Just take a look at Hugh Pym’s article on umemployment on the BBC website at the moment. It defies belief! Here’s a paragraph:

‘But many households will feel that if 1997 is as bad as it gets that is not so bad after all.’

I bet the news plays down the snot munchers part in shres going down the pan.

The BBC keep saying that the markets are falling because of recession fears. Bollocks. The City has known about the recession for months. It’s the fact that the snot eaters plan is full of holes.

No one wants to buy shares in banks that are Government run and the BBC ignored his stupid statement that he’s going to cut unemployment by getting people to lag lofts.

Ever see that competition to see how many people you can get in a VW?

Well how about how many beeboid tongues can you get up Gordon’s arse at the same time?

Yet again the BBC uses drama to stab one of its favourite targets – the police this time – in the back.

In Silent Witness our brave pathologists are up against greedy, thick adulterous policemen and women who use the security threats to this country to conduct private vendettas against each other.

Thank heavens for people who are prepared to risk their lives to protect the people of this country. It’s the BBC which is filth, not the police and security services.

You do write some utter drivel at times. As you well know this is not an annual glass of champers for the lads, but a typical example of wasting public money.

Just think of the 400 people on the minimum wage who paid for that champagne.

Thats because it doesn’t apply to elites – just look at Toynbees attack on rich people, this from someone who isn’t short of a few million herself, look at Al Gore whos mansion consumes more energy in a week than the normal houshold consumes in a year.

I’ve been noticing this more and more in the BBC output, i’m starting to believe that there is a desire a within the BBC to portray the Lib Dems as the “true” opposition.

Only today one of their commentators spoke of the “respectful hush” which decended on the House of Commons when Vince stood to speak.

glj writes: “i’m starting to believe that there is a desire a within the BBC to portray the Lib Dems as the “true” opposition.”

In 1997, whether spoken or unspoken, the BBC decided to promote the Lib-Dems to that role. Given their position at the time (some way to the Left of ZaNuLabour) this gave the Corporation the opportunity to pretend not to be openly supporting the government, whilst still espousing and promoting Left wing policies.

Above all, it neutered the Conservatives. Game over.

I see our socialist friends in the BBC are not too keen to spread the wealth of the corporation around the regions. Today’s Telegraph reports that some programmes such as QT, Casualty, Weakest Link and Crimewatch, are being moved to either Scotland or Wales.

This is not going down well with the luvvies at all. David Dimbleby is reported to have expressed “dismay” – obviously he’s none too chuffed at the prospect of slumming it with the provincials!

Expect the BBC budget for 1st class travel and 5 star hotel to go through the roof now.

The third debate is over and I’m sorry to say McCain has blown it. I’d be very surprised if Obama lost the election now. I don’t understand McCain. He should have presented himself as the Sheriff who will clean up Washington by going after criminals like Franks and Dodd but he gave them a pass.

Normally I’d say “let’s give the DemocRATS four years in the White House” but I’m too worried about who Obama really is. DemocRATic Congress, DemocRATic Senate and a DemocRATic President. This will not be good!

  22. Jason says:

I actually thought McCain did well tonight. Not as well as I’d hoped, but what he did was lay the groundwork for issues to go after during the next couple of weeks. He had some great lines and Obama at times looked like a pupil being scolded by a stern schoolmaster.

Of course McCain didn’t do nearly enough to expose Obama. For instance, in discussing the Joe-the-Plumber “spread the wealth” issue, not once did he mention the word “socialism.” The McCain camp NEEDS to introduce this word into the fray and it needs to do it now. Socialism is still a dirty word in America. They need to pound home basic American values of individualism and property rights.

What continues to piss me off are right wing hacks on Fox News doing everything they can to gush praise on Obama and belittle McCain. They did it on cue tonight – the smug twat Kristol, who has an extremely punchable face, couldn’t find one good thing to say about McCain, and Charles SauerKrauthammer, whose commentary on the war and Israel I usually respect, couldn’t wait to proclaim that “it was a draw and thus Obama won.”

Two things come to mind when you see conservative commentators doing everything they can to help Obama win. Firstly, they’re trying to score journalism points by appearing to be “impartial” and not “in the tank” for the Republican candidate. Secondly, I would not be surprised if they really were in the tank for Obama since four years of a radical socialist in office will give them an irresistible opportunity to sharpen their word skills.

Best line of the night, apart from “If you wanted to run against Bush you should have run four years ago” was McCain’s “accidental” slip….”Senator Government.”

    Priceless!

Finally, here’s one of the most interesting articles on this election that I have read so far this year – pour yourselves a nice glass of whiskey and read it from start to finish.

We know for a fact that the vast majority of the MSM and the dead tree press bought into the global warming lies hook line and sinker despite massive evidence to the contrary! The media has just regurgitated the eco mentalist lies and propaganda word for word, just because the media who have been infiltrated by the international left say something is a fact does not mean it is a fact!
Please folks, lets look at the role of the world media in peddling a set message regardless of the facts, look at all the many facts that somehow get forgotten, the MSM/dead tree press is rotten and riddled with the disease of dishonesty and lazyness!
We know the world media lie and cheat on a daily basis and yet even those who should know better STILL trust the media when they proclaim an Obama victory!
The fact is that the world leftist aganda NEEDS an Obama victory to further its common purpose agenda and the media is now simply another tool to further this perverted aim, when codger wins(and he will win) the media will act surprised when in fact the mass media have been lying and cheating us all for many months!
When you hear so much Obama propaganda then just remember the global warming propaganda, compare the two and you will see two stinking peas in a rotten pod!

“BBC face revolt over plans to move programmes including ‘Question Time'”

    [Extract]:

“The plans were announced by the BBC’s director of television, Jana Bennett, and will see a huge increase in the number of programmes made in the devolved nations of Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

“David Dimbleby, the presenter of Question Time, is understood to have expressed ‘dismay’ to BBC executives over their decision to move production of Question Time to Scotland.

“The Daily Telegraph has learned that he may quit the programme in protest at the BBC’s decision, which will see the flagship current affairs show made at the BBC’s new Glasgow headquarters, Pacific Quay.

“The move is scheduled for 2010, the year in which Alex Salmond, the Scottish Nationalist Party leader, is expected to hold a referendum on independence. The three main political parties have joined Mr Dimbleby in expressing astonishment at the decision.”

I stopped reading Martin’s ubiquitous posts after I discovered he was a member of the telly tax paying herd. Too cowardly to make a personal stand against the thing he hates, but a hero at posting anonymous vitriol on a web forum.

Martin should get himself a copy of “Roger Mellie’s Profanisarus Rex” The fully updated and expanded edition which is twice as big and sweary. There he will find a broad range of obscure terms for a variety of bodily fluids and sexual acts, that might help spice his posts up a bit.

    Such as:

TO DO A SHIPMAN: From Harold Shipman. To inject a lady much older than oneself.

SHITTERATI: Collective term for the heroic figures of the age who tun up on such programmes as ‘I’m a Celebrity, Get me Out of Here.’

WALKMAN SHIT: Pairs of dead AA batteries found on bus seats and in other public places.

    Or a particularly apt one:

PUB TERRIER: A breed of small, yappy, unpredictable, aggressive though not necessarily dangerous man whose presence makes one feel oddly uneasy. Found in most public houses in Britain.

Not once did the BBC mention that ACORN are involved in voter fraud across America or that Obama is linked to ACORN.

Why would ACORN bother to register voters if they were not going to vote?

Not only that but you can’t monitor voter fraud. We’ve had it in this Country but as most of it has involved Labour the BBC doesn’t see that as a problem of course.

What made me laugh was Rhod Sharp didn’t even know who ACORN was, just likethe female beeboid in America last week didn’t know who Tony Rezko was.

    Contrast & Compare:

Third death in West Bank clashes
(note photo of grieving women – never seen when reporting on dead Jews)

Palestinian medical workers say Israeli troops have shot dead a Palestinian man in a confrontation near the West Bank city of Ramallah.

The army said he was in a group of three people in Kufr Malik village, one of whom was carrying a firebomb.

Another Palestinian man died overnight after being critically wounded in a clash near a Jewish settlement.

The shooting happened during a protest about another killing on Tuesday of a teenager – also an alleged firebomber.

In the latest incident, Aziz Beerat, 20, was killed when Israeli soldiers in a jeep opened fire in Kufr Malik village, north-east of Ramallah, Palestinian emergency services said.

    […]

A BBC correspondent who visited Jalazun quotes local residents as saying the teenager was killed while walking alone on a road that passes the settlement on the way to the camp.

They said youths do sometimes throw rocks at passing cars belonging to Israeli settlers, but Abdul Qadir Zeit had never participated. They also denied that any firebombs had been thrown in recent days.

Correspondents say tension between Israeli settlers and local Palestinians have peaked in recent days, with each side complaining of violent attacks by the other.

Israel has settled about 450,000 of its citizens in the West Bank and East Jerusalem since it occupied the areas in 1967.

Settlements, which are heavily guarded by the Israeli army, are considered illegal under international law, though Israel disputes this.

Two Palestinians killed in West Bank firebomb incidents
IDF troops shot dead an armed Palestinian early Thursday as he was preparing to throw a Molotov cocktail at soldiers in the West Bank village of Kufr Malik.

The IDF said he was one of three men an army patrol spotted carrying firebombs under cover of darkness and he was shot when he ignored warning fire. The other two escaped.

    […]

During the night, another Palestinian fire-bomber died in a Ramallah hospital after being shot Wednesday during what the IDF said was a mob attack on an army position in nearby Jelazoun refugee camp. Hospital staff named him as Mohammed Ramahi, 21.

The IDF said Ramahi was shot with a blazing firebomb in his hand as he prepared to lob it at troops.

Violence had erupted in the camp after the funeral of a teenage resident shot dead Tuesday as he too was preparing to carry out a firebomb attack, near a Jewish settlement, the army said.

Citing a recent wave of Molotov cocktail attacks in the area between Jerusalem and Ramallah, the army has been stepping up efforts to stop them, including laying nighttime ambushes near potential targets.

Are you saying that the BBC report does not leave out details such as the demonstration referred to was violent, or that other petrol bombs (and pipe bombs) were found close to the dead terrorist, or that the terrorist was shot while he actually held a lit molotov aloft ready to throw?

Are you seriously suggesting that the whole tone of the BBC report is not aimed at promoting the BBC view that the Palestinians are innocent victims of Israeli violence?

Don’t forget the obligatory bottom line(s) that draw false equivalence between Palestinian terrorism and Israel’s actions in self-defence, and justify Palestinian “resistance”:

Correspondents say tension between Israeli settlers and local Palestinians have peaked in recent days, with each side complaining of violent attacks by the other.

Israel has settled about 450,000 of its citizens in the West Bank and East Jerusalem since it occupied the areas in 1967.
