For the last two years, it has been operating in a parallel universe, myopically ignoring the mounting questions surrounding Lucy Letby’s guilt and the growing evidence of a maternity scandal at the Countess of Chester Hospital.
It has ploughed on regardless, eating through millions of pounds in taxpayer funding, while the Criminal Cases Review Commission (CCRC) decides whether to send the case back to the Court of Appeal.’

And the BBC is determinedly ignoring that question as well.
The BBC has persistently and relentlessly insisted that Lucy Letby is guilty….there is absolutely no doubt in their minds that this is so….they will not accept that there may be questions….they will not allow anyone to question the verdict of ‘guilty’….they are extraordinarily adamant about the verdict.
Their top headline today…
‘Baby ‘cot cams’ plan after inquiry finds Lucy Letby crimes could have been prevented’
And another report today…
‘Repeatedly untruthful, callous and quiet – what we learned about Lucy Letby from inquiry report’
Well OK then…string her up…except that the BBC gives no examples of Letby lying other than the word of parents whose babies died….and we know they all want Letby to be guilty and themselves hate the idea of her having a fair appeal.
And note…
‘The public inquiry was not tasked with examining Letby’s guilt.’
So why is the BBC trying to fabricate a case for the prosecution by claiming Letby was a cold hearted callous person obviously capable of killing a baby?
Here’s the BBC’s proof…
‘In a message to a colleague, Letby said: “Dad was on the floor crying saying please don’t take our baby away when I took [Baby A] to the mortuary, it’s heart-breaking.”
Thirlwall said the mother of Baby A and Baby B, who Letby attempted to murder, was clear that this was not true and did not happen.’

‘But Thirlwall outlined how Letby’s “inappropriate and callous behaviour” was noted by patients and colleagues.
The mother, for example, of Baby E, who Letby murdered, and Baby F, who she attempted to kill, told the inquiry she had had “two thriving little boys” but that “in the space of a couple of hours it had all been taken”.
After Baby E’s death, the mother told the inquiry she found her baby was still in his incubator, and she asked Letby why.
“You haven’t told us to take him,” she says Letby told her.
Thirlwall said Letby’s remark to a “bereaved mother was shockingly cold and unfeeling.”‘
But…could that not be that Letby was allowing the mother to grieve and see her baby rather than whip it away before the mother had come to terms with the death? So is it compassion and caring or ‘shockingly cold and unfeeling’?
It does seem the BBC is determined to keep Letby in prison regardless of the truth…and perhaps is hoping to influence the upcoming Criminal Cases Review Commission’s decision whether to allow an appeal.
And of course it is utterly bizarre that an inquiry into this could ignore the question of guilt….if she’s not guilty then the inquiry findings are basically trash….odd the BBC doesn’t point that out.

I wonder if anyone has done an inquiry into inquiries ? Such as – does anyone read them ? Particularly the ‘recommendations ‘? I think they are used just to allow a politician to say ‘we’ve done something ‘( set up an inquiry ) then kick the can so far that by the time the inquiry reports it’s somebody else’s ‘ problem … and repeat …particularly the fees the lawyers get for achieving nothing ..
It’s all to pay the quangos, the little people, the pathetic, socialist, small-minded MPs and all their legal flunkies for eventual saying the usual blather, ‘Learning lessons’, and thereonin doing absolutely nothing.
What is very clear is that the statistical evidence presented at Letby’s trial was seriously flawed and misled the jury.
The inquiry obviously didn’t consider this because the babies deaths were murder and the murderer is behind bars. It seems to be very unfortunate the inquiry was held despite the proceedings of a criminal case review. The parents appear to be firmly behind the guilt of Letby, it’s probably a desire for closure, compensation? Sorry for the brutal assessment, I don’t mean to diminish the loss the parents have endured.
The recommendation that all cots and incubators be fitted with webcams/CCTV is ludicrous. It does usefully demonstrate the unsuitability of the inquiry Chair.
I’m sorry to say that the English adversarial system regularly creates injustices.
The BBC knows it’s tosh but click-baity tosh…..they’re loving the ‘scandal’…the sports reporters have a juicy story…but it’s tosh.

I am finding the contrast between the MSM version of the state of the Ukrainian war and the version told by certain reputable You Tube channels , eg the Duran , interesting.
The BBC et al are on the one hand keen to emphasis that Ukraine is at least holding its own , that Russia is in economic melt down and short of troops and that the Putin regime faces mounting internal opposition. On the other hand they claim that despite these weaknesses Russia is about to invade NATO and that a direct attack by NATO on Russia is both justified and necessary to prevent Putin’s army from reaching the channel coast by next week.
Obviously both of these claims can’t realistically be true.
The Duran et al claim thatUkraine is on its last legs , that it has no troops left, no air defence, morale is rock bottom , the population has turned against the war and that Russia will occupy the eastern part of the country by Christmas. Also that NATO , or at least it’s European members, are trying to provoke Russia , or run false flag ops , to create a limited war with Russia. Which is course is insanely dangerous but when elites are in trouble they often think that war will bring their populations back into patriotic alignment. They are very likely completely wrong this time.
The contrast between the two sources of news is extreme. It is far more than the result of a different editorial stance it is clear that one side , or possibly both , are just spewing out lies and propaganda.
As I don’t trust a word the BBC says about anything and my trust in the UK government is similarly low , I’m inclined to believe that the Duran will be closer to the truth. But only time will tell. Of course if the balloon does go up we might never know.

Fascism. Racism. Two words that are thrown around so casually and inaccurately that they’re rapidly losing their potency.
When every disagreement is met with “You don’t agree? Oh, you’re a racist,” the words stop functioning as serious descriptions and become rhetorical weapons, moral hand grenades thrown to shut down legitimate discussion rather than engage with it.
This woman comes across like she’s spent too long inside a corporate HR department: completely detached from the complexity of the real world, viewing everything through a narrow ideological prism.
She almost come across as a bad actor.
The concern being raised isn’t about race or skin colour. It’s about culture, and there is a substantial body of evidence, research, and experience that can be brought to bear on cultural differences and their consequences. Just ask those forced to live beside these people and what they’ve endured.
