B-BBC QUESTION TIME LIVE!

BIASED BBC QUESTION TIMEOK, so coming up on tonight’s programmes, here are the questions that will be posed for discussion and YOU are the guest panelist as libertarianism finally breaks through and asserts itself! 1. The BBC is biased. Yes? In favour of right of left values. Really? Provide instances of this so we can lobby the State broadcaster! 2. Do you think the BBC coverage of the G20 Conference … Continue reading

BACK!

Hi all! Just getting my feet back under the B-BBC table after being away for the past week and what I thought we could do is that given the fact that Question Time is off-air for another few weeks we could do our OWN Question Time. What are the questions you would like to discuss – in particular relation to the BBC’s coverage of current news? Make your suggestions below … Continue reading

So Long, Sheriff

Another poisonous piece from the Man from Laramie. Another immature puerile stream of puke; clumsy, artless, biased and inept. He got so carried away with his description of Palestinian hardship seasoned with lashings of sentimentality that he almost forgot to add the obligatory token reference to eight years of inconvenience from a few irritating home-made rockets. Apart from that brief allusion, he neglected to include any smidgeon of a clue … Continue reading

Unbias!

I thought Evan Davis did a gratifyingly balanced interview with David Howarth and Peter Smyth this morning about the incident at the G20 protest. If only they could apply that approach to other subjects, things wouldn’t seem quite so hopeless. I’d like to hear what everyone else thought. Rather Taxing

Didn’t listen to start the week, but because of the half-price offer I’ve been reading the Telegraph quite a lot. There’s always something in there about the BBC, and today there’s another item by Tim Walker, “Mandrake,” headed “Mystery of BBC’s tax cut for Bono.” A guest on Marr’s programme on Monday morning, Marina Hyde, alluded to Bono’s tax arrangements. “Your lifestyle can undercut the moral seriousness of your mission,” … Continue reading

Economical with the news

I see on several sites- likes Alice’s for example, or the Times– that UK manufacturing output is falling at the fastest rate since 1981. I can’t find a story about it on the BBC UK page, and no-one has mentioned any coverage of it in the comments. On the other hand, I have seen repeatedly that the EU is to support UK car manufacturing. Can it be the BBC doesn’t … Continue reading

Legal purposes crossed

There’s been an interesting story recently which might tell us much about the BBC’s editorial bias. I was reminded of it by this article by William Rees Mogg in the The Times. According to him, senior judge Lord Hoffman, who has spoken out against the Strasbourg law court the European Court of Human Rights, “has supported the shift to judicial liberalism that followed the passage of the Human Rights Act … Continue reading
