The BBC is biased in India too…

“What is interesting is that the BBC is not reluctant to report an accusation — almost as if it were an established fact — but cannot bring itself to report an established fact that the torching of the train was a premeditated act of Islamic terrorism“ Read about it here. I think someone pointed this one out in the comments on this site, too. Click through to read and contribute … Continue reading

“A political crisis out of an economic problem”

I thought that was the strongest soundbyte from the strongest section of Harriet Harman’s interview with Hugh Edwards, and sure enough it was that section the BBC excerpted for their webpage. Edwards clearly showed he was not up to the job when he responded to Harman’s insistence that the problems of the country/Brown/the Labour party were exclusively the consequence of external economic factors by agreeing “all of those factors are … Continue reading

A LITTLE LOCAL DIFFICULTY.

So, after the monumental defeat of the Labour candidate in the Glasgow East by-election, what has the BBC coverage been like? I just caught the Five Live 10 0 clock headlines. Item One was about the SNP victory and the problems it posed for the Great Leader who has said he is getting on with “business as usual.” (Losing) Item two was a story was a story concerning a former … Continue reading

THE LEFT LOVES THE BBC.

Interesting poll results over on Politics Home. It seems that the BBC is trusted more than any other news provider. However, a breakdown of figures by political affiliation reveals that this high rating is due to the overwhelming approval of Labour and Liberal Democrat supporters. Well there’s a surprise! Conservative minded people do NOT put their trust in the BBC and this poll should give the BBC pause for thought. … Continue reading

THE REAL VICTIMS ARE THE AGGRESSORS.

I picked this up care of a Biased-BBC reader DB on the most recent open thread and wanted to amplify the point made. You will recall the murderous assault on innocent Israelis that took place in Jerusalem on July 3rd. A Palestinian psycho hijacked a bulldozer and killed three people and critically injured several more before being shot dead. Then, on July 22nd another Palestinian tried a copycat murder, injuring … Continue reading

THE OBAMESSIAH COMETH.

The BBC’s daily gushing tributes to Obama are an utter disgrace to the very notion of “impartiality.” I listened to Steve Rosenberg’s coverage of the visit by Obama to Germany on “The Today” programme this morning (7.42am) and a more fawning sycophantic biased item would be hard to find. Is Obama already President? Does John McCain even exist? As Steve points out, if Germans could vote in the US election … Continue reading

DO AS I SAY.

I see that the BBC gives great prominence to the decision taken by the EU to suspend largesse to Bulgaria worth hundreds of millions of euros because of concerns about corruption and organised crime. Oddly enough one has to scroll back to November of last year to read that the EU’s own annual financial accounts had still to be signed off, for the 13 year in a row. Likely neglect … Continue reading
