Really? I did not know that. God bless the Swiss!

I bet there’s a bible under the bed, too 🙂

“Those who give up freedom for security, deserve neither” I forget who said that.

I think the guns sales are more than fear of just Obama as president, but fear that conservative thinking is on the decline, and liberals are taking over. We see what happened to the old country, we fear it. Our fathers fled from tyranny to here, where we thrived on freedom, now here comes waves of onslaught against our freedoms and the neighbor can’t see it that way. He want’s to punch your lights out at the post office for rejecting Obama, the mass hypnotist.

let me try to explain this to folks – which justin webb will never do.

mainstream conservatives in america are generaly a polite, church going , decent bunch of folks. slurs like “socialist” dont come easy to them – they always make excuses – that the Dem opponent is a “patriot” and just has a different opinion.

    american republic and all that.

this is now a tsunami – and like a tsunami, the wave is hitting them now , and they are waking up.

in the last weekend before the election.

i think this could turn it. if it was done earlier, folks would have discounted it. been decent conservatives, and ignored it.

now the tsunami is approaching on the horizon… and its a marxist tsunami.

    benjamin franklin.

    the actual quote is
“those who give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety”

which is , more or less, the same thing. but i like the original a lot more.

Up for a little bit of detective work? “joe” has posted links to blogs discussing pics of Obama’s mom – nude.

I am right now comparing the wikipedia pic and the face of the nude pic (just the face, baby don’t roll that way) and I think it is her.

BUT in the first pic there is an album on the stereo rack behind her – anyone recognize that album cover and can you date it?

    betyangelo,

Have you noticed how Michelle Obama has pretty much been yanked from speaking engagements?

Could it be because every time she opens her yap she shows how much she hates America?

That woman comes across as being your typical black racist hater, someone who thinks America owes them something.

Funny how Obama hasnt done any conferences in over a month and a half, Biden has been pulled from running for McCain, Mrs Obama doesnt to much speaking…in fact, pretty much the only people talking in the Obama camp are his media handlers (who have been trained to lie to you while smiling without showing any hatred).

And the MSM went in to over drive about Palin not being served up to them…well bugger me if she aint now the most accessible of all candidates! Yet not a pip from the MSM about that!

Anyway, there is at least one big benefit from an Obama presidency…he will at least make the years of GW look like a fond memory!

Michelle Obama is missing. They had to shut her up, she was saying too much. I wonder how she likes being silenced? It is going to be, if he is elected, the trend.

But I don’ think he’ll get elected. He’s being shoved down our throats. He is the first candidate in to raise money this way, in these amounts – he is basically buying the election.

The American system still works. It will work on Nov 4th – you can’t buy the American people.

I predict soon stories surfacing of the big O’s infidelities. I man of his ego does not remain faithful.

Just why does the BBC insist on referring to “the Democratic Republic of Congo” rather than just the Congo? I have never heard them talk about the People’s Democratic Republic of North Korea or the Federative Republic of Brazil. Is it only African countries that are referred to by whatever pretentious name they choose to give themselves?

    ‘Jonathan Ross and Russell Brand
perfectly presented the Tory case against the BBC’

    By Bruce Anderson

    [Extract]:

“They will never admit it, but quite a few Tories are grateful to Jonathan Ross. They believe that, as a result of his edginess, the BBC is now on the edge: more vulnerable than ever before. They are determined that it should not be allowed to recover.

“Whenever they meet Tories, senior BBC figures invariably stress their commitment to impartiality. The director-general, Mark Thompson, and his deputy, Mark Byford, always talk a good game, partly because they are sincere.

“But below them, Tories sense a culture that is impervious to impartiality. ”

    ‘BBC PAID PRESCOTT £40,000’

    By Jason Groves

“JOHN Prescott has raked in £40,000 from the BBC • thanks to his obsession with class envy.

“The former Deputy Prime Minister was paid the astonishing sum for fronting a television series in which he suggested Tony Blair’s wife Cherie was a snob.

“The payment takes Mr Prescott’s earnings in the past year to £360,000 • 12 times the average household income of about £30,000.

“Last night Theresa May, shadow Leader of the House of Commons, said: ‘It is highly ironic that Mr Prescott has cashed in on his obsession with class warfare to the tune of £40,000.

“‘The public will be rightly asking if their BBC licence fee is being used in the most appropriate way.

“‘Perhaps he should consider donating the cash to charity as a sign of goodwill’.”

‘BBC is told to starve its fat cats’

by Jonathan Oliver and Dipesh Gadher

    [Extract]:

“THE BBC has been urged by ministers to end the culture of ‘fat cat’ pay for top presenters or risk cuts to its £3.4 billion a year of public funding.

“Andy Burnham, the culture secretary, has issued a warning that the seven-figure contracts given to stars such as Jonathan Ross are undermining licence fee payers’ confidence in the broadcaster.

“Burnham is understood to have told Sir Michael Lyons, chairman of the BBC Trust, that the corporation needed to show ‘sensitivity and an awareness of where the public are’. Ministers believe the recession has fuelled hostility to the elite presenters who are insulated from the economic downturn.”

…”Figures obtained by the News of the World under the Freedom of Information Act reveal that the BBC’s top 50 highest paid executives earn up to £14.3m a year between them; 50 managers earned more than £190,000 last year, with Mark Thompson, the director-gener-al, on a package of £816,000.

“The corporation faces a political backlash after the lewd phone call scandal involving Ross and Russell Brand. The row led to Brand quitting the BBC and also claimed the scalp of Lesley Douglas, controller of Radio 2. ”

“Many rank and file Tory MPs want to go much further and abolish the licence fee,
But Mr Cameron is understood to be extremely reluctant to go anywhere near that far. So David Cameron is a sell-out after all.

This, from Bruce Anderson in the Mail on Sunday.

“David Cameron often tells BBC executives that he alone stands between them and the Tory party’s wrath. They could make a similar point to him.

Recently, a very senior Murdoch employee urged Mr Cameron to exploit the Ross affair and was disappointed by the measured response. Said the Tory leader: ”I’ve an election to win.”

  35. SRN says:

Cameron is hardly going to announce that he will be killing the licence fee, 18 months before an election, ffs!

Cameron knows that the provincial, middle-aged, middle-class, Tory voters, are the biggest supporters of the licence fee (ironically). He clearly doesn’t want to publicly rock the boat at this point in time.

Whether he actually is pro-licence fee, is another matter.

I think the recent witch-hunt against his good friend Osbourne (on the orders of Mendelscum, to cover-up his own more serious wrong-doing), may have shifted his opinion, if he wasn’t of that opinion anyway and I’m sure once the BBC start witch-hunts on his government, on the orders of the Labour Party spinners, he will definately see the light.

But, being in oppositon, the Tories cannot do much and risk constant attacks from the BBC (orchestrated by Mendelscum and Campbell), as they have had in the past. Once in government, the Conservatives can act against them, if they do it early on.

COMMENT:Over the last week the BBC has stumbled from one scandal to the next, first we had the BBC ignoring the Mandelson story whilst going on the attack against Osbourne.

We then had Nick Robinson and your economic reporter getting themselves into trouble for their obvious pro-Labour bias in reporting the story (quite why your economic reporter got involved is beyond me).

Next we have Brand and Ross behaving disgracefully, yet the BBC did nothing until the public pressure became to much.
