How about the BBC does us all a favour and insists that its journalists stop rapping for The One and start just reporting the facts? For example, Kevin finishes his ringing endorsement of Obama by declaring that he “has to protect the constitution”. Regarding constitutional liberty, I wonder how Kevin will equate this with the fact that Obama has twice taken an oath to “support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic” and to “bear true faith and allegiance to the same.” He does, as the Patriot Post points out, not honor that oath because he subscribes to the errant notion of a “Living Constitution” which, in his own words, “breaks free from the essential constraints that were placed by the Founding Fathers in the Constitution.” Maybe Kevin could “date to dream” about being a journalist rather than a pathetic echo-chamber for The One?

Just as leftist Philips conflates, in some peculiar way, the Obama -as -US -President somehow with British ‘institutional racism’ (i.e. white, not non-white racism), so too the BBC’s gushing liberal, Kevin Connolly, conflate Obama with conquest of a slave past (even though his ancestors included Arab slavers and white slave owners).

As for Obama? Even Newsweek writers (who featured him approvingly on their front cover every other week) are questioning the “cult of personality”. Liberals confess they know NOTHING about the real Obama. (They should ask the Rev Wright and Prof Ayres to enlighten them). I even heard (on NPR radio) one activist claim that Obama’s father was not “born from a slave family” so he was not a true “African American”. The party, folks, is over. The hangover is about to set in. The cracks are beginning to appear.
I’ve been examining Obama’s first appointments: “Change we can believe in?” Pull the other one. Obama has surrounded himself with a bunch of Democratic partisan operatives (ex-Clinton hacks). He’s trapped by the promises he made to dangerous people on the way up. And I guess because his father was not from a slave family, he has no handholds on the way down.
But his real problem is that he now has to actually DO something. And meanwhile Russia, Iran, Al-Queda and Hillary are set to pounce. If there’s trouble in the Middle East (and there will be) he will abandon Israel by doing nothing to help them…and there goes his Jewish support.
There’s no doubt his election was a great symbolic moment of the USA but in practical terms….???? For all our sakes I hope he’s up to it. Meanwhile, good luck, kid. You’re gonna need it.
And why do I say this on THIS blog? Because none of the above will be represented on any BBC program. And that is criminal.

The superficial fetishism of the left over Barack Obama, which really reflects a kind of inverted racism (of which the Steve Sailer book talks) is illustrated by the fact that so many seem to be enamoured of the fact that he is lean, angular and good looking, and not realising that commending someone on the basis of aesthetics is no different to commendation on the basis of race. Although, of course, many do commend him on the basis of his race.

On what other basis could they judge him? The man has risen without trace and achieved nothing of note.
The only basis for the BBC’s adoration of him is his race – the rest is mere fluff.
The world is a complex place, light and shade, but the BBC and the MSM are not explaining the world to us in all its complexity, but seem to be in the business of creating myths. The heroic narrative myth of Barak Obama is being written as we speak. It has nothing to do with the individual (who is probably just another creepy politician, we don’t know him at all) but about the demons in their souls.
Example: a liberal friend of mine emailed me pleading with me to give Obama a chance. After all, he added, another man of color, Bobby Jindal, untried and untested, has done such a good job in Louisiana. Wow! He was comparing a liberal Democrat to a Conservative Republican – a man of Indian descent to a man of African origin – but my liberal friend saw only that both were “non-white”. How patronizing. How simple minded. We’ve got to stop looking at color.
The “Muslim” subject is very different. I oppose militant Islam because it includes a belief system that threatens our very democracy. Let’s not confuse the two.
