Iran: We Will Hunt Down Israelis House To House

The BBC thinks the below is a major story judging by the coverage given over to it:

Moeen Ali

England’s Moeen Ali warned over pro-Gaza Test wristbands

The BBC for some reason refrains from mentioning Moeen Ali is Muslim and yet it is an important part of his identity, symbolised by his beard apparently, and must play a major part in his support for Gaza:

“It’s a very important part of myself and the community I’m from and I’m very proud,” he added. “In terms of trying to inspire other people with faith to play and stuff I am very proud of that. I remember seeing Muslim athletes or guys with other faiths performing and still carrying the label of being a religious person and it does inspire people.”

However the BBC doesn’t seem too concerned, or at least concerned enough to report it, that Iran is threatening, once again to ‘wipe Israel off the map’ and presumably slaughter all the Jews who live there….all to be done in partnership with fellow ‘Final Solution’ enthusiasts Hamas…wonder if there is an arm band for that…..and what would it look like:

We Will Hunt Down Israelis House To House

The deputy commander of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards vowed revenge against Israel for its ongoing military incursion into Gaza, which has already killed hundreds of Palestinians and dozens of Israelis.

“You [people of Israel] are trees without any roots which were planted in the Islamic lands by the British,” Brig. Gen. Hossein Salami said at this week’s Friday prayer sermon in Tehran.

“We will chase you house to house and will take revenge for every drop of blood of our martyrs in Palestine,” Salami said. “and this is the beginning point of Islamic nations awakening for your defeat.”

“Imam [Khomeini] with the statement that Israel must be wiped from the face of the Earth gave a true message to the world. This message enlightened the Muslims and became the concept on the streets of Syria, Lebanon and Palestine.”

Salami, recalling previous wars Israel fought against Hezbollah in Lebanon, said: “The end of the Zionist regime [Israel] has arrived. Islamic movements are armed, missiles are positioned, and today we witness how the arms of the resistance in a corner of the Islamic world are controlling the events in the face of the tragic and barbaric attack by the Zionist regime against the oppressed and defenseless Palestinians in Gaza.”

The Islamic regime’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, said that the only solution for the region is the destruction of Israel, and that the armed confrontation must expand beyond Gaza. “These crimes are beyond imagination and show the true nature of the wolfish and child killer regime, (and) the only solution is its destruction,” the ayatollah declared to his audience.

The flag of Islam will be raised.

The present clash in Gaza is not the cause of this attitude from Iran…the exact same sentiments have been repeated many times….one of the last times earlier this year by the same General….via MEMRI:

“Despite the geographical distance, we are attached to the hearts of the Palestinians. How is it that our slogans and goals are identical to the slogans and causes of the Palestinians? Why do we strive to become martyrs and risk our lives for the Palestinian cause? The answer is that the religion of Islam has designated this for us – this goal, this motivation, this belief, this energy – so that we, here, can muster all our energies in order to annihilate the Zionist entity, more than 1,400 kilometers away.”

Listen To The Children

Lyse Doucet is fronting a programme tonight, ‘Children of Syria’ (BBC 2  21:00)  about the children in Syria, suffering because of the war.  In her write up about the programme she of course also manages to slip in plenty about the children of Gaza…..though she neglects  to mention the children in Israel under constant Palestinian bombardment.

She tells us that ‘Over the past six months, I and director-cameraman Robin Barnwell followed the lives of six Syrian children. Their stories sketch a political and social map of their nation and provide a troubling glimpse into its future.

In wars of our time, the games children play can be the game changers of their future.’

Odd the sudden interest in the children of the Middle East, well, some of them.  How long has the BBC ignored the truth about the conflict between the Jews and Muslims?  The conflict that carries on because the Palestinians teach their children, each new generation, to hate Jews, to kill jews.

Until that essential truth is brought out into the open on mainstream news there will be no pressure on the Palestinians to change that dynamic that consigns their children’s future to never ending war…..’the lives of its children will shape the country’s future for decades to come.’  as Doucet says …about Syria.

Until the likes of the BBC expose what the Palestinians do to their children and their minds the Israelis will always be painted as the aggressors…the truth is that the Palestinians refuse to accept and recognise Israel and teach their children that the Jews must be killed in order to turn ‘Palestine’ into a JudenFrei zone…the Children of course being the next generation of recruits to continue the war.

Hamas to establish military academy for schoolkids

Hamas Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh announced on Thursday that the military academy, the first of its kind in the Gaza Strip, would prepare the children for the “phase of liberating Palestine.”

Haniyeh said that the new academy would educate and prepare children for the establishment of a Palestinian state “from the river to the sea.”

Doucet knows this and indeed it is the final thought from her piece:

In wars of our time, the games children play can be the game changers of their future.

Shame the games they play are murderous, based on hate and on the genocidal concept that the BBC always tries to ignore...a Palestine from the river to the sea.

Hamas TV teaches children to kill ‘all Jews’

Child host: “OK, so what does a policeman do?”
Nahul (adult in giant bee costume): “He catches thieves, and people who make trouble.”
Child host: “And shoots Jews. Right?”
Girl: “Yes.”
Child host: “You want to be like him?”
[Girl nods]
Child host: “Allah willing, when you grow up.”
Girl: “So that I can shoot Jews.”
[Nahul the bee cheers]
Child host: “All of them? All of them?”
Girl: “Yes.”
Child host: “Good.”

Gaza kids ‘training to kill Jews’

Salah al-Din Brigades training dozens of Palestinian children to ‘fight the Jews and kill Jewish children’. Eleven-year-old trainee: I’d rather die fighting the occupation than die at home from a missile. Islamic Jihad threatens to unleash ‘the fires of hell’ on Israel

“I am learning how to fight the Jews and kill Jewish children,” 11-year-old Muhammad told Ynet, “the parents of the Jewish children are the soldiers and officers who kill us here. I want these parents to get a taste of what it’s like to have your children killed, just as the Palestinians experience every day.

Did Hamas Kill 15 Children At UN School?

Whilst the BBC were quick to say Israel was to blame for the deaths at the UN school they’ re not so keen to say Israel isn’t to blame…merely ‘Israel rejects the blame’...

Israel rejects Gaza school shelter attack blame

The Israeli army has insisted that a mortar round it fired into a UN shelter in Gaza on Thursday in a clash with “militants” was not responsible for the deaths of at least 15 people.

The BBC curiously, for all its eager uptake of the digital revolution and use of social media, hasn’t linked to the IDF video (above).

From CIF Watch:

Within the last hour, the IDF released the following statement:

Since Thursday, July 24, 2014, the IDF has conducted a comprehensive inquiry regarding the incident in which the UNRWA school was fired upon. The inquiry concluded that during the intense fighting between IDF forces and Hamas militants, the militants operated adjacent to the UNRWA school. The militants fired anti-tank missiles at IDFsoldiers, who then responded by firing several mortars in their direction.

The inquiry and the documented footage presented here concluded that a single errant mortar landed in the courtyard of the UNRWA school, when it was completely empty.

The IDF stresses it does not operate or target international organizations in the Gaza Strip, and the ongoing coordination conducted via the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT) is continuous without change, even during times of combat.

In light of the inquiry’s findings, the IDF rejects the claims that were made by various officials immediately following the incident, that people were killed in the school premises as a result of IDF operational activity.

You Can Be Anti-Semitic…Just Be Clever About It!

‘It pains me to have to admit this but anti-Semitism isn’t just tolerated in some sections of the British Muslim community; it’s routine and commonplace. Any Muslims reading this article – if they are honest with themselves – will know instantly what I am referring to. It’s our dirty little secret. You could call it the banality of Muslim anti-Semitism.’   Mehdi Hasan

When Muslims murdered 52 people and injured over 700 in London in 2007 one of the BBC’s main priorities was to attempt to find a motivation for the bombings other than the truth.

The BBC rushed to ask ‘What drove these young British Muslims to do this act?’  The BBC’s answer was of course that it was our own fault…these poor Muslims were probably jobless, disenfranchised, disadvantaged and discriminated against…therefore the BBC concluded…the bombings could be ‘understandable’….when Democracy fails you you have to adopt other means as the BBC once told us in relation to the terrorist group ‘The Weathermen’ in America.  The BBC soon backtracked on that approach when complaints flooded in…however they continue it sotto voce.

A murderous spree excused by the BBC on the grounds that the killers were upset becasue they were jobless and unrepresented in the political discourse.  And yet the BBC can’t understand why Israel, under constant attack for 70 years  and threat of annihilation, should wish to destroy Hamas and its ilk.

The BBC’s John Simpson, the Liberator of Kabul, rustled up a similar excuse when he claimed that riots in France by the Muslim immigrants were due to Muslim’s fury and resentment, bitter grievances, ignored and demeaned, kept in poverty by a system which cares very little about them

The BBC are staying very quiet about the recent bouts of Muslim ‘fury and resentment’ as attackers prowl the streets of Europe hunting down Jews….the same BBC that handed over the airwaves to Muslim activists raging about ‘Islamophobia’ and acted as cheerleader for the orchestrated Establishment witch hunt against the EDL.

The BBC’s almost complete silence on anti-Semitism is striking.

The Sunday Times headlines the new Europe that is developing, and has been, ignored by the BBC, for years…Gaza is just a cover for anti-Semites to carry out their pogroms….after all where are the same ‘protests’ about ISIS, Syria, Pakistan, Nigeria and all those other countires where Christians are becoming an endangered species….not just Christians but Muslims declared not to be ‘Muslim’…and that includes Britain where the Ahmadi are declared blasphemers…and hence are in danger.

The Times states:

‘Anti-Semitic attacks scar British cities.’

Many of the attacks are carried out by young Muslim men it tells us…as do reports from across Europe.

We are told Europe is abandoning its basic values such as freedom and tolerance and is capitulating before those who place hatred and extremism above all else.

Funny how the BBC turns a blind eye.

Oh the BBC nods in the direction of events occuring:

Gaza conflict: France criticises ‘anti-Semitic’ riot

Windows smashed at Belfast synagogue on Somerton Road

But you know what’s missing?  Any mention of Muslim attackers.

However the BBC isn’t so coy when they can pin the blame on the ‘Far Right’ :

From a house of hate, an outburst of violence

Are white supremacists in the US given too much freedom to make hateful speeches? As a shooting spree in Kansas shines a spotlight on extremist ideology and its virulent nature, Tara McKelvey goes back to the scene of the crime, in the city where she grew up, to find out.

Note that the cause of that anti-Semitism is ‘hate..a virulent, extremist ideology ‘.

Surely the man was just neglected, disenfranchised, ignored and demeaned?

The BBC thinks such peole shouldn’t be allowed to voice their opinions.

Of course the BBC wouldn’t like to examine the root causes of rising anti-Semitism as its own reporting is one of the major contributors to that phenomenon.

Its reporting from the Middle East, not just about Israel and Palestine, but about the Iraq war and Afghanistan, has fed into the Islamist narrative that ‘Western foreign policy’ is to blame for all the ills there…serving as a justification for the violence and a recruiting tool for the Jihadists.

Even as we speak the BBC continues to feed the beast….Its reporter Paul Adams in Gaza feeds us Hamas/Islamist propaganda (H/T Is the BBC biased?):

Generations [of Gazans] has experienced nothing but occupation, embargo, blockade, war and death. It’s had a slow brutalising effect. Perhaps that’s why some of them are seized by such a furious desire to tunnel out and seek revenge. For Gaza is a giant prison, surrounding by a wall, watchtowers and the most sophisticated military in the Middle East.

But when so many of those dismembered and burned by Israeli rockets and shells are not the fighters but women, old people and, especially, children, then it’s really, really hard not to conclude that the Palestinians are being collectively punished.

But the BBC has a more subtle approach…encouraging people to criticise Israel, because the default position is that, as we know, Israel’s actions are unjustified and probably war crimes (H/T Jeremy Bowen)…but you know what…do try not to be anti-Semitic there’s a good chap…….

#BBCtrending: Criticising Israel, avoiding anti-Semitism

“How to criticise Israel without being anti-Semitic” – that’s the title of a blog post that’s being widely shared as the death toll in Gaza rises.

The blog begins like this: “If you’ve spent any time discussing or reading about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, I guarantee you’ve heard some variation of this statement: OMG, Jews think any criticism of Israel is anti-Semitic!”

It includes 19 “tips” for anyone who wants to criticise Israel – mainly advice on what to avoid.

The blog also includes a counterpoint post, “How to Support Israel Without Being Racist“, with a similar list of points to avoid. “Don’t call Palestinians ‘animals’ or ‘savages’,” and “Don’t say ‘Arab’ when you mean Palestinian,” for example. It concludes: “If you expect Palestinians and their allies not to be anti-Semitic, you’d better extend the same courtesy and not be racist.”

In this report from Germany the BBC suggests the Jews play the Holocaust card, saying Germans would be far more critical of Israel if only they hadn’t killed 6 million Jews….you must not think the Germans actually support the Israelis just because they say they do or stay quiet!

The BBC of course is once again settling for the default position that Israel is the guilty party in Gaza.

If it weren’t for the Holocaust they’s all be Hamas!!!

Gaza conflict: Berlin protests show dividing lines

The difficulty for many Germans is to know which side to support: Holocaust guilt has made supporting Israel a doctrine of faith for the German government. And anything that calls Israel’s existence into question is beyond the pale.

At the same time many Germans are disturbed by the death toll in Gaza and don’t agree with Israel’s actions.

In this report from BBC Trending, which studiuously ignored Palestinian propaganda that faked a civilian being shot by ‘an Israeli sniper’, the BBC has a subtle dig at Israelis…..

#BBCtrending: Sexy selfies in support of IDF

 Yafit Duer

A Facebook campaign has been launched which encourages women to submit sexy selfies to boost the morale of Israel Defense Forces (IDF) soldiers.

The “Standing with IDF” page was launched on Wednesday and now has more than 12,000 likes. It includes dozens of photos of skimpily-dressed women, with “I love IDF” scrawled across their bodies.

Note the obviously pointed juxtapositon of the campaign to support the troops with the death toll from Gaza…..The BBC’s pious, self-righteous, snearing condemnation of Israeli women who give the troops a morale boost as they fight Palestinian terorists….

The slogan expresses support for the IDF currently engaged in a major offensive against Palestinian militants in Gaza. The conflict has so far cost more than 800 lives, the vast majority Palestinian, and mainly civilians, according to the UN.

Perhaps the BBC should have a word with Vera Lynn:

or the Sun:

The BBC happily relays the messages of disgust about the Israeli women’s behaviour….

….many have expressed disgust on social media towards the site. “Facebook insanity! Israeli women posting nude to support IDF so disgusting!” tweeted one woman. Others have described the pictures as “war porn” and “patriotic smut“. Some are calling for the Facebook site to be taken down.

No such disgust about women dressing up in support of terrorism……

No mention by the BBC curiously of this comment on the site either:

Moslem PakravanToday at 10:25

fuck all of you mother fuckers…some bitches support your’e fuckin country….. son of bitches kill women and kids then you come here for support a military that every seconds killing people’s it’s my support to all of Israel. FUCK ALL OF YOU MURDERED FUCK ALL OF MOTHER FUCKERS

Not So Innocents Abroad

Some astonishing quotes from the BBC’s Paul Adams…H/T Craig at Is the BBC biased? (You know what, I think it might be):

Generations [of Gazans] has experienced nothing but occupation, embargo, blockade, war and death. It’s had a slow brutalising effect. Perhaps that’s why some of them are seized by such a furious desire to tunnel out and seek revenge. For Gaza is a giant prison, surrounding by a wall, watchtowers and the most sophisticated military in the Middle East.

But when so many of those dismembered and burned by Israeli rockets and shells are not the fighters but women, old people and, especially, children, then it’s really, really hard not to conclude that the Palestinians are being collectively punished.

No..it isn’t  a prison..the walls are to keep the Palestinian murderers out of Israel….collectively punished?  Yes…by Hamas and all the other Arab countries that keep Palestinians in poverty and continue to use them as a weapon against Israel.

If you want perspective you won’t find it on the BBC.

If you want a narrative that is feeding into the rise of 1930’s style anti-Semitism you will.

Here is what Mark Twain thought of the Muslim controlled Holy Lands:

‘ “This wasteland of Palestine,” with “its miniscule Arab presence, making use of virtually none of the available land for the people’s own meager needs, could hardly be considered a serious counter to the claim of millions of Jews the world over to a state of their own.”

Rags, wretchedness, poverty and dirt, those signs and symbols that indicate the presence of Moslem rule more surely than the crescent-flag itself, abound. Lepers, cripples, the blind, and the idiotic, assail you on every hand, and they know but one word of but one language apparently—the eternal “bucksheesh.” To see the numbers of maimed, malformed and diseased humanity that throng the holy places and obstruct the gates, one might suppose that the ancient days had come again, and that the angel of the Lord was expected to descend at any moment to stir the waters of Bethesda. Jerusalem is mournful, and dreary, and lifeless. I would not desire to live here. ‘

No doubt Adams and his ilk would say Twain was small minded and crude….but then who would know better than Paul Adams what small minded and crude would look like?  He has a mirror I presume.

So things don’t change much…even the language and attitudes remain….the one word Muslim activists know is ‘Islamophobia’….in essence exactly the same as ‘Bucksheesh’….begging for special treatment and handouts.

The Truce Is Out There, Somewhere

Curious decision by BBC News to choose a supposed Israeli rejection of a truce as its headline:

Gaza conflict: Israel rejects truce ‘as it stands’

Way way down the article is this single line……

Hamas official Mohamed Nazzal told al-Jazeera TV the ceasefire proposal was “not acceptable at all” in its current form.

So why did the BBC not have a headline saying Hamas rejected the truce?

Especially as John Kerry said:

Israel has not rejected Gaza ceasefire, claims John Kerry

The US secretary of state, John Kerry, denied on Friday night that Israel had rejected the offer of a ceasefire in Gaza, minutes after news broke that Israel’s cabinet had said no to the possibility of a seven-day truce.

Kerry – emerging from a day of negotiations in Cairo, where he had spoken with regional power brokers including the UN secretary general, Ban Ki-Moon – said that nothing had been offered to Israel for its cabinet to reject.

“There was no formal proposal submitted to Israel,” he said. “Let’s make that absolutely crystal clear. Prime Minister [Binyamin] Netanyahu called me a few minutes before this to tell me that that [rejection] was an error, and he’s putting out a statement to that effect … It’s fair to say that Israel had some opposition to some concepts, but that doesn’t mean a proposal by any means.”

  • Guardian time stamp:
  • BBC time stamp: 25 July 2014 Last updated at 22:47

The fact that Israel did commit to a truce and wishes to extend it whilst Hamas keeps rocketing says it all…perhaps the BBC have seen the light….this is the latest headline:

Hamas rockets after Israel truce bid

Though why not ‘Palestinian rockets’ just as the BBC reports ‘Palestinian casualties’?

Not The BBC News

We know that Hamas has stored weapons in UN schools, we know that Hamas have military command centres in hospitals, we know that Hamas missiles fall short back into Gaza, we know that Hamas intends to wipe out Israel.

All essential context for any report into what is happening in Gaza.

We know that a UN school was hit by a missile of some description.  We don’t know who is to blame yet.

We know Hamas was firing from locations either in or around the school.

Here is a video from 2009 that shows a Hamas mortar team operating from the exact same school:

Here is a video that reminds us just how much Hamas cares for Palestinian kids:

It might be relevant for the BBC to remind people of such events and that…

‘Israel uses rockets to protect its civilians, Hamas uses its civilians to protect its rockets’

Or of this from the BBC in 2006…that ‘non-existent’ human shield:

Palestinians’ high-risk human shield tactic

Alan Johnston
BBC News, Gaza

The boys on the roofs, armed only with Palestinian flags and facing down war planes, are a David and Goliath image for the modern age.

But nobody should imagine that the likes of Hamas are suddenly being won over wholly to the strategies of pacifism.

If they possessed anti-aircraft guns, they would surely blaze away at the circling planes.

Fathi Hammad, a Hamas member of the Palestinian Legislative Council:

“For the Palestinian people, death has become an industry, at which women excel, and so do all the people living on this land. The elderly excel at this, and so do the mujahideen and the children. This is why they have formed human shields of the women, the children, the elderly, and the mujahideen, in order to challenge the Zionist bombing machine. It is as if they were saying to the Zionist enemy: ‘We desire death like you desire life.’”

And yet Jeremy Bowen claims this:

I saw no evidence of Hamas using Palestinians as human shields

Bowen’s misleading claim has spread across the world:

BBC’s Jeremy Bowen: Hamas is not using Palestinians as human shield

The algemeiner doesn’t think much of Bowen’s reporting though:

BBC’s Bowen Tries to Persuade TV Audiences That Hamas Does Not Use Human Shields

Bowen’s inaccurate and partial reports – which increasingly give the impression that he has self-conscripted to the Hamas media campaign – are coming in thick and fast. As long as the BBC continues to allow that, it breaches the public purpose remit which obliges it to “[b]uild a global understanding of international issues” and that is a problem that BBC management should not be allowed to ignore.

The Media’s Selective Reporting on Gaza Deaths Incites More Violence, Anti-Semitism

Who can say how many attacks on Israelis around the world can be traced back to BBC reporting as a febrile anti-Semitic atmosphere builds in Europe every time Israeli is demonised by the Media:

‘Gas the Jews!’: European anti-Semitism during the Gaza crisis

‘I Thought It Was 1938’ Israeli Ambassador’s Fear Of Rising European Anti-Semitism

Hurrah For Hamas

What the BBC chooses not to publish is just as telling about its stance on any subject as what it does choose to publish.

The Daily Mail has decided that it will support Hamas by inventing history, the BBC has chosen the other path and airbrushes out of history inconvenient facts that detract from Hamas’ image….Jeremy Bowen misleading the readers of the New Statesman about Hamas’ human shield policy just being one example.

Here’s a couple more……

The Times of Israel reports this:

150 Palestinians surrender to IDF in Gaza

The operatives, who came out of hiding spots with their hands raised above their heads, were taken into Israeli custody for further questioning.

In total, 150 Palestinians were arrested, but only 70 of them who were suspected of carrying out terror attacks were transferred under tight security to IDF Intelligence and Shin Bet facilities for interrogation, an IDF spokeswoman told The Times of Israel, adding to 28 operatives already captured. The remaining detainees were later released, Army Radio reported.

The BBC has refused to publish a report on this significant story with its eyecatching photos, at least on its website, whilst the Mail reports this story in a bizarre way presumably designed to generate some ‘outrage’:

Suspected Hamas militants rounded up chain gang-style by Israeli soldiers during Gaza offensive

The Mail tells us that:

  • One photo shows them chained together in two lines with hands on heads
  • Another picture depicts four of them walking in chains while blindfolded

Here are the photos:

Chained up: This photo shows suspected Hamas militants who have been rounded up chain-gang style by Israeli soldiers during the Israel-Gaza conflict. They were captured after the Army entered the Gaza strip

Under armed guard: One photo shows four of the alleged militants later walking in chains while blindfolded

See any chains?  The second photo shows men with their hands zip tied, a standard procedure for any army…the problem for the apparently pro-Hamas Mail is that ‘zip tied’ just isn’t emotive enough…whilst ‘chain gangs’ and ‘in chains’ is far more emotive and redolent of slavery.

Why might the BBC ignore the story?  It shows Hamas failure and Israeli success…and there are no dead or injured women or children in the picture which seems to be the thing that catches the eye of BBC journalists most these days as they flood Gaza with journalists…more there than they send to most other conflicts or battles apparently.

The BBC also didn’t report the supposed shooting of an unarmed Palestinian, usually the bread and butter of any BBC journo wanting a guaranteed slot on the news…neither reporting the original story nor investigating what is a blatant piece of ‘Pallywood’ which would have had an enormous impact on people’s impressions of the war as it went viral on the web and major broadcasters and newspapers all published the story as fact.

The Mail once again tries to generate as much anti-pathy, anger and rage towards Israel as possible with its choice to report that Israel had deliberately shot an unarmed civilian…not once but three times……

WSJ Reporter in Gaza Wonders How Patients in Shifa Hospital Feel About Hamas Using it as Base

Posting a photo to Twitter of a Hamas spokesman being interviewed on camera, Nick Casey, The Wall Street Journal‘s Middle East Correspondent, wondered how patients there might feel about Hamas using the hospital as a “de facto headquarters for Hamas leaders, who can be seen in the hallways and offices,” as reported by The Washington Post last week.

On Monday, Casey wrote: “You have to wonder [with] the shelling how patients at Shifa hospital feel as Hamas uses it as a safe place to see media.”

Journalist Describes Interrogation at Hamas Headquarters Next to Emergency Room at Gaza’s Al Shifa Hospital

Radjaa Abu Dagga, Gaza correspondent for France’s Libération, told the newspaper‘s readers on Tuesday how Hamas refused his requests to leave Gaza and how he was interrogated by Hamas members from their headquarters inside Gaza’s Al-Shifa hospital, a violation of international rules of war.

A few meters from the emergency room where the injured from bombings are constantly flowing, in the outpatient department, he was received in ‘a small section of the hospital used as administration’ by a band of young fighters. They were all well dressed, which surprised Radjaa, ‘in civilian clothing with a gun under one’s shirt and some had walkie-talkies.’  He was ordered to empty his pockets, removing his shoes and his belt then was taken to a hospital room ‘which served that day as the command office of three people.’

Remarkable how no one at the BBC, least of all Jeremy Bowen, saw any of this Hamas activity whilst they reported day in day out from Al-Shifa hospital.

This is John Reed of the FT:

Compromised coverage: Can the BBC really report from Gaza?

Can the BBC and other international news networks really provide ‘war reporting of the highest standards’ from Gaza when their staff are threatened by Hamas enforcers?

The Blame Game

UNRWA also acknowledged on Thursday that Hamas fired into the Beit Hanoun area, where the agency’s school was hit, according to Israel’s Channel 2 News.’

But not according to the BBC who didn’t report UNRWA saying that….nor did they report this….

‘The Israel Defense Forces has counted at least 100 rockets fired by Hamas as striking within Gaza.’

But of course we all know, thanks to the BBC, that Hamas’ ‘homemade contraptions’ are harmless….so this couldn’t possibly be down to them……..

Some sort of explosive weapon has hit a school in Gaza, the BBC says it was a ‘shell’….only the Israelis use ‘shells’…..

Gaza UN school shelter hit, ‘killing 15’

At least 15 people were killed and more than 200 injured when a UN-run school used as a shelter in Gaza came under fire, Gazan health officials say.

Palestinian families were in the school in Beit Hanoun, fleeing Israel’s offensive against Hamas militants.

Correspondents say pools of blood lay on the ground in the courtyard of the school in Beit Hanoun, and there was a large scorch mark where it appeared a shell had hit.

Chris Gunness, a spokesman for the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine refugees (Unrwa), also said the Israeli army had been formally given the co-ordinates of the shelter in Beit Hanoun.

There is a clear implication that the Israeli army did this despite the BBC reporting this:

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said in a statement that …….”In the course of the afternoon, several rockets launched by Hamas from within the Gaza Strip landed in the Beit Hanoun area. The IDF is reviewing the incident,” it said.

Not only does the BBC not report that UNRWA confirms Hamas rockets fell short but it doesn’t report that UNRWA also confirmed that it had been warned to evacuate the area…the BBC instead preferring to say UNRWA ‘also said the Israeli army had been formally given the co-ordinates of the shelter in Beit Hanoun.‘   That is clearly meant to imply the Israelis hit the school despite knowing its exact location.

The BBC doesn’t bother with this:

Both the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and Chris Guinness, the UNRWA spokesman, confirm that the IDF had asked UNRWA to evacuate the Beit Hanoun school (Hamas’ official position on the strike is not yet clear). The IDF was planning to target what it claimed were nearby Hamas rocket launchers.

Others choose to highlight it could have been a Hamas rocket…note once again Hamas prevents evacuation:

IDF Says Bombing, Deaths at Gaza UNRWA School May be From Hamas Rocket Falling Short

“During the afternoon a battle took place between Hamas terrorists and IDF forces in the Beit Hanoun area. Besides that, we indeed have indications that rockets fell in the vicinity, fired by Hamas from within Gaza in the Beit Hanoun vicinity,” the spokesman said.

Later in the evening, the IDF tweeted that “Last night, we told Red Cross to evacuate civilians from UNRWA’s shelter in Beit Hanoun btw 10 am & 2 pm. UNRWA & Red Cross got the message.”

“Hamas prevented civilians from evacuating the area during the window that we gave them,” they army said in a second tweet, adding that “Today Hamas continued firing from Beit Hanoun. The IDF responded by targeting the source of the fire.”

UNRWA also acknowledged on Thursday that Hamas fired into the Beit Hanoun area, where the agency’s school was hit, according to Israel’s Channel 2 News.

An absolutely genuine photo of Hamass leader Khaled Meshaal in exile according to my good mate in Israeli Psyops.

Good though that the BBC gives the leader of Hamas in exile, Khaled Meshaal, plenty of airtime:

Hamas leader Khaled Meshaal told the BBC he wants a ceasefire and end to Israel’s blockade as soon as possible.

“We don’t want to be controlled by a border crossing that makes Gaza the biggest prison in the world,” Mr Meshaal, who lives in exile in Qatar, told BBC Hardtalk.

“People cannot go for medical treatment or to work. Why are the people of Gaza being punished by a slow death in the world biggest prison. This is a crime.”
