Question Time LiveBlog 9th December 2010

Question Time tonight comes from London. On the panel we have Liam Fox MP, Norman Lamb MP, Sadiq Khan MP, Aaron Porter and Janet Daley. For those playing the Buzzword Bingo we’ll be using the Broken Promises Rules. You should play your Clegg joker early as riot police, any excuse to miss lectures,  anarchy, fire extinguisher, and we’re all in it together are all in play. References to Aaron Porter’s emails suggesting cutting grants and loans … Continue reading

TEARS….

Richard Black here chillingly relates – without an ounce of balancing comment – how our lunatic leaders in Cancun are hatching a plot to deprive us of £100bn a year (of which the UK’s share will be at least £1.5bn a year, enough to pay for legions of university students to avoid going into debt)by ludicrously jacking up “carbon” taxes. Christopher Monckton spells out here what Mr Black doesn’t – … Continue reading

ADMIRING DIRECT ACTION…

Did you catch this BBC interview with one of the guys that have been hacking into various websites such as Visa, Paypal, etc in an attempt to bring them down in order to show support for Julian Assange? The tone is one of ADMIRATION for these cyber criminals. I wonder if BBC servers were being targeted would we get the same swooning towards the hackers? Click through to read and … Continue reading

COALITION WARS

The BBC is salivating at the tension created by the vote on Tuition Fees that comes later today. Listen to Nick “Mr Impartial” Robinson fantasising about how there might yet be a revolution in the Commons to stop the vote going through. I find it entertaining that the BBC consistently ignores the fact that it was Labour that introduced Tuition Fees, that is was Labour that opened up the floodgates … Continue reading

NOT ON THE BBC

This morning, the BBC focuses on a new government scam to insulate our homes , then there’s fawning coverage of heroic Chris Huhne the ecoloon’s mission to try get a binding treaty at Cancun, and oh, by the way, don’t worry because it’s getting warmer (even though the army has had to becalled in to deal with the heaviest snowfall in Scotland for 50 years after the coldest start to … Continue reading

YEAR ZERO AT THE BBC?

Have you read these words of wisdom on the Eurozone, faithfully reported HERE at the BBC? Studying this profound economic analysis, I must say how I am impressed by this new chap Brown. But where has he BEEN for the past eleven years when his country needed such insight….. Click through to read and contribute comments on this post.

THOSE EVIL JOOS…

Here’s an interesting one for your review. BBC Radio 4; The Odd half Hour  Series 3. Broadcast 7 December A comedy show. A sketch in which a reporter interviews the widow of a man killed in an accident. He asks her for the deceased last words. BBC iPlayer at 10mins 20secs: “He said the Jews secretly run the world, he had a lot of funny ideas like that, that’s maybe why … Continue reading

The Reveal

It’s time the BBC stopped immortalising the theory that settlement building is the obstacle to peace, or should I say to peace talks. There’s a lot more to the settlement issue than meets the eye, and we should be given the complete picture. At present, not renewing the moratorium is viewed by most people as merely defiant and provocative on the part of Israel. So it has come to symbolise Israel’s … Continue reading

SOFTBALLS FOR SALMOND

Anyone catch THIS interview with SNP Leader Alex Salmond this morning? Given the SNP’s central role in releasing Libyan bomber Al-Megrahi and given the chaos on Scotland’s roads and streets, one might have expected a rather more challenging interview from Humphyrs but apart from a few token barks at the beginning, I thought he was rather purring as Salmond was allowed to get away with rhetorical murder, in the same … Continue reading

A CURIOUS BIAS

BBC Northern Ireland has been running a story today concerning the news that “Former Sinn Fein councillor Mairtin O’Muilleoir is to re-enter politics as a party representative on Belfast City Council” There are a few problems with this. First of all, WHY does the BBC assume that O’Muilleoir will win a seat in a ward that does not currently have a Sinn Fein representative?!! Did they just take a Sinn … Continue reading
