has been passed. Labour’s Corbynite journey on foreign policy has exited tragedy and entered the realms of farce.

This evening, the BBC’s Ross Hawkins reports that the shadow minister for foreign affairs, Catherine West, addressed the Stop The War coalition meeting in parliament, saying,

“Obviously in the summer before Russia was involved we were thinking the government might bring forward a proposal and we were preparing mentally for that. However since 30 September I think that’s more remote and obviously if that proposal does come forward then we will need to speak to you and talk to you about what your view is on that.”

There it is. in black and white. A commitment that Labour would consult with Stop the War before deciding its Syria policy.

How dare she.

Here’s Stop the War’s John Rees from 2006 indulging in paroxysms of Orwellian doublethink by backing Saddam Hussein as a champion of the oppressed that he was oppressing,

The BBC continues its support for the Islamist cause giving a platform to a group that the BBC knows is an Islamist front….

Why is the BBC giving credibility and authority to Cage?  How long before Shaker Aamer becomes a Cage ‘spokesman’ and a constant feature, as with Moazzam Begg, on the BBC? Jihadi John: Activist who praised Mohammed Emwazi as “beautiful” caught on video backing jihad

The human rights campaigner who described Mohammed Emwazi as ‘a beautiful young man’ previously supported waging jihad against British soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Asim Qureshi, research director at Cage, called on Muslims to back jihadists at an anti-US rally held in London in 2006.

In an emotive speech caught on video, Mr Qureshi told a crowd gathered at rally organised by Hizb-ut Tahrir, an Islamist group: “When we see the example of our brothers and sisters fighting in Chechnya, Iraq, Palestine, Kashmir, Afghanistan, then we know where the example lies. When we see Hezbollah defeating the armies of Israel, we know where the solution is and where the victory lies.

“We know that it is incumbent upon all of us, to support the jihad of our brothers and sisters in these countries when they are facing the oppression of the West.”

Note the BBC faithfully and without challenge reporting Cage’s assertion that Emwazi was radicalised by MI5 and that he should have been tried and not ‘droned’….Jeremy Corbyn’s line.

This plays into the BBC’s own preferred narrative…one that it was promulgating not 2 days ago when the Islamist IHRC, on Armistice Day, announced this….

Government policy ‘negatively affects’ Muslims

Government policies, including those linked to security and extremism, are having a “negative impact” on British Muslims, a campaign body’s report says.

‘A campaign body‘ eh?  That’ll be yet another Islamist front group that the BBC presents as credible and honest.

Anyway, to be clear, it is all the fault either of UK foreign policy or the nefarious activities of the security services driving Muslims into the arms of the Jihadis…no other reason..there’s no rhyme, reason or religion behind their radicalisation.

To cap this off the BBC’s Frank Gardner, ever more useless and unreliable as a witness, came onto 5Live (around 18:07) to give us his analysis but first we heard (18:06:30) from the presenter, Anna Foster, who told us what Cameron said about Emwazi and then said ‘Moving away from the politicians let’s hear what the really important people say, the relatives of Emwazi’s victims…’.  However I imagine it won’t be long before the BBC is reporting with relish all the criticisms of Cameron’s position on Emwazi’s killing….his ‘assassination’ and ‘execution’.  In fact the BBC has kicked off that criticism already……

Gardner then came on and gushed about Emwazi’s death….

‘Militarily I think it will have very little effect at all…psychologically it is important because prime ministers going way back many many years in this country love to be able to say ‘We will bring these people to justice and they will be held accountable’ .’

Ahhh yes…you thought Gardner was going to say this was psychologically important because a high profile propagandist for the Islamic State was taken out of the equation….but you were wrong…the BBC are only intent on slagging off Cameron and Blair.

Gardner goes on to make a very personal statement…

‘What this guy [Emwazi] should have had is the day in court and be made to atone for his sins…instead of which he’s probably had a quick and painless death which is what he denied his own victims.’

Kind of a remarkable statement, not just because it is one of opinion, but also one that is hugely hypocritical given the BBC’s relentless opposition to the prison in Guantanamo Bay….how long before the BBC would have started the campaign to get Emwazi released?

Too early to say for sure who is responsible for the attacks in Paris tonight but should it be the BBC’s Islamist friends shouldn’t we start asking serious questions about the BBC’s enthusiasm for the Islamist narrative and the consequences that ensue from the massive amount of propaganda the BBC pumps out on their behalf?

Warming set to breach 1C threshold

This report tells us that the El Nino is partially responsible for the heat…but er, not much really…

Scientists say that the one degree mark will be broken in 2015 because of a combination of carbon emissions and the impact of the El Nino weather phenomenon.

“We have seen a strong El Nino develop in the Tropical Pacific this year and that will have had some impact on this year’s global temperature,” said Stephen Belcher, director of the Met Office Hadley Centre.

“We’ve had similar natural events in the past, yet this is the first time we’re set to reach the 1C marker and it’s clear that it is human influence driving our modern climate into uncharted territory.”

What the BBC avoids mentioning is just how strong the El Nino is…..from the Telegraph…

Britain can expect a winter to rival that of 2013 with the biggest ‘Super El Nino’ in 144 years expected to hit the UK

The El Nino in 1998 was responsible for the heatwaves back then……since when we have had the flatlining of global warming…..Breaching 1ºC due to the El Nino and associating it so closely with ‘global warming’ is somewhat fraudulent and misleading…conflating natural and alleged human causes.

The Met Office states the obvious…

A Met Office spokesperson said: “This year’s El Niño started to grow in April and it has now become a strong, mature event similar to the landmark 1997-8 event.

Anyway, back to ‘What is clmate change?’, a report which makes many dubious ‘scientific’ claims to support the BBC’s mantra about climate change and CO2 in particular……

Here’s what we know and don’t know about the Earth’s changing climate.

The planet’s climate has constantly been changing over geological time……However, the current period of warming is occurring more rapidly than many past events.

Really?  Temperatures have always risen and fallen dramatically…

In fact looking at a more recent period you can see that temperatures now are looking as within a ‘normal’ range, especially as we are coming out of an ‘ice age’……

Of course the BBC is basing its ‘science’ on the discredited ‘Hockey stick’ delusion which, as WUWT pointed out, relied upon a lie…..

“We have to abolish the medieval warm period.”

By 2001, the IPCC’s Third Assessment Report had obliged; and, notwithstanding my Expert Review of the draft Fifth Report, in which I had listed some 400 papers from the medieval warm period database at www.co2science.org establishing by measurement that the medieval warm period was real, was global and was almost everywhere warmer than the present, the IPCC defied the evidence and preferred the models that had been shown to be defective (McIntyre & McKitrick, 2005).

Harrabin always tried to fudge the evidence for the MWP and claim that, well, it may have been warm but you know what…only in parts of the globe.  Of course Harrabin’s quite ready to use high temperatures in the UK as evidence of warming whilst ignoring a frozen America and Russia.

What of CO2 emissions?  Apparently man-made emissions are the main source of CO2…’natural’ sources only emit 3%……or is that just a deliberate attempt to confuse as the BBC doesn’t state if all these emissions are man-made or not….

Natural sources produce more CO2…

Human sources of carbon dioxide are much smaller than natural emissions but they upset the balance in the carbon cycle that existed before the Industrial Revolution.

Is the BBC reluctant to mention that as it might undermine their natrrative?  Nature produces 95% of all CO2……

Water vapour…important?  Yes but no, let’s just ignore it…

‘The most important of these greenhouse gases in terms of its contribution to warming is water vapour, but concentrations show little change and it persists in the atmosphere for only a few days.’

Curious that water vapour concentrations show little change when the BBC et al tell us that the world is getting very warm and the oceans are absorbing all that heat….surely that would result in more water vapour…but no, apparently not…concentrations ‘show little change’.  A puzzler no?

Methane, important?  Again, as with water vapour, no…

‘Other greenhouse gases such as methane and nitrous oxide are also released through human activities, but their overall abundance is small compared with carbon dioxide.’

What do others say?…

In 2013, CH4 accounted for about 10% of all U.S. greenhouse gas emissions from human activities. Methane is emitted by natural sources such as wetlands, as well as human activities such as leakage from natural gas systems and the raising of livestock. Natural processes in soil and chemical reactions in the atmosphere help remove CH4 from the atmosphere. Methane’s lifetime in the atmosphere is much shorter than carbon dioxide (CO2), but CH4 is more efficient at trapping radiation than CO2. Pound for pound, the comparative impact of CH4 on climate change is more than 25 times greater than CO2 over a 100-year period.

Globally, over 60% of total CH4 emissions come from human activities. Methane is emitted from industry, agriculture, and waste management activities, described below.

Or even from the BBC itself when it isn’t peddling a particular narrative about CO2….

The importance of methane in the greenhouse effect is its warming effect. Even though it occurs in lower concentrations than carbon dioxide, it produces 21 times as much warming as CO2. Methane accounts for 20% of the ‘enhanced greenhouse effect’.

Sea levels?  ‘Alarming’ stats and predictions again…

‘Satellite data shows an average increase in global sea levels of some 3mm per year in recent decades…..As seawater warms up, the molecules become less densely packed, causing an increase in the volume of the ocean.

But the melting of mountain glaciers and the retreat of polar ice sheets are also important contributors.

The Greenland Ice Sheet has experienced record melting in recent years; if the entire 2.8 million cu km sheet were to melt, it would raise sea levels by 6m.’

Preschooler outdoes climate models

Back in 2001, little Alby Brushtail was just 4 when he predicted global sea levels for a decade by drawing a straight line through a graph. Today, Will Steffen, Director of the Climate Institute admits that global climate models are woeful at predicting sea levels in a story titled: “Sea levels rising at top end of estimates”.

The failure of the sophisticated models is all the more baffling because by 2001,  global sea levels had been rising at the not-so-tricky, fairly steady rate of 3mm a year for the previous nine years. Despite this simple linear trend, even with the worlds best equipment and budgets of millions, the top experts only barely managed to predict future sea levels within their broad error margins.

In the end, they couldn’t outdo the four year old who drew the line in with an orange crayon in his preschool class and who simply said that the 3mm a year trend would “just keep going”.

For his remarkable success in 2001, Alby credited Mr Squiggle, but says he’s moved on now, and uses a ruler.*

Satellites have been measuring sea levels, on a global basis, with unprecedented accuracy, since 1992. They show that the seas have been rising roughly 3mm a year over the last 18 years. The most recent figures hint that, if anything, the trend has slightly slowed in the last four years.**

WUWT….

‘From the beginning of the climate alarmism in the 1980s, the long-predicted acceleration in the rate of sea level rise has been … well … the kindest description might be “late to the party”, because the predicted acceleration still hasn’t arrived. James Hansen famously predicted back in 1988 that in forty years the West Side Highway in New York City would be underwater. From the 1988 levels, to swamp the West Side Highway would require about a 3 metre (10 foot) sea level rise.

We’re now 27 years into his prediction, two-thirds of the way there, and instead of two-thirds of three metres of sea level rise, the sea level rise in NYC since his prediction has been … wait for it …

Three inches. 7.5 cm.

And from this point to make his prediction come true, we’d need ~ 9.9 feet of sea level rise in 13 years … that’s three quarters of a foot (225 mm) each and every year for the next thirteen years. Never happen. His prediction, like the overwhelming majority of climate alarmist predictions, is total nonsense.’

 

And what of this from the BBC’s climate change primer?…

‘Satellite data shows the West Antarctic Ice Sheet is also losing mass, and a recent study indicated that East Antarctica, which had displayed no clear warming or cooling trend, may also have started to lose mass in the last few years. But scientists are not expecting dramatic changes. In some places, mass may actually increase as warming temperatures drive the production of more snows.’

That’s a pure, outright lie from the BBC…..East Antarctica and the interior of Western Antarctica are gaining ice…..

‘All the findings, based on satellite imagery of the eastern Antarctic ice fields, determine that ice is being formed faster than it’s being melted.’

Like that little disclaimer about global warming causing the snow though.

And…

What about the pause?

‘What pause?’ says the BBC….

‘Climate scientists point out that the hiatus occurs in just one component of the climate system – the global mean surface temperature – and that other indicators, such as melting ice and changes to plant and animal life, demonstrate that the Earth has continued to warm.’

Can’t trust the temperature readings when you have to judge whether the world is warming can you!

And what’s the outcome of global warming?…

How will climate change affect us?

The scale of potential impacts is uncertain. The changes could drive freshwater shortages, bring sweeping changes in food production conditions, and increase the number of deaths from floods, storms, heat waves and droughts. This is because climate change is expected to increase the frequency of extreme weather events – though linking any single event to global warming is complicated.

So it’s complicated, nobody’s really sure but you’re all going to die if you don’t stop pumping out that evil, polluting gas CO2.

So in summary, the BBC has told porkies about just about every aspect of global warming, its causes and effects in this one report.  The BBC’s narrative is solely focused on CO2 and is determined to downplay the role of other sources of gas emissions….this plays into a very political narrative peddled by the IPCC, greens, leftists and anti-western, anti-capitalism and industry campaigners about CO2 and the ‘need’ to reduce its emission.

The BBC is not concerned with the science but with a political narrative.  It is selling a lie…and its chief cheerleader is its very own environmental journo Roger Harabin whose reporting and shaping of the message has distorted the truth and you could justifiably lay some of the blame for the lay offs at those British steel mills at his door as he gave cover to politicians like Miliband to implement otherwise extreme and destructive policies in the name of tackling climate change…as caused by CO2….allegedly.

If you have ever watched the American spook series ‘Homeland’ you may be surprised by the following narratives about the series.

What these narratives illustrate is how the Islamists and their allies hijack ‘innocent’ events and twist them to create anti-Western propaganda that is all too readily picked up by the intended audience and then acted upon.  The first example shows how ready the BBC is to accept that twisted narrative, in this case of American, white, racism and Muslim victimisation….there is no challenge to that narrative…

Artists hired by the makers of the US show Homeland to write graffiti on one of its sets in Berlin say they wrote messages criticising the show’s alleged stereotypes of Arabs and Muslims.

The artists wrote graffiti reading “Homeland is racist” and “Homeland is rubbish”, among others.

The artists said in a statement that they were initially reluctant about the commission “until we considered what a moment of intervention could relay about our own and many others’ political discontent with the series”.

“It was our moment to make our point by subverting the message using the show itself,” they said.

Anyone who has watched the show must know that its whole premise rests upon a warcrime by the US vice-president in launching a drone attack against a school, the result being the turning of a US Marine from hero to terrorist.  The whole series is very nuanced and just as prepared to portray Americans as ‘bad guys’ as anyone else…racist it ain’t.  Shame the BBC couldn’t find the time to mention the reality of the show.

Which brings us to this even more outrageous piece of comment on ‘Homeland’…or rather someone using ‘Homeland’ to vent his own extremist anti-White, anti-Semitic racism…..scarily this guy is teaching at a US university……

Just as Israeli racist representations of Arabs are a reflection of an overall Israeli Jewish structural racism that pervades every aspect of Israeli Jewish society, American media racism is also just a branch of a larger American racism and racialism on which much of American culture, history, and national identity is based. Still, this need not sway the casual observer from analyzing the dynamism of white American nationalist fantasies about their internal and external racial others as represented in the news media or in televised fiction.

The racialist structure of the show is reflective of American and Israeli fantasies of anti-Muslim American multiculturalism. The African American Estes is divorced and his former wife married an American Jew. She and their children converted to Judaism. He has also had a dalliance with his colleague Carrie that went awry. The Jewish Berenson is married to an Indian Hindu “brown” woman (perhaps cementing the Indian Hindu-Israeli Jewish rightwing alliance against Arabs and Muslims in the minds of the scriptwriters). On the first season of the show, cross racial romance seems to have also infected the character of a white rich American woman who fell in love with a “brown” mild-mannered Saudi professor at a US university and conscripted him in the service of Al-Qaida, which leads to his ultimate death and her imprisonment, though not before the Jewish Berenson tells her how much he identifies with her as two white people who fell in love with brown people.

Just like American whiteness, which is always completely pure that only one drop of black blood makes an American black, American heterosexuality is equally pure, so much so that a once-a-week homosexual experience renders a man married to three women (and presumably has heterosexual sex with them for the rest of the week) “gay”!  Clearly Arab society is so horrific that it forces gay men not only to marry one woman, but three!

That American shows are now equal-opportunity offenders in their racism against internal and external others is hardly news, but that the first black American president is a fan of them should be.

Massad thinks too much, way too much, and seems to forget what he has written before…for instance on Gays….now he says its a black and white issue…you’re gay or not…before this wasn’t the case…guess he has a narrative for every occasion as it suits…

‘Massad argues that “Western male white-dominated” gay activists, under the umbrella of what he terms the “Gay International,” have engaged in a “missionary” effort to impose the binary categories of heterosexual/homosexual into cultures where no such subjectivities exist, and that these activists in fact ultimately replicate in these cultures the very structures they challenge in their own home countries. Massad writes that “The categories gay and lesbian are not universal at all and can only be universalized by the epistemic, ethical, and political violence unleashed on the rest of the world by the very international human rights advocates whose aim is to defend the very people their intervention is creating.”‘

Massad is especially critical of “rabidly pro-Israeli American President Obama.”

Massad refers to the Palestinian Authority as the “Palestinian Collaborationist Authority,” calls Mahmoud Abbas the “chief Palestinian collaborator,” and accuses the PA of collaborating with Israel and the United States to crush Palestinian resistance.

‘Turn a blind eye’

In an interview with the BBC, Mr Hammond also said the UK needed to show more of a “duty of care” to vulnerable people at risk of being radicalised by extremists.

Asked by BBC security correspondent Frank Gardner if the new counter-extremism strategy was an admission of failure, not just by this government but by previous governments, Mr Hammond said: “I don’t think it’s just a failure by governments, I think it’s a question about how our society has dealt with these issues in the past.

“And the doctrine of multiculturalism that we clung to for a long time in the UK, I’m afraid, encouraged us to turn a blind eye to things that we should have addressed.

“It allowed us to overlook intolerance that was going on under our very noses.”

A failure of government?  The endemic promotion of multiculturalism and the related turning of the ‘blind eye’ to cultural and ideological  horrors that were imported was something that the BBC specialised in.  It continues to do so now celebrating ‘migrants’ whilst deliberately ignoring the deeply unpleasant stuff that comes with them as well.

The BBC shows us pictures of women and children when the reality is that the vast, vast majority of migrants are young men.  The BBC also doesn’t highlight the fact that most of these people are Muslim which has implications for society in the very near future.

SEVERAL millennia were required to build European civilisation but its impending destruction has been the work of just a few years, carried out by a cadre of irresponsible, unpatriotic and deluded politicians led by German Chancellor Angela Merkel.

Dressing up their vandalism as compassion and their cowardice as moral superiority, these leaders have created an immigration crisis so profound that the very existence of our European culture and heritage is under mortal threat. 

The tragic paradox of the obsession with free movement and the abolition of national identities is that Europe in any meaningful sense will probably cease to exist this century. 

As the social revolution accelerates traditional values of democracy, freedom and solidarity will be replaced by conflict, sectarianism, oppression and intolerance. 

Increasingly Islamified, barbaric and poverty-stricken, Europe will become indistinguishable from large swathes of North Africa and the Middle East.

The BBC seems to have totally ignored this rather important prediction from the EU…

The EU covers up its failure to control immigration by disengenuously claiming this is a good thing, an opportunity bringing economic growth to Europe.

You have to suspect that 3 million is a vast underestimate the way things are going.

The BBC prefers to bring you stories that are intended to build empathy for migrants and a sense of pity for their plight…such as this….

When You’re a Refugee and Your Husband Beats You, You’re Basically On Your Own

She escaped from Syria, only to be abused by her husband in a refugee center in Germany. One woman’s struggle to get help exposes the cracks in an overwhelmed refugee system. Jina Moore reports for BuzzFeed News.

He’d always said nasty things to her, even in public. “Bitch.” “Slut.” “Fuck you, and fuck your parents.” But in the camp, he started to hit her in front of people. One night, about two weeks before I met F, he ripped the handle out of the door and started beating her with it. Then he choked her.

If there had been a criminal investigation, what happened to F might’ve been called attempted homicide. If there had been gender experts brought in, they might’ve warned that men who choke women usually kill them later. And if there had been refugee advocates consulted, they might’ve pointed out that refugee women have been at risk in German refugee camps for years.

Meanwhile, most women in these camps don’t speak English, let alone German, and they’ve come from countries that don’t protect women who are abused by their husbands. One 25-year-old Syrian woman described what it’s like back home this way: “If your husband wants to kill you, he can kill you, and no one will say anything to him.”
