Someone should alert John Humphreys. He did a whole book on the ‘mangling of the English language’. Bet we hear no more about this classic.

Simon Mayo had some woman on today talking about the mangling of the English language. Typical BBC twats. Need to sort their own fucking house out first.

For the last 11 years kids have been told at school that spelling doesn’t matter and kid’s TV is full of mistakes, for example the last episode of Grange Hill had a sign saying ‘Year 10’s’, so is it any wonder they do things like this?

Where does the BBC find these morons? Would they have us believe that this is the cream of the crop, the top people they interview for a job?

    Apostrophes?
And a new survey claims that half the population is unable to use the
apostrophe correctly – is it time to scrap it?

No, a national campaign should be launched to teach that half of the population how to use it!

Yes, obviously done to offend, because they’re Al-Beeb.

That’s why there’s been so much coverage of this story:

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/berkshire/7720125.stm

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/remembrance/

and the News at Ten’s coverage all week of how some young people don’t really know what happened in the war, and the importance of remembering.

    What a crock.

Obviously Boba Fett has missed the entire point, making a comment based on his own bias, and not on the topic of the thread.
