SHEER IGNORANCE….

One of the elements of the BBC’s bias is the deliberate, constant re-writing of history to fit its own narrative, and the drip-drip of its own propaganda messages. The impact of the Deepwater Horizon oil blow-out was far less than the panic-reporting by the BBC predicted, but the corporation hates anything to do with fossil-fuel as part of its greenie obsession, so that’s not what it wants to believe. To them, according to this report this morning, Deepwater remains “one of the worst disasters in US history”. What pig-ignorant cobblers. The reality is that 11 people died and a few miles of coastland has suffered from oil-related pollution. The rest of the damage was inflicted by government ineptitude, vindictiveness to BP (and British interests) and over-reaction. How can that be even remotely compared to 9/11, the San Francisco earthquake of 1906 or the 1900 Galveston Hurricane?

What makes such vapid nonsense so damaging is that it diverts attention away from the main substance of the news piece, that the Obama administration had not got the faintest idea how to deal with events, other than to blame the Brits. Shameful reporting.

The BBC got it wrong, their coverage and predictions were dead wrong, the reliance on ecofascist gangs for its information sources was wrong and the conclusions the BBC came to were wrong.

Everything the BBC did and claimed was wrong, their reaction was clearly narrative based and they used the oil spill to further their political narrative and it showed!
All of the false claims and lies and manipulations of the facts and the cynical dishonest presentation of supposed visual evidence like the oil soiled birds shown time after time to give the impression there were many when in fact there were very very few all show the BBC for who and what they are.
In fact we have seen no real examination of the MSM reaction to the oil spill as yet, the kneejerk hysterical scaremongering based on prejudice and ideology. The BBC is beyond criticism it seems, they seem to be immune to the sort of self critical insight and retrospective examination of mistakes that the BBC demands of other groups.

The BBC got it dead wrong and they really need to examine why and who was to blame, untill they do this they can never learn from their mistakes and perhaps that is why the BBC has degraded into the mess it is now.

Barry made a total screw up over BP and the BBC are hiding it. Funny the BBC were very happy to blame Bush for everything about Katrina. Ray Nagin BBC?

Sheer ignorance as well as sheer bias this morning as at 7.44am on the Today programme, author and all-round idiot Peter Carey is given carte blanche to call George W Bush stupid. Without challenge by Rebecca Jones, who as a typical generic, didn’t even notice it. Imagine The One being called stupid by anyone on the BBC. Immediate censure.

It was the sustained bias on Toady that was noteworthy. These are the people who managed the news in such a way to deflect as much criticism as possible from the recent labour government and simply refused to question their pronouncements.
Every single piece on todays programme was an insidious attack on the coalition and what they need to achieve to balance the countrys’ books.
For every nobel winning scientist who can’t get a visa, there are probably 10,000 low rent economic migrants, but hey lets not mention them !

Who gives a damn what an author of fiction thinks about anything ?
Maybe Rebecca should have pointed out that Bush went to Yale and Harvard.

Yes, some limp-wrist telling us that those inadequate spongers who keep having babies at everybody elses expense should have child benefit – after all it wasn’t THEIR fault that babies inexplicably kept coming along, and the parents weren’t working (and probably never had)…

Someone else telling us that we should contribute more to our pensions, and ideally, save all our working lives for them.  Wasn’t it just a short time ago, under a labour government that thousands of people who had done just that were shafted by the one-eyed bogey muncher?  And haven’t the banks also systematically robbed us savers blind?  No wonder no-one wants to save any more, it’s not worth the bother or the day-to-day deprivations of going without.

And someone else whingeing about the immigration cap, saying that British industry will suffer because of the lack of foreign graduates/experts, (all incidentally, with foreign names who have all suddenly become “British”).  What British industry?  And is it not possible to educate/recruit/train REAL British people?  Apparently not, after all, they do leave full time education knowing sod all – they can’t write, spell, add up or subtract, and know bugger all about anything.

What a country – what an abject disgrace.  the Former United Kingdom – Third World State.

My God, I’m glad I’ve lived in the period that I have, good education, worked hard, stayed healthy collected a reasonable pension (to which I contributed) and unashamedly deserted a sinking hulk of a country for another a little further UP the slippery slope of decay.

Speaking of “yes, we can – No, we didn’t” Obama, has the BBC reported this, yet?

I would rather they didn’t report a slip of the tongue. I just wish they were consistent about it when reporting on people they don’t like.

Well, my hat is off to the BBC News Online team as they beat me to this.  I could have sworn I checked before saying anything, but there it is.  I posted a comment on the open thread last night asking if they were going to report this, seeing as how they censored all news of the problems with the clean-up effort.  They even mention the President by name, twice.  Is this the first time the BBC has ever said anything would be “an embarrassment” to Him?  I’ll enjoy that moment while I can.

They published this piece but, considering the spill (leak) was supposed to have been such a disaster, as well as all the time the BBC spent freaking out over it for about two months, one would think this would be a fairly major story on the News Channel or a feature on the radio or something.  If this one article is all they do, they may as well be sweeping it under the rug.

Having said that, this does prove that the BBC censored this news from you the entire time, and they should be examining their priorities and integrity.

  8. John Horne Tooke says:

“Putting the BP Oil Spill into Perspective
What is many, many, MANY orders of magnitude worse than the BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico? Answer — Mother Nature!

Sure, this spill may well do some serious environmental damage. Sure, additional measures should be taken to help prevent another incident like this one. But, step back and examine the data.

It has been suggested that this spill could become roughly as large as the Exxon Valdez spill. But, among the largest spills, the Exxon Valdez ranks #15. And, the largest spill ever (in 1991) was at LEAST 39 times larger than the Exxon Valdez.

But, the REAL kicker is that scientific data demonstrate that “Natural Seepage”, (aka Mother Nature) contributes many, many MANY orders of magnitude MORE petroleum inputs into the worldwide marine environment than offshore oil and gas development ever has or ever will. And, this spill will to NOTHING to alter that equation!

    This source …. indicates:

“a reasonable seep rate for the entire Gulf [of Mexico] is… about 140,000 tonnes per year”

The Exxon Valdez spilled less than 40,000 tonnes.

So, as the eco-nuts ramp up their hysteria mongering campaign against offshore drilling, remember that their hysteria would be FAR better directed at that evil old bitch known as Mother Nature. In fact, they should focus their protests on the beaches of Santa Barbara.

But, these eco-nuts are the same sorts of people who want to boycott AriZona Iced Tea (which originated in Brooklyn, New York and is currently based out of Cincinnati, Ohio). They’re not the sharpest knives in the drawer. They don’t care about facts, data or science — only their emotional reactions.”

I can’t believe I forgot to mention the other key bit of information the BBC censored from this report.  It’s a new fall season, so it’s time to play our new game:  Spot the Missing Campaign Donor.

Guess who was their Number One recipient?

Of course, being a man of principle, Obama will return the donations to BP. If he doesn’t, the BBC will hound him out of office.
